Windows Error Recovery Windows 7

I have a late 2006 iMac 24" and I simply can't complete the installation of windows 7 on it. I am caught in a Windows Error Recovery screen loop, it just keeps restarting and go back to that screen. I have tried just about everything I can think of and have tried everything suggested in my search for a solution. Can anyone help or even just tell me that my iMac model isn't compatible......

Windows loaded files from repair CD disk. A Windows blue background screen with leaves appears without Windows logo (not the blue screen of death); files load and cursor appears; CD stops running; but nothing else happens with screen for eight hours.
Something wrong with that repair disc or the hardware. The bitness of Windows on the hard drive should not matter at this point. I would burn another disc and try again.
Never seen a blue background with leaves. Can you snap a photo for us?

Boot is set to hard drive first and CDRW second.
    Turn on the computer
8 seconds later it goes to Windows Error Recovery.
When I choose Launch Startup repair, it goes straight to Windows Boot manager. See #6.
When I choose Windows start normally, it goes to “Starting Windows”. After several minutes, it recycles to Windows Error Recovery Screen and then to Windows Boot Manager screen. See #6.
If I choose neither, it goes to Windows Boot manager; Windows failed to start; Status: 0xc000000e Info:       The boot selection failed because a required device is inaccessible. I do not have the Windows Installation disc.
    Action taken:
Created a Window 7 64-bit system repair disk on another computer.
Changed bios boot to CDRW first and hard drive second and saved.
Inserted System repair disk into CD drive.
Turned on computer and pressed any key.
Windows loaded files from repair CD disk.
A Windows blue background screen with leaves appears without Windows logo (not the blue screen of death); files load and cursor appears; CD stops running; but nothing else happens with screen for eight hours.
I do not have the Windows Installation disc.
Please, what do you think is wrong with the computer or what should I do next?  Your help will be greatly appreciated.  How do I confirm that it is Windows 7 32 or 64 Bit?  I am trying to fix this for my friend who probably bought it in the Indonesia area.  Thank you in advance.

  • Help me, pls! Getting Windows Error Recovery of windows 7

Hi, my computer is in problem. It's Windows Error Recovery. Then, I did the steps by computer,I clicked the Startup Repair(Recommanded). A startup repair window appears and it scans the problems. It's scanning, I waited for several hours.. but it's scanning and scanning endlessly! It says "recovering disk error, this might take over an hour to complete".. yeah, more than an hour, I waited for five hours, nothing changed..scanning and scanning... What should I do?....

    Hi,
Try tapping F8 on startup to check if it loads to Safe Mode..If it loads to Safe mode then you can perform a System Restore...Also check the hard drive by tapping F2 on startup..
    OR,
Try the steps mentioned in the link below:
Actions when specific error messages display
    Note:
If you have HP Support Assistant installed on the computer(The Blue Question Mark) then open it ==> Complete all pending Updates & Tuneups==> Restart and Check. It may solve your problem

  • Network drivers not working and Windows Error Recovery Message issues

I have a ThinkPad laptop T530 series in which about five of my network adapters are showing the exclamation mark in a yellow triangle next to them. When clicking on properties, it states that" this device will not start--code 10." I have tried the network sharing troubleshooter and this has not worked.
The second issue I am having is that upon starting my computer I am constantly getting a Windows Error Recovery message which I have to press on the proceed to Windows as the startup repairs do not seem to rectify the issue.
I would very much appreciate if someone could help me resolve these issues

I don't have a solution to your main problem, but I have one for the error message.
If I am right, then Airport is causing the problem. 192.168.1.1 is the address that the Airport Base Station will take right away. To fix this, you need to go into Airport Admin Utility. Click on your base station and click "Configure." Click on the "Network" tab. Now it should look something like this:
    http://i198.photobucket.com/albums/aa187/adam_0/Network%207-28-07/Picture2.png
The problem is that the Airport is using the same IP number set as the router that you have. If you disconnect or unplug the Airport, then that would fix it easily, but if you want to keep your Airport connected, then all you need to do is pick one of the other number formats, like this:
    http://i198.photobucket.com/albums/aa187/adam_0/Network%207-28-07/Picture4.png
Now, I'm no expert on this stuff, but from what I understand, this could get you one step closer to your destination. Good luck!

  • HP G62 Windows Startup error recovery Failure

    Notebook:
    HP G62 - 228CL
    Running Windows 7 64-bit
Hello everyone, I need a bit of help.
My computer will boot windows 7. When I start it up, it tries to boot up.  I then get a Windows failed to boot message on the windows error recovery screen and asks me if I would like to use Windows Startup Repair Tool to fix the Problem. But the tool never starts up. It just leads to a windows background and does nothing. I have also tried using f11 System recovery but it does nothing.

    Hi,
    Firstly, regarding your existing files.
One possible way to try and retrieve your files from a non-booting drive is to follow the process detailed in the link below.  The Ubuntu operating system CD you create can run from the CD alone ( ie it doesn't have to install on the Hard Drive ) and I've often found it to be successful in retrieving data even from a failing Hard Drive.  When you've created the CD, follow the instructions and see if you can back up your existing files.
    http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/use-ubuntu-live-cd-to-backup-files-from-your-dead-windo...
Secondly, regarding the replacement of the Hard Drive.
The drive on the link below is an example of one that would be fine for your notebook.
    500Gb Hard Drive
The procedure to replace the Hard Drive starts on Page 52 of your Maintenance & Service Guide.
Once done, simply use your Recovery DVDs to reinstall the Operating System on the new drive - the procedure is described in the HP document Here.
If you don't have your Recovery Discs, you can order a replacement set using the link below.
    Order HP Recovery Discs.
If you have any problem with this link, order them directly from HP.
If you live in the US, contact HP Here.

  • ITunes not installed correctly. error 7 windows error 127

I recently updated my iTunes for Mac and ever since then I get an Error 7 (Windows error 127) window after this window (below) pops up.
Any recommendations how to fix it? I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling ALL Apple software, restarting, and it's still giving me that error.

Try deleting the file Webkit.dll from the folder C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple Application Support, then repair Apple Application Support in the Programs and Features control panel.
If hasn't worked then for general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down the page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.

I did the update and now itunes wont open...I get a windows error 7 (windows error 198)  HELP

    Hello there, thumerick.
The following Knowledge Base article addresses the very issue you're describing:
iTunes 11.1.4 for Windows: Unable to install or open
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS5376
    Check for .dll files
Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes and C:\Program Files\iTunes and look for .dll files.
If you find QTMovie.DLL, or any other .dll files, move them to the desktop.
    Reboot your computer.
Note: Depending on your operating system, you may only have one of the listed paths.
    Uninstall and reinstall iTunes
Uninstall iTunes and all of its related components.
Reboot your computer. If you can't uninstall a piece of Apple software, try using the Microsoft Program Install and Uninstall Utility.
    Re-download and reinstall iTunes 11.1.4.

  • Windows Error Msg when using Itunes - "There is no disk in the drive. "

    Hi there -
Desperately seeking help before I lose my mind !
Whenever I try to do anything in iTunes I get the Windows windows error message "WINDOWS - NO DISK. There is no disk in the drive. Please insert a disk into drive ." with the options to either CANCEL, TRY AGAIN or CONTINUE.
Regardless of which of the options I select, the error message re-appears & will not close.
I try CTRLALTDEL but I get the message Itunes is "not responding".
    I have tried:
    - Updating iTunes software
    - Making sure I have the latest Windows Updates
    - Uninstalling and reinstalling iTunes
    - Selective start-up where I disable all applications which might be clashing with iTunes
    - clearing the menu in QuickTime
    None of these work
    Any ideas ?
    Thanks -
    HP Pavillion   Windows XP

I am wondering if you ever got this problem straightened out, or if anyone else knows the solution to this problem. I am receiving the exact same message as you talk about receiving here:
"WINDOWS - NO DISK. There is no disk in the drive. Please insert a disk into drive ."
No drive is listed, just a "."
I also have tried uninstalling and resinstalling iTunes many times. Not only that, but I thought it might be a virus problem of some kind, so I totally resintalled my Windows XP system. All to no avail. Even on my newly installed system I am having this problem in iTunes.
I have found that if I hit Cancel about 80 times (literally), iTunes will finally load. But it is crazy that anyone should have to go throug this each time he loads the iTunes program.
Someone posted a link to a Microsoft fix for a similar problem, but I was unable to understand the fix, and the problem listed in the fix did not seem to correspond with the problem we're having.
If anyone knows the solution to this problem and is able to give instructions for the solution, I would really appreciate it! I would just use an alternative mp3 player to iTunes at this point if I could, but that isn't really feasible since I have an iPod.

  • TS3074 iTunes for Windows: "Error 7" message when opening iTunes in Windows 8

I have Windows 8 (64bit). I have uninstalled iTunes and re-installed iTunes several times as it has constantly instructed me to do. It says that iTunes has been sucessfully installed; however, when I try to open iTunes, I keep getting the message "iTunes for Windows: Error 7 (windows error 127)".

Here is what it said....But every time I reinstall iTunes it says it was successful. I'm using Windows 8 (64 bit).

  • Backup with retention policy to recovery window of N days

    Hello,
I've issued command to create database incremental backup with configuration:
    run
      configure retention policy to recovery window of 14 days;
      backup incremental level 1 cumulative
        tag daily_incr_14_days
        database
      plus archivelog delete all input;
All parameters are set to their default values and database backups goes to FRA. I've got recovery catalog connected and all RC_ views at my disposal.
    1) Is there any way to find out, what recovery window was used for backup from any command in rman or query from RC_ views or local database views (information from control file)?
    2) If I use other recovery window setting with configure command what would rman crosscheck or report commands do?

    Mahir,
thanks for answer - this means that recovery window should be used mainly for maintenance purposes (crosscheck, delete obsolete, report need backup etc.) and it's not related to actual retention period with backup pieces like 'keep until' clause for backup ... database command (this information are saved with backup as I could check in rc_backup_set view from recovery catalog)?
    Yes it is.
Maintaining RMAN Backups and Repository Records
    keepOption
    backup retention policy
A user-defined policy for determining how long backups and archived logs must be retained for media recovery. You can define a retention policy in terms of backup redundancy or a recovery window.
RMAN retains the data file backups required to satisfy the current retention policy, and any archived redo logs required for complete recovery of those data file backups.
    recovery window
A recovery window is one type of RMAN backup retention policy, in which the DBA specifies a period of time and RMAN ensures retention of backups and archived redo logs required for point-in-time recovery to any time during the recovery window.
The interval always ends with the current time and extends back in time for the number of days specified by the user. For example, if the retention policy is set for a recovery window of seven days, and the current time is 11:00 AM on Tuesday,
RMAN retains the backups required to allow point-in-time recovery back to 11:00 AM on the previous Tuesday.
