"Windows Explorer Has Stopped Working" Error Message Loop upon Startup of WIndows 7 Ultimate 64-bit

Ok I have a HP Touchsmart 6000 running Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit OS.  It is my 74 year old mothers computer and about 3 months ago it started acting up.  First thing that happened was the internal DVD Burner started working intermitently, recognizing
her QuickBooks backup DVD files occasionally.  I got her a new  internal DVD burner and it worked for a while.   during that time on Startup Help and Support would all of a sudden popup right away.    Then recently Adobe Acrobat would
launch a PDF file about Flash and keep opening multiple instances of it.   Now her new DVD doesnt work again and on startup at the windows desktop she gets an error "Windows Explorer has Stopped Working".   No matter what I click the error
keeps looping.  No program has been opened that causes it to crash because the error happens immediately and keeps repeating.   I have tried to boot to Safe Mode, Safe Mode with Networking and have tried System Restore to no avail.
I have ran Malwarebytes Antivirus, Malwarebytes AntiExploit, AntiRootkit as well as Combofix.   I have run the AntiMalware software from Microsoft and have updated all the drivers for the HP system.   To no succcess.
At one point the system did load and an error came up JAN2OSD failed to start due to missing ACPI or something like that.  For that brief moment Explorer stopped crashing.   When I finished updating  driverss though the error  came back.
Please Help  as she is about to cry and no one wants to make a 74 year old woman cry.:)
Thanks,
Jeff

  • "Internet Explorer Has Stopped Working" error message

I have Windows Vista and have uninstalled all of itunes and all applications including Quick Time. I have gone to itunes.com to re-install itunes but it will not allow me to do that. Each time that I do I get the error message, "Internet Explorer has stopped working" and asks if I want to shut it down. I have shut it down, which didn't help, and I have just closed the dialog box which takes me to a window thanking me for loading itunes, but there is no itunes to be found on my computer. I also was told my popup filter was too high and medium was recommended, in checking that out it was already set on medium. Anyone know how to solve this?

    Hi Caroline,
Your question belongs to 3rd arty add-on forum. I will move it there after few days.
To give you a tip: try restart everything to see if problem could be gone away. If not, you have to do a clean reinstall for the add-on.

  • 'iTunes has stopped working' error message on iTunes startup with vista

Today i downloaded iTunes 7.1, i opened it and all seemed well, i played a few tracks etc.
but, when i plugged my ipod in i was told that iTunes has stopped working,
i tried to open it again, but the same message pops up.
so i restarted the computer, tried again, with and without the ipod in, still no success.
So i re installed itunes. Noting, i even re-dowloaded it, but still nothing.
i can't even open it, let alone sync my ipod.
I am currently running vista premium, and i had ipod problems with 7.0.2, i had to manually manage the iPod, auto sync crashed the computer. How do i fix it?!?

  • Windows 7 Error Message: Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library Runtime Error.... Followed by Windows Explorer Has Stopped Working

I am running a system that is not quite 6 months old, which is loaded with Windows 7 Professional, 64 bit.
The error message that I get is as follows: Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library.  Runtime error!  Program C:\windows\Explorer.exe.  This application has requested the runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.  Please contact the
application's support team for more information.
Once I respond to that message, I get a message that says "Windows Explorer has stopped working.  Then I get "Windows Explorer is re-starting"
I don't know if the next event is related - today, immediately after getting the message above, I got a pop-up that said "An update to Adobe Flash Player is available" - and I am given the option of installing it or not.  Today, I did not install
the update - although I recall having accepted this update in the past (again, I don't know if the two situations always occur together).
Is there some help I can be provided to correct this problem?  I have looked at several related topics in this database, but have not found anything that seems to directly relate to my question.
       Thanks!    Mark

    Hi,
Did you try to reinstall the Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable
Package (x86) to check this issue?
What about to boot the computer in safe mode and Clean Boot to test this issue?

  • ITunes has stopped working error message on my Dell Latitude E6520 when trying to sync photos to my iPhone 3GS.  Why?!

For some reason, I keep getting the "iTunes has stopped working" error message on my Dell Latitude E6520 when trying to sync photos to my iPhone 3GS.  I am using Windows 7 on my 64-bit computer.  iTunes will begin to optimize the photos in the folder I have directed it to (I am trying to load almost 3000 photos and videos), and it will go through optimizing all of them singularly, then get to the step where it says "optimizing" again, but does so in bigger groups.  It will get to about 2000, and then the error message "iTunes has stopped working" will pop up, and say that "Windows must close the program and will search for a solution, and if it finds one, it will notify me".  Why can't I sync these photos, and what can I do?  Thanks so much for the help, I really appreciate it!

Same problem here! Moreover, for some reason, the pictures in my iPhone 3GS somehow have been divided into 2 folders, Photos and Medialibrary. And when I open iPhone as a folder through the explorer I can see only the Photos folder, but cannot see the Medialibrary folder which stores the photos taken before updating/upgrading the iPhone and getting separated folders!!! What the hack with all of this?!!! When I connect iPhone to PC it automatically opens iTunes and starts syncronizing it, but at the process of OPTIMIZING the photos (and according to the number of photos it shows, I see that it tries to syncronize that invisible Medialibrary folder) the process suddenly stops and error message pops out Tried the sync test, tried the button DEBUG in that pop out message, but NOTHING HELPS!!! Also, when I open the Medialibrary in my iPhone, the screen get sblack all through scrolling it down, only the video clips are shown there... >.<
So, could you, apple developers, please, explain WHAT THIS PROBLEM IS ABOUT?!!!!!! FIX IT! I am getting ****** of to spend hours at the computer and reading those lame advises which do not help at all! I have my own things to do except reading your support websites. And I payed for the product ready to use, but not a halfproduct which problems should further be solved somehow by users..

  • Can't install iTunes 11 on Widows 8, 'iTunes has stopped working' error message

Two months ago, I bought a new computer that uses Windows 8.  I was running iTunes 10.6 on it fine until today, when it crashed for some unknown reason.  Every time I've tried to open it again, I kept on getting a 'iTunes has stopped working' message.  I've uninstalled 10.6 and tried installing iTunes 11, but keep getting the same 'iTunes has stopped working' error message with no other details.  I've tried installing it as an administrator, but got same failed results.
    Any help?
    Thanks, Mike

  • Windows Explorer has STOPPED Working

OK, I have iTunes 8 installed, the allegedly CORRECTED version. When I start iTunes 8, I receive a message that says, "Windows Explorer has Stopped Working" and gives me two options:
First Option - Check online for a solution and restart the program (Program being Windows Explorer).
Second Option - Restart the Program (Program being Windows Explorer).
Option One does not provide a solution, just restarts Windows Explorer!
    Option Two restarts Windows Explorer.
When I choose to "View the Details" of the error, I receive the following:

Is anyone else having this issue with iTunes 8?
    Thanks ~~ Gunny

I THINK that this is the repeated one, because I was doing it one after the other. And yes, as far as I know, everything is up to date. I'm fairly advanced when it comes to computers, but this has me boggled.

  • ZENcast Organizer Has Stopped Working Error Message

3ZENcast Organizer Has Stopped Working Error Message+ Hi
Please could somebody give me some assistance with the following problem, I have looked through the posts but cannot find anything on this problem.
A couple of days ago I have tried to open ZENcast Organizer on my computer and got the following error message:
''Creative Zencast has stopped working. A program caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available'.
It would not open up ZENcast Organizer and just closed the program.
I thought there may have been a problem with the program, so I unistalled it etc. and then went to the ZENcast website where I downloaded and installed the newest version which is 2.0.0.
After restarting my computer etc, I tried to access the program but just get the same error message as above.
I am using Windows Vista Home Premium 32 and have the 32GB Zen.
Any help would be really appreciated.
    Regards
    Wayne

I have the same system. I am getting the same with ZenCast, although it seems to work more often when I ignore the shortcut and go through the start menu. Strange but seems to work.
Also on Creative MediaSource 5 Organizer I am getting issues with it stopping after 2 songs and giving me the same error.
I am going to try to re-install with software from the website. I had used my disk that came with my Zplus because I thought based on what I read here that it was ready to go.
Will let you know if it gets better or not.

  • 'Elements 11 Organizer has stopped working' Error Message

I recently upgraded from Photoshop Elements 10 to 11.  Everything works great while I am using it but if I do not do anthing in Elements for 4-5 minutes I get the 'Elements 11 Organizer has stopped working' error message, the only option I have is to push the 'Close Program' button.  I have been putting up with this but now I cannot do a backup due to this problem.

Hi, I've just noticed that you too were having problems with elements 11, do you have RoboForm running also on your pc? if yes, try switching it off and see how you go! if it now works close elements, go to RoboForm\options\application integration\ then add Photoshop elements application to the list. Elements and RoboForm clash for some reason. Hope this helps

  • "yahoosync has stopped working" error message

Over the past few weeks I keep getting a "yahoosync has stopped working" error message from iTunes when I try to sync my contacts with yahoo, before this it had worked fine.
I'm not sure why this is happening but I think it started when I updated my vista to service pack 2.
I have tried to repair the iTunes installation but that still has not worked, i am desperate to sync my contacts with my yahoo account again.
Im thinking of maybe un-installing iTunes then reinstalling... BUT am I going to lose all my iphones settings and apps stored on the computer then?

In my experience (others, please correct me if I'm wrong), uninstalling and re-installing iTunes does not result in any loss of 'Library' (which is where all of the other data is held).
If you're worried, backup the 'Library' (folder) before you uninstall.
    You should be ok!

  • Windows keeps giving me "itunes has stopped working" error message when I start itunes?  How can i fix this?

After downloading the newest version, 10.6.1, whenever I open itunes I almost immediately get a "itunes has stopped working" error messsage, in which the only option is to hit the "close the program" button.  Simply closing the error message closes the program as well.  I am operated under windows XP with the latest updates (or so the updater tells me).  It seems like its getting stuck trying to send me a new user agreement because dont you have to agree to one for every new update?  It just can't seem to get past that point.  I tried opening it up in safe mode but that didnt work either.  Any help would be greatly appeciated.

Looks like itunes was still trying to communicate with my iphone and got confused when it couldnt find it.    Found this in another post and it worked great.
    Solution:
Make sure you are not connected to the internet and then open itunes. Sync your phone and then enable the internet again. Then stay connected to the internet and close your itunes and reopen it. Bam problem solved.

  • Windows has stopped working error message with new iPad2

Can some one please help me. I have the latest iTunes software 10.4 which has been working fine up to today when i tried to get my iPad2 up and running. I have also updated my iPad to the latest software as well. When syncing either books or photos, the program will work for some time anywhere between 50 & 150 books or 300 & 450 photos and then I get the error message that iTunes has stopped working and windows has shut it down. I am running win7 64bit with 6gig RAM on a HP DV7 laptop.

How much storage space do you have available on your iPad 2? if could by running out of space.  Also try restarting your iPad 2 by holding down the on/off and home buttons at the same time until you see the Apple logo.
