WINDOWS FILE REPOSITRY MOUNT FAILING

Hi All
We have a windows file repositry connected to the portal.Since from few days the repositry is not showing in the portal.I am getting an error saying Invalid Item ID.I checked with network paths and the root directory path, every thing seems to be fine.
I checked in the the component monitor and i found out that the mounting is not happening. So Can anyone let me know due to what reasons the mounting is failing.
It is working fine with devlopment and quality but its failing only for production.I checked for all the entries in all the three servers and all have the same entries. Can any please let me know the reason causing this.
Thanks
Hussain.

Hi,
It was the change in the file repositry path which was causing the problem.I have changed the file repositry path and it's working fine.

  • Downloading  dmg  file and  Mounting Failed ??

    hi,
i might have messed up with the files on my ibook.
i somehow deleted previous users account and created mine As Admin. ..... however deleted user account is in deleted user folder as dmg file.
now when i log in my account as admin and download something > then Disk copier helper opens > then installation >> and finally Message comes .. Mounting Failed ( error 95 ).
this happened when i tried to download and install dmg file from internt
it also says that there is no file folder to handle this file
How can i fix mounting problem on my User Account as Admin.
    thanks

I'm on the same boat. I called Apple Support. They made me clean cache, create a new user, yada yada yada. Nothing helped. Last resort was to re-install OSX Snow 10.6.2
I did so, doing an ERASE then moving files/programs back from Time Machine. Right after OS was just installed, I was able to download anything. After I did an upgrade to the latest combo patch to 10.6.2 I was back in "no download land"
I have Google Chrome (no dice), FireFox (no dice)....
Help! I don't want to have to re-install everything again!

  • Portal on Unix cannot mount Windows File server

    Hi Experts,
We had installed a NW 7.0 portal onto HP-UNIX server and integrated it with MS AD server. Now, we are facing an issue that we cannot mount windows files server when we tried to configured it with TREX. Had anyone tried this function or it is the limitation? Is the following statement still correct or do we have workaround solutions?
"If you are using the Microsoft Active Directory Service, you can only integrate documents into a Windows portal. The combination of Microsoft Active Directory Service and a UNIX portal is not supported."
    Best Regards

    Hi Tom,
have a look at this link:
Your issue should work, but the prerequisite is for using the windows permissions:
"If you are using Microsoft Active Directory Service, you have to operate the Windows domain in mixed mode". If it is running in Native mode you cannot use the windows permissions. Nevertheless integrating documents into KM should work. The KM uses its own permissions instead.
    Best regards,
    Denis

    Hello k877
I am sorry to hear you are having issues reinstalling your operating system. I am providing you with a link here to a document titled Recovery Disk Creation Error Codes (Windows 7). Now document is for creating the recovery disks but the error is showing up in your error log (0xe0ef002f). The error according to the document is the File/directory does not exist. It looks like a function call Deploy() is attempting to access this File/directory and is unable to.
This leads me to think that it is the disks that you are using. It would stand to reason anyways as you state you have tried this on multiple hard drives. A good test would be to check to see if your error in the error log is the same every time. If it is happening at the same point each time then simply order a new set of discs from here.
I hope this resolves your installation issue. Thank you for posting your question on the HP Forums. Have a great day!

On Start up I am getting a Mount failed window pop up with options to try again, ignore, and details. I have copied the details to a note. I am new to Mac, and this is a late 2012 mac mini 2.3, with 4 gb mem, 1 tb HD. ( I have nothing pluged in to any ports except hdmi for monitor.)Please help.

  • Smbclient works but mount fails in Finder and Terminal (VPN) - why?

I have a Windows(2003SP2) file server within some LAN with IP 192.168.10.10 and with shared folder structure like
    /Sity/District/
I am authorised to connect to this LAN over VPN (it works) and to connect to /Sity, but I am authorized only to see and modify files within /District folder.
    With the command
    'smbclient -U username //192.168.10.10/Sity'
in Terminal I can connect to the server and e.g. cd to District or get all the files from /Sity/District/. However, neither mount_smbfs in Terminal nor Connect to Server in Finder can mount the share - error is
mount_smbfs: negotiate phase failed: syserr = Connection refused,
I also tried different options for mount_smbfs like '-I' with no result.
Finder 'Connect to server' complain about the username and the password.
'could not connect to the server because the name or password is not correct'
The /etc/nsmb.conf has the following structure
    [default]
    minauth=none
Is there a way to mount such share?

'VPN for pizza money' - it would be great, but I am afraid the /City/District is administrated on / level, which be a Country in this terminology.
'Ask him to look at your settings' - When I asked what settings should be he sent me the screen shots of his settings. So in fact I know as much as he does. He uses Windows, and Win2Win mount works on the LAN. NOTE AGAIN - smbclient works when I connet via VPN, so I have no rights to complain to the admin. Could it be that ether Finder or OS X does not understand that the only thing I can do with /City folder is to 'cd District'?
'mac's IP address...192.168.1...something' - yes, when connected via VPN I can either get automatically 192.168.100.something IP or select manually (works too, I took 192.168.200.something).
'SystemPreferences>Network. Click on the dot-in-the-list labeled VPN' - yes, ther is place for DNS. It works fine. I just think it is Network panel, network interface properties. Other network interfaces are Ethernet and AirPort, also with DNS settings on there own. No place for configurations in Internet Connect - VPN(PPTP) - Edit Configurations ...
'SMB/CIFS configuration in your mac's DirectoryAccess' - settings are correct - WORKGROUP and blank for WINS. It asked me for the WORKGROUP/User/Password on first attempt to mount smb from Finder 'Connect to Server'. However, it never asked again.

  • OsIntegration.mount() failed error

I'm receiving an "osIntegration.mount() failed" error (see below) when trying to connect using my custom handler in Drive. This error only happens on the Mac.  Connection to the same CMS through Windows 7 works perfectly.  The error seems to be related to the URL entered in Drive.  For example, if I enter
          icms://mobiledemo.flatironssolutions.com:8443/icmsserver/repo
I get the error.  However, if I enter
         icms://mobiledemo:8443/icmsserver/repo
it works.  So at first, it appears to be related to entering a fully qualified host name.  However, I have also see it fail on a different host without a fully qualified name (e.g, icms://mtcdmtl601:8080/icmsserver/gpp_dev_repo01).  It is consistent in that if a URL works, it will always work; if it fails, it will always fail.
Here's the error from the log file:

The validation result is that the signature is invalid. The following is abstracted from XMLSignatureValidator - Adobe ActionScript® 3 (AS3 ) API Reference. It would be helpful for you to understand the validation result.
    About signature status:
The validity of an XML signature can be valid, invalid, or unknown. The overall status depends on the verification status of the individual components of the signature file:
digestStatus — The validity of the cryptographic of the signature computed over the SignedInfo element. Can be valid, invalid, or unknown.
identityStatus — The validity of the signing certificate. If the certificate has expired, has been revoked, or altered, the status is invalid. If the certificate cannot be chained to a trusted root certificate, the status is unknown. The certificate is not checked if the digest is invalid. If not checked, the status will be reported as unknown.
referencesStatus — The validity of the data addressed by the references in the SignedInfo element of the signature file. Can be valid, invalid, or unknown. The references are not checked if the digest or certificate is invalid. Reference checking can also be skipped based on the setting of the referencesValidationSetting property. If not checked, the status will be reported as unknown.
The signature validity reported by the validityStatus property can be:
valid — If referencesStatus, digestStatus, and identityStatus are all valid.
invalid — If any individual status is invalid.
unknown — If referencesStatus,  digestStatus, or identityStatus is unknown.

  • Windows 8 Upgrade Assistant failed on Satellite P775

I tried running the Windows 8 Upgrade Assistant on my Satellite P775.
    It started by displaying
Checking Components; download Windows 8 Components data.
    Reading Components.
Got component TOSHIBA Wireless LAN Indicator
    ... etc ...
Got Component TOSHIBA Contrasena de supervisor
    Reading Windows Components.
    then displayed a Message Box
"Failed to read Target (Windows 8) INI file."
    How can I solve this?
    Thanks

    Thanks for the reply.
    Yes I followed that procedure.
My model is Satellite P775-112 PSBY3E and is listed as being compatible
After installing Windows 8, I noticed that the DVD drive was no longer accessible, as described in the following thread: http://forums.computers.toshiba-europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=68222&tstart=0
So I disabled the Windows Service "Toshiba Optical Disc Drive Service" (TODDSrv.exe 1.0.0.8), and the DVD drive is now visible. However Toshiba Video Player still does not work (says it has compatibility issues) and I can not view DVD videos.
I then ran the Windows 8 Upgrade Assistant, which failed immediately with the error "Failed to read Target (Windows 8) INI file".
I found some posts on the forum with a similar error with the Windows 7 Upgrade Assistant (Failed to read Target (Windows 7) INI file. None of the posts has a clear description of what this error means but I've tried all of the suggestions.
    Here's a list of what I've tried:
    - Rebooted
    - Upgraded BIOS to latest version (2.10)
    - Run Upgrade Assistant as Administrator
    - Run Upgrade Assistant with "Toshiba Optical DIsc Drive Service TODDSrv.exe 1.0.0.8 started or stopped.
My main problems at the moment are:
    - Toshiba Optical DIsc Drive Service causes DVD drive to disappear
    - Toshiba Video Player won't run
    - No way to view DVDs
I'd be happy to install the drivers and applications individually if the Upgrade Assistant doesn't work - is there anywhere I can download them?

  • Can anyone answer why in logic pro X I keep getting a window popping up that says Directory not found, result code= -120, followed by another window saying, Fade update failed, (error -120)?

Can anyone answer, why in Logic Pro X I keep on getting a window popping up saying, Directory not found, result code = -120. Followed by another window saying, Fade update failed, (error -120)?
I am running the latest version 10.0.5 through a Macbook Pro that has just been upgraded to 16GB Ram and a 960GB SSD which has made it as fast as ****. I upgraded because I was experiencing problems before and it was suggested that I didn't have enough Ram?
I am using a Focusrite scarlett 2i4 and an Alesis Q61 midi controller. Weirdly, just trying to put a bass line down on a track using the Alesis, the bass sound goes out of tune with the track during recording only. This is very frustrating! I surely can't be the only one experiencing this?
    Many thanks
    Rob.

    Hi
Time lost could be a problem, but.....
Sadly, I don't think that there are any Apple docs relating to networked storgae issues with Logic. Other than a 'school' or 'business' setup, NAS/OD/AD setups are not usual circumstances for audio.
If the issue is one of data backup & security, it may be enough to automatically backup the students local work folders to the NAS.
If the issue is one of the Users being able to work from any Mac and pick up their files from the server, you are not likely to resolve this problem, without copying the files to the Local Mac.

  • Windows File Sharing behaving differently on 10.4.5 ( iMac vs. Mini Intel)

I have and iMac and a Mini Mac Intel Duo configured the same:
jdoe/password/workgroup ( bot Macs have a user name jdoe)
    personal file sharing started
windows file sharing started with jdoe account enabled
From the PC I ping both Macs to check network connectivity.
From the PC command line I use the following command:
    net use i: \\imac\jdoe\Public password /USER:workgroup\jdoe /persistent:no ( works fine )
    net use m: \\minimac\jdoe\Public password /USER:workgroup\jdoe /persistent:no ( logon fails )
The SMB connection to the iMac always succeed but the Mini Mac fails. Checking the Ethernet trace, I see that as expected Windows sends out SMB/CIFS packets on port 445 but the iMac does not replay so Windows try SMB/CIFS packets on port 139 (netbios) and gets a reply.
However when attempting to connect to the MiniMac, the MiniMac responds to the first packet on port 445;Hence, WinXP does not attempt port 139.. the negotiation is performed over port 445, but fails authentication.
A few things bug me about this: Why does one Mac respond to port 445 and the other on 139? Why does the failed negotiation on port 445 seems to progress until the NTLM challenge authentication failure? Is there a password issue between the two Macs? Both are running 10.4.5 out of the box, with no extra software!
Mini Mac Intel Duo & iMac G5 Mac OS X (10.4.5)

More notes... If I enable firewall on the MiniMac and allow Windows File Sharing, the Mini Mac only responds on port 139 Not port 445. Good, this is the same as the iMac default behavior, however, the login still fails.

  • Despite my best efforts, I am unable to remove iTunes 11.1.4 from my PC, this being made necessary because the original installation had a flaw and did not load properly. Effor to use the control panel, deleting dll. files, etc. all failed. iTune out??

Despite my best efforts, I am unable to remove iTunes 11.1.4 from my PC, this being made necessary because the original installation had a flaw and did not load properly. Effor to use the control panel, deleting dll. files, etc. all failed. And, of course, on startup, a window opens with the error and tells me find QTMovie.dll and delete it because this may be the source of the hangup. Also, in trying to delete iTunes, I get the additional message that I must get approval from the System Administrator to take this action. I am the System Administrator.
    Any ideas would be welcomed.
    Thank you.
