After reading all these posts, one by one did not resolve my problem until I got the very end. Regardless of what step would resolve your problem, these are the steps I would recomment to everyone for a what seems to be a safe and fool-proof upgrade to iTunes 10.5.
1. Stand alone upgrade to the latest Quicktime version
2. Go to control panel and "change" then select repair to the following applications in the order specified by the post on Oct 27. (Notice I skipped Quicktime because it had been upgrade manually,and Bonjour did not have a "repair" option)
iTunes; Apple Software Update: Mobile Device Support; Apple Applications Support
Some of these applications may not appear if they do not apply to your configuration (no iPhone, or no iPad, or other apple devices).
Once all updated, I did not need to restart nor launch any applications, I simply went straight into the 10.5 upgrade, and where it normally got stuck, this time the installation continued for a while longer until it completed successfully.

Thank you for your kind consideration of my problem. Up until the software started to print blank pages the preview pane always showed the selected print within the selected layout. Something has changed. Lightroom will print to the JPEG file but only a blank page on the Epson 2880. I've been in contact with Epson support and an IT tech and they tell me the problem is with Lightroom. I'm at my wits end and thinking of upgrading but the glitch may carry over. Uninstalling and reinstalling and deleting the preferences file did nothing to rectify the situation.

Hi,
In order to assist you, we will need the .DMP files to analyze what exactly occurred at the time of the crash, etc.
If you don't know where .DMP files are located, here's how to get to them:
1. Navigate to the %systemroot%\Minidump folder.
2. Copy any and all DMP files in the Minidump folder to your Desktop and then zip up these files.
3. Upload the zip containing the .DMP files to Onedrive or a hosting site of your choice and paste in your reply. Preferred sites: Onedrive, Mediafire, Dropbox, etc. Nothing with wait-timers, download managers, etc.
4 (optional): The type of .DMP files located in the Minidump folder are known as Small Memory Dumps. In %systemroot% there will be what is known as a Kernel-Dump (if your system is set to generate). It is labeled MEMORY.DMP. The difference
between Small Memory Dumps and Kernel-Dumps in the simplest definition is a Kernel-Dump contains
much more information at the time of the crash, therefore allowing further debugging of your issue. If your upload speed permits it, and you aren't going against any strict bandwidth and/or usage caps, etc, the Kernel-Dump is the best
choice. Do note that Kernel-Dumps are much larger in size due to containing much more info, which is why I mentioned upload speed, etc.
If you are going to use Onedrive but don't know how to upload to it, please visit the following:

After doing that, to learn how to share the link to the file if you are unaware, please visit the following link -
Share files and folders and change permissions and view 'Get a link'.
Please note that any "cleaner" programs such as TuneUpUtilities, CCleaner, etc, by default will delete .DMP files upon use. With this said, if you've run such software, you will need to allow the system to crash once again to generate a crash dump.
If your computer is not generating .DMP files, please do the following:
1. Start > type %systemroot% which should show the Windows folder, click on it. Once inside that folder, ensure there is a Minidump folder created. If not, CTRL-SHIFT-N to make a New Folder and name it Minidump.
2. Windows key + Pause key. This should bring up System. Click Advanced System Settings on the left > Advanced > Performance > Settings > Advanced > Ensure there's a check-mark for 'Automatically manage paging file size for all
drives'.
3. Windows key + Pause key. This should bring up System. Click Advanced System Settings on the left > Advanced > Startup and Recovery > Settings > System Failure > ensure there is a check mark next to 'Write an event to the system
log'.
Ensure Small Memory Dump is selected and ensure the path is %systemroot%\Minidump.
4. Double check that the WERS is ENABLED:
Start > Search > type services.msc > Under the name tab, find Windows Error Reporting Service > If the status of the service is not Started then right click it and select Start. Also ensure that under Startup Type it is set to Automatic rather than
Manual. You can do this by right clicking it, selecting properties, and under General selecting startup type to 'Automatic', and then click Apply.
If you cannot get into normal mode to do any of this, please do this via Safe Mode.

IPod 60 Photo - Windows XP - iTunes ****! Need Help!

I use a compaq presario 3017cl and every time i connect my ipod the updater says that it needs to be restored. Sick up having to restore and udate 16gigs of music just to add one song.
On my third iPod Photo 60gig, have logged countless hours with tech support trying to find a solution but still no answer. I've tried every suggestion, every board, every tech bulletin, just about everything anyone can think of. Please help i'm in iPod ****.
I've read somewhere on this board that some people been having problems with SiS USB chipsets. Has this been verified can you please comment if you have had the same problem.
Can anyone help, does anyone have any ideas?

I have already tried. And in a last ditch effort out of utter fustration, and to eliminate all possible software conflicts, i finally decided to reformat my harddrive. I currently have ONLY windows xp sp2 with all posible updates installed and as far as software the ONLY thing installed is itunes and ipod updater. It's as clean as it can be......

I just reformatted my Windows XP computer and need help transfering everthing from my iPad and iPhone back into iTunes

I recently had to format my Windows XP Pro computer and need to transfer all the iTunes information from my iPad1 and iPhone4 back to my PC. I could use some help, everytime I try it it says it will delete everything on my iPhone/Pad and reload everything from the new iTunes (now only 54 songs instead of the 342 that I have on my iPhone right now.)

You have a backup of your computer, or at the very least of your iTunes media, correct?
Simply copy your backup of your iTunes media into the iTunes library on your new computer.
Connecting and syncing your device to the new computer without first recovering your iTunes media is a really, really, really bad idea. iDevices are designed to ONLY sync with one computer. When you plug your device into a new computer, it will wipe all media on the device when it syncs. The only media you may be able to salvage and transfer to the new computer would be anything bought directly on the device.
If you do not have a backup of your iTunes media, then you will want to look at a way (using software from a third party company) to extract the media from you iDevice.

One iCloud account has one user name (a .mac or .me email name) and password. If you have set up multiple accounts in the past then you must choose one and stay with it. If you don't know the user name, then you have a problem. If you haven't really begun using iCloud (but you mention trying to get mail, so I'm assuming you have used iCloud before), then use a .mac or .me account you know you have or just sign up for a new account - and be sure to write down the name and password for future use.
If you want to use the account to sync your contacts, email, calendars, etc, then each of your ios devices need to use the same account, otherwise they will be independent of one another.

Can't download or open a fillable pdf with Windows 8.1 - desperately need help!

My son is working on a Boy Scout Eagle project. He recently got a computer with Windows 8.1. I also have Windows 8.1 on my computer. Neither of us are able to open the Eagle service project workbook fillable pdf form he already started and emailed to himself from his old computer or to download a new form from the BSA website. Have you tried opening the PDF directly from Adobe Reader? Windows 8.1 included Microsoft Reader, which is far less capable than Adobe Reader, and can't work with XFA-based PDF forms like the one you're trying to use.

I am trying to install the cd software and computer is giving me an error on the download. SP4 2000 or XP needed. Is this true? Do I need to change my system in order to use an Ipod?

You can't use iTunes or the iPod Updater utility unless you upgrade your operating system.
There are some third-party alternatives to iTunes, such as XPlay2, which supposedly runs on Windows ME.
Using this software isn't supported by Apple, or these forums. It would be a use at your own risk type of thing.
Upgrading your operating system will offer the best solution to your problem.
If you choose not to, then you are forced to use alternative software which may degrade your user experience with the iPod. You wouldn't have access to the iTunes Music Store to purchase music or videos without using iTunes.

Mac + Windows + HTML + iWeb = I need help

Here's what I want to accomplish. I'm really thinking it's not possible but if someone could let me know.
I am in charge of our church website. For years the main website has been done with a windows computer and html code and all. Recently I have used .mac to do the youth section. They had a few links on the main to my pages made with .mac.
Here's my question... Can I somehow use the domain name option in iweb to transfer my iweb pages to our church's secondary pages to keep all the info on one website? To put it simply, the main page of www.secondcapemaybaptist.com would be run with windows and html code, but www.secondcapemaybaptist.com/youth_groups be published using .mac.
My other thought would be to copy the html code that iweb produces and paste that onto the windows computer that runs our site, but that seems time consuming. So if anyone can think of a fast way to do that or help me out with the other question I would appreciate it.

Create a separate sub site called "Youth_Groups". Build your own navigation and, in it, include a link back to the main site.
Publish this to a folder on your desktop, rename the index.html to Youth_Groups.html and then upload both to the server.

Problems reinstalling...Windows 7...Need help

I have problems after I updated my flash player. I've done everything the guide said to do in Installation Problems; The last thing was to uninstall it and reinstall. While now I can't install the Flash Player at all. It keeps error out. Now I'm really stuck and need someones help. HELP PLEASE !

Mouse Jittering on Windows 8.1. Need Help

I built a gaming PC a little under a year ago.
CPU: AMD FX 8350(4.0GhZ)
GPU: Radeon HD 7850
OS: Windows 8.1
Recently, my mouse began acting up, jittering at high DPIs. The mouse is a Logitech G700s. I figured it was simply the mouse. Having switched the mouse over to a different computer, i found it ran smoothly there. As well as switching OS to Windows 7 on a
laptop, and following up with a Mac OS.
I have found no solutions other than a patch released to stop this for windows 8, however upon applying it, it persists.
I have tried connecting several mice, switching USB ports, switching between wired and wireless, disconnecting all other UIs, and the problem persists.
Any ideas on a fix?

Cant run Adobe Premiere Pro 2.0 on windows 8.1. Need help.

I recently discovered that CS2 items were free, so I wanted to get a piece of that pie. Considering that I don't have a movie editing application on this new computer, I wanted to switch to something complex. When I download the installer from the page and installed it, nothing out of the ordinary happened until I tried to start it. It popped up with the splash screen, and then immediately crashed in a literal split second. I opened my task to see if it was running in the back, and it was not. Now i'm starting to notice that Adobe Premiere Pro 2.0 isn't compatible with win8.1, even if I set compatibility to Windows XP service pack 3. This is so frustrating. Is there a patch or something i can use to fix this issue?

Running windows on a mac- NEED HELP

I recently purchased a mac book that runs windows. i installed everything i had to, got the windows side to work.. etc. however, after about a week, the black message screen appeared saying that my computer was not starting up correctly, how would i like to proceed? you could click safe mode or use the same settings as before.. however, i have tried both of those and after about three minutes, the computer freezes, then reboots itself on the mac side. has this happened to anyone else, and does anyone kow how to fix it? thanks-

you have an ibook? well a similar problem has been faced by people with 24" imacs...
i dont know how to fix the particular problem, bu you could simply reformat that partition adn reinstall windows...as for the data, back it up through mac os x first.
