Windows Installer failure during download of iTunes 10.5. Why is this happening?

I'm trying to update to the newest version of iTunes, and I get all the way through the process until the very end. I then get a message "There is a problem with this Windows Installer package. A Program run as part of the setup did not finish as expected. Contact your support personnel or package vendor." I checked to be sure I an up to date with all of my Microsoft updates, so I don't think that is the problem. Tried to download a couple of times, and keep getting this message. Not very tech-minded, so maybe I'm skipping an important step, but I have loaded newer versions in the past with no problem. Help, please!

Go to 'Apple Software Update' in Add or Remove Programs icon in your Control Panel. Select Change, then Repair. Then rerun the iTunes installation.

Recently purchased the creative cloud membership for students, but all the applications I download run as trials? why is this happening?

I recently purchased the creative cloud student license for one year. After installing the desktop CC app, and downloading the CC 2014 softwares, they open up and require licensing / can be run only as trials. Why is this happening and how can I get the full softwares?

I have uninstalled iTunes several times and reinstalled it on my PC running Window 7 with all updated loaded. When I click on the iTunes Store Box, Nothing happens except for a message that reads:
          iTunes has stopped working.
The following items give me a choice, but no answer comes up. The computer will shut down the website.
          "Check online for a solution and close the program"
          "Close the program."
There is an item below the box that is selectable for View problem details. When clicked a long list of items show up. I have listed some of the problems as written, but I do not understand them. I know the iTunes Store has been available on earlier versions of of iTunes but is not on this version. How can we go back and download an earlier version of iTunes?
     Here are some of the Problem Details:
     "Problem signature: APPCRASH
     Application Name:     iTunes.exe
     Application Version: 11.0.1.12
     Application Timestamp: 50c8fc7e"

I had this exact same problem. I found this fix and it worked for me.
Step 1:
Browse to C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support and copy the filen named QTMovieWin.dll.
Step 2:
Browse and past that file into C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes.
Hope this helps you. I wish I could remember where I saw this originally so I could thank them.

The songs that i didnt buy off of itunes wont download onto my phone. Why is this happening?

After i downloded the IOS7 i no longer could put the music i have downloaded off CD's and such onto my iphone. i was wondering how i could fix this so that i could get the rest of my music onto my phone.

What do other people do? (I can't go to sleep knowing there's a rogue album or song in my music. It's 2am now)
What do we tell apple so that they actually fix it. None of us want to pay £25 to have our own music.

I am on the monthly payment plan because nobody at BT has told me there is any alternative!
Each year there I have a long, in-depth conversation with the person who sets up the contract for the next year but the gist of the thing is 'I'm not going to be paying more than [x amount] per month, am I? Because I can't afford any more'' and each year the person says that no, in fact I should be paying less... and then without notice and even with the bill saying 'We will continue to take....' a totally different - and higher - sum disappears from my bank account.
Then I go through the painful process of writing to complain about this, get some sort of sum refunded and then the payments go through at the level they should, with me paying any additional (usually small) amounts for usage over the allowance. Until contract end when we start all over again...
Even if the amount they seem to randomly decide on is based on some sort of forecast, this should not be happening as I am doing what they instruct me to do on the bill to keep my payments the same.
So something is going wrong, on many levels.
At no point have I been offered the sort of 'monthly billing' described here; maybe there is some reason I am not allowed it. Unfortunately 'whole bill' direct debit payment is beyond me. I really need to know what I will be paying each month and I need BT to correctly take that amount, as agreed, each month, from the get-go.
It shouldn't be that hard really! Does anyone from BT read these forums? Can somebody take this on and finally get this straight, please?

When it asks you to sign in please enter the Adobe ID related to your Creative Cloud membership. This will work for all applications except Acrobat. For Acrobat you will need to first run another one of the Creative applications using your Creative Cloud Adobe ID after Acrobat is installed. It should then remove the trial restrictions.

If your old version of iTunes is still working - then I sugest you stick with that.
iTunes 11 is a lousy update - It will not retain your playlists, you can't find and delete duplicates... and a whole arry of oyher issues. (have a look around this forum to see how many issues IT11 gives people)

That one is often associated with trouble with your Apple Software Update.
Is your Apple Software Update currently launching on the PC?

Thanks for the question. If I understand correctly, iTunes isn't working when you try to launch it. I would recommend that you read this article, it may be able to help you isolate or resolve the issue.

Close "iPhoto" if it is open. Open the "Pictures" folder and right-click on "iPhoto Library." Select "Show Package Contents." Right-click the "iPod Photo Cache" folder, select "Move to Trash" and sync your iPhone. The error message should no longer appear.

When playing a video I have downloaded from iTunes I get the message "This Movie Cannot be played on this machine"

The weird thing is that I downloaded the film from iTunes and while it was downloading I was watching it with my kids on my IMac. Once it had finished downloading I went with them to the living room Tao carry on watching on our apple tv. The apple TV wouldn't play it and said I needed to authorise my Pc, then the IMac gave the message above and I haven't been able to play it since. All my other downloaded films play. I am running iTunes version 10.2.2. And my iMac is Running Snow Leopard OS 10.6.7. Anyone who can shed some light on this weird situation will have my upmost thanks

I have the same problem. Been trying to find some answers, but not a lot of info about this. It seems to happen only when:
- itunes library is stored remote (NAS or external HD)
- starting a movie/show before download has finished will make it fail next time you try to start
Hope this gets fixed soon.. it's making purchasing content via itunes a hassle
