Windows kicks me out

I'm trying to import a cd using itunes but windows keeps coming up with "itunes has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available" Can anyone please help me? Thanks

I'm trying to import a cd using itunes but windows keeps coming up with "itunes has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly.
Is that using an iTunes 10.1.0.54, TJ? If so, are your problem reports for the iTunes error (in your Action Center, you should find them in the Problem History) citing CoreAudioToolbox version 7.9.4.0?
If you're importing using the AAC encoding, there's a bug with 10.1.0.54 that is causing "iTunes has stopped working messages" (citing CoreAudioToolbox.dll in the Problem Reports for the error) for some folks.
Short of rolling back your iTunes to 10.0.1.22 and your Apple Application Support to 1.3.2 (CoreAudioToolbox.dll is kept in the Apple Application Support program files), there's a few possible workarounds.
(1) Change your importing prefs to use a different encoding.
(2) Replace your CoreAudioToolbox.dll version 7.9.4.0 with a 7.9.3.0 as per:
http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=12576816#12576816
(3) Or, replace your CoreAudioToolbox.dll version 7.9.4.0 with a 7.9.3.0 as per:

  • HT4623 I just updated to 8.02 and now my iPad randomly opens apps, new windows, kicks me out of wifi and the screen "jumps" constantly.  Is anyone else having these problems?  How can I fix it?

    Update issues with iOS 8.02

the apple store replaced my ipad4 that experienced similar misbehavior ... the replacement now works well.
but before the replacement, they had me completely RESTORE the ipad to factory, which will put it into ios 8.0.2.
(remember to logout of icloud and turn off 'find my phone' first)
then rebuild by downloading your apps and NOT using your backups.
if the ipad continues to misbehave then most likely it's a hardware issue.

  • Mac Mini kicking me out of the window I'm working in

I had the same problem more than a year ago, and someone here helped me fix it. I tried the same solution (running Yasu and making sure the prebinding option is selected), but this time it didn't work. I should mention that the problem started again immediately after I ran several MacOS updates (new version of iTunes, Safari, etc.) This is what's happening:
The computer continually wants to go to the Finder. It is not a mouse issue, because the computer changes back and forth between windows when I'm not even touching it.
For example, while I was typing this, it preceded this window by the Finder, so I had to click back onto this window in order to keep typing. (It doesn't close the window I'm in, just brings the other to the forefront).
Sometimes it kicks me out of programs also, although the program doesn't crash. The window just closes and I have to reopen it. This is the most problematic when I'm trying to burn a CD, because it kicks me out of the burning window, and I'm unable to find it again and complete the process.
I don't understand why Yasu worked last time but didn't this time. If anyone has any suggestions, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks!

    Welcome to Apple Discussions!
The first thing that springs to mind from your description is prebinding. Prebinding is the linking between MacOS and applications to their library files, and while it's rare, it can get disrupted and leave the system behaving in this way.
The quickest and most painless way to update it (thus fixing the problem if it is caused by this) is to download a copy of YASU from http://jimmitchell.org/projects/yasu/ and set it to the prebinding task. Actually you can safely set it to all the tasks since from time to time trimming log files and clearing system caches is no bad thing. Once complete, the system should reboot (slowly).
If the problem persists after that, it would be helpful to know if you have installed anything on the system prior to this behavior starting, including any MacOS updates or utilities, and whether you have noted any other inconsistent behavior on your system recently.

  • Kicks me out!

    Hi everyone,
Just wondered if anyone else is having this problem, or anyone know what i should do
Since the most recent update I am now unable to
    a) Listen to my ipod on my iphone, it infact kicks me out of it as soon as I go in - I cant play tracks (itunes is fine to access)
    b) Presuming this is a facebook app issue not due to the update but now it doesnt show me my notifications unless I constantly have to "load" freezes, kicks me out
    c) Its slow, e.g. its seems there is effort for the icons to "come together" when its on your main page
    d) To be able to use other apps at the same time sort of worries me, as i now do not know whether they are still open, therefore using up more battery, thinking im still online etc etc (maybe thats a blonde thing to say)
Either way since the new update, I am starting to hate my phone, which is rare as it is an extention of my arm but not being able to listen to my ipod has been the final straw. Please can anyone help me on this matter (note: have "turned it on and off" & slightly reluctant to set it back to factory settings)
    Thanks

    +Resetting iPhone+
+Reset all settings: Choose General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.+
+All your preferences and settings are reset. Information, such as your contacts and calendars, and media, such as your songs and videos, aren’t deleted.+
+Erase all content and settings: Connect iPhone to your computer or a power adapter. Choose General > Reset and tap “Erase All Content and Settings.”+
+This resets all settings to their defaults and erases all your information and media:+
+• On iPhone 3GS: by removing the encryption key to the data (which is encrypted using 256-bit AES encryption)+
+• On iPhone and iPhone 3G: by overwriting the data+
+Important: You can’t use iPhone while data is being overwritten. This can take up to two hours or more, depending on the model and storage capacity of your iPhone.+
+(On iPhone 3GS, the removal of the encryption key is immediate.)+
+Reset network settings: Choose General > Reset and tap Reset Network Settings.+
+When you reset network settings, your list of previously used networks and VPN settings not installed by a configuration profile are removed. Wi-Fi is turned off and then back on, disconnecting you from any network you’re on. The Wi-Fi and “Ask to Join Networks” settings are left turned on.+
+To remove VPN settings installed by a configuration profile, choose Settings > General > Profile, then select the profile and tap Remove.+
+Reset the keyboard dictionary: Choose General > Reset and tap Reset Keyboard Dictionary.+
+You add words to the keyboard dictionary by rejecting words iPhone suggests as you type. Tap a word to reject the correction and add the word to the keyboard dictionary. Resetting the keyboard dictionary erases all words you’ve added.+
+Reset the Home screen layout: Choose General > Reset and tap Reset Home Screen Layout.+
+Reset the location warnings: Choose General > Reset and tap Reset Location Warnings.+
So you need to be careful about resetting settings if you don't have them synced somewhere else and again, it also depends on where the corruption has come from.
What is your setup where you are, Windows or Mac? Which iOS are you using? Mail, contacts, calendars, how do you sync these? What about photos?

  • The pressing the Shift key to make a capital letter kicks me out of gmail or reloads the current web page

I'm suddenly getting some strange behavior on my Windows 7 PC. (I can hear all you Linux users formulating witty retorts...don't do it! :-). When I'm composing an email in Gmail and press the Shift key to get caps, it kicks me out of the composition page. And nothing is saved in drafts either. Internet Explorer doesn't have this issue. The Shift key works normally. Also, If I try to paste using Ctrl+V it make the webpage text shrink. I was trying to log this issue on the computer with the problem but I couldn't login because of the caps and the paste issue.
I just discovered another quirk: If I press the Ctrl key without the +V it still shrinks the text.

    Hi Matt,
Thanks for the suggestion, but there's no option to uninstall a driver. It's a MS Ergonomic 4000 keyboard and it just shows up as an HID compliant device. I tried uninstalling the Microsoft Mouse & Keyboard Control Center, but that didn't help either.
I've also pressed the keys numerous times (at one point it asked me if I wanted to enable 'Sticky Keys' which I didn't). Rebooted too. Even deleted the user profile, removed the PC from the domain, rejoined it to the domain, logged in as the user, and restored a previously backed up Transfer Wizard profile. And I checked while logged on as the local Admin and got the same weirdness.

Don't switch email providers. Switch to another email client on your Mac. It is not Yahoo. I have 3 Yahoo accounts and never have any problems getting or sending mail from/to those accounts. But I don't use the built in Mac Mail program. I use Thunderbird. I use thunderbird on both Mac OS X and Windows. Been using it for some time now with no problems getting my Yahoo mail, Google gmail mail or form my work email account.

  • ITunes kicking me out during sync on my new iPhone 4.

    Hello All,
Just got an iPhone 4. I'm trying to sync so my songs etc. on my windows laptop will transfer to my phone. I get into iTunes, It starts and then after about song 10 or so, it kicks me out. This has happened about 6 times and I'm really frustrated!! Anyone have any ideas? Thanks.

iMovie isn't one of the included apps on the iPhone 4.  iMovie only works on the iPhone 4, iPad 2, or 4th generation iPod Touch.  It costs $4.99 at the app store.  http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/imovie/id377298193?mt=8
You can see the list of included apps on pages 14-15 of the iPhone iOS4 User Guide
Some of the apps like Compass, Calculator, & Clock are found in a Utilities folder normally found on the first home page.

    2. Swipe the app's windows upwards to close
    3. The app will fly off the screen
    (B) Reset iPad. Hold the Sleep and Home buttons down until you see the Apple Logo

  • Crystal Reports kicks me out with a crw32.exe has encountered a problem ...

I have not been successful in getting Crystal Reports XI Rel 2 to work for me, except for one very simple report that accesses one table and simply prints out all fields.  When I try to link tables and do something more complicated, it kicks me out with a 'crw32.exe has encountered a problems and needs to close error'.
I am running Windows XP Professional Version 2002 SP3 and using the CR Informix ODBC Driver 5.3 to access data from an Informix DB.

I downloaded and was able to write a report off the Access test DB.  So - I went back and connected to Informix, wrote a report that connected 6 tables and now I get a syntax error (it has not kicked me out yet, though!).  I get -201 error with no explanation.  Here is the sql generated by CR:
    SELECT pallet.pallet_id, item.category_id, item.sub_category_id, category.description, sub_category.description, item.quantity, item.std_cost, sub_category.default_recovery_pct, carton.status, pallet.status, location.location
    FROM   arc:informix.category category, arc:informix.sub_category sub_category, arc:informix.item item, arc:informix.carton carton, arc:informix.pallet pallet,  OUTER arc:informix.location location
    WHERE  (category.row_key=sub_category.category_key) AND ((category.category_id=item.category_id) AND (sub_category.sub_category_id=item.sub_category_id)) AND (item.carton_key=carton.row_key) AND (carton.pallet_key=pallet.row_key) AND (pallet.location_key=location.row_key) AND category.description<>'Dump' AND (carton.status='CLOS' OR carton.status='PALT') AND (pallet.status='DOCK' OR pallet.status='PUTA')
    ORDER BY pallet.pallet_id, item.category_id, item.sub_category_id, category.description, sub_category.description
I don't see a problem with it.  Any other suggestions?  Do you think the CR has a problem with a table called 'Item' since that is a reserved word?

  • What causes "Windows Live Sign-out isn't complete-Finish signing out"?

When signing out of email at www.hotmail.com, I get the message “Windows Live Sign-out isn’t complete…Finish signing out” instead of the "signout successful" screen. The message suggests deleting all cookies, which I did. Then I deleted firefox 5 and reinstalled firefox 4.0.1.
Same error occurs with firefox 4.0.1.
The error does not occur when I use MS internet explorer to access hotmail.

    • {Integer} 1: Allow popups, “but limit” them to dom.popup_maximum.
     You Must type in: dom.p = dom.popup_maximum

Why does my IPAD 1, kick me out of a web page/site and return me to my home page?

    Probably a glitch in Safari.
Quit Safari - double tap the Home button to reveal the multi-tasking window at the bottom. Swipe sideqays until you see the Safari icon. Tpa-and-hold until the red circle/hwite bar appears, then tap that to close Safari. You might do that with all the icons to be sure.
Tap the Home button to close multi-tasking.
Restart the device (hold Home and Sleep for around 10 seconds untl the Apple logo appears).
    Fingers crosed, that'll fix it

    Hello and welcome...
Connect your iPad to your computer. In the iTunes window under the Summary tab make sure there is enough storage space.
Since the problem stems from downloading, try resetting your network settings.
Tap Settings / General / Reset / Reset Network Settings
Restart your iPad and try downloading again.

  • SE38 Kick me out.

    Hi Experts,
I'm trying to solve this problem for a while without results. Every time i try to access se38 the system kick me out. I tried to uninstall saplogon, check tcodes related with errors, bugs, permissions, and nothing seems to be wrong. Please Help me.
    Regards,
    Steve.

This is my speculation...because something (?) like that happened on my pc (but with window 7):
my gui suddenly was killed: I mean all sessions were closed without any error message.
Probably a log was written in th log file for window error, but I don't know
I remember this strange behavior happened while saving or activing a program in SE38: I didn't know why, this problem is over just after the last updating of w7.
Probably it happens something like that in his pc
