Windows Lightroom 5.5 ui.dll patch DOESN'T WORK!!

Just as an FYI the patch that was issued for the ui.dll problem http://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom/kb/lightroom-5-crashes-editing-images.html (Not sure when it was released), doesn't work. While the application opens unlike the other patch issued it doesn't display ANY images! THANKS FOR NOTHING!!

I missed important step file extension needs to be renamed to ANYTHING but .dll In my case just moved it to desktop. It must be an issue with the Windows Registry changing the pointer to the old DLL.

Why didn't you start with the information you are providing now, which, even though it is still not complete, at least gives a hint of what your problem is?

LabView 5.0 Eval patch doesn't work

I installed LabView 5.0 some time ago, removed it and reinstalled it tonight.
The first time I tried to run LabView after the install was complete, I was
able to get it to run. Every other time it told me the evaluation period was
up. I then tried to run the LabView 5.0 eval patch that prevents it from
expiring (lv50evalpatch.exe), and the patch told me that LabView.exe was either
a non-evaluation copy, or the patch had already been installed.
I was able to succesfully use the eval patch at work, so I know it works in
principle, but it doesn't work on my computer at home.
I suspect that my original installation of LabView left erroneous information
in the Windows Registry. Does anyone know how to correct this?

The evaluation version may be working properly if you installed it more than 30 days ago. Even with the patch, you shouldn't be using the evaluation version indefinitely. We can discuss the details of your situation via email and figure out what we need to do. You can reach email support by going to http://www.ni.com/ask and selecting "Email NI Engineers".
Your other option (really the better one) is to contact you sales representative. They should be able to get you an evaluation version of LabVIEW 6.0. LabVIEW 6.0 has a lot of new features that would be worth seeing when you are evaluating whether to purchase the product. You can find sales contact information from the following URL:

ADS Patch after EP Patch doesn't work

Hello,
we had an EP6 SP15 with Adobe Document Service. Because of the WebDynpro Error we updated to SP16, also the ADS. But now the Adobe Document Service doesn't work. We get the exception:

How do I reactivate Photoshop. Window says call a number but it doesn't work.

I have used my Photoshop program in a very long time. A window comes up telling me I can reactivate by phone but that doesn't work and I am instructed to go on line, but after going to many sites, I'm back at the beginning with no information on how to reactivate. You have not provided any system information or told us what exact version, but on a hunch I'd say you need to read this:

Lightroom 5.2 radial filter tool doesn't work

I recently purchased Lightroom 5.2 and the radial filter tool doesn't work. Is anyone else having this problem? Is there a fix for this problem. Is there any way to get technical support from Adobe or is this a ridiculous question?

I believe the problem lies with me not knowing how to use the radial filter tool and not the software in this instance. As I mentioned, I just purchased Lightroom software and I'm in the process of learning. Last night, my first instance of a software glitch was with the slideshow view not working. I get a black screen; however, this is the subject for another post. Subsequently, I was struggling with the radial filter and, initially, I thought this was another glitch; which it is not. When I went to the Adobe website looking for technical support, I could not find any place where I could call or send an email for tech support to get a question answered. Instead, Adobe directs customers to this forum where kind people, such as yourself, are willing to help others. At this point, I was very exasperated. Teamspeak window is in background push to talk does not work.
This problem started when i install OSX Mavericks, I already tried to enable "Access For Assistive Devices".. didn´t work.

There have been some reports of iPhone's mail app 'forgetting' to check for new mail, but the phenomenon you see of an already-read email (read on another machine) not getting marked as Read right away on the iPhone is a byproduct of the design of the app. Since it can't hold an open connection all day long, the read status is only updated when you open Mail and it polls the server. The iPhone will also only update the unread count when it either Fetches at your predetermined interval or it receive a Push notification. Neither of these actually update the status of current mail on your system, but merely get the new text and increase the unread count appropriately.
But, as I said above, some people are seeing iPhone behavior where its not checking for new mail at all. This, unfortunately, is a bug that rumor has it is high on Apple's to-do list.

My web.dll file doesn't work under windows 7 or 8 64 bit

i have developed my own dll using C# 2010, in order to use
it under web (IE) i also developed web.dll in order to call my application dll, anyhow i have 2 version of web.dll because i already have 2 version of my software 32, and 64,
anyhow the 32 bit version is working fine after i register (regasm) the web.dll but the 64 version didn't work,
i tried to debug the issue it seems like the link between the web.dll and the browser is not working at all
any help or suggestions would be highly appreciated.

Please post the dll. I cannot run your code without it.
Also, the problem may be that you cannot call this twice, without first 'closing' the device. You may be trying to use resources that are already in use. This would be the same as opening a daq session that is already in use.
Try that, and if you can't get it working still, post the code or some more information.

Staff: Why is there no offline installer for 10.1.5? The patch doesn't work for me.

Hi, I'm trying to update Adobe Reader 10.1.4 on a 32-bit Windows XP SP3 computer to Adobe Reader 10.1.5. The Adobe Reader Updater downloaded the update but it tells me:
"The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable"
It's looking for AdbeRdr1010_en_US.msi in C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Adobe\ARM\Reader_10.0.1\ but it can't find it.
Normally in a situation like this I could just download the offline installer, and as an enterprise user I want to do that anyway. Yet it appears there's no offline installers in ftp://ftp.adobe.com/pub/adobe/reader/win/10.x/10.1.5/ like for example AdbeRdr1015_en_US.exe or AdbeRdr1015_en_US.msi. On Adobe's pages for both enterprise and home users it only offers 10.1.4 as the older version prior to 11, not 10.1.5 as one would expect.
What's going on with this? Am I the only one who's noticed either of these things? I suppose on that one computer I'll have to download AdbeRdr1010_en_US.msi and place it in that directory where the patch is looking for it.

I'm not sure what you mean by an offline installer, but the available updates, the admin guide, and the release notes are all correct. 10.1.5 is an update (MSP). It is not a full installer. As stated in the doc, full installers are not always provided. Also, full installers or updates don't have any online dependency.
You can install 10.1.5 over that last relevant msi/exe. That's 10.1.4 for some languages but usually 10.1.
Alternatively, you can get a non-enterprise installer from the Reader Download Center. You can probably expand the exe to get to an MSI. That's an atypical route most enterprise admins have not found a need to travel.
10.1.6 will also only be an MSP update.

Windows 10 IDT High Definition Audio Codec doesn't work properly on Hp Envy 20d001-la after update

I'm using a Windows 10 just updated pc, Hp Envy 20 d001la, and I'm having problems with my speakers, they work with IDT High Definition Audio Codec driver. It has beatsAudio available, but the bass don't sound the right way, I can barely hear it. It has a low quality sound... the worst quality. This problem isn't new for me, when upgraded to Windows 8.1, also the problem apeared, when the driver released with a new version, specificly for Windows 8.1, but how did I solve it? I only installed the Original Audio Controller found on Hp Support & drivers page (It was designed for work on Windows 8 64 bits). So, I know Windows 10 is newer than ever, and sure of some bugs or little corrections after updating. But when I try to install the Windows 8 Original controller to get the extreme sound quality again, it can't be installed. The problem says: "Operating system doesn't has the requirements" The new drivers have low sound quality (driver Windows 8.1 & Windows 10 versions) If I could install the Windows 8 version driver, I'm sure the sound quality returns. Thanks a lot, I've tried the solution you've given me, (extracted the setup file with winrar on a folder and search for the driver as you said) but an error message shows: "There are not compatible drivers on the selected folder, try with one for Windows x64" It happens with both drivers I have, W8 & W8.1 versions. And also I have other problem, I didn't connect the headphones when trying solving the problem, and when I connected them, a surprise: The speakers didn't shutdown, they continue playing sounds and the headphones and speakers were playing sound at the same time. I've checked for the internal connector and The connector is clean. Then I tried to install W8.0 IDT setup manually clicking on the files extracted, the process finished succesfully, and system restarted, the sound quality came again, but still when I connect the headphones, the speakers don't shutdown and sometimes music stops. The problem is with all versions of driver I tried, the W10 got by Windows update, the found on Device Manager, the W8 , W8.1installed manually, But not worked.I hope in a future upade the problem could be solved, because I listen to music always only on headphones to avoid disturb others. To reinstall:
To re-install iPhoto
1. Put the iPhoto.app in the trash (Drag it from your Applications Folder to the trash)
2a: On 10.5: Go to HD/Library/Receipts and remove any pkg file there with iPhoto in the name.
2b: On 10.6: Those receipts may be found as follows: In the Finder use the Go menu and select Go To Folder. In the resulting window type
/var/db/receipts/
2c: on 10.7 they're at
/private/var/db/receipts
A Finder Window will open at that location and you can remove the iPhoto pkg files.
3. Re-install.
If you purchased an iLife Disk, then iPhoto is on it.
If iPhoto was installed on your Mac when you go it then it’s on the System Restore disks that came with your Mac. Insert the first one and opt to ‘Install Bundled Applications Only.
If you purchased it on the App Store or have a Recent Mac you can find it in your Purchases List.

[dwm] fibonacci patch doesn't work and DWM dual screen.

How does dwm handle dual screen?
(I am now an Awesome user, and i am thinking installing dwm. I love the spiral/dwindle layout in Awesome and I am trying to install the fibonacci patch in dwm(link). But i think it's failing. When i do makepkg, this is the last output before the error. Does anyone have any ideas?)

Dwm has minimal support for dual screens. AFAIK they are still working on the best way to support it. If you must have dual screens the way awesome handles them, I'd suggest you use awesome for the time being.
For the record I am a dwm user, but I'm using 4.7 because the code got cluttered when they started adding dual screen support. Once it is implemented in a sensible way I'll upgrade.

Windows 8 Activation after Reinstall - Product Key doesn't work

Hello Folks!
The hard drive on my Thinkpad Edge E135 just gave out. I replaced it and reinstalled Windows 8 with the recovery dvds
Windows 8 keeps bugging you that you need to activate it and many features are available with an activated windos, so I really want to activate it. A program to read out the product key gave me a working key at first, but right after that it said that the key is invalid.
"Error 0xC004C003
It was detected by the activation server that the product key has been blocked."
I'm really lost here and it would be very appreciated if somebody told me what I can do. Right? Lenovo. For those who do.
