Hello all : I just would like to know if windows live messenger will be available for Nokia N81 later ?
Cecause actually, this phone isn't compatible

It's not officially compatible but you can get it to work by manually installing the files.

Hi,
I have a blackberry 8520 using V5 OS and downloaded the latest service books as well as the latest version of windows live and yahoo messengers. The problem is i try to log onto either of them and its justs tries to login with no success, i am on a pay as you go tarfiff with access to wifi. Anybody got any ideas how i can fix this problem. many thanks in advance.

With a strong carrier network signal (e.g., not merely WiFi), I suggest the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2 each should result in a message coming to your BB...please wait for that before proceeding to the next step):
1) Register HRT
KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with the wireless network
Please wait for one "registration" message to arrive to your Messages app
2) Resend Service Books (pre-BB10 devices only)
KB02830 Send the service books for the BlackBerry Internet Service
Please wait for "Activation" Messages, one per already configured email account, to arrive in your Messages. If you have no already configured email accounts, please wait 1 hour.
3) Reboot
With power ON, remove the back cover and pull out the battery. Wait about a minute then replace the battery and cover. Power up and wait patiently through the long reboot -- ~5 minutes.
See if things have returned to good operation. Like all computing devices, BB's suffer from memory leaks and such...with a hard reboot being the best cure.
Hopefully that will get things going again for you! If not, then you should contact your mobile service provider for formal support...and to find out if, via the plan you are paying for, you even should be expecting these services to function. Many services will not function without an adequate data plan, even via WiFi...but only your carrier can tell you exactly what services you can expect to work with your plan.

How do I Sync Contacts with Windows Live and Exchange on same phone?

Hello,
We use Exchange 2007 at the office for our corporate email. I also use Windows Live for personal email. Everything works great from the iPhone. I'm able to get both Exchange email and Live email via "push" on my iPhone.
My question surrounds how to sync my Windows Live contacts to my iPhone. Can anyone guide me in getting this achieved? Right now, the only contacts getting synched are those in Exchange. Note that we use IMAP and not POP3 for Exchange. Not sure that it makes a difference.

To achieve this, you need to export your Windows Live address list to an XML file.
Go to people.live.com, select Manage followed by Export. In iTunes, you can then select to sync the XML file.

You have to go to optonline's support site to find out the setting to use for their IMAP account if they allow an IMAP account.

Windows Live and BT Mail

I have Windows 7 and need to install Windows Live so email links on webs sites work. (or so I understand from googling it). All my email at the moment is handled by BT Mail. My question is, if I install Windows Live will my BT Mail all work just the same and I will still have just my BTInternet email address. I am worried that after installing Windows Live I will be forced to use that and not my BTInternet email.

It will all work. Your email address does not change. It is only a different way of accessing your email. You enter the details for your BT email account when you are setting it up.
You may be given the option of how you want to set it up. If you do, if you only use your email on one computer you will probably be best to set it up as a POP3 account.
There is an automated set up procedure, which you can use or you can set it up manually. If you set it up manually here are the settings you will need.
Email settings:
POP3
Server incoming and out going: mail.btinternet.com
Email user name: (Normally you only need the prefix of your email address but some users have found the need to enter their full email address.ie [email protected])
Password: Your BT email password.
Log on using clear text authentication
Out Going Server in requires Authentication (Use same as incoming mail server. Some users have found that they need to enter the password and username instead of ticking box “use same as incoming mail server” )
Outgoing Port : 465 SSL security
Incoming Port : 995 SSL security
IMAP
Same as above except for Incoming Port: 993 SSL security

I have messenger 8 on my macbook pro, but when i try to sign in to inbox. it opens with windows live in safari and automatic signs out from messenger. how can i fix that? im going bananas! thanks

What about rest messanger, thsoe are working or not i.e. yahoo or Gtalk.
If others are working then please ensure Live messanger is updated to the latest one.
You may also try to check by pulling out battery while devcie is on and re-insert it after a min.

Trying to load firefox. all i get is windows live, and it just loops on itself

I wanted to use firefox. but when i download it and activate it it goes to a windows live sign up page, and when i fill it in all it does is loop back on itself with same questions and thinks i am a child. i simply do not know how to get around it. i hate it, i did not want it and i have not use for windows live. i want firefox and use it as a home page

Itunes 9 just installed along with Explorer 8 and Windows Live...

Hello- Itunes says cannot connect with store sometimes, but then connects at other times. Then diagnoses says cannot creat secure link with store. Then it was all good and I bought an album.. it didn't download 3 of the songs, will I get charged? Also, how can I trouble shoot the connection. I have firewall set for allowing Itunes. I have recently upgraded to Explorer 8 with Windows Live and installed Itunes 9. My high speed connection and router are 100% a-ok. Will someone please suggest any cures for these issues, I like Itunes and would like to continue to use the store but this is the first bummer I've had so far...

I am not sure about intermittent secure connection failure, but something you could try which often works with isolated secure connection failure is this:
Go to Internet Options>>Advanced tab.
Uncheck "Check for server certificate revocation".
This should normally be checked, but it can sometimes cause connection problems. I also seems like something that could be intermittent.

Zune and windows live?

Do I have to establish an account on Windows Live ID to upload and down load media to and from the phone? Can't I do this without going through the internet/microsoft? My old phone had a little SD card that Icould plug into the computer and upload nad download stuff using that... What is the crazy deal with this TWOM phone??

It really isn't as crazy as you have implied. Think of an iPod, it uses iTunes to sync with the computer. No, you can't use it as a mass-storage device. The Kin has been limited by Microsoft in a similar fashion, which is a little discouraging, but it really isn't a big deal.
Zune software is NOT windows live, and it is also NOT Zune Marketplace, which is probably what you are thinking of. It is a free, offline software that is essentially just a media player software (like iTunes). Yes, it is true there is no MicroSD slot, which i wish it had, but even the iPhone doesn't. Sadly, Microsoft followed example of the wrong parts of Apple, but this phone really is as good as you can get for a feature phone. It is not a smartphone, so don't expect everything from it.

Windows Live won't install on my mac. Can't Access Hotmail.

I have MSN as my home page and access my email there with a link to Hotmail. In the last few days, the site has been changed and now when I try to access Hotmail, I am redirected to a new window indicating that I need to subscribe to Windows Live. When I download the file, it disappears from my downloaded files and therfore I cannot install it. I can access my Hotmail through a regular PC and have not been asked on a PC to subscribe to Windows Live. So, it would seem the problems lies with the Macbook, but I'm not sure.

Windows Live for E90 Communicator

Dear Friends,
I have used Windows Live Messenger on my E90 before. After Nokia moved the downloads to Ovi Store, now it doesn't let me download Windows Live and says Windows Live is not currently available for E90. I don't know why?
Anyone else has same problem? Can anybody help with a solution?

yes i think windows live is temporarily unavailable on ovi store. i recently cudnt also redownlaod a WLM s60v5 version for my nokia 5800 because it was removed from ovi store, because apprently there were too many bugs in the app so there' editing it

Rookie needs help downloading Windows Live Mobile to her BB Curve 8310

How do I download Windows Live Mobile to my BB Curve 8310??
I've tried both the Hotmail Windows Live and the link to the Blackberry Live, but am not getting anywhere.
The Hotmail Windows Live link comes thru, but if I click on it nothing happens or I get lots and lots of black little squares.
If I clik on the try it link for the blackberry specifically, I get a page that just tells more information, but nothing to download.....??
If I go the software page, I get confused; nothing there that is specifically for the Windows Live Mobile??

Hi. .Emails downloading fine previously then keep getting this error. Can see 'receiving emails' in bottom right status message but only 1 appears in Inbox.
Then press Send / Receive and the rest arrive in Inbox but more often duplicated.
