Dear experts! I'm really facing problem in installing windows live on my nokia 6220c as it keeps appear error saying installation fail. Even i've restore to factory setting and reset the phone, the problem still persist. Have been searching through the net for solution still can't find solution to it. Pls reply. Thanks

Hi,
to see the cause of Windows 8 update failures, we must look for error messages in the following log files:
Please run the Windows Explorer and go to the folder "C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\" and copy all files to your document folder, also copy the setupapi.dev.log from the folder C:\Windows\Inf, the "C:\Windows\WindowsUpdate.log" and the file "C:\Windows\winsxs\poqexec.log"
to your document folder (otherwise you can't upload it), zip all files into 1 ZIP and upload the zip to your SkyDrive [1] and post a link here.

  • Windows 10 Fails To Install

Trying to upgrade to Windows 10 but having serious issues. The upgrade starts in Windows 7 Pro, asks the various questions, reboots to the install environment, finishes copying files, reboots and it goes to "Preparing Automatic Repair." Automatic repair fails to repair anything, and a reboot shows an error "A required device isn't connected or can't be accessed. Error Code: 0xc000000f." No matter what I try it fails at the exact same place. I'm to the point of having my laptop in pieces (I can reassemble) with only the bare minimum connected to get it to start, figuring it might be a driver issue. I've tried deactivating the "Data Execution Prevention," activated TPM, activated TXT, etc. and every combination I could think of. I have installed Windows 10 on the laptop with a clean install, however I cannot activate a clean Windows 10 install without first upgrading. I've posted a thread on the Microsoft community forums, however I have yet to recieve a resolution. If you would to see more info on what I've been told to try you can read it here http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_10-windows_install/windows-10-fails-to-install/106312ee-9876-44fe-9a40-1037a6a454d3?auth=1 I am totally lost and any new ideas would be appreciated. • G500 win8.1 window updates failing to install.

I recently purchased a Lenovo G500 in France (intel I7 2.2 ghz, 4gb ram, 500gb) with Windows 8.1 as the OS, and just got the Internet back last wednesday, so April 30th.
Since then, I've had a total 3 microsoft updates, which in and of itself is not terribly interesting, except that two of these three updates have failed, leading to the following message:
"Failure configuring Windows updates. Reverting changes. Do not turn off your computer"
Obviously in French, but that's the translation I got anyway.
So here's my question: How often does this happen? Microsoft's site tells me to wait for about 30 minutes while it resolves, but the first time it took me close to an hour (and after the 3rd restart after it showed me this, I manually turned it off after it shut down and then it installed properly). The second update worked fine and I had no problems (albeit it took well over 30 minutes to install though), yet the third (this morning) also failed to install (but this time it took less than 30 minutes, although I noticed it froze on the lenovo screen after a restart, where the "loading" circles didn't show up, although I don't know after which restarted this occurred, as I had left it to run its course while I ate breakfast).
Now that I think about it, the first update error occurred after a system error which required a restart (cause unkown, some kind of error along the lines of 0x0000000A, but I found nothing I I'm guessing I didn't see correctly), and last night I noticed my laptop had frozen when I close it, so I manually shut it down. Coincidence? The second update worked fine, and it was the only time I had maually selected restart and update, so this could be a plausible theory, although I have no idea why it froze last night. Maybe I closed it too quickly after closing chrome (although I have no idea why this would cause a freeze...).
So my questions are as follow: Has this happened to any win 8.1 users, are your updates abnormally long (well over 10 minutes), do they occurr extremely frequently (every 2-3 days, if not every day), and what could the causes be for the failure to install/reverting changes issue?
Thank you in advance for any help.

There are lots of possible reasons. Other programs interfering, insufficient permissions, AV blocking, – the list is endless.
I could say do a forum seach but that facility is as useless as the Adobe installers.

  • Windows Live won't install on my mac.  Can't Access Hotmail.

I have MSN as my home page and access my email there with a link to Hotmail. In the last few days, the site has been changed and now when I try to access Hotmail, I am redirected to a new window indicating that I need to subscribe to Windows Live. When I download the file, it disappears from my downloaded files and therfore I cannot install it. I can access my Hotmail through a regular PC and have not been asked on a PC to subscribe to Windows Live. So, it would seem the problems lies with the Macbook, but I'm not sure.
    Can anyone assist me?
    Thanks

wait. i'm trying to download windows live and it won't even let me get to the web page, on safari or firefox.

It's strange, because I can install that package, and all the other custom ones without error if updates, security updates and hotfixes are not included. It must be one of those packages which is causing the install to fail. I tried to install updates manually
once I deployed the image but after the updates some of my custom applications didn't work well.
All of this just happening on the intel board, not the amd one.

  • Windows updates fail to install

Every update other than Windows Defender definition updates starting with November 18 has failed to install in Windows 8-64.  Since this is on more than one installation it is a systemic Windows 8 problem as far as I am concerned. I cannot be the
only in reality beta tester of this problematic (I am seeing program/driver incompatibility issues and IE 10 has very serious flaws) OS seeing this issue. I have tried installing them individually only to see each update fail to install. On rebooting
Win 8 insists on installing any of the updates, generally fails at about 15% and has to reset and reboot. The installation fix wizard works about as well any similar applet from Microsoft which is to say not at all. Apart from "refresh" or re-install, both
non-starters for an OS that is barely a month old, what solutions are there? As noted I see program/driver issues (try running CS6 with a Radeon video card) and wonder if that is part of the problem.

    Hi,
to see the cause of Windows 8 update failures, we must look for error messages in the following log files:
Please run the Windows Explorer and go to the folder "C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\" and copy all files to your document folder, also copy the setupapi.dev.log from the folder C:\Windows\Inf, the "C:\Windows\WindowsUpdate.log" and the file "C:\Windows\winsxs\poqexec.log"
to your document folder (otherwise you can't upload it), zip all files into 1 ZIP and upload the zip to your SkyDrive [1] and post a link here.

When I tried to manually install Intel Chipset Support for Windows 7, Vista and XP (oss907ww, Version: 9.1.1.1016, Release Date: 2009/10/02, http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/document.do?sitestyle=lenovo&lndocid=MIGR-73684) on my W700 with Windows 7 x64, I got the following error message:
"This computer does not meet the minimum requirements for installing the software. Setup will now exit."
The newly released System Update 4.0 also fails to install this version of Intel Chipset Support. However, the previous version, Intel Chipset Support for Windows Vista, XP and 2000 (oss803ww, Version: 8.7.0.1007, Release Date: 2008/08/20, http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/document.do?sitestyle=lenovo&lndocid=MIGR-70315) installs and works fine on my current system. Has anyone else had this problem?

    Hi,
I have a problem installing the above mentioned chipset driver for win7. TVSU can't install it, and when I do it manually, it gives me a message saying (translated - original message was annoyingly in chinese) "This system does not meet the lowest requirements of the software. The installation will end now."
I tried downloading it from lenovo's website, but it didn't work either, giving me the same message. The version of this driver is 9.1.1.1016 (according to TVSU).
Anyone have any ideas on what on earth is wrong?
    Thank you all!

  • Windows update fails to install graphic driver

    Hello everyone,
    I have a problem, I recently installed Windows 10 Technical build 9926.
Windows update shows me that there is a update available for my Nvidia geforce GT 520 M card.
If I install the driver the installation fails.  I have tried this for a couple of times but the problem stays.
Does anyone have a solution for this problem.
    My System specifications are:
Windows 10 Technical preview build 9926 ( upgrade from windows 8.1 via windows update)
    RAM: 6 GB
    CPU: Intel Core i5 2430M
    GPU: Nvidia geforce GT 520M

For what it's worth, as a rule, I NEVER install the video drivers offered via Windows Update. They have always been bad news for me. Case in point: I just upgraded my Dell Optiplex 9030 AiO to the Win 10 Ent Preview Build 9926. This PC has an AMD Radeon
R7 M265 video chipset in it, and the system automatically went to Windows Update to get the driver for it. As soon as the driver activated, the screen went blank and stayed that way. The only way to fix it was to roll back the the driver installation
with System Restore. When the PC rebooted, I unplugged the network cable so it couldn't attempt to install the flaky driver again. I downloaded the latest drivers from AMD directly and installed them. That fixed the problem.
So, my advice to you is to use the latest Windows 8/8.1 drivers for your card from the manufacturer's website. DO NOT USE VIDEO DRIVERS THAT ARE OFFERED VIA WINDOWS UPDATE. Other hardware drivers are usually okay, but the video drivers always seem to
    be whacked in some way.

  • Intel 3000 Graphics driver from windows update failing to install. Error 800F0244

Hi all, So an update has come through windows update for my embedded graphics which is an Intel HD 3000. Problem is the update keeps failing. Tried restarting and nothing changed. I ended up jumping on to the Windows Forums and seems like this problem has just started to pop up for quite alot of users and no solution yet. This is what the windows website says for the Error : SPAPI_E_SIGNATURE_OSATTRIBUTE_MISMATCH0x800F0244 The software was tested for compliance with Windows Logo requirements on a different version of Windows, and may not be compatible with this version. So was wondering if anyone else had this problem and if anyone found a solution?

Hi Everyone , So after a few minutes of digging around this is what I found. This is the driver version that is failing for intel HD 3000. ( 9.17.10.4229 )     So I thought I'd check the driver on the Intel site, to see if it was the latest, which it was .. (9.17.10.4229)    And this is the driver currently installed for my HD 3000... and as noted its  ( 9.17.10.4229 )   SO its seems this problm is a windows update issue and the most current driver is available through intels website. No need to stress, jump onto the intel downloads page and download the latest one if you havent already, This is a link to the  32Bit Driver https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/24970/Intel-HD-Graphics-Driver-for-Windows-7-8-8-1-32bit  Heres the link for the 64Bit https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/24971/Intel-HD-Graphics-Driver-for-Windows-7-8-64-bit As for the windows update one, hide that update as clearly something isnt right and surely MS will patch it soon enough! Hoped this helped

  • MTP driver fails to install on Nokia X6

Hey guys wonder if you could help me out because this forum is simply full of experts!
I know that one of the solutions for installing the MTP driver is to change your usb connection to Mass Storage and delete a folder in the private folder but i can't find it in the private folder! plenty of other folders with lots of digits but no 10208913 folder.
I have just given up and started using WMP in mass storage but it means i can't transfer actual playlists, the songs are transfered but i have to make a playlist manually on my phone which can get real tedious.
if you guys could help that be brilliant and expect plenty of kudos and green box ticking :-)
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    Hi,
I have found a work around which has now worked ok for a few months. I say work around because I'm sure this is a Nokia bug not a Windows bug and is thus not solveble entirely without Nokia's intervension.
    - To start with get rid of any special drivers you have installed on Windows previously
    - Next we need to separated stuff out on the memory card so the files the phone manages are separate from any you add while using at as a USB memory stick.
-- I decided the easiest way to do this was to start from scratch but there is not need to if you'd prefer not.
    - Once ony nokia stuff, music and videos are back on the card pick a single location to use for eveything else. I chose the Others folder.
    - Create one or more folder under this location then using the CMD set the attributes of the folders to system, hidden.
        -- i.e. for me:
           --- attrib +s +h "\Others\My Downloads"
           --- attrib +s +h "\Others\My Documents"
    - You are all done now.
SO, what are the pros and cons....
    Cons:
     - No access to personal files with Nokia's built in file manager
     - Top level folders are not visible to you in windows so you have to type the path in in the explore address bar.
    Pros:
    - The phone works as an MTU device!!
    - If you lose the phone there is a good chance that your personal files will not be found

  • Windows 7 failing to install through bootcamp on iMac 27" late 2012

    Hello.
I have recently received my brand new iMac 27" late 2012, and am trying to get it to install windows 7.
My machine is running 10.8.4 with a 3.4 GHz Intel Core i7, 16 GB DDR3 RAM and 500GB SSD drive.
I launched bootcamp and went through the usual bootcamp standard steps, and after it partitions and restarts, the windows installation stops at the point of choosing a partition.
To elaborate, after the windows setup starts, and I click install windows, it asks me to choose a partition. It happens to be Partition 4 BOOTCAMP (the one that bootcamp supposedly prepared for windows as an NTFS partition.
It does not recognize it as NTFS. I click on advanced options and click format, but it takes a split second and never really formats. The only thing that changes at this point is the name of the Partition (the word BOOTCAMP disappears from the partition name). Another thing I tried after reading full threads for 4 days straight is that I click delete to delete the partition, then on the now unallocated space partition, I click *New to reallocate/format the partition. It also takes no time to turn this into a partition supposedly ready for windows, but it never allows me to choose it and go next to start installation.
I have done this about 8 times now and I am starting to worry about damaging my SSD because of all the partitioning and unpartitioning.
Here are a list of things I have done:
    1. made an ISO image of the windows 7 (64 bit of course) and ran that on a USB
    2. downloaded the ISO image from the microsoft website and ran that on a USB
    3. used an exernal optical drive to run the windows setup using the windows installation DVD instead of the USB ISO image.
I have made sure everything is fully updated, had a friend install windows on his macbookpro retina with an SSD running the same OSX and it worked just fine.
*a small note that may or may not be of importance is that when in the list of partitions in the windows installation I click on Load Driver, it does not detect any drivers although the USB with the drivers that BOOTCAMP created earlier on the Mac side is inserted in the machine and detectable.
What is it that I'm missing?

    SOLVED IT!
after 5 full days of research and trial and error (only error and no progress) and after I had hit almost every wall there is, I thought of reviewing all the elements that make up the set up.
    1. iMac
    2. windows 7 installation (i had both optical drive for the dvd as well as an image on a USB)
    3. usb stick with the drivers on it.
    the iMac i trust.
windows i doubted. so i went ahead and checked the format of the usb on which i had the drivers. weirdly enough, both were exFat, which is created by windows - supposedly.
I decided to change the format of the USB with the drivers on it to FAT. re-downloaded the drivers on it and restarted... and it worked !
Although it does not make sense at all, but windows was reading from the image on one USB which was exFat, but was not reading the drivers on the other USB.
My guess is that the reason is the Mac OSX was reading the windows through the exFat and that was working, but the windows was not being able to read its own format on the other USB. Typical windows weirdness.
In any case, I hope if someone has the same kind of trouble they would be able to benefit from this post.
Also, maybe its worth noting in the instructions of BOOTCAMP.
Thanks for those who took the time to read it.
    b.
