Windows Live Mail error message appears in subpage

I am getting an error message when I try to go from an email message to a sub page and the sub page will not load.
The message in a box says "X There was a problem sending the command to the program" and when I click on OK an Internet Explorer heading is shown with "connecting" in the tab and the rest of the page is blank. The page does not load.
Can anyone suggest a solution?
Thanks
ronswold

Hi mate
If you would search for this error message (There was a problem sending the command to the program) on google page then you would get a lot of hits.
Seems that you are not the only one who gets the error message but this has nothing to do with your Toshiba notebook but with the Windows OS.
In most cases an firewall causes this issue possibly you have installed Zonealarm or something like this
Check this and remove or disable the settings which could prevent the software from loading.

  • Windows Blue Screen Error Message Appears As Soon As IPod Connected

Everytime I connect my IPod to my computer, I get the Windows Blue Screen error message. Thought it was the cable, so plugged cable in by itself. No problem. Uninstalled IPod and ITunes software and then plugged in IPod, still got the Blue Screen. The Blue Screen says something about "recent plugged in device problem". It is not the cable, it must be the IPod. Did not have this problem when I bought it. Tried it on labtop and get the same error message. I can't do updater or anything that requires me to plug the IPod into a computer because the Blue Screen appears immediately. When I unplug, the Blue Screen remains and locks up the computer so I have to restart each time. I have tried everything I can think of. Please help.

Hi Mike thank you for replying,
I am not able to start the computer in safe mode, safe mode with networking, last good known configuration etc, Each time it quickly blue screens and restarts about two secs into the process.
I was unable to try a clean OS install from the disk as it gave the blue screen error shown in the original post. The same thing happened when I tried to use the repair option on the XP home disc. So i can't get into the computer at all to start diagnosing the fault, the only clue I have is the error message, and after searching the internet I haven't found much enlightenment from that yet.
If you can help me out or suggest where to search it would be much appreciated.
    Thx

Then press Send / Receive and the rest arrive in Inbox but more often duplicated.
    Help please.

    Hi
I have not been able to receive an email on the Windows Live program on my notebook computer since 18th March. I have managed to send emails, just not receive. The error messages are as follows:
Unable to send or receive messages for the Btinternet () account.

I thought it might be the settings, but I have just compared with the family computer, which has a working Windows Live, and the settings appear to be the same.
    Any thoughts please? Thank you!

  • FIOS Email: Doesn't work with Windows Live Mail?

I have follow the instructions posted in mid April 2015 for changing the email settings and they do not work at all with Windows Live Mail.
Unable to send or receive messages for the Verizon (text deleted by me) account. An incorrect password was entered. The next time you send or receive messages, you'll be asked to enter your user name and password for this account.

    Secure(SSL): Yes
I am using the exact same identical password I used successfully to access webmail.  I confirmed the port settings of 995 (incoming) and 465 (outgoing) are being used in the set up. I noticed various versions of Outlook (Express, 2010, etc) have instructions posted here but not Windows Live Mail. Do the new settings not work on the client?

Update: I did find the instructions posted at http://www.verizon.com/Support/Residential/Announcements/general-announcements01.htm?CMP=EMC-CVZ_ZZ_... and they DO NOT WORK
Followed them to the letter step by step and still cannot access when using Webmail.  Here is the response:

  • PIXMA MX512 software incompatiblilty with Windows Live Mail

I recently bought a PIXMA MX512 and followed the instruction for installing the MX510 series software onto my 64 bit Windows 7 PC.  Then I started randomly getting wlmail (Windows Live Mail) errors with messages that make no sense.  I went back to a restore point before installing the software and the errors stopped.  I conclude at least one of the drivers or utilities must be incompatible with Windows Live Mail.  My Windows and virus protection is all up-to-date, and I have tried the Repair all on Windows Essentials 2012.
Does anyone else have experience with the MX510 series software while using Windows Live Mail.  I guess my plan now is do another system restore and try adding just one piece of software at a time to see if I can figure out which has the conflict, unless someone here has run into this and knows another solution.

    Hello.
Pleaes try downloading the latest MP Driver for the unit to see if this resolves your issue.  The program can be downloaded at the following link:

    Hi.
If you have any anti-virus or other security packages, have a look at any of their settings to see if email scanning is turned on. If so, turn it off and see if that helps.

  • Trouble signing into e-mail with Windows Live Mail?

Organizer says in e-mail setup to recheck your sign on and or password. I've been using same for years and it's correct.  I use Windows Live Mail threw my service provider and their SMTP port is 25 and that's the only one they use.  On setup I used "OTHER" and wrote in Windows Live Mail in the blank.   How do you setup port 465 & 587 on my firewall which is microsoft firewall.  I already setup Adobe Photo essentials to be alowed through fire wall?  I'm lost and not a programer!!!

Tried both deleting the account and re setting it up again and tried accessing it through my sons PC with the same results.
    E mail 1 says

if you can access your email from the web page then sounds more like a problem with windows live mail and not your BT account
