Windows Live Messenger on iPhone 3G?

Does anyone know whether I can use the Windows Live Messenger app from www.messengergonemobile.com on my iPhone 3G?
If anyone has already done this can you provide a few screen shots to show me please.

Yes, I'm using the browse version of Windows Live Messenger on my iPhone 3G.
You can try on the www.MessengerGoneMobile.com:
1. Select your operator from the drop down list (after clicking download)
2. Select "Other" for Phone Make field
3. Select "Other" for Phone Model
Then you put your phone number and you'll get a text message with a link. Click Messenger on the MSN Mobile site to use Messenger.
If you're not in the UK just go to "uk.msn.com" or to "www.msn.com" and try the link there.
It really ***** that you can't download the Messenger application but that's because Apple doesn't want to compete with the SMS revenues of operators....... But that's really annoying because you can now get it on all BlackBerrys and Windows Mobile phones.......

There is not a specific Microsoft Messenger app in the App Store (there's an AOL IM client now, for example). There are 3rd party apps that work with MSN chat servers - here are two (both are direct links to the iTunes Store):

Why doesn't the Windows Live Messenger sounds work when the app is closed?

I just got my iPod for Christmas and I downloaded Windows Live Messenger. I read the blurb about it and it said it will notify/alert me that I got an IM (Instant Message). I recieved one, not knowing until an hour later when I re-opened the app and THEN found out I got one. Can anyone tell me how to fix it?

There are other Mac/iphone/facebook type questions on here that are answered and the answers work. So I assume eventually this one will too. People having issues with facebook compatibility and Safari for example.

Well it depends on how many e-mails you have in your inbox and how fast your data connection is.
Generally mine synchronised within 5 minutes, but then I had about 10 e-mails in the inbox and I had full HSDPA coverage

Are There Other Messenger Apps I can use instead of the One Pre installed?
Like the Android Apps I was able To use another Third party That Has Great Background Images and Features. One Was GO SMS PRO. When I Installed I was Able To Send Sms Messages Thru That instead of the Pre Installed one.

There are So Many its Hard to choose from. I have Skype that is also Windows Live Messenger But The Messages From the one on My IPHONE does Not Transfer to It. Can any One Recommend One that Will Work Otherwise Ill Just Use the Pre Installed

Windows Live Calender on Iphone time issue

I have a number of events set on Microsoft Windows Live Calender with time set in the GMT timezone. Apple is showing the times of these events differently despite having the same timezone. Any ideas on how can I resolve this?
When I enter windows live calender the time is correctly shown on my laptop but on my Iphone 4 this is incorrect.

BB Curve - Windows Live Messenger Plus

Has anyone successfully installed and used Windows Live Messenger Plus on their BB Curve? I have Windows Live Messenger installed and it works fine, but I heard from someone who has an iPhone that they installed something called Messenger Plus and it disguises the fact that you are logged on via your mobile phone.
Currently when logged in to Live Messenger via my phone it says that I am mobile and when contacts try to send me a message it alerts them that i am mobile and may be charged. I would like it to be transparent that i am logged on via a mobile device. Anyone have any luck with this?

I checked the website and didn't see Messenger Live Plus as being available to download for BlackBerries. Looks like it may only be available for PCs and IPhones...

Songs don't show up in Windows Live Messenger after itunes 7.0.1 update

The topic line pretty much says it all. I've checked the settings in Messenger. I'm not sure the songs are supposed to show up in Messenger from itunes, but they always have and I like that feature.
Since updating itunes from 7.0 to 7.0.1 this feature doesn't work. I wonder why apple doesn't test their stuff before releasing it anymore. They're getting as bad as Microsoft anymore, which is a shame. I'm referring mainly to the larger problems with itunes 7 rather than my petty problem here.

in windows live messenger (msn 8.0) go 2 tool>options & make sure the show song information from WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER as a personal messeger box is ticked!
then sign out of the messenger, close it & itunes, then open up windows live messenger, sign in, then open itunes @ start playing ur songs!

Lose connection to E1000 when using Windows Live Messenger

I have a laptop running Vista which connects to the Internet through my Linksys E1000 wireless router. We have installed Windows Live Messenger, v2011 on the laptop, but whenever we try to login, the E1000 appears to crash. It is still running, but we cannot get an Internet connection on any computer in the house. I must then reboot the E1000 and the DSL modem in order to restore the Internet connection. I spoke with Linksys technical support for over an hour, and tried different things, but the E1000 continues to crash when Windows Live Messenger is used. The technical support person suggested that I may need to investigate "port forwarding" for WLM. Could this be the problem? And if I find out which ports are used by WLM, and open these on the E1000, might this solve the problem? We also tried using WLM from a different computer that uses the E1000 for internet access, and the same problem occurred.

Firefox will not open from the start menu or the taskbar, but WILL open when called from Windows Live Messenger

This started a couple weeks ago, but doesn't seem to coincide with any other installations or reconfigurations, so I'm having trouble getting at the root cause.
The first time I run Firefox after installing, it runs fine (complete with a full list of add-ons.) If I then close FF and try to start it from the task bar or start menu, nothing happens. I've tried starting in safe mode (shift+FF), but get the same result. I've restored FF to all the default settings, disabled all my plugins and add ons, but no change.
The really odd part is that if I click the 'Inbox' link in my Windows Live Messenger, FF opens perfectly. This made me think that it was my homepage causing the issue, but A: I can go to that page without problems once FF has started from WLM, and B: even if I use the FF default homepage or google.com, I get the same problem. Furthermore, if I restart FF from within FF (like after I disable/enable an add-on), it will also start properly.
No crash report is generated by FF when it fails to load, but Windows catches the problem in it's event log. I've pasted the contents of that record at the bottom in the hopes that someone can take a stab at what's wrong.
Finally, I've already run through the online crash help, but everything is either not related (since FF will start if called indirectly) or has already been prevented (absolutely no add-ons are running at the moment.)

I have exactly the same issue. After FF upgraded on its own to version 5, it won't open from start menu, taskbar, desktop icon, or even by pressing firefox.exe in program files directory. It does so by pressing a link at msn messenger, inside Outlook etc.
Disabling all addons, didn't help. Moreover, I can't start FF in safe mode or start profile manager (Start > Run> firefox.exe -ProfileManager).

Error with windows live messenger

I tried to update msn messenger yesterday! and since then msn has gone from my phone and in My world the app just says starting download! but has been doing that for 24hrs. Ive had no problems downloading anything else. I cant do anything with it either!!! like start again or go back ....Thanks for any help...

Try this -
When you device is POWERED ON, remove the battery for a minute, and then reinsert the battery. This make a reboot to your device which minor issues with the BlackBerry device.
After performing about try downloading the Windows Live Messenger again.

Windows live messenger disconnection on nokia 6022...

Hi up until recently I could log into windows live messenger on my mobile, now when I log in I get a error 201 and a message say that "you were disconnected from windows live messenger - server initiated disconnect" then asks if I want to connect again. I have searched the net for a answer to how I can get back on messenger but no answer anywhere. Can anyone help me?

i believe we are talking about 6220 Classic right?
have you checked "Download"? have you tried to update "Download" as well, if it is not showing there?
the other things is if your 6220 is network locked, you might have some restrictions on the apps availability and usage, try to ask your service provider...
if certificate error is shown, try to check the "Application Manager" and see Settings and make sure "Software installation is set to ALL, and Online certificate is also "OFF"
