  • Possible to synchronyse Iphone calendar with Window Mail calendar ?

I am using Windows Mail (default mail software delivered with Window Vista)on my computer and would like to synchronyse Window Mail calendar with my newly acquired Iphone 4. Unfortunately, calendar synchronisation settings proposed by Itunes don't seem to recognize Windows Mail (only Outlook proposed). Is it possible to perform such synchronization with Window Mail and if yes what is the process ?
In addition, would Outlook Express be proposed in the synchronization settings if loaded on the computer ?
Many thank in advance for your answers.

    No.
Syncing calendar events is supported with Outlook 2003, 2007, or 2010 along with syncing contacts and notes.
The iPhone does not sync with Outlook Express or with the Outlook email client. The iPhone supports syncing contacts with the address book app used by Outlook Express with XP, or with the address book app used by Windows Mail with Vista and Windows 7.

  • How can I sync my iPod Calendar over to Windows Mail/my PC (Vista)

How do I sync my calendar from my iPod Touch to my computer with Vista?

You are limited. From the Users Guide:
    Calendars
You can sync calendars from applications such as iCal on a Mac, or from Microsoft
Outlook 2003, 2007, or 2010 on a PC. (On a Mac, you can sync calendars with multiple
applications. On a PC, you can sync calendars with only one application at a time.)

  • Syncing Calendar with VISTA

My version of VISTA does not have outlook. I only have windows calendar. Is it possible to snyc the appointments I put into the iphone with my computer if I don't have Outlook?
    Thanks

Not possible at this time. Windows Mail/Calendar is really just a renamed Outlook Express. The iPhone WILL sync the contacts with Windows Contacts, but will NOT sync the calendar with WIndows Calendar. In order to sync a calendar, you need to upgrade to the full version of Outlook 2003 or 2007.

  • Only have Microsoft Vista = Windows Mail - not able to synch calendar??

    Hi everyone-
I have a new computer which only has Microsoft Vista which comes with Windows Mail, the successor to Outlook Express. Does that mean I am not able to synch my calendar with the iphone? I find that sort of ridiculous.....

There currently isn't a sync for Windows Calendar, but maybe soon
As a work around I created a Google Calendar online and go to Safari when I want to look at an entry. You can set it up to send you alerts, so some of the functionality is still there like Outlook on a computer.

  • Centro (ATT), Vista, Windows Mail

I purchased two Centros about a month ago with the understanding that it could sync with Windows Mail (Vista). My husband's laptop was reaching its age limit and I knew would probably need to be replaced within the next year. At the time, we were using XP and didn't have a way to test the sync to Windows Mail prior to the return/exchange time expiring. Recently, my laptop melted and I had to replace it with Vista. I downloaded my Palm software and then the new Vista version from this site. I am having issues syncing to Palm, so I pulled out Outlook 2002 and tried that. The sync works, but I can't use it for email. I would really like to use one software for email, contacts, calendar, etc. In searching this site, it seems like Windows Mail is an absolute no go. Please tell me I am missing something!?!? My computer knowledge isn't super, so I am hoping that I just didn't understand some of the posted work arounds....Any help would be great!

No Palm device is supported to sync with Windows Mail. How ever there may be 3rd party software that will allow this.
VersaMail isn't currently supported syncing on Vista.

  • How do I get the Windows 8.1 Mail/Calendar/People apps to connect to my company's Exchange server?

I have a Surface Pro 2 on my organization's domain, and while I have Outlook 2013 running fine on the desktop side, I'd really like to connect the Mail, Calendar, and People apps to my work Exchange account if possible.
First, a little background on my company's Exchange configuration, which is "extra secure" variety. Obviously, I'm using generic placeholders here. My email address is
[email protected], but our actual Exchange server is exchange.internaldomain.com, and my actual username is lasfir (first 3 of last name, first 3 of first name). I'm not 100% clear on our certificate process,
but from what I understand from talking with our Systems team, it's a self-signed certificate.
Anyway, when I try to add my account, I get the usual email address and password prompts. I enter
[email protected] and my password, which don't resolve. The app returns "we couldn't find settings for
[email protected] Provide us with more info and we'll try connecting again."
So I add the internaldomain as the domain and lasfir as my username and click Connect again. This time it returns "we still couldn't find settings for
[email protected] Providing this additional info may help. If you don't know this information, search online or check with your provider."
So I enter exchange.internaldomain.com as my server address and click Connect again. This time it returns "to connect to this account, you need a valid certificate on this PC. Contact your system administrator for more info." That tells me at least
it's finding my Exchange server, but I have no idea about the certificate thing. I reached out to our Exchange admin and our Systems guys, and they just weren't sure about the certificate process.
As one of the few people in my organization running Windows 8x, I'm a bit of a guinea pig for stuff like this. Any advice how to get this working?
    - Greg

It doesn't sound like the Exchange environment is configured in a manner to support these types of clients very well.  Have your Exchange team look at the following
    http://blogs.technet.com/b/exchange/archive/2012/11/26/supporting-windows-8-mail-in-your-organization.aspx
    http://blogs.technet.com/b/exchange/archive/2013/10/18/supporting-windows-mail-8-1-in-your-organization.aspx
From the latter article: "Communications applications can connect to a corporate Exchange service
configured to require certificate-based authentication. User authentication certificates can be provisioned to Windows 8.1 devices by administrators or end-users can browse to certificate and install to user certificate storage."
    You might want to:
Ask your Exchange team the public URLs (ExternalURL) for Exchange OWA & ActiveSync
Open the OWA URL in your Internet Explorer from your Surface
If you get a Certificate warning, open the certificate and select Install (NOTE: You may have to install the entire certificate chain).  Your desktop support team should be able to support this because it is the SAME process for standard Windows 8x
    desktops.
Confirm that you can open OWA on your surface with no more certificate or security warnings.  NOTE: The Exchange team will have to configured OWA properly.
Once confirmed, repeat the same steps for the activesync URL that they provided.
When done, try using the OWA OR ActiveSync URL value in your settings of your Mail client.
    Good Luck

  • In August installed PE12  on Windows Vista with incorrect Sharing Preference for Email Client. Shows default Adobe Email Service How do I change it to Windows Mail?

Had PE6 previously to installing PE12 on Windows Vista.  PE 12 installation went OK except for the Sharing Preference for the Email Client. Existing  PE12 client is the default Adobe email service not the correct Windows Mail for Vista. How do I make this change..

    Hi,
I think that for PSE 12, you may need to switch to Windows Live Mail
    http://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/download/details.aspx?id=29224
You may find that you then also need the following fix.
Freeze or error “There is no email program” | Share via email | Elements Organizer | Windows 7
I think that the problem is that the new versions of PSE do not know where to look for the mail client.

  • Just installed PE12. Sharing Preference does not show email preferences, only Adobe. Previous PE worked. Vista Windows Mail

Have just installed PE12 with no install problems. Share preference does not show email preferences, just the default Adobe. Previous PE worked for sending email attachments, Vista with Windows Mail. How do I get Windows Mail as the share email preference?

  • The iPhone 3 and Windows Live Mail Calendar

I have a few questions that I hope someone can answer.
    1. Is the Windows Live Mail Calendar compatible with the iPhone?
    2. If not, why not? Are there any plans for this to happen?
    3. If they are, how do I sync the two?
    Thanks!
    Richard

Yes, it is compatible and it syncs over the air.

  • Import mail.app mails (10.5) into Windows Mail (Vista)

    Hello,
I switched to a VAIO PC laptop and I wish to import mail.app mails (10.5) into Windows Mail on Vista. And of course, I need my adresses, too, although they are not as import.
Windows Mail says that it mainly imports emails from Outlook, Outlook Express, Exchange and Windows Mail 7. So, how do I get my mails? There must be a way!
Please help, I have no ideas,
    Avee

I just want to say THANK YOU, because this fixed my problems for me, too!
Apple Support site ... well, not very supportive. Their answer didn't work.
And even calling them provided no answer - so, again -
    THANK YOU.
As soon as I reloaded my old accounts, all my old e-mails that I'm clinging to popped up! Thankfully - because like an idiot, I didn't back anything up!
