Windows mce capture card on mpc915

hi.
ive just purchased a mpc915 and installed windows xp MCE. i also bought a hauppage wintv pci 150MCE card as i hope to watch sky through this.
is the onboard video up to this or do i need better video card as i can not get any channels at all.
regards
jim

Intel 915G integrated VGA is MCE compatible, but you need the correct driver:
Intel® 82915G/82910GL Express Chipset Family
you also need a DVD/MPEG2 decoder which is MCE compatible. i have provided links to the most popular on my website:
http://www.ukshazam.com/index.php?topic=22.0
now, when it comes to connecting a Sky STB, you don't want to be connecting it using the RF lead. find out what video output formats are supported through the SCART socket (either composite or S-Video) and connect that way
S-Video > Composite > RF

  • Windows Video Capture Cards for FME 3

What are some video capture cards that accept DV i.Link (IEEE 1394) inputs and work with FME 3? The hassle with Windows and DV is just too annoying.

    ello,
My name is Felix Kolotinsky and I am FAE at AVerMedia Technologies, Inc USA office.
AVerMedia has a product AVerTVHD DVR  that works with Flash Media Live Encoder 3.1, AVerTVHD DVR is capable to capture HD quality up to 1080i from build int HDMI, Component YPbPr and Analog from S-Video and Composite.
If you are interested, here is link to product description http://www.avermedia-usa.com/AVerTV/product/ProductDetail.aspx?Id=482
Below is screenshot that I took from FMLE using AVerTVHD DVR, my source was HDMI from Direct TV Set top box, in this case I was encoding in 1080i source into 720x480, you can Encode up to 1080i, however this requires Quad Core CPU
If you are interested, please contact me directly: [email protected] and I will assist you with setup.
    Enjoy,

  • Duel video capture cards and Windows 7 MCE

Hello, I'm wondering why WMC will only see (1) video capture card, when (2) are installed?
I have DirecTV with HD STB (2) which do not require tuners, they have HDMI output (or component RGB output), so a capture card is what I'm using to bring video to my computer. WMC works great with (1) card, but won't see a second card installed.
I have searched TGB and found this link:
    http://web.archive.org/web/20130727050420/http://experts.windows.com/frms/windows_entertainment_and_connected_home/f/23/t/103542.aspx
and have applied the changes recommended, but still it won't work. The article states the problem is NO 2nd PVR is installed and the steps to install it. I've rebooted and still don't have a 2nd instance of a PVR.
Hauppauge is no help at all, gives me the same instructions...
What am I missing here, possibly roll back the driver? I installed the current version...

    Hi,
Please check the following information to see if it helps.
    1. Check if the hardware is Windows 7 compatible.
    2. Update the Video capture card driver.

I'm using ezcap.tv 116 ezgamer capture card to record my PS3, this is on a windows laptop, Im then moving the recorded videos in mpg format over to my MacBook Pro to use IMovie to edit them so i can upload them to youtube but it won't let me import them, even after changeing them to MP4 format, it just comes up with the message: "No Importable Files None of the selected files or folders can be imported. Change the selection and try again."
Ive even tried opening in itunes and copying from thier but they wont open in Itunes, no message or anything they simple just dont open. its strange because it does open in quicktime player.
please if anyone has any ideas that can help me please let me know XD thanks.

First problem: You're fine. The hotter it gets, the more the fans spin up. The computer is designed so that at max load, at max fan speed, it won't overheat (unless it's obstructed by something, e.g. sitting on your bed swallowed by a comforter). It's not the best thing to keep it that toasty for days at a time, but a couple hours at a time shouldn't be a problem.
Second problem: If something in the trash won't delete, just use Secure Empty Trash and it should be fine. Since .torrent files are quite small, it should only take a couple seconds.

  • Use Camera with capture card

    Hi,
I'm using the camera method to view input from a webcam or to
view input from my capture card locally.
My webcam looks perfect, but I don't see any input from my
    capture card.
Of course I've got input (tested with windows media encoder).
Should I activate or define the input (composite video,
    s-video) or anything.
If yes.... How do I do this...
    Thanks.

    Hi,
I have a similar problem. I want to use a webcam by the
composite connection and a dvd-recorder by the s-video connection
of the same capture card. How do I manage my flash application to
get the correct input source, that I have defined inside the
    capture card configuration tool ?
    Thanks,

  • Can I capture the video from the TV card or video capture card to publish

    Hi,
iChat will set up a Video chat window that takes in to account your Processor speed and Internet Speed and to some extent the Buddy's speed.
This then denotes the pixel content of each frame.
OS X 10.6.x tells me this is iChat 5 which in turn mean you have  at least an Intel Core 2 Duo Processor.
This should be capable of 30 frames a sec at  about 640 X 480 pixels  (Check the Connection Doctor (Video Menu) and the Statistics tab during a Chat).
iChat 5 cannot do HD  (Max of 4:3 ratio at the above figures)
After that it depends how you are recording the chat.
    Quicktime X would do it.
iChat will do it itself (if the Buddy agrees)

  • In Need of Video Capture Card

    Hello
I am a digital video editor working with Adobe Premiere 6.0. I have noticed that when I try to capture video on the program all I get is a grey screen with no video and no audio ,however, I do get device control. I have learned that I do not have a video capture card installed on my computer. I was directed to this link to assist me with possible video capture card brands http://www.adobe.com/products/premiere/capturecard_partners/#head2 I have learned that AJA, which is on the list, does not have ANYTHING for Adobe Premiere 6.0 because of how old the program is. I moved on down the list and contacted Blackmagic Design.  They have contacted me back, however, do not have an answer ready yet. Here are the specs for my computer...
    Software Program:  Adobe Premiere 6.0
    Operating System:  WINDOWS VISTA
    Processor:  Intel(R) Pentium(R) Dual  CPU  E2220  @ 2.40GHz   2.40GHz
    Memory (RAM):  4.00 GB
    System type:  32-bit Operating System
If anyone out there has any advice or video capture card preferences, I would greatly appreciate it.
    Thank You

  • Video Capture Card for New AluBook

As I am sure you guys all know the new 'books don't have firewire. This eliminates a lot of good options for a video converter. What is my best usb option? I know the elgato eye tv converter is nice but it's expensive. I would buy it but knowing that you can get a windows friendly version for less than $40 it's just seems criminal. Thanks!

If you use iMovie, FCE, FCP, BTV or Live Capture and an analog-to-digital converter you can capture via Firewire; the converter will do the job of the capture card. One of the more popular models is the Canopus AVDC-110.

  • Video capture card for 64 bit operating systems

We capture video that comes in analogue from a satellite feed.  It comes in 24 hours per day.  I have taken that and fed into a pci Green Valley Canopus capture card ACEDVio, (RCA fittings), and then I capture using Scenalyer.  I have done this for three years, with great success. Since I am now using Windows 7, I have discovered that The Green Valley card does NOT work with 64 bit.  I contacted Gree Valley and they admit that it will not work.  The EXTERNAL Canopus 110 does work, but it is not reliable for 24/7 use, because sometimes it will shut down.  I need an internal card that will stay on all of the time.  Can anyone help with this?

    John,
Thank you for taking the time to offer a responce. As to the "dual boot" suggestion: I do not know how to do that, although I could research just how to do it.  My conserns are: XP is being completely abandoned by Microsoft.  I am challenged every time that I have to do a re-install using XP, (I manage 26 computers for a company). For about a year now, it has been more and more time consumng, because Microsoft seems to be making it that way.  I am guessing that the "XP" part would be for running 32 bit and the Win 7 part would be for the 64 bit, is that true?  More on the subject would be good.  Where to find inforation as to using that option.
It would be great if there was a video capture card that would work with Premiere and the  Win 7 64 bit operating system. There must be someone that makes one.  A guy at Tigert Direct suggested a Haupauge WinTV-HVR1250.  I am going to have to call Haupauge to confirm.  The biggest thing is ALWAYS that it will work with Premiere, and our Scenalyzer program

  • Video capture cards..?

my son wants to buy a video capture card, so that he can save video footage from games played on his x-box 360, onto his mac-mini. there are cheap adaptors available on eBay for £5 or £10 but they invariably say windows (like the description below does). they are just usb 2.0 so i don't see why they wouldn't work for me, or are there mac versions available?

  • Capture card recommendations

    Hi all,
Im planning to produce some video footage through QT PRO, good thing i read somewhere in the forum first that there is no video capture capability in windows version of QT.
does anyone know of a capture card + software that could capture videos from a source and then output it directly to a quicktime format?
    Please reply/post a solution
    Thanks and cheers.

The XHA1 can be read as HDV or DV video. Unfortunately it sometimes isnt sure which. If your ppro project is set to DV ppro will be expecting DV. If the tape in the XHA1 is on a spot not recorded it may be trying to behave like HDV.
So, play the tape to a point where the recorded material is so the cam is sure what mode to be in. Then your PC and PPRO will recognize it just fine. It works with a generic camera preset.

  • Dazzle & other capture cards

Ok, I have a Dazzle capture card for my xbox. I do not have pinnacle studios for it, I use windows movie maker instead. I am having problems with the video preview screen that I can't fix. The screen is too small for me to play and capture. I boosted up the settings and it got  a tiny bit bigger. I am willing to go to another program if it is full screen. Please help.

What version of Premiere Elements are you using and on what computer operating system is it running on?
What do these drivers have to do with Premiere Elements (any version)?
If you are involved in DV or HDV capture into the Premiere Elements Capture Window, you need a firewire connection.
    Please give more details.
    Thank you.

Also can you suggest if any of these two capture devices have been tested on FMLE

I've been streaming with the ION Video2PC capture device...it works flawlessly with no problem. The machine I've been testing it on can only pump out 480p or 540p at the most. But, I'm sure if I used it on a faster machine I would get way better results. You can find them used under $30 bucks online and unlike most cheap capture/input devices, you can access the video and audio in FMLE. Just thought, I'd share they info.

  • HD Capture Card

I'm hoping I can get this problem solved here. I work for Machinima.com so it is important for me to have a capture card to record footage from an Xbox 360 and PS3. My old Dazzle broke a little while back. I was planning on getting a new one, but decided to search for an HD capture card instead. However, I can't seem to find any external HD capture cards that would work on my iMac. Does anyone have any suggestions? I find it hard to believe that there aren't any out there. BTW, my budget is a couple hundred dollars.

Actually, does anyone know if this one would work on my iMac? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16815116030
I read on another website that it works on both Windows and Mac OS so I would just like to know before I went and bought it.

capture card. As nearly all other Osprey cards are supported by FME
I'd assume this one would be too however I thought it best to ask
    if anyone else has tried?
