Windows Media Player 11 Bluetooth connect with N73

Anyone can help me with connecting N73 to Windows Media Player via bluetooth?
I have Nokia PC Suite updated and Bluetooth connects with it.
I can see it on "My Computer" folder as a phone and also as a camera.
In Device Manager, i can also see it as a "Portable Media Device"
But Windows Media Player doesn't seem to detect it when it is connected to PC via bluetooth. Only when connected by cable. But as I want to get rid of the cable, how should I manage this?

Why does my HP laptop download all my music windows media player, HP connected music player, and itunes, when I only open it in itunes?

My HP lap top downloads all my music to the windows media player, my itunes, as well as HP connected. Is this taking up 3 times the space on my computer as it would if it only just used one? I only want music on my itunes, but it puts it in all 3.

Hey, just curious. I downloaded a Windows Media Player that says its for OSX, but when i go to do a test before i subscribe to a streaming radio show it runs a test where its suppose to show a video but i just get jumbled text. am i missing something?

Windows Media Player 11 problems with SoundBlaster Live! Driv

My sound card stops working as soon as I try to watch a video with WMP. I have a Creative Labs SoundBlaster Li've! with a driver date of 8/29/2002. When I go to adjust audio properties, the system doesn?t recognize the card even though it is still listed in the hardware and says ?Device is working properly. I have reloaded the driver, and the card begins to work again, but as soon as I attempt to view a video, I?m back to the same place.
When I run the diagnostics included with the SoundBlaster card prior to running WMP, it passes on Hardware Detection, Wave Driver, MIDI Driver, DirectSound Driver, DirectSound3D Driver, but not on Mixer Driver, SoundFont Setting and Mixer Settings Check. After I run WMP, the only test that will pass is the Hardware Detection.
I have also tried this with the October 2002 driver set for SoundBlaster. In addition, I have downloaded the most recent driver set from Creative Labs.
I'm running Windows XP SP2.
Other programs like iTunes and various games work after I reinstall the drivers, but will not work after WMP starts. It appears that WMP is the source of the problem. Any suggestions?

Make sure you have the DRM update for the Li've drivers. I suspect WMP is cutting out the sound. Just to make sure that this is in fact the case, you could try playing back your clip with some other media player.

Windows Media Player Memory Problems with Zen X

I just up updated my firmware to the newest version of play4sure from the stock firmware. The first time I tried to upload music to the mp3 player, I deleted all my music off my player and reloaded it but after a length of time I started to notice a memory leak and WMP was using over 600MB of memory and when the upload was complete WMP was still using over 600MB of memory. So I closed WMP and restarted it and reconnected my player the program starts to eat up memory again. I figured it was the large number of songs that were on my player and WMP was trying to keep track of them all but that wasn?t the case. I deleted all my music off the mp3 player and tried uploading one artist with about three albums but WMP still did the same thing. Is anybody having the same problem or a way to fix this? I'd use the media source software but it no longer works with the new firmware.

Download the Creative Software Suite for PlaysForSure-enabled Creative NOMAD Jukebox Zen Xtra Players which will enable MediaSource to work. I've not heard of WMP memory leaking before but check for the hot fixes.

What is better creative media source or Windows media player?

Hey I just bought a new Zen player, and I noticed while ripping and uploading songs that the album art does not come along with it if I'm using the creative media source software. Now if I use my windows media player that came with my vista computer I do get the album art. So now my question is if Creative media source can't even do this simple task what is the benefit of using creative's media source? Are there things that it can do that windows media player can't do? Which is a better product to use? :smileyindifferent:angry:

That is part of the Creative Media Explorer not MediaSource. The Video Converter is slooow & not that great. I do use the Media Explorer it is better for making & editing playlists.

Playback on Windows Media Player?

When saving a video for playback on a computer, it gives several options for file type. I need one that will allow playback on Windows Media Player. I see the for playback using Quicktime. Will this also play in WMP or which one do I select for this purpose? Thank you!

What version of Premiere Elements are you using and on what computer operating system is it running?
Windows 8 and 8.1 64 bit (independent of Premiere Elements) have problems with what will or will not play in its Windows Media Player. Files with MPEG2 compression seem to be a major problem in that regard.
I have been able to open videos with the .mov file extension in Windows Media Player or QuickTime (better results in QuickTime) on Windows 7 and 8.1 64 bit. But a rule of thumb might be to try either player for your file, if problems, download and install the VLC player and determine if that works for your overall video playback needs. There is also a Media Classic Player HC that you might want to consider.

N73 with Windows Media Player...

Afternoon,
I am having the most stupidist of problems with my n73...
I have put all of MY CD's onto my NAS via Windows Media Player (v11) using the WMA format. Of course some of (if not all of them) have this bloomin DRM hanging over it. So, I thought if I transferred the music using WMP to my n73 that WMP would sort out all the licencing pants for me.
NO.
As soon as i play the track on the n73 it says 'unable to play selected media', and shows a little icon next to the track which looks like a broken file...
Why can't I play my own music, paid for, on my music player (n73)...?

DRM is really a pain in the **bleep**, lost many of my paid musics, it has compatibilty issue! one have a hard time transfering from one gear to another.
if the music industry wanted to curb piracy, they better made something universal! blo.....

Windows Media Player does not recognize my device in bluetooth mode.

Windows Media Player recognizes my device when connected with a USB cable but not when connected via bluetooth in Windows 7. The WMDC recognizes my device in bluetooth mode without any problem. I would like to synchronize my device with Windows Media Player while in bluetooth mode. How can I get Windows Media to recognize my device in bluetooth mode.

N73 and windows media player driver

hi everyone,
im having a problem installing the windows media player driver off the disc for the n73 it installs everything else but fails to install that anyone know where i can down load a copy.?

I have the latest version of Windows Media Player 11. I have the same problem and will try to explain the steps in the best way I can.
I connect the N73 to the laptop using a cable
I select media player and press ok twice.
Found New Hardware box appears and tells me "Windows needs to install driver software for your N73.
I select the recommended option "Locate and install driver software"
After a few moments I am then asked to insert the CD that came with the N73. It doesn't work as it is an old CD with old drivers from last year.
I select I don't have CD option and I get "problems and reports caused by mobile phone" message etc.
I have tried installing the latest CA-52 driver but I cannot install since I have the latest PC Suite. Windows Media Player is also set up to automatically download licenses required to play and synchronised tracks.

No Windows media player sync with N79 via bluetoot...

I've installed the Ovi suite from the N79 package. I'm using vista and windows media player does not recognize my phone. However I have got my phone under the type Portable devices in My computer.
When I connect it using usb cable there are two devices in My computer under Portable devices and the phone is recognized by wmp.
I want to be able to sync songs to the phone wirelessly.
Has anybody else got the same problem with N79?

Could you please confirm what mode you have selected while connecting your device in USB mode? Do you have any mode called media transfer mode, if yes, try to select your device and then try to sync your device with WMP. If you want to connect your device and sync wirelessly, i am afraid you can't do it using Bluetooth but you can do it by Home Media Server, for that you need equipments for setting your Home Media server with your device and you can then sync your device wirelessly.... as far as i can know, you can't do this using bluetooth....

Windows media Player suddenly can't read some of my MP3, and only with one user account !!!

here is my problem:
I have a lot of MP3 in my W7 personnal computer at home. I read MP3 everyday with WMP and all was working fine, until some days ago. Some of my MP3 can't be read by WMP. I've looked at their properties, but there is nothing wrong, compared to others
MP3 that I can read.
The "unreadable" files are correctly read by VLC. So they are not corrupted.
When I swtich to an other user, the same MP3 are read correctly with WMP. (Both usersd are admins)
My MP3 are présents on two computers at home. When I connect from my second computer with a
\\computername\c$, I can read these files. So the files are definitivly OK. But when I connect from my first computer to the second one, I can't read the MPS that have the same name! it's absolutely strange!
I've tried to uninstall WMP, to delete all files related to WMP in my Appdata folder, I have even tried the FixIt from Microsoft, but any of these steps were helpful.
I've copied the "unreadable" files from the Music folder to my desktop, allways the same issue.
I've disabled my Antivirus, but without any results. I've tried the system restore, idem.
My computer is running W7 32 bits, SP1, all updates installed regularly.
Please help me, I want to understand what has happened!!! :)

the error message is inside a popup: (French trnaslation) "Windows media Player encountered an error and will close." I have the choice beetween "CLOSE" and "HELP ON THE WEB".
Of course the "help" is totally useless....
I don't see any troublshooter related to "media player". The only troubleshooter where I can choose Media player is for the "compatibility mode", so it's not helpful. On the "audio and devices" troubleshooter I see "read
a DVD with Windows Media Player", but that's not my case.
I've already done the last step. I copy the MP3 from my second computer to the "problematic" one, and I can't read my file. But, on the second computer, i can read this MP3 so the issue is ONLY when I try to read this file with my Windows session.
(in the same computer, with the administrator session, I can read all the files).
To put it in a nutshell:
on computer A logged as CEDRIC i can not read the mp3 called SUPERSONG (it's an example lol)
on computer A logged as administrator, I can read the SUPERSONG
on computer B logged as CEDRIC (other local account but same name) I can read the SUPERSONG mp3 that is present in the music Library (that is not the same file, but it's a file with the same name, and of crouse this is the same song). (all my MP3 are copied
from computer A to computer B in case of failure on one of the computers)
on computer A logged as CEDRIC, if I do a
\\computerB\c$\...\SUPERSONG I can not read it.
I know this is complicated to explain, but if I ask to the Microsoft community that is because I don't know what to do ;) ;) ;)

Nomad Jukebox Zen Xtra stops working with XP following Windows Media Player 11 Beta Installat

Yesterday I was very pleased to find that my Creative Zen Xtra (model DAP-HD00) portable media player is a PlaysForSure capable device. Creative Labs, on November 9, 2005, released the Creative Zen Xtra PlaysForSure Firmware v2.0.03. I installed this firmware (I had to install the Creative ZenJukebox Driver v.30.03 first to get Windows to recognize the device). Once the firmware was upgraded, Windows began recognizing the Zen Xtra as a MTP device and life was good. I was able to synchronize it with both Napster To Go and Windows Media Player 0.
After this, I went ahead and installed Windows Media Player Beta, which I just downloaded yesterday as well.
From a functional standpoint, WMP seems to run just fine. However, when I connected the Creative Zen Xtra (with its PlaysForSure firmware), Windows redetected the hardware. It first showed "Creative Jukebox Zen Xtra" in the tooltip, followed by "MTP Device" in the new hardware tooltip. Finally, Windows announced that there was a problem installing my new hardware and that it may not work properly.
Sure enough, when I went into Device Manager, my Zen Xtra was showing as an MTP Device with an exclamation point on it. More specifically, it specified the status of, "This device cannot start (Code 0)."
Prior to the installation of Windows Media Player, the Creative Zen Xtra showed in device manager with the following characteristics under the heading "Windows Portable Devices":
Name: NOMAD Jukebox Zen XtraDriver Version: 5.2.0.0 dated 8/30/2004Digitally Signed by Microsoft Windows Component Publisher
Driver File Details:C:\Windows\system32\wpdusb.sys - v5.2.3802.3802 built by dnsrv(bld4act)
Windows Media Player changed this to the following (the device now shows up under "Portable Devices"):

The file wudfrd.sys is NOT digitally signed in this case.
As of now, my Zen Xtra is completely unusable on this system, and I need to sync it with my laptop for the time being, which still has WMP 0 installed on it.
Is this a bug with WMP beta? Is it a problem with my firmware? Since this is PlaysForSure compliant firmware, and it worked flawlessly with Napster and WMP 0 (before the MTP driver was updated), it would seem to be a WMP beta issue. I'd like to hear more official confirmation on the subject, however.
Some general details about my system are:

Ok, this worked out accidentally - but happily
I first installed the driver - not the media source - but the driver for the device.
After that the windows device manager yellow sign disappeared - apparently the device driver was registered by windows.
Then I Installed Mediasource 5 - the installation went thru fine.
Does anyone have any recommended updates to install, please also advise what benefits.
