Windows network was visible under 10.4 now cannot find it in 10.5

Hi I recently upgraded to leopard and now I find I can no longer see the PC network that shares our LAN. It used to just appear in 10.4 as one of the network volumes. Now apple has removed the network icon from the finder window and I don't know where to look to connect to my pcs.
