Windows - no disk

I recieve this error message whenever Iopen iTunes.
When connected my ipod is constantly in "do not disconnect" mode also.
Can anyone explain what it is and how to get rid of it?

You'll be more likely to get a quick and accurate answer if you ask in the iTunes for Windows area rather than here in the iTunes for Mac forums.
Good luck.

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the install CD as this is a new install, but the error persists. Can someone suggest a Fix-It?Thanx!?Lawrence

I have found the Windows No Disk error message to be caused by having a card reader installed in your system in some cases. If you change the dri've letters of the readers from i.e. F: and G: to for example O: and P: (as I did on my machine) the error message will stop. Worth a try.......worked for me. Hope you find this reply useful, unlike the previous wise a$$ replies.

  • Windows- No Disk error, HELP!

I have an ipod shuffle and when I connect it to the USB port, it loads up fine on itunes. Then as the music is synching, I get an error message that comes up reading "Windows-No Disk Exception Processing Message (then a whole bunch of numbers and letters). There are three options to cancel, try again or continue. Clicking any of the options does not help and only causes the error message to return.
I have tried the r's, and tried restoring the shuffle twice now. While the restore did allow for the music to start synching (whereas at first it wouldn't even let that happen), it eventually resulted in the same error message.
This is driving me crazy and making me so frustrated. When I first used it probably a month ago, it uploaded music fine. I don't understand where this sudden problem has come from. I read somewhere there could be software on my computer scanning the device which might be causing a problem, but I pulled up my running programs and there's nothing open other than a few programs, none of which are virus scanning software.
Help would be greatly appreciated since right now this product is pretty much useless. So much for apple products being so "trouble free."

I've been getting the same error on my 4G nano for the past week. I've had my nano for about a month and the first few weeks were fine. Tried it on 2 different computers (Vista and XP) and same problem. Tried it on a 3rd (XP) and it started ok. Problem started coming back after a day.
I was able to find a quick fix though. I noticed that sometimes the message says something like "iexplore.exe... no disk..." even if I don't even use IE. What I do is end iexplore.exe on task manager before running iTunes and syncing my nano. I don't get the error whenever I do this, but one drawback is that the contents of my nano suddenly pops up in a window - even when disk use is not enabled.
I've reset/restored my nano dozens and dozens of times to make sure it's clean. Leads me to believe it's a driver issue. Either that or I have a friggin malware problem I can't seem to find.
I'll be posting updates every now and then. I'm no expert so I'm hoping an Apple expert also steps in to give some input.

  • Windows - No Disk error message when connecting Ipod to computer

I recently connected my Ipod to the Computer as I have done for the last year and I am now getting an error message reading: "Windows - No Disk". It then asks me to insert a disk. I cannot cancel out, continue or retry which are the three choices. I eventually have to Ctrl + Alt + Del to close out Itunes. Can anyone help? Thank You.

  • "Windows - No Disk" error message on file transfer

    Hello!
I updated our ZDM7 server from plain old ZDM7 with no updates to ZDM7 SP1

  • "Windows - No Disk" error during sync

About 1/2 the time when I go to sync my 80gig iPod Classic, I get this error. "Windows - No Disk There is no disk in the drive. Please insert a disk into drive I:. [Cancel] [Try Again] [Continue]"
I: is the letter assigned to the ipod. It seems to happen just as the sync process is completing. It looks as though the ipod is disconnecting itself just before itunes wants it to.
I've been having this problem ever since I got the ipod in March or April. I've reinstalled Windows a couple times since then and it still persists. I've even done a factory reset on the ipod. I'm stumped. Any suggestions?

The only other 2 things I can think of are
    1) Deleting your itunes preferences files from these 2 folders after closing itunes
    (they'll get rebuilt)
    C:\Documents and Settings\user name\Applications Data\Apple Computers\iTunes
    C:\Documents and Settings\user name\Local Settings\Applications Data\Apple Computers\iTunes.
    2) Plugging something into every USB/drive letter port you've got.

  • Windows - No Disk Error - Please help!

Windows - No Disk Error - Please help!
    Hi,
I have the following set up:
    * Lenovo T-61p
    * Windows XP Pro, SP 3
    * HP Photosmart 8250 printer (with nothing plugged into the various card readers, and USB slot in the printer)
I am getting the following error:
    Windows - No Disk
Exception Processing Message 0xc0000013 Parameters 0x75CE023C
    0x84C40C84 0x75CE023C
I have done a lof experimenting and thru process of  elimination, and believe I have determined that this only happens when the HP Photosmart 8250 printer is plugged in to the USB slot of the computer.
I can stop it from happening by safely removing hardware, and removing the drive that the 8250 creates on your computer when you plug it in.  In my case, this is drive E.  I'm guessing if there was something in the the various card readers, and USB slot in the printer, that's what those would be, but I don't those use those functions of the printer.
I understand there is more at work than simply the printer, because I did not used to get this error, so some software changed as well, that is scanning all ports, and finding a drive that has no disk, and producing the error.
A simple google search finds a lot people all over the world having this problem, and are solving it in different ways, because the suspected source is different: Norton, HP, etc.
I have tried everything I have read, and the only thing that works was my own idea, of manually safely removing the drive the printer creates each time I plug in the printer.
Anyone every any better, more permanent solutions?  Or know what the real root of the problem is?  What is scanning all the drives and being showing an error message because it found an empty drive?
    Thanks and Happy Holidays/New Year!

  • Error message with Vista and 7.2: Windows-No Disk Exception Processing Mess

I just got a new Dell computer with Windows Vista and I am trying to put iTunes on it. I can install it fine from the original CD, and then I am prompted to update it to 7.2. After updating, this is the message that I get: Windows-No Disk, Exception Processing Message 0xc0000013 Parameters 0x7620023C 0c847CDB4C 0x7620023C (Cancel Try Again Continue). If I click on any button countless times, iTunes does open up but then I get the blue screen dump message. I have installed and uninstalled it many different times and have tried any of the additional updates/patches with no effect. I did not see this message anywhere else in the forum, anyone able to help?

Have a USB2 external hard drive hooked up to your system? A number of these devices are starting to show up as the cause of the problems listed above. The cause has been linked to drives that were manufactured a year or more ago. Note I said manufactured not purchased. The cause is poor USB 2.0 specifications that the drive case manufactures followed which has deteriorated with age causing the above failures. If this happens to you try disconnecting your external drive and see if your problem goes away. A couple of multifunction printers have also been the cause of similar problems but most of these have higher visibility on internet search engines than the external hard drives.

  • ITunes won't start: Error is "Windows - No Disk"

    Hi all,
So whenever I try to open iTunes, the following happens:
-About 1-2 minutes of the computer "grinding" or "thinking". Lights flashing, etc.
-Error message then pops up. It says "Windows - No Disk" and below that, it says "There is no disk in the drive. Please insert a disk into the drive." Below that are buttons for Retry, Cancel, and Continue.
I have Windows XP Pro. Any ideas? Thanks!

I am also getting the No Disk error, but only when I plug in my girl's iPod (shuffle). I can click continue or cancel a couple of times and it seems to work fine, but it is still very annoying. We have been using the shuffle without any problems for a few days. When we first got it, we had other problems. We spent about 12 hours between us trying to get iTunes to see the Shuffle. I followed all of the instructions in the KB articles to the letter. I combed the forums and finally found a solution, right before I was about to give up and declare the thing defective. The solution was to give the iPod a different drive letter (P:) than the one automatically given by XP, using Disk Management. This is essentialy the fix suggested by the MS KB article to which you refer.
At any rate, I've got to fix this No Disk issue before she updates her iPod next, or she will freak. I noticed once that after I clicked 'continue' a message box with a rapidly moving green progress bar appeared for a second or two. It looked like the same box that comes up when you attach a storage device like an external hard drive and Windows searches it for pictures, audio, etc. before it displays a list of appropriate actions to take based on the types it finds. No such list appeared, however. I think it is relevant at this point to mention that disk use is not enabled on this iPod.
It looks to me that the Apple software and the OS are fighting for control of the device. Based on what I have read on the forums today, I suspect that my anti-virus might have something to do with it. I am using AVG Free Edition. I can't troubleshoot it right now, because the girl has the iPod.
Any further help that the experts out there can give would be greatly appreciated. Apparently, Shuffle customers are not entitled to free phone or on-line chat support for any period of time. I have read quite a few posts on this type of problem, both in the iTunes and the iPod forums, and I think this is the only one with any attempt at a resolution. Well, except for the guy who said he fixed it by changing a setting in McAffe (sp?). I will also post whatever I find out.

  • M4 "Windows - No Disk" Dialog

    Ran M3 without issue. Un-installed M3, installed M4. Created
new projects around existing source. Now, whenever I try to launch
any app (browser based), I get a dialog that says:
    "Windows- No Disk"
    "Exception Processing Message c0000013 Parameters 75b6bf9c 4
    75b6bf9c 75b6bf9c"
Compilation of the app is fine (the resulting swf is fine).
Thinking this must have something to do with the actual launching
of the app, I try to navigate to "Window/Preferences/General/Web
Browser". However, clicking on "Web Browser" in the settings causes
    this same dialog.
The dialog can't be dismissed unless I kill flex builder.
    I'm running windows xp sp2 32bit up-to-date system. Nothing
fancy. Flex builder 2 works fine as did M3 of flex builder 3.
Anyone else seen this and have a work-around?

Interestingly, my problem went away.... after:
1: I took both cd's out of my two cd drives
2: Rebooted and made sure that all of my card readers (on my
monitor via usb connection) showed up as drives. Normally, I have
like 4 drives show up as "Removable Disks".
I do also recall that during the install of M4 one of my cd
drives spun up for an extended period of time (like maybe a
minute). I remember wandering why. This is what prompted me to
remove the cd's from my drives and try again.
I have not tried to recreate the problem by loading up my
drives, since I've been too busy being glad that the problem went
    away (and enjoying M4).

  • Error: Windows - No Disk

I just installed Flex and whenever I try to test a page, I
dialog box comes up that says Windows - No Disk. The text of the
dialog is Exception processing message c00000013 Parameters
75b6bf9c 4 75b6bf9c 75b6bf9c. This also happens if I try to go to
the general preferences and click on the browser preferences. Kind
of makes Flex less than useful. Any ideas?

    [SOLVED]
For me anyhow. Thanks John. After 24 hours of hair pulling you're answer was the solution. I had been through the mill of changing my drive letters after Google searches for this problem but in the end the external browser worked a treat. I'm using Flex 3 Builder trial and my full boxed version is on the way so I was getting worried,
    cheers,

  • Windows - No Disk Exception Processing Message on iTunes start-up

Every time I start up iTunes I get this annoying Windows Error Message.
    Windows – No Disk
    Exception Processing Message c000001e Parameters 75b6bf9c 4 75b6bf9c 75b6bf9c

If I click any combination of the three buttons many times it eventually goes away.
Then, it also happens when doing any operation with a song file such as conveting format or it rate. In this case it may lock up iTunes and require a C-A-D to get out of the application.

  • Acrobat Pro 8.0  Windows - No Disk  Using Organizer

I am running 2 desktop systems a GTW 840GM with XP Pro SP2 and a HP a6245n with Vista SP1, both have drive bay mounted Multimedia Card Readers with 4 devices. I store my PDFs on CF and SD cards.
GTW 840GM( base load with system drivers and Acrobat Pro 8.0 with updates )
After I launch Acrobat then click file - Organizer - Open Organizer I get an error with 3 buttons
    Windows - No Disk error
    Exception Processing Message c0000013 Parameters 75b6bf9c 4 75b6bf9c 75b6bf9c
    (Cancel) (Try Again) (Continue)
If I click continue 8 times 2 for each physical device the error clears and
if I collapse Computer(navigation panel) the error returns. If insert one media device this reduces the number clicks by 2.
In summary my issue is the errors generated and problems with insertion and removal of smart media when using Organizer to view PDFs.
Is anyone else seeing these errors ?
    Thanks
    Phil.
    PS. I know Organizer is a great tool but no one uses it :}

    re: George Johnson
Thank you for the response. This process that we are looking to do is necessary. We have 400+ OLD PDF forms that currently are printed by our print shop and then manually filled out and scanned into our system. The current process requires a clinician to log into our scanning system, identify a patient chart, and then identify the type of report they are scanning in. This process is time consuming with possibility of errors (wrong chart selected, wrong form, etc.). Plus, we have to stock up to 400 forms at each location.
We don’t have the funds to convert 400+ complex forms into electronic submissions where the form fields are discrete and file accordingly. So, what we have come up with to save costs of a new system and reduce potential errors is to add a barcode to each existing form.
Basically, each form will get a barcode and a javascript function in the onload event to process and parse passed in link parameters.
So when a clinician clicks on a form link in our EMR system the form will load passing in the patient acct. number and form name into the link parameters (all on our local intranet) so it will get embedded into the barcode on the form. They will then print the form fill out the data (or have the patient fill it out) and then drop it in the scanner. Our scanning system will automatically see the barcode and file the form under the correct patient and form folder based on the barcode info. (A scanned image of the form will save to the patient profile).
Ultimately we would like to convert all of these forms to electronic signature/submission but we do not have the funds or the time to do this.
