Windows not Detecting my Ipod

Hey guys, Iv recently just gotten an Ipod shuffle 2nd Generation and when I plug it into windows I get nothing, Nothing at all other than a blinking orange light on my ipod.... Not even anything in My computers or Itunes, Iv tried most of the trouble shooting on the website here and nothing works... so Im getting pretty hopeless so im posting here for help... Thanks in advance

Just A small Update... Iv tried it on my sisters computer and it worked for some reason, but... on my computer it refuses to show anything up.

Removing and Reinstalling iTunes, QuickTime, and other software components for Windows XP
or
Removing and reinstalling iTunes and other software components for Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8
However, after your remove the Apple software components also remove the iCloud Control Panel via Windows Programs and Featurs appin the Window Control Panel. Then reinstall all the Apple software components
- New cable and different USB port
- Run this and see if the results help with determine the cause

ITunes does not detect my ipod

Much to my chagrin I made the mistake of upgrading Windows Vista to Windows 7. Then I d/l the latest version of iTunes and now iTunes can not detect my iPod. I receive the message "The software required for communicating with the iPod is not installed correctly. Please reinstall iTunes to install iPod's software."
I have completely unistalled iTunes numerous times and then ran into issues attempting to reinstall. I attempted to change the registry key which did not work so had to install Windows 7 again to fix issues.
When I run the iTunes diagnostics it tells me I have 2 issues:
1. iTunes Helper is not running
2. No iPhone or iPod found
I have attempted all the suggestions that come up in the help section for "iPod shows up in Windows but not in iTunes". I am hoping that someone out there can help me. I am going insane trying to fix this issue and am cursing myself for jumping on the Windows 7 bandwagon. At least I had all the Windows Vista issues figured out and my computer actually worked.

Does anyone have any ideas????

I tried all the help Apple told me to do. I reset my iPod(didn't work) and then I downloaded the newest version of iTunes. That didn't work either. My iTunes still does not detect my iPod. The newly downloaded iTunes was at least supposed to tell me that my iPod was "corrupted" but it didn't. So... I'm not sure that it is. But that is the only reason Apple tells you could cause this. So yeah, I'm pretty lost right now! Does anybody know anything to help(by the way, I own a 5th generation iPod nano)? Thanks

someone please help me out..hav got d latest version of itunes but still my touch is not getting detected..while installing latest itune software error comes as soon as d installation process begins saying "one more installation process is already running" n d options which come r "retry" n "cancel"

Have retried rebooting after uninstalling but before reinstalling. The error message indicates that something is still running that interferes with what you want to do.

My windows 7 computer will not detect my ipod since updating both itunes and windows. I've tried downloading them again and testing the ipod on a different computer which does detect it.

My Windows 7 laptop won't detect my iPod since the last update of iTunes and Windows. I've tried downloading them again. The apple device manager has an error message.

Windows Not Detecting iPod

When I plug my ipod into my pc, itunes does not come up or detect the ipod is connected. However, when I try it on other computers it works just fine.
I am guessing its a problem with my computer. However the computer is fine, and can detect anything else put in the USB.
Any reccomendations?

ITunes 12 does not detect my iPod nano

Hi there, please help!
6th generation iPod Nano is not detected in iTunes 12.0.1.26 BUT does show up in Finder (OS X Yosemite 10.10).
iPod 4 IS detected in iTunes.
I use my iPod a lot and would love to be able to update it! I have already searched for an answer and tried various solutions but to no avail so far.

my sister has just got the new ipod touch 5th generation, when i connect it to mine and her laptop it does not show up on either and does not charge. But when it is connected to the plug it charges fine. what do i do to find it on my laptop???
