Windows on the internal disk, can this be done?

Hello everybody!
I have an Intel Mac Mini 1.83 core duo w/80GB HD.
I want to use the internal 80GB disk for Windows Vista or XP if Vista can't be installed (Apple drivers, etc) and an external 120GB FW disk to boot Mac OS X and be able to boot in any of the Operating Systems.
What's the best way to do this?

Booting off the external hard drive is not advisable
except when recovering from backup.
a brody, I'm not sure why you say this is not advisable, when it is a widely used and often recommended practice with many successful experiences reported.
If you are alluding to the potential unreliability of some external drives, particularly in situations where updates are applied and issues with 'vanishing' external drives have been known, or some such, then it would be helpful to explain why you have concern at the practice being adopted, such that the OP can at least see why you have reservations.
Personally, I'd have no hesitation in doing this (and HAVE done it with both PPC and Intel minis) and experienced no problems at all, so I would have no hesitation in confirming it as possible with potential for improved performance of these systems.

Your next step is, create a new web application and deattach the content DB from new web application. You need to attach existing CDB to that web app.

I assume you have the S/Ns. The download is at http://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/acrobat-downloads.html. Be sure to backup the download to CD or backup HD for future use.

Can anyone help please. I have just downloads the numbers app. I have a very large document of which i need to send a separate sheet each week as an attachment via email. Can this be done?. Sadly, I am used to Neo and that was rather easy to do. I could not find the answer for excell either! Surely, saving each sheet separately is not the only answer.

If you must send a Numbers document, then I think I would copy the germane content into a new document and save as the current month (or week), then attach that document.

No, this canot be done, afaik. When your camera or card is connected, you will see the thumbnails in the camera pane, but not full size preview. So to browse your photos on the iPad you will need to import them to your camera roll. But you need not delete them from the camera or card after importing, so you might simply import selected photos to your camera roll from the camera grid and then delete them again from the camera roll after importing and browsing, without removing them from the card/camera.

When connecting the Camera Connection Kit to a camera or SD card all you see are the thumbnails of the photos. I suggest you review those, select the photos you might want to see full screen, then import them to your iPad. After viewing them you can always delete them if you no longer want them on your iPad.
I also suggest Keeping the photos on your camera or SD card until you import the to your computer and back them up to at least one other location.

Wow, sorry to hear of your experience. Seems strange that your disk would just eject like they did. It could be a lot of things but more than likely you just kind of have to start all over.
What I would do is insert your system disk and instead of going immediately to an install I would go to disk utility and erase the drive. That will erase everything on the disk and give you a new blank disk to start with. After that I would try to reinstall the system. Assuming that goes well then you should be restored to where it was when you purchased it. After that you can reinstall all your applications or personal files. I hope you have good backups.
I remember one time I was having a similar problem and don't ask my why I did it but I actually could not get it to install a system. I removed both of my ram sticks, shut the computer down for about 10 minutes including unplugging it from the wall plug, then reinstalled the ram, plugged it back in and started up from the system disk and all worked just fine. To this day I have no idea if pulling the ram helped but I have never had to do it since and for some dumb reason that solved the problem I was having, which is the same problem you are having now. Call it voodoo but it worked.

HT204570 I have a ~22k pic iCloud photo library. I want to have a folder of ~1.2k pics available on my iPad in full resolution while offline, all the time. Can this be done?

Hi - I have had iCloud photos turned on for about 2 weeks. My old iPhoto library of around 22k pics uploaded no problem. My issues are with now viewing them on my iPhone and iPad, which are set to optimise storage.
On the iPad I used to have a folder of about 1200 pics which I'd use as a photo frame by chucking on as a slideshow on my desk at work. I don't connect to the wifi there. Since iCloud photo I can't do this, as the pics are mostly low res, if there at all (two weeks after upload the vast majority of my library appears as just a sea of grey squares on both i-devices - thumbnails have not appeared for huge swathes of the library at all. Is this going to right itself?). I read about using Favourites to ensure local full res copies are kept, so I've gone through and favourited each pic (no option to do this in bulk on the iPad?) and this has ensured at least that each pic of those selected have thumbnails now, but no guarantee that the full image will display. Even when I run the slideshow connected to wifi the low-res pixelated placeholder is what's displayed for most of the time the image is on the screen. And if Favourites is the way to force local hi-res copies I still have no need for these to be also stored in full resolution on my iPhone.
Basically, I want a way to force folders to be available in full, offline, and specific to the device. Is this possible? Big step back for what I use this thing for if not.

Is there anything ornate in the frame images. Or are they more or less just made with strips of standard framing molding. If nothing fancy just molding then an action that uses patterns and a little bit of scripting can frame your images orientation does not matter a little scripting handles that. To scale you images to the proper size will take some scripting and the spread sheet exported to a CSV file containing filename width and height.
My crafting action package contains 12 scripts to be used in actions. Two of which would be very useful for your project. If you create you script to size the images so they have the correct print size. The framing of these would be easy. The action would first run two of my run twice scripts for action. The first scripts saves the documents current resolution so the action can change it to what it need the document to have for its framing patterns. The second script will rotate portrait images to landscape orientation. The action can the add the 1" frame. once the frame is in place the action the runs the two scripts again. The second time these action run they will restore thing. One will rotate the documents it rotated to landscape back to portraits and the other will restore the documents resolution. My image visualization package has framing actions and a script to make a 1" mitered selection to be filled with the framing pattern.

A friend wants to download his PC drive that got corrupted by a worm to my Mac and then reload it to his other machine (PC) to eliminate the Worm. Can this be done?

A friend does complex photo retouch and had downloaded an image containing a worm that trashed files. He runs a PC. A tech friend of his suggested transferring his files from his PC to someone with a Mac since we are blessed with alomost no issues with most worms. They told him to copy them back to a disk and then upload to his machine and that should restore his files. Does that make any sense. I am highly skeptical and as much as I would like to help, I am not savy enough to have confidence in moving forward with this...

IDVD on ext.HD. can this be done?

I have my iMovie files on an ext. hard drive. When I launch iDVD (which resided on my iBook hard drive) it doesn't allow me to make the DVD. When I moved the iMovie files to my iBook, iDVD worked fine. However, I want the ext. hard drive to process the DVD. Can this be done. Can any assist with the "how"?

May I assume you are launching iDVD from inside of iMovie ? I suspect so 'cause when you do this, the system wants to put the iDVD project in your home directory.
The only way around this I know of is to not do it this way. Instead, quit iMovie, launch iDVD and create a new project on your external drive. The drag the reference movie from the iMovie project onto the iDVD window. You are now at the same point as if you launched iDVD from inside iMovie.
