Windows OS account for Oracle

My questiom is:
DB version 10g Platform - Windows 2003
If we installed oracle software under user "A", Can we do all type of maintenance, patching, backup,recovery and all troubleshooting without login in as user "A" ? OR Can we make user "A"(oracle installation user) non-interactive mode so that we can''t login under user "A"?
Is there any kind of task in Oracle for which we need user "A" to be in interactive login mode? Do you think we can do ever task in oracle as non-installation user?

At the company I work for we are enrolling Windows Phones as the Business phone but to get our Mobile Device management Software on we need access to the Windows Store.
I only need the Live accounts for the store. The users do not need individual Windows Live Accounts

The Windows Phone Store does require a Microsoft Account(MSA) to download apps. This can be either the end user's MSA or a company issued MSA. All MSA's have a 5 device limit on Windows Phone. If you plan to create your own MSAs, note the following:
Currently there is a limit that only 3 Microsoft Accounts can be created per day from the same IP Address. You can request an exception by using the following form:

To submit a whitelist a request please have the following information available:
• Contact Name
• Contact email address
• Customer Name
• Customer Company Name

Which is better having many Window User Accounts for the same person, so to have many Firefoxes or have many Firefoxes under one Windows Account User?

Right now I have around 6 Window User Accounts (just for me on one computer) because I did not know that I could put more then one Firefox per account. I have to leave the tabs up when I close Firefox because if I just bookmark them I wont finish my work I was doing with those sites. Now that I know how to put multiple Firefoxes under one user account. Which would make my computer fast or does it not matter, if I put all my Firefoxes on one Window user account or have 6 Window user accounts, each with their own Firefox?

It is more work to switch to another Windows account then to open another Firefox instance with another profile.
If you only use the other windows accounts for using Firefox that way and not for other purposes then there is nothing against switching to only one Windows account to make it easier to manage things as backing up your personal data or copying your data between the other profiles.
So it is up to you if you want to switch to only one Windows account.

GR IR account for Oracle Apps

I am working in an environment where they are developing reports for SAP and Oracle. I have a situation where they have an account called GR IR (goods-receipt/invoice-receipt) in SAP.
How this account works is as follows.
In the P2P process, after the company sends in a PO to a supplier, three cases might arise.
-- Goods received by the Company but Invoice not recieved
-- Goods not received but Invoice received.
-- Goods received and Invoice Received.
So, During the first two scenarios, SAP has an Account called GR IR account which is an internal account that stores the invoice data, like amount, invoice date, orders etc..
I wanted to find out if Oracle has anything like that. Does Oracle applications has any internal account like GR IR account.
ANy help is greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance

If you are asking about Oracle E-Business suite then all your reports will be developed using a user "APPS".
This APPS is like super user and has privileges to read all the invoice details.

How do I map Windows users accounts on a mac

I want to map the Windows network account for a user on a mac. When I map the individual folder I also get the server icon giving them access to all users files. How can I map just the one users folder and not the server icon?

I think the only way to do this would be to share the exact folder you want to be seen on the mac (not sure if this is possible on a win xp server).
However, you could just hide the server icon in the finder and in the sidebar. This is done by clicking on Finder --> Preferences in the menu bar. Deselect "connected servers" in the general tab and the sidebar tab. Please note that this will hide all connected servers, so this may cause problems. The server icon can still be seen if someone uses Go-->Computer in the finder.

DOES WORKFLOW 2.6 REQUIRE ORACLE ACCOUNTS FOR USERS?

We would like to integrate Oracle Workflow with our existing implementation of Oracle Portal. I was hoping that, by using OID accounts and groups, that SSO could be used to access whatever workflow functionality was required by our users WITHOUT also creating an Oracle account for each of these users.
IS THIS FEASIBLE?

There might be some configuration required, but this should work. Workflow only requires the Oracle HTTP Server + ModPLSQL to render screens.
The Oracle Plug In for Microsoft IIS is available for Windows NT and Windows 2000.
To quote the Configuration Guide:
Oracle Plug-in for Microsoft IIS enables you to use Microsoft Internet Information Server (IIS), the Web server included with Windows NT, to directly access PL/SQL and Java Web components stored in the Oracle database server. you shouldn't have to install itunes in her account. she should have it already in her account if it has been installed on yours.

DD got new laptop(Windows 8). I would like for her to have her own iTunes account. However she has been syncing her iPod to my account for 2years and has an abundance of music/movies that we don't want to buy again. Any way to share them to her new PC?

My daughter got a new laptop for Christmas (windows 8). I would like to set up her own iTunes account on her laptop. Our dilema is she has been syncing her iPod to my account for 2 years now, therefore, she has an abundance of music (purchased through iTunes store) and movies (downloaded via digital download from DVD/BluRay purchases) that we don't want to have to purchase all over again. Is there any way to share some/all of my account with her so she can sync her iPod to her laptop in the future?
I have been reading about Home Sharing but I am not sure this is the approach I am after. Will home sharing work to allow her to alter and change the content on her PC without changing/altering it on mine? Will it allow her to sync her iPod with her PC?
I suppose I should also add that we are currently running 2 iPod touches, 2 iPads and an iPhone from my apple ID. I am not even sure if I would be able to add her PC as a device for home sharing if that is an option for us.

Is there a way to have two different iTunes for two different iPhones on one Windows User account?

Using Windows 7, iphone 4.
I've read as many threads on these forums and as many kb's as I could find, but I sttill can't figure it out. I have 2 iPhones. Let's call them, "wife" and "hubby". I want to have two separate iTunes, one for each of the phones. Hubby is the Windoows User. I don't want to set up a different Windows User for wife.
Hubby was the original iPhone. When I plug it in, iTunes recognized it has Hubby's iPhone. Then I unplug Hubby and close iTunes. I plug in Wife but iTunes stll comes up with Hubby under Devices and syncs Hubby's iTunes to Wife's iphone.
I've tried using the shift key when I open iTunes to set up two separate .itl files to no avail.
Is there a way to have two different iTunes for two different iPhones on one Windows User account?

What happens if you rename the iPhone "Wife" when it shows up as "Hubby", then choose a different set of apps/playlists to sync with? iTunes is supposed to be able to manage multiple devices, each with their own selection of content. Perhaps you "restored" "Wife" with a backup from "Hubby" when you first set things up which is now causing confusion.
To create a new library press and hold down the shift key as you click the icon to start iTunes and keep holding shift until asked to choose or create a library. You need to use the same technique to switch back.

I have already installed Oracle DB 11g R2 64-bit for Windows.
I have tried to install Toad for Oracle version 10.1.1.8 making no use of any Oracle Client,
but it displays an error "Oracle Client not found!"
