Windows recognizes graphics as a Mobility 2600 XT.

Hello Everyone. I recently put XP Pro on my iMac so i can play my games. I ran dxdiag and noticed that Windows said my card was a Mobility Radeon 2600 XT. Now, i know the card is a regular Radeon 2600 XT. I went to ATI's site and downloaded the latest drivers *i downloaded drivers for a 2600XT* (8.5). However, during setup it said it can not find compatible hardware. I went back to ATI and saw an option for "Boot Camp," i tried those drivers, they installed, i restarted, but they still show my card as a Mobility. I want the correct drivers so i can get the best performance for my games.
So, can anyone help me get the correct drivers?
I tried using search but the closest thing i could find was for a x1600.
Thank you so much!

    Hello, joegoducks.
Thank you for visiting Apple Support Communities.
If your device is not recognized by iTunes, I would recommend the steps in the article below.  Start with the section labeled Verify that the Apple Mobile Device USB Driver is installed > For Windows Vista, Windows 7, and Windows 8 > Update the Apple Mobile Device Driver.

  • Help, Windows recognizes ipod but itunes doesn't

ive tried everything that ive seen listed but nothing seems to work. My issue is that Windows recognizes ipod but itunes doesn't. I would really apprecaite it if someone could help me with this issue.

Wow, I'm sorry to hear this is still happening. I had the same problem until this newest version of itunes. The thing that always worked for me earlier was the re-starting of the ipod service. I have nothing else.
    Good luck

  • Itunes library is on a mac formatted external hdd: can windows recognize it

subject pretty much says it all. can windows recognize my mac formatted external hdd? i know when i had my ipod formatted to windows, the mac recognized it, but will the mac formatted drive allow windows to see it, play the music, and possibly move it to my ipod?
    thanks!!!

Default, Windows will not recognize Mac formatted disks.
A number of applications can enable Windows to read them.
Take a look at this page: http://www.macwindows.com/disks2.html
I don't have experience with any of the apps. mentioned on that page, so I can't tell you how they perform.
Maybe posting in the iTunes for Windows forum will result in specific information.

  • Windows recognizes USB device but neither it nor iTunes recognize iPod

I just got a iPod shuffle this morning and tried to install it. When I first installed the software and restarted, I plugged in the shuffle, iTunes opened, and the iPod appeared on the iTunes menu. Immediately thereafter, however, a message popped up on my screen informing that Windows had recognized new hardware, installed it, but needed to restart. I restarted. Since then I have not been able to get iTunes to recognize the iPod shuffle. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the iPod software and iTunes several times, and followed all the tutorials I could on the website. Now I am actually afraid I have messed something up by deleting the uninstall file for iTunes somehow... so I can't seem to uninstall or reinstall anymore.
Anyway, regardless, I wouldn't care about uninstalling iTunes again if it would just recognize the shuffle.
I should also add that when the iPod is plugged in, the iPod blinks with the Amber light (signifying disk mode??) and Windows still recognizes a USB device... If I go to device management it even called it an "Apple iPod Device" but I can't seem to get any other recognition of it.
    Dell Windows 2000

Did you ever get an answer?
My Shuffle is flashing Amber/Green (Disk Mode).
I tried removing then reinstalling iTunes and the iPod
updater. I start the updater then plug in the Shuffle.
Windows recognizes the Apple iPod USB Device. Then
everything freezes. The updater freezes. If I use
task manager to kill the process, I still can't eject
the USB device from Windows. If I try to shut down,
the computer hangs. I have to hard reboot the system.
This is a catch-22. How do you use the updater if the
computer doesn't really recognize the Shuffle? By the
way the same thing happens if I try to use the updater
    from my laptop.
I just got a iPod shuffle this morning and tried to
install it. When I first installed the software and

  • Windows recognizes Java

    Hi folks,
I'm wondering WHY my Windows recognizes Java. I don't have the path to the Java directory in my Windows Path. Yet, I can go to any directory and type "java -version" and it works just fine.
Am I missing something? I thought Windows would only recognize java if it was aware of it through the Parth environment variable.
    Help!?

So my next question is, doesn't the java.exe need access to the rest of the files in the JDK/JRE which are located elsewhere? If it is the one installed by that JRE/JDK, then yes.
How does it know about these?Probably via the registry keys installed during installation.

  • Windows recognizes, Manager doesn't

I've been through the checklist with no luck. I restored my iPod and since then, ipodservice and ipodmanager will not read it. When I reboot my computer, the icon will appear in the systray, but then disappears before finished loading applications. If I shut down the service in the process list and restart manually, the same thing happens. Windows recognizes the device but nothing else will. I've tried everything on the suggested fixes all the way to re-installing the ipod software on my computer, but still getting the same results. I need to use it again in 5 days and I have to get my music back on it. HELP!!!

Okay, finally found a workable fix for this issue...
It seems that the iPod was getting cranky over two things: 1) my laptop's USB 2.0 settings, and 2) the iTunes "Enable disk use" function.
    How I fixed it:
    1) Uninstalled all versions of iTunes, iPod Updater and Quicktime on the system. iPod Updater tried to uninstall my 3rd-party Bluetooth software during uninstall, so I uninstalled that too.
    2) Manually deleted all instances of "itunes.pref" in Windows Explorer. I found three:
    one in c:\Documents and Settings\[my userid]\Application Data\Apple Computer\iTunes,
    one in c:\Documents and Settings\[my userid]\Local Settings\Application Data\Apple Computer\iTunes,
    and one in c:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Apple Computer\iTunes.
    3) Went into Device Manager and shut off Enhanced USB.
    4) Restarted computer.
    5) Clean install of iTunes 4.9.0. (I was lucky I had an old CD around, but there are still copies floating around the Web for download.)
    6) Restarted computer.
    7) Opened iTunes, went through the first-time-setup wizard, reauthorized my Music Store purchases. Plugged in the iPod and everything worked beautifully, albeit slowly (USB 1.1 doesn't set any speed records).
I'm not sure if it's a peculiarity of Toshiba's laptops or iTunes (note that my laptop also went to the shop recently for a faulty power supply/motherboard assembly), but this fix ONLY works if you leave the machine in USB 1.1. If you try to synchronize your iPod with the 2.0 protocols enabled, iTunes won't recognize it.
Making sure you've removed all copies of itunes.pref is also essential, particularly if you've ever checked the "Enable disk use" control in the past. You'll know you've done it right if the iTunes installer makes you go back through the first-time-setup routine.
...And let that be a lesson to me about the evils of unnecessary software updating!

  • Problems with Bootcamp and windows 7 graphic driver

So I installed windows 7 ultimate on my 24" Imac 2.93GHZ with a Nvida GT 120.
I installed the boot camp software on windows, which installed the graphics driver and everything.
Anyway so I downloaded Dungeons and Dragons online cause I wanted to see how the performance is.
When I run it, it says no sutible graphics drivers were found, check to see if your system meets the requirements.
Which it does, the game is quite old and could run on a old Geforce 6600.
So I went to Nvidia to look for the driver, I thought I found the right one, downloaded it, but it didn't work saying that I didn't have the card. Am I supossed to download the mobile version of this driver?
    Thanks!

Fixed it, just needed to upgrade my bootcamp.

  • Windows can't find Apple Mobile Device (Recovery Mode) after iTunes 9.2 upg

    Hey guys!
My iPhone 3G (3.1.3) and iTunes (9.1) has been working normally when I upgraded iTunes to the 9.2.0.61 version to install the OS4 in my iPhone.
After this, when my iPhone turn on in Recovery Mode, Windows cannot find the driver "Apple Mobile Device (Recovery Mode)" and the iTunes can't upgrade to OS4.
If I turn on my iphone in normal mode, Windows can install successfully the driver and iTunes recognize the iPhone.
I put my iPhone in another PC (with Windows XP and iTunes 9.1) and the Windows found and installed the iPhone drivers in Recovery Mode. But, in this computer, I've also tried upgrade the iTunes to 9.2 version and the same Problem has benn ocurred.
Someone else has the same problem???
    Thanks for help!

    I GOT THE SOLUTION!!
This problem happens due a conflict between the Samsung's Software "NEW PC STUDIO" and the Apple Drivers!
The solution is unistall all Samsung's Software and removing all Apple Softwares as well (like iTunes, device drivers etc)
Then cleaning the Windows Register with some software like CCleaner AND manually using REGEDIT, just find for Samsung (carefully with other Samsung Devices like HardDrive. You musn't remove something like that) then, finding for New PC Studio.
Remove all Keys related Samsung New PC Studio.
Restart your PC and reinstall iTunes lastest version.
Now, you can put your iPhone in Recovery Mode that Windows will recognize it!

  • ITunes doesn't recognize iPhone and Apple Mobile Device USB Driver is missing

Hi. iTunes does not recognize my iPhone when I connect it to my PC via USB. I found iOS: Device not recognized in iTunes for Windows and went through the listed steps to diagnose the problem. The problem seems to be the Apple Mobile Device USB Driver. It is not listed in Device Manager and it does not seem to be installed on my PC. I followed directions for "If the Apple Mobile Device USB Driver is not listed" and I was not able to find anything. In that case there are no further steps that you can take listed on iOS: Device not recognized in iTunes. I then uninstalled and reinstalled iTunes and other software components (http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1923) three times but each time Apple Mobile Device USB Drive was missing. If anyone can advise me I would greatly appreciate it.

    PC: Windows 7

  • HP Pavilion 15-e001ax windows 7 Graphics driver

I have installed windows 7 ultimate 64bit on my laptop, all the drivers are working properly except the graphics driver. When i run any game, there is half-half inch empty black screen on both side, (left side and right side) and the game run on middle of the screen. the same problem i faced, when i upgrade from win8 to win8.1, but when i install propre drivers, the issue is resolved, So please help me out.

Hi: The only suggestion I can offer would be to try the W7 graphics driver directly from AMD. http://support.amd.com/en-us/download/mobile?os=Windows%207%20-%2064 If that doesn't work, I suggest you contact HP technical support for the country you live in at the link below, and submit a support case if your notebook is still under warranty.  There may be a hardware issue with the display or gpu. http://www8.hp.com/us/en/contact-hp/ww-contact-us.html
