Windows reinstall problem when skype is used on both windows and apple os
i installed skype on the windows os partition of my macbook and it worked fine. after doing the same installation on the mac os partition i was no longer able to use skype with windows i.e. every time i selected "options" in skype my macbook rebooted. i have since removed the windows partition from my macbook hdd but am having problems reinstalling it since. can anyone help?

My wife and I share an iMac and we each sync to it using separate user accounts and separate Apple IDs. She has an iPad 2 and I have an iPhone 4. We upgraded the mac to Lion and the iphone to OS 5. Now itunes only recognizes my apple id no matter which user is logged in. Now if I download the Home Depot app to my phone it automatically gets pushed to my wife's iPad, which she does not want. We want to keep things separate. How can we do this?
You can sync devices with the same iCloud ID, not seperate ones.
If she has a different login on your Mac, make sure she has her own ID defined in System Prefs > iCloud -
DB Function errors out when trying to use in both Answers and RPD file.

Its a strange behaviour that one function which is in Database works fine the other does not. I have created 2 DB functions and accessing them from OBIEE in both Answers and RPD. One function which returns a Date is working fine, the one which is returning a number is throwing a error.

VijayI noticed that you have not specified the type of return value that the function returns. It is good practice to do so..
EVALUATE('DB_Function(%1)' as returntype, {Comma separated Expression}).
Try EVALUATE('APPS.XXX_BUSINESS_DAYS(%1,%2,%3)' as number,"Soft cost Fact"."Soft Cost Date","Soft cost Fact"."Soft Cost Date",1) to see if that resolves the error.

I met a problem when try to use ACSE+ Windows AD to authenticate two kind of WLAN clients:
1. Background:
We have two WLAN: staff and student, both of them will use PEAP-MSCHAPv2, ACSE will be the Radius server, it will use Windows AD's user database. In AD, they create two groups: staff and student. The testing account for staff is staff1, the testing account for student is student1.
2. Problem:
If student1 try to associate to staff WLAN, since both staff and student WLAN using the same authentication method, the auth request will be send to AD user database, since student1 is a valid user account in AD, then it will pass the authentication, then it will join the staff WLAN. How to prevent this happen?
3. Potential solution and its limitation:
1) Use group mapping in ACSE(Dynamic VLAN Assignment with WLCs based on ACS to Active Directory Group Mapping), but ACS can only support group mapping for those groups that have no more than 500 users. But the student group will definitely exceed 500 users, how to solve it?
2) Use methods like âRestrict WLAN Access based on SSID with WLC and Cisco Secure ACSâ: Configure DNIS with ssid name in NAR of ACSE, but since DNIS/NAR is only configurable in ACSE, don't know if AD support it or not, is there any options in AD like DNIS/NAR in ACSE?

I read that as, If a user belongs to >500 Windows Group, ACS can't map it. The group can have over 500 users, its just those users can't belong to more than 500 groups. -
i just installed yosemite on my mcb pro mid 2012 with a clean install. so i only had the new os x yosemite running on my mac. everything went perfect. than i installed win8.1 with the bootcamp assistant and also everything went perfect.
But here's the Problem:
When i'm using Windows 8.1 and i go to the "Computer" window where i can find my hdd partition "Bootcamp (c;) there is only this Partition. the mac Partition is missing.
so i am not able to read the files on my mac Partition.
Before i installed yosemite and win8.1, i was running mavericks and win7 on my macbook pro and i haven't had this Problem. i was able to see and read my mac Partition also on Windows 8.1???
is there any solution for this Problem???

Problem when try to use 2 computers
Hello there.
I'm now facing a problem when try to use 2 computers. Specifically, I downloaded my ebook (pdf form) in my laptop and open it without problems. But when I tried to reopen the same book (from human kinetics site) to my pc, the known message revealed ("E_LIC_ALREADY" etc etc).
As I realised, in my laptop, the ADE wasn't authorized (in fact, "is authorized without an ID"). I tried but didn't achieve to authorize it (it's not accepting my username and password, saying that the specific ID is already used, obviously when I made the similar procedure on my pc, a year ago), whereas I'm also not able to re-open the book in my pc (I made copy-paste to the appropriate folder of my pc, by the way...). What's the solution in this case? I mean, it's very annoying for me and I desperately want to solve it...

Answer 2 : turn the card upside down and check the model number .. the model number would be WPC54G and if there v2/v3/v4 after it it means that the card is version 1 ....
Answer 3: As you windows xp , go to start >> programs >> uninstall wireless notebook adapter.... insert the CD for the adapter ...take the card out and insert it back again.... follow the instructions on the found new hardware wizard ... this will install the drivers for the adapter and then you can use the windows wireless configuration utility to connect to the wireless network .... -

Download update 4 for Intel x64 or Amd if your notebook have an Amd CPU of Visual studio 2012 and trya again. Before you can controll if the installer install library of visual studio 12 during installation and see if the library missing is on windows\system32.

PS CS5 Extended on Windows
When trying to use the clone stamp and/or healing brush as soon as I move the cursor from the toolbar over to the image I get an exact copy of the existing layer that moves around the window with the movement of the clone stamp/healing brush. This just started tonight. What's causing this weird behaviour?What are the settings in Window > Clone Source?

My macbook pro (2010 13inch) is really laggy when I'm using apps like iTunes and safari. the arrow on the screen seems to not respond and is laggy and when viewing videos it can be really laggy. I just want to know if it was a problem i could fix, thanks.
You might start with:
Open Activity Monitor in the Utilities folder. Select All Processes from the Processes dropdown menu. Click twice on the CPU% column header to display in descending order. If you find a process using a large amount of CPU time, then select the process and click on the Quit icon in the toolbar. Click on the Force Quit button to kill the process. See if that helps. Be sure to note the name of the runaway process so you can track down the cause of the problem.
If the above reveals nothing helpful, then create a new user account. Log out of your account and log into the new account. Do the problems cease? -

Problem? I'm not even sure what your problem is, much less whether it's a problem with the phone or the carrier. -
How do I uninstall or reinstall itunes when the itunes.mls file is missing and won't do either without it? Have done a search for the file extension on PC and two external hard drives. Doesn't show up.
Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility from the following page (use one of the links under the "DOWNLOAD LOCATIONS" thingy on the Major Geeks page):

To install the utility, doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file you downloaded.
Now run the utility ("Start > All Programs > Windows Install Clean Up"). In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:
Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly this time? -

<Email Edited by Host>Yes you can. OS X version 10.6.6 and later can read/write exFAT. Windows XP SP3 and later can read/write exFAT. As posted by Radiation Mac, you can do it from Windows or from OS X.
However, I've noticed Windows to be somewhat picky about drives formatted on a Mac. So, if Windows can't read it, try formatting it on the Windows machine, and see how it works on the Mac.
