Windows Returning on Restart no matter what
Hi,
I have tried to fix this problem myself to no avail. I have the latest version of Lion on a Macbook Pro.
Whenever I restart the apps I had open always come back on, which is Safari and Mail. Safari opens with two tabs that I had open. This has been happening for about a week and a half now.
Whenever I shut down I have tried to uncheck the box on the dialog that says "Reopen windows when logging back in."
I have tried clearing my user caches, system caches, rebuilding permissions, even zap the pram. Nothing has worked. Safari and Mail keep opening when I start up. I have the Safari Restore extension installed for Safari to remember tabs that I had open and tried turning off extensions and restarting, but upon restart Safari automatically turns them back on.
Very frustrating.
Anyone have any ideas? Thanks.
It seems like this is a permissions issue, but I've rebuilt permissions a few times already.

Hi my computer is infected with the browser hijacker called claro-search. I've done some research on it and have tried many fixes but it still keeps coming back.
What I've tried:
Adware Cleaner
Malware bytes
Restarting in safe mode
going to about:config and typing in claro-search then clicking reset to the search results.
Troubleshooting information and resetting Firefox
Going to the Profile folder under troubleshooting information and deleting the chromeappsstore.sqlite file

Do a malware check with some malware scanning programs on the Windows computer.<br />
You need to scan with all programs because each program detects different malware.<br />
Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before doing a scan.

If you have security software installed you can try to delete all existing entries for Firefox and its sub processes in the different configuration modules and try to fully trust/allow Firefox afresh. With installation of 10.1 I lost finder search function. The finder window appears, but no matter what I put in the search window, nothing is found. I re-installed it with initial success, but it failed again very soon.

iTunes Store for Windows. Everytime I try an access the iTunes Store it takes really long to connect and then it says iTunes store cannot be access. I think I am up to date with iTunes Verison, I Have 11.0.2.26 but no matter what I try it does not connect. HELP Please???

I have just updated my iTunes to 11.1.3. I followed all correct steps, restarted my computer etc but now I cannot open iTunes not matter what I try and do.
Very frustrating. Have read the trouble shooting info on Apple website but nothing has worked.
Someone please help. I cannot access any of my music.Open Finder. Go to the "Go" menu in the menu bar. Press and hold Control and click on Library. Go to "Preferences". Find a file named, "com.apple.iTunes.plist" and delete that file. This won't delete your iTunes content. It will reset iTunes. Try it again.

I am running Windows 7 and have tried to install iCloud. No matter what instructions I follow, I still get the error message "This Apple ID is valed but is not an iCloud account." How can I resolved this?
I've tried both. First, I tried on my pc, where iTunes had installed iCloud when it last updated. I have iTunes installed on this computer (and on my iPad and iPhone), but that wasn't the issue.
So I went online, thinking I needed a separate iCloud Apple ID, but it prompted me for my current Apple ID and gave me the message about my ID being "valid" but not an iCloud account," which, lol, was what it had asked me to do in order to create one. My special characters screen for pages is running in the background no matter what I do. It randomly pops up and then goes away. I can't close it even though I have closed pages and restarted my computer. How can I stop this.
Try trashing the .plist with CharacterViewer in its name in Home/Library/Preferences. To get to Home/Library you may need to hold the option key down while you do Finder > Go.

I have tried EVERY suggestion Adobe has made and no matter what, I get the black "Adobe Reader Installer" screen EVERY TIME!! Any suggestions to help me overcome this problem would be appreciated. BTW: I have a Windows 7 Home OS. I prefer FireFox. I have successfully downloaded Adobe Reader using all the major browsers, however it does NOT matter, I am NOT able to actually install Adobe Reader, every time all I get is the black pop-up "Adobe Reader Installer" screen!!!
PS.... I had a previous version on my computer that needed to be updated.... so I uninstalled it because I was having trouble installing the new version.... so even that did not help!!

The window where you create a new track pops up. The one with "software instrument" or "audio" or "drummer" or "external midi" or "guitar of bass" keeps showing up on its own. Then I can choose to "Create" or "cancel" but no matter what I click, it creates a new track, then the process repeats over and over. I now have like 30 piano tracks that I don't want. And it doesn't stop . I'm going mad

Logicalhostname IP wont failover when one member of the cluster dies
Hi There, I've setup a failover cluster with 2 servers. The cluser IP is set up as a logicalhostname and each server has two network cards configured as IPMP groups. I can test the IPMP failover on each server by failing a network card and checkign t
