Windows server 2008 r2 operating system not booting in normal mode after unstalled the virus gaurd

Windows server 2008 r2 operating system is not booting in normal mode after i uninstalled the virus guard in the system. I tried to repair the system but repairing  option not available in server 2008. i can log in to the system only safe mode.
Please help me to solve this issue as soon as possible .I do not have the any system backup with me .

Hi,
Regarding the issue here, please restart the computer and press F8 until you see the
advanced boot options, select start windows normally,
if it starts with no problem, please check if you have the option boot from safe mode checked:
run->type msconfig->tab boot->boot options, check if the
safe boot is selected, if yes please uncheck it. Then restart the computer to check if this problem still exists.
If the system needs repair, please take a look into the below WIKI article, and check the event viewer to see if any errors for further troubleshooting.:

  • Oracle 11g Client for Windows Server 2008 Relase2 Operating Stystem

    Hi,
I am having a server with Operating System as Windows Server 2008 R2 version 64 - bit.
I am using SSRS 2008 which is 64 bit, for retreiving the data from Oracle (which is 11g - 32 bit), I am unable to create data source for Oracle.
I had installed ODAC Components of Oracle 11.1.0.7.20 on the server, but still I am getting the following error:
"The 'OraOLEDB.Oracle.1' provider is not registered on the local machine."
Does any one know how to install Oracle Client 11g on Windows Server 2008 R2 Operating system?

    Helios,
It is wonderful that you are polite and encouraging to new people.
While you are responding, could you explicitly direct people to use the correct forum. This has at least 2 benefits:
    1) Ensures that the person gets the widest possible amount of assistance;
    2) Ensures that the rest of us do not need to waste time on improperly placed questions.
I suggest 'explicitly' since some people do not get the hint, and keep returning to the original thread.
This thread belongs in 'Database - General' or 'Database - Install'.

I am so glad to hear about your success. As you are new to the Mac environment, I will be glad to help you more.
You said: "I can't change the setup yet but i have access". I don't understand what you mean about changing the setup! Please let me know more about that.
I also recommend to use Boot Camp, which allows you to install windows on a partition of your internal hard drive. This has many benefits. First, you can restart your computer and start up in windows. This makes your Mac device a complete windows machine and you gain the most from your hardware when working in Windows. Second, if a problem occures to your Mac OS X, you can restart your machine in Windows and prevent your data from getting lost. Third, you can import the Windows installed on the boot camp partition in to the Mac OS X using VMWare Fusion and work with it as a virtual machine. In this situation, VMWare enables you to work directly with your Windows in the boot camp partition. So it does not create a file package for the virtual machine in OS X.
Regarding the data safety and reliablity, I strongly recommend using Time Machine. You can also set it up to back up your virtual machines or not. This is possible to set up in the Virtual Machine Preferences Page in VMWare Fusion, or in the Time Machine preferences page in the System Preferences app of OS X.
Please don't hesitate to ask any other question. I will be glad to help you.

TCP/IP failed to establish an outgoing connection because the selected local endpoint was recently used to connect to the same remote endpoint. This error typically occurs when outgoing connections are opened and closed
at a high rate, causing all available local ports to be used and forcing TCP/IP to reuse a local port for an outgoing connection. To minimize the risk of data corruption, the TCP/IP standard requires a minimum time period to elapse between successive connections

  • Windows Server 2008 R2 Domain Controller NOT logging EventID 4740

EventID 4740 (account lockout) is not being logged to the event viewer. When searching through the security log there are none to be found. Having accounts locked out and no logging is driving me nuts. Hope someone has run into this before. This is what
    i have checked thus far.
    >Windows Server 2008 R2 Domain Controller
    >Verified the following GPO settings are set and correct:
    >Computer Configuration\Windows Settings\Security Settings\Local Policies\Audit Policy\ all are set for Success & Failure
    >Computer Configuration\Windows Settings\Security Settings\Advanced Audit Configuration\Logon/Logoff) is set for Success and Failure
    >Powershell command Get-Eventlog -log Security -InstanceId 4740 returns no results which makes sense since there are no entries in the security log file.
    >No 4740 entries in the netlogon.log debug file
AD and the LockoutStatus tool show the account is locked out but i still have nothing in the logs.
Anyone have any ideas? From everything i can find online , it appears i have everything set properly.
    Thanks, Chico

  • Windows Server 2008 DC Migration or NOT?

    Greetings fellow Techies & Gurus....
Currently I have a physical Box which is windows 2008 Server STD DC.
What is the best way to transfer the Users & all the necessary setting to Windows 2008 R2? I was thinking should I upgrade the STD to 2008r2 or should I install another Virtual Server which is Windows 2008R2 and make it a DC and let windows 2008 STD
Server DC to populate its configuration and settings to New Windows Server 2008R2 DC.  afterwords to take the windows 2008 STD DC offline, and let the Windows 2008R2 Manage the Network.
Can this be done? If yes.... is there are any documentation available I can go through the same
Basically I do not want the users to feel that there is a upgrade to migration going on and I do not want to interrupt the users as well.
    Your valuable insights are appreciated.
    Thanks
    Nilanga

    1) make sure you have at least _2_ domain controllers at any time.
    2) I think it is easier to promote an aditionnal dc, move the fsmo's and demote the old one. If needed you can re-ip teh new ones to take the ip's of the old ones
    3) yes, there are very nice procedures on how to do these things:

  • Windows Server 2008 backup schedule wizard not showing volumes

    Hi folks,
We are running into issues when attempting to configure a Windows Backup schedule through either running the Backup Schedule wizard or through using the wbadmin utility. While I have previously posted this issue on a separate forum (with no luck) I’ve restructured
this description based on the responses received and am also hoping that this a more suitable forum for the problem we are experiencing.
On running the backup wizard the backup configuration screen shows the backup size to be 0KB for the Full Server option or if I choose ‘Custom’ and go to ‘select backup items’ the volume list is empty. However the later ‘select destination disk’ screen of
the wizard lists all of the disks attached to the server along with the associated volume letters (via clicking the ‘Show All Available Disks’ option).
On the backup wizard reaching the summary stage it then proceeds to format the destination disk. On completion of this format the wizard status then changes to ‘Creating backup schedule’ at which point it then fails with the message “The specified number
    of volumes is invalid”.
Equally running the following wbadmin command:
    wbadmin ENABLE BACKUP -addtarget:{81737a1c-0000-0000-0000-000000000000} -schedule:21:00 -include:c:
    Results in the following error:
“ERROR - One of the source volumes specified cannot be included: c: Please specify source as a volume drive letter or access path (if volume is mounted in a folder). Only volumes on locally attached disks can be backed up.”
The server is a Dell PowerEdge R620 running Windows server 2008SP2 and is operating as expected other than for this windows back issue. Everything appears as normal when I view the disks within the Disk Management Console. Backups used to run on this server
fine before it was migrated from old hardware to new hardware using Doubletake Move. Everything else is running fine since the migration apart from Windows backup so not why it would only be effecting Windows backup. I have also ran the wbadmin ‘delete
catalog’ command to remove reference to the previous backups that were taken.
Is there any other tests that I can run to determine why Windows backup is having trouble seeing the available volumes at the 'Select Backup items' stage but not at the Select Destination' stage? Any help or pointers in the right direction would be very
    much appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Niall

    Hi Mandy,
Thanks for your advise and apologies for my delayed response. I've was on leave for the past two weeks and my colleague (who had been watching this post in my absence)
was nervous about deleting registry entries (:>)..
I have searched for upper and lower filter values defined under the specified 'Class' registry folder and have found there to be no values specified for either:
    "Storage volume shadow copies" at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{533C5B84-EC70-11D2-9505-00C04F79DEAF}
    OR "Storage Volumes" at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{71A27CDD-812A-11D0-BEC7-08002BE2092F}
Happy to share the other values stored under these two keys if they would be of use in helping spot the problem?
The only upperFilters value that I found within the Class registry folder that related to storage was:
"Disk drives" at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4D36E967-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318} which had a REG_MULTI_SZ upperFilters value of 'PartMgr'.
Do you know if this Disk drives upperFilters value is as expected and if should/can I delete it?
Also is there any other tests that I can run to determine why Windows backup is having trouble seeing the available volumes at the 'Select Backup items' stage but not at the Select Destination' stage?
    Thanks,
    Niall

  • An ADO-based application that is compiled in Windows 7 SP1 or in Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 does not run in earlier versions of Windows

I have read many articles about this problem, but I can't really see where the solution is for me.
    I need to compile a Visual C++ program that uses msado15.dll. I have Windows 7 SP1 with Visual Studio 2010. I'm targeting Windows Server 2003, 2008 and 2011.
In the update text in this article: http://blogs.msdn.com/b/psssql/archive/2011/10/03/yes-we-made-a-mistake-and-are-finally-going-to-fix-it.aspx, it says that the fix is published as the article http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2640696. But at other places I
have read that you should not do this update and use the updated msado60.tlb file instead. Where can I find that file, or does it update from "Windows Update"?
I found a "fixed" file called msado60_backcompat.tlb on a blog, after using it it works on WinServer 2003 and 2008 but not on Windows Server 2011.
Any ideas how I should proceed to solve my problem?

    Hi flindbys,
Thank you for posting in the MSDN forum.
Based on your description, I’m afraid that it is not the correct forum for this issue, since this forum is to discuss the VS IDE.
If this issue is related to that blog provided by you, my suggestion is that you could add a comment
here, I think you could get dedicated response there.
In addition, I also found some information like the following contents:

Whether this issue is related to the SQL Server Data Access? If it is related to it, maybe you could post this issue to this forum:
    http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/sqlserver/en-US/home?forum=sqldataaccess
Anyway, since it is not the VS IDE issue, I am moving your question to the moderator forum ("Where is the forum for..?"). The owner of the forum will direct you to a right forum. Thanks for your understanding.

  • Operative system not booting (spinning wheel on blue screen forever)

    Hello,
I've replaced the standard hard drive of my (late 2009) MBP with a Seagate Momentus XT 750, this is an hybrid ssd hard drive.
Lately I've seen that the system started to slow down and spotlight started to rebuild its index.
After the indexing I've decided to reboot  and I've got stuck with a spinning wheel on a blue screen at system startup time.
I've changed the hard disk and replaced it with the original one that still has the original installation and it works!
The weird thing is that if I connect the Seagate Momentus to an usb port using an adapter it also works! I can read all its files with no problem, so I tough the problem might be some damaged block in the part of the disk containing the operative system.
I've launched the Disk Utily app and I've tried to repair the disk and the permissions several times but it still doesn't boot the system.
    Any idea?

    Try a PRAM reset...

    and/or an SMC reset...

Failing this, start up from your Install DVD and run Disc Utility to repair/verify the permissions and the drive itself.

By design.  The memory management algorithms in Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 operating systems were updated to address many file caching problems

  • Windows Server 2008 R2 System Recovery Options - No disks!

    Hi,
    I have a Windows Server 2008 R2 VM running on CITRIX XenCentre v5.6 SP2.
The XenCentre host is a HP ProLiant DL 580 G7.
The VM's C:/ is hosted on a SAN which is controlled by DataCore SANSymphony-V PSP2.
I need to perform some work to resolve an underlying issue with the 2008 VM which requires me to perform a 'System Recovery'. When I do this however I am presented with the attached screen shot which lists no drives to repair.
Looks like 'Load Drivers' is the way to go but what drivers am I supposed to load? Xen drivers? DataCore drivers? Generic drivers? anyone know?

    Hi,
You mentioned that “The System Writer is not showing up when I view vssadmin list writers.”
you may reboot the related services or re-register the writers, please refer to:

  • Windows Operating System "Not Monitored"

Hi, I have seen multiple posts regarding this, and I have tried many things without luck. I thought I'd contribute what helped me. Funnily, I actually fixed the problem while posting my question. But I thought this may be useful to anyone else with the same
    issue.
    We have SCOM 2012 7.0.8560.0
We have the Windows Server Operating System MP installed, 6.0.7061.0
3 servers are reporting that the Windows Operating System is "Not Monitored".
The 3 servers which are not being monitored all appear to be Windows Server 2012 R2 operating system.
    What we've tried
Uninstall SCOM agent from the SCOM console. Remove SCOM agent folder. Reboot. Reinstall SCOM Agent from SCOM Console (push install). install completes successfully.
    Enable Proxy Discovery
    Reboot SCOM Servers
Ensured the SCOM service account has Admin rights on the server
    Disabled Windows Firewall
Set User Account Control to minimum
Verified DNS (DNS functions 100% in our environment, with scavenging every 7 days)
SCOM Database Grooming runs every 7 days
The problem has existed for weeks\months, so this is not a DNS or Database grooming issue (unless there is something lingering in the database?)
Re-Ran the "download SCOM Management Packs" from the console - all MP's are up to date
After reading through the release notes of the Windows Server Management Pack, I searched my discovery rules to perhaps see if we had disabled the Server 2012 discoveries, or something careless like that. To my amazement,
there we NO Windows Server 2012 R2 Discoveries present in our environment! This confused me greatly, since we are running the latest version of the Windows Server management pack.
For some reason, it appears that updating your MP's from the console wizard does not pull this down.
    After manually downloading
the Windows Server Operating System management pack, and installing it manually, everything started to work.
I'm not sure why the SCOM wizard doesn't do this, but this has kept me busy for days, for something so easily missed.
I suggest MS enhances the SCOM "update MP" downloads to pull down an entire management pack if it says it was "imported successfully". I now wonder what else I think it "up to date", which may have rules missing without
    my knowledge.
    Cheers

    Hi,
It is really nice of you to share this, this will help others who encounter the same issue.
And as far as I know, we need to manually download the Windows opearting system management pack to management group, then we can monitor windows operating system:
