Windows setup reports "No images available" when trying to install 8.1 w/ Bootcamp.

Trying to install 8.1 Pro on my iMac, running 10.10.2 Yosemite. Followed all the Bootcamp instructions, used a USB to boot the ISO image of Windows. Everything runs smoothly on the OS side, but when the system restarts I hit a strange error. After entering serial number, I'm taken to this screen.
This is my first time trying bootcamp and my first time since XP trying to use windows, so any help is much appreciated!

  • Flash Player reports conflict with MSN when trying to Install

I am using Windows 7 (64) bit OS.  I was trying to view an ESPN video when the screen displayed "You Need to have Adobe Flash Player to view this content"  "Click here to continue"  This takes you to the Adobe Flash Player Down Load  for version 11.6.602.171.  Under Windows 7 Control Panel, Program & Features, Adobe Flash Player 11.6.602.171 is listed as installed.   I tried to download the current version and the program was downloaded.  Then I went through the install routine.  When the progress bar got to 50% it stopped and reported that MSN needs to be exited.  I closed MSN but the message came back to exit MSN.  I have tried this several times but always get to the same place and cannot complete the installation.  As a result, I cannot view quite a few internet videos.  How do I get Windows 7 and the internet sites I want to watch videos on to recognize I have the latest version of Adobe Flash Player?

Although I had closed MSN and it was no longer shown as a running application,  the msn.exe was still running when I went to the Process Tab.  When I stopped the msn.exe process, the installation worked flawlessly.  I went back to ESPN to view the video that I wanted to see and it also played without any further issues.  Thank you very much for this information.  I have had this problem for quite awhile but finally got so frustrated that I decided to contact the forum.  I had no idea that even if an application was ended, a process could still be running.  Thanks again!!

  • Getting "setup.exe has stopped working" message when trying to install labview 2011 or 2012 on a windows 7 machine

I am getting a "setup.exe has stopped working" message when trying to install labview 2011 or 2012 on a windows 7 machine. I already tried running setup.exe as an administrator with the same results. I have Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5.1 installed on the affected machine. Could this be the cause of this issue? Or does someone know the root cause of such error?
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

Hi - are you getting it at the start of installation, during or after 100% progress has finished?
Is it just LabVIEW you're installing, or is it drivers too, in which case, what was the last large package that was installing at the time?
This could be caused by the NVIDIA chipset driver :

  • Photoshop cs4 access denied when trying to install from disc in Windows 7 64bit.

Photoshop cs4 access denied when trying to install from disc in Windows 7 64bit. I tried it in
safe mode and it starts to install but get an error there as well.
    What do I do?

So when you put the disk in it won't run correctly? When the disk is inserted you should have a window pop up with 2 options. 1 to install and the other to see what is on the disk. Choose to explore or open the disk. Go to the CS4 folder where the photoshop .exe file is (that will run the setup), right click on the .exe file and choose run as Admin and it should start. See if it will install. If not then read below.
I am not sure how far you got in the install before so chances are you will have to run the CS4 cleanup utility. 2 levels to run at but don't use 1 or 2 just type in the number 3.
    http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cs4clean.html
You may need to run the windows installer cleanup utility too
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290301
Before you try to reinstall the software ensure that adobe reader is not installed. If it is remove it. It has caused issues in the past with vista and CS4 installs.
Also turn off windows Defender and any anti-virus software. You can keep UAC on in Windows 7.
During the CS4 install at 90 percent it will almost stop and may take 5 to 10 mins to finish. This is normal. What a pain huh......
    After install is finished, reboot
After reboot, go to the CS4 64 bit or 32 bit icon (depends on 32 or 64 bit Windows 7) in start area, right click on CS4 64 bit (if you have windows 7 64 bit) and choose properties, compatibility tab and then check run as Admin at the bottom area. Hit apply, ok to close out.
Now start CS4 and run the updater.

to make 320MB partition "system"  and the rest of the partition to Windows 8.1 "28.8 GB"
Like what happen in the VirtualBox

I recieve the following error message when trying to install Quicktime for Windows "Error writing to file C:/Program Files/QuickTime/QTSystems/QuickTimeCheck.ocx. Verify that you have access to that directory."  I just trying to get the latest version of iTunes.  Thanks

"Error writing to file C:/Program Files/QuickTime/QTSystems/QuickTimeCheck.ocx. Verify that you have access to that directory."
That one's consistent with disk/file damage. The first thing I'd try with that is running a disk check (chkdsk) over your C drive.
XP instructions in the following document: How to perform disk error checking in Windows XP
Select both Automatically fix file system errors and Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors, or use chkdsk /r (depending on which way you decide to go about doing this). You'll almost certainly have to schedule the chkdsk to run on startup. The scan should take quite a while ... if it quits after a few minutes or seconds, something's interfering with the scan.
Does the chkdsk find/repair any damage? If so, can you get an install to go through properly afterwards?
