Windows Sound for iTunes (odd question)

Whenever I plug in my iTouch, the computer wants nearly mute all other noise.
For example, im in the middle of a video game. I plug in iTouch. I then have to alt-tab back to the desktop just to bring the volume bar back up to 100%.
Ive disabled the notification noise Windows makes whenever you plug/unplug a device, but it still wants to the bring all other programs down to 10%ish.
Any suggestions?

Given that both machines are PowerPC G5-based it's clear that the dual 2.3GHz XServe will outperform the dual 1.8GHz PowerMac for CPU-intensive tasks.
So at that point other factors come into play - for example the form factor (do you have a rack for the XServe to sit in?)

So it sounds like you are trying to burn a DVD with photos on it so the photos can be either transferred to or displayed on a Windows PC, is that correct?
For the purposes of this I am going to assume you are using iPhoto '11.
Gather the photos you want to burn to DVD in one album in iPhoto. This is not absolutely necessary but it sure makes things easier for me.
Select that album, then go to the File menu and select Export...
In the dialog that shows up, select the File Export tab. Select the setting you want to use for export. Click the Export button.
Another dialog will show up. Set the location to Desktop and click the New Folder button. Name the folder something nice and descriptive and click the Create button.
Click the OK button. Quit iPhoto as the rest of this work will be done in the Finder.
You will now have a folder on your desktop with that nice descriptive name. Find it and select it. Go to the File menu and from it select Burn "Descriptive folder name" to Disc...
Insert a blank DVD when prompted.
Let the finder complete the work and eject the disc afterwards.
That's it. Best of luck.

How do i add a library in windows 7 for itunes

Last year when i download itunes i didnt need to inlcude a folder in the library and other things but this time when i downloaded itunes due to a new laptop it and an itune thing said " You may choose an existing itunes library or create a new one."

Thank you for your answer. It took some time to respond, since I do not have too much time experimenting.
Although I did not understand how to make a certain user account a member of Backup Operators, I managed to disable UAC. Firstly, I created an new admin account and then logged in with this account and used two lines of reg commands from the command line
as I found them on a website when I searched for ´how to disable UAC in windows 7').
Then I opened RegeditX. I selected a register branch, went to ´Permissions' and added the new admin account and gave this account full permissions (= elevation of privileges). Next thing was to make the (for me) necessary changes to the register.
Now, almost all changes that I wanted to make (replacements: 'c:\progr' into 'd:\prog') could be made. Previously I already copied the user folder to the D-drive from Linux. Some could not be changed (mostly keys regarding Internet Explorer or with a DLL
reference, maybe because these keys are in use or extra protected somehow, or something else?). Further I made another register change re the user path.
When I restarted I could select a user, but then windows just provided me with a temporary profile.This was true for all accounts.
So I deleted all users to make new user accounts (I made backups several times). The problem stayed the same. Then I saw some extra accounts (like public, default, etc) in the backup and moved them back to the D:\users folder.
That helped a lot. One weird thing is that every time I log into an account I got a textfile ´Desktop.ini' opened automatically. I would be nice if this can be prevented somehow...
I hope this is enough to let windows think that the user dirs are on d-drive and that I do not run into trouble...

HT202662 Authorizing my windows computer for iTunes

When I press "alt" in order to bring up the correct menu to authorize iTunes on my windows computer I get a bar at the top of the computer saying, "Turning on iTunes menu for windows 8 and 7 - iTunes - internet explorer" but nothing ever happens....no menu appears. I have also tried pressing control B with no result How the heck to I authorize my computer??? Thx for any help.

You need to be in the iTunes application when you do that.

the sound on my desktop itunes is all fuzzy i just upgraded to itunes 10 but iprefer my old itunes it was more reliable . anyone know a SIMPLEfix for this appauling software update?

It only seems to happen with iTunes 8, though. Not any of the earlier versions. I've been trying to find a solution for days and I've been looking at a lot of apple support discussions, but no solution has been found yet. I tried to update it once, and I had to reinstall my whole eMac with the original formatting discs! Do you have an eMac? Because if you have an iMac, then it will work.

Cover art view in windows 7 for itunes 11.1.5.5. No large view option?

In version 11.1.5.5 I can no longer view artwork of the song playing in a large format. I used to be able to ctrl left click and get the artwork in adjustable size but mini player max size is tiny! Can I get artwork in large size now?

I have a 16GB Nano with touch screen and unfortunately it will not hold all of my music. I was wondering if it was possible to create Genius, Smart and Regular playlists and have iTunes sync only those playlists and ONLY the songs contained in those playlists? If so how do you do this?

I just bought a powermac g5 and up until now ive been using my windows laptop for itunes and my ipod, how do i transfer my 11 Gbs of music?? or am i screwed?

HI, I had this same problem, and asked here how to fix it. The way I did it in the end was to follow Dr V's advice (hope you don't mind me pasting it in here as it was good advice)
By default windows will store your iTunes music in My Documents/My Music/iTunes. Simply go to the iTunes music folder and copy it. Either burn the folder onto a blank cd or DVD or if you have an external drive copy the folder to the external drive. Then transfer the music onto the Music folder on your mac. Open iTunes and point iTunes to your music folder and add your new music.

To the best of my knowledge, Windows is not capable of setting a specific sound card based on the app being used, it's all or nothing.
Try a google search or search the Microsoft site.

MS does not care! This seems to be a general problem with Windows 8 that a number of drivers that used to work with Windows 7 now do not work, ie. iPhone to iTunes, HTC to HTCSync, Samsung to Kies etc. I need this connection to work in order to syncronize with Outlook and my iTunes library.

I downloaded ios7 and now have no sound when I play music on itunes nor do I have it when I try movies on Netflix. I get sound IF I plug in earbuds, but no sound if unplugged! NO SOUND! I get sounds for texts, calls, etc, but nothing else. HELP!

I used Mpeg Streamclip last night to take the .mov files to DV, but same thing I put into iDVD and made a disk image. Once all done i opened the image and the videos were there, but no audio.
This first dvd had 2 of the videos in it the totaled about 90mins. I will try using the higher format. Also with having MPEG streamclip now, I guess I should go back to the .WMV files and try to converting form them? instead of the .mov files.
