Windows Surface RT use with Verizon UBS760

I've recently purchased a Windows Surface RT and would like to use my Verizon USB760 for remote data access when I'm traveling. Much in the same way as I use my laptop.
Is there an app that allows this? If not, how do I get cellular access for my Windows RT Surface?
Thanks

    Oddbody,
Let's get you internet access you your Windows Surface RT. The Windows Surface RT is not compatible with the Verizon USB760. If you have a wireless device with mobile hotspot you can connect your Windows Surface RT via Wifi. I hope this helps. Let us know if you need further assistance!

  • Best place to find a used iphone 4s to use with Verizon.....

My husband would like to upgrade his cell phone to a smart phone before our contract is up.  Where is the best place to look for a used smartphone (either iphone 4s or Motorolla Razr) that can be used with Verizon? Also, does it need a sim card? Can I buy a sim card separately at a Verizon store?  Any help will be greatly appreciated!!!

On the suggestion of a coworker (his kids are very irresponsible), I went to The Cell Phone Nerd on eBay.
8 months into my upgrade, my BlackBerry Z10 wasn't meeting my needs and I wanted an iPhone.  Verizon was either going to charge me the full price to upgrade or have me add an extra line and data package.
I got the 4s Direct Buy on eBay.  It was locked for Verizon Wireless.  I called *228 to activate it and had no problems with my contract.
Let me know if you need more info.

Can iPad 2 model MC775LL/A be used with Verizon?

Nope......AT&T and Verizon do not use the same LTE technology.

  • Looking for a proper Windows version to use with Bootcamp/Parallels

My birthdays in a few days and I figured I'd treat myself to a little present. However, I'm not very tech savy and unsure of which version of Windows would run best with my 15' Intel Macbook Pro (late 2008-2009).
I have found a copy of Windows 7 Home Premium on amazon (listed below)
    http://www.amazon.com/Microsoft-Windows-7-Home-Premium/dp/B002DHGMK0
I'd just like to know if this would work, or if their are any things I should take into consideration beforehand. Here are my computer specs.
    Model Name:          MacBook Pro
      Model Identifier:          MacBookPro5,3
Processor Name:          Intel Core 2 Duo
      Processor Speed:          2.66 GHz
      Number of Processors:          1
      Total Number of Cores:          2
      L2 Cache:          3 MB
      Memory:          4 GB
      Bus Speed:          1.07 GHz
      Boot ROM Version:          MBP53.00AC.B03
    Thank you!

Save your money. Get the System Builder of same from Amazon for $99.
Or look at other post I just made and get Windows 8 for free and works perfectly fine.

  • Which windows bit to use with parallels

I'm a Newby, and I"m looking to use Parallels with my new Mac Pro 13" duo processor I7.  So, I need to get Parallels and was looking at a Windows 7 OEM disk.  Never have thought much about 32 or 64 bit, what's the difference and is one better then the other for everyday computing?

Hi  for what it is worth ...
I am using a MacBook Pro with 8G ram, and due to some of the applications I have to run for work, I run Parallels and Windows 7 64 bit
I find the Windows platform VERY stable.  I went for Parallels, as I want to run Windows inside my Mac environment, and bit not want to dual boot i.e. have to shut down programs to switch from one to the other.
All the updates work very well, all the applications I run in the Windows environment are stable, and cause me no problems at all.
Everything on the MAC runs well, with no effect on the processes.  When I plug anything into the USB ports, I am then given the option if I want teh device to run in the Mac environment or the Windows,
    Hope that helps

  • Ipod nano won't sync with windows after being used with a mac

how can i sync my ipod with my new windows based laptop after using an old mac for years? it says it will erase my library if i sync.

Connecting to a new computer will always erase your device first. But you can copy your music bought in iTunes before, if you disable autosync in iTunes/Edit/Preferences/Devices, right click on your iPod in the device list and choosing "transfer purchases".
After your songs are copied, let iTunes set it up again and sync the music back again.

  • New computer (windows 7) connection problem with Verizon DSL

I just bought a new computer to replace a dead one.  I took the old one away and plugged the new one into the Verizon cable.  I have Verizon DSL, no wireless, no network at home, just a computer and a Westell modem.
On the new computer, I have a successful internet connection in that I can reach Google.  I can conduct a Google search, but when I click on a search result I cannot reach that site.  I CAN successfully send and receive Gmail.  I CANNOT connect to Verizon's website, Amazon, Washington Post, Ebay, or most other sites.  What happens when I try is a small box comes up in the browser window saying "Connecting to [name of site]" and the in-progress thing goes around and around.  This will go on for as long as I let it (more than 1/2 hour), with no timeout or failure message -- just an empty browser window.  Results are the same in Explorer and Firefox.
I hooked a borrowed computer into my Verizon line and the internet connection works fine to any site I try (I'm on it now).  Verizon techs have also done a line test and it's fine.
I have taken the new computer (running Windows 7) back to the store 3 times.  They have hooked it into an Earthlink DSL line there and have shown me they have no difficulty whatsoever going to any of the sites that are not working for me at home.  They say the problem MUST be something to do with my Verizon connection.
I've called Verizon tech support 3 times now.  They say it's not them, and there's nothing they can do -- but their Remote Assistant software isn't able to connect IN to my machine, just as I can't connect OUT to the Verizon site.  I have asked for a more up-to-date modem and was refused.
I was tempted to just upgrade to FIOS but Verizon is being so unhelpful I am ready to bail on Verizon entirely.  Before I do, can anyone suggest what might be going on here?

I bought an HP computer at Staples and had the same problem.  HP and Verizon could find no problems.  Verizon said the would send me a new modem to see if that fixed the problem. The problem was corrected after Verizon sent me a new modem for free.

  • IPAD use with Verizon Email --

When I send emails from my Verizon account, using my IPAD, the sent messages do not appear when I access my Verizon Account from a Desktop.
How can I properly sync the IPAD with my Verizon Account so real time information (viewing sent and read messages) can be seen from both the IPAD and Desktop?

Since Verizon's email is a POP service, the folders are not sync'd.   If it were IMAP (like you can do with Gmail), then this would be possible.   So, you can tweak the settings on the iPad to leave content on the server for received messages (this will allow you to see things in both places) but the sent messages folder will never be in sync.

  • Using with Verizon broadband access?

We are using Verizon's broadband acess, which plugs into a USB port. The airport doesn't transmit that for our house network. Can I set it up to work?
    Thanks- Stan

Duane- thanks for the answer- the verizon is more like a cell phone card that plugs into a usb port. We were using satellite (Hughesnet) before, which looked more like a modem that cable or dsl would use- that worked fine with the airport. Verizon requires an access program to be running, so I'm not sure the airport can work with that.

  • Im looking for the cheapest and smallest transport control surface to use with logic 9(and X when i upgrade my lappy). usb.

Ive seen the presonus faderport but there looks to be lots of problems? is this still the case or has it been fixed?
Or have you any info on godens...if there even is?
    cheers.x

If I could make a suggestion. I too have the Axiom49 and love it. I would not get rid of it. But for control of Logic, I use the Presonus FaderPort. It works flawlessly. Plug it into a USB port, add the Mackie HUI controller in the preferences, set the input and output (of that control surface) to the FaderPort, and your done. Motorized fader, limitless pan knob, etc. You may want to look into this little gem. It will be less expensive than a new MIDI controller, that's for sure.

  • Do i need to buy a Mac Specific version of Windows to use with Bootcamp?

Hi i want to buy Windows 8.1 to install with Bootcamp cause i need some software that is only available for Windows.
I also plan to use VMWare Fusion so i can use one operating system or the other or even both at the same time.
My dilema is that when i got to download it it gives me 2 choices one says:
"MAC users only. This product is intended to be used in conjunction with third party virtualization software so that you can run Windows on your Mac."
And the other is specified as being for Windows.
So is there any difference between them in terms of how it will perform or what programs are included? Does it matter which one i get?
I have never heard of this choice before and i know people that have baught the normal Windows version for use with Bootcamp.
Thanks for reading any answers appreciated.

Vmware Fusion and Parallels allow the use of a Boot Camp installation as their respective guest operating system. There is no additional installation of Windows required nor is there a second licence required. The computer has only one installation of Windows. The virtual machine allows access to that installation.
I have used this configuration for years and have never required an additional licence. The Fusion and Parallels sites detail how to do this. Of course Windows will say it needs to be activated in both Boot Camp and virtual machine when first run after already having been run in the other. But the vm sites say how to handle the activation request.
All it takes is visiting the Windows licensing/activation site and when asked respond that Windows is only installed on a single computer. The activation site will issue a new licence. It may take a call to the automatic licensing call number you will be provided with if the site activation does not work for you.

  • I already have an iPhone with Verizon, my upgrade isn't until next June 2014. Can I buy the iPhone 5s from Apple and still use it with verizon?

I dropped my phone in some water and I don't have apple care. It's been about a week and I'd rather put the money into fixing my iPhone 4 to an iPhone 5s. But I'm not sure if I can just buy the phone from Apple and still use it with verizon. Can someone help?

Yes, Apple will sell you an iPhone you can use with Verizon.

  • What prepaid service can I use my verizon Iphone 5 on

Recently about a month ago there was a commercial on tv that was a no contract Cellphone Carrier that advertised I could take my iPhone5 to their service.  Unfortunately through my infinite wisdome I thought I had bookmarked their page and I had not.  I was hoping that someone here can help me find their service as I am tired of Verizons BS games like trying to say I was in Canada Mexico and IL all that the same time according to their system.  Then their wonderful rep after being told not to changed my data package from 6 gb to 2 gb causing me to go over my data and when I called them to find out why I was over my data I was told I could not go back to the package I had as it was no longer offered as I was getting the 6 gb for 20 bucks a mo and the 2 gb was 20 bucks a mo as well and for me to go back ot it I was looking at 60 bucks.  I could swear the company's name started with an A I know its a long shot but they said I could use the verizon Iphone with them and they just had to ship me a new sim card for it and it was good to go.  Please help as I need to get my phone working again my mother has cancer and this is the only way I can communicate with her right now is over my phone.

The Verizon iphone can only be used with Verizon in the U.S.
I have a iPhone 5 that I use on Verizon which is CDMA. I can also use that phone on any GSM carrier in the U.S. and abroad. The phone is not locked to Verizon. Even with Verizon I need a Verizon sim. I paid full price for the phone to get an unlocked phone.
