Windows Update for Windows Surface RT 8.1

Hello,
I have been through some forums, but can't find a definite answer regarding updating Surface RT 8.1
We have some Windows Surface RT 8.1 devices, as RT they are non-domain. My query is:
1. Is there a WSUS (or System Center config manager) which can handle updates for Windows RT devices like surface?
2. Since we have more then 60 devices, is there a way we can install the updates without having to connect each of them to the internet and downloading the updates separately.

Thanks for the tips...none of them worked but I found the key to finding what works through the posts...first of all, it was not as simple as going into the permissions and turning mic and webcam on - they were both on. I then was trying to follow the other post about reinstalling the drivers but had to first figure out how to do this - i.e. where they could be found. During this process I went followed the following tip:
Open Windows Sound Control Panel and click on the Communications tab. Select there the appropriate option for what Windows should do when communications activity is detected.
What I found was the microphone that I was trying to deinstall was showing there are the default and when I went to test it, I noted that on this tab, it was down to 0 volume. I moved the volume to the max, tested it and then went into skype and voila...it worked!
What is irritating about all of this - guess it is real life - we all have problems and the fixes are in many cases different. At any rate, thanks to this forum I was able to fix my problem!

Microsoft all ready has an update for Windows Phone 8.1 Verizon customers still don't have WP 8.1. UGH!

Microsoft has all ready released an update to Windows Phone 8.1. Us Verizon customers don't even have WP 8.1. *** Verizon? My contract with Verizon is up in November this is the tipping point. I am not going to renew my contract. I will just buy the phone out right and sign up for Straight Talk. Then I don't need to have the "Nanny service provider (Verizon)" telling me when I am able to obtain a device update. Thanks for nothing Verizon.

On one side, I can understand that maybe (and that's a BIG maybe) Verizon wants to make sure they have enough data (pardon the pun) regarding the successful adaptation of the update for it's customers in order to make sure everything goes smoothly. However, I find that Verizon likes to keep customers in the dark regarding time frames. It's interesting to see on some of the similar titles message boards entries on this topic have Verizon monitors ready to wipe out entries if they violate terms of service on the forums. But, when asked directly about time frames for Windows updates, you either get a link to some Verizon news page (which is of no help), or nothing at all. A number of people called Verizon customer service and get varied answers like: "Sometime this summer", "Soon", or even an "I don't know, they don't even tell us either"...which is the answer I got one time. Very discouraging. I had a choice between the Windows Phone, or a Samsung Galaxy phone. I chose Windows because of it's features. Beginning to regret it now, since support for it on Verizon appears to be dismal at best.

I suspect if you're trying to open a file in 08 that's been opened in 09 the file has been updated to 09 and will not open in 08.

I switched on my PC and there was an update for realplayer. Since then firefox will not load. It is running according to Task Manager. I've downloaded a another copy of the programme using IE but whilst it loaded as a programme, does not open a window.

Helps if I give the correct link ! <br/>The press shift button appears to still work, but the option to start in safe mode from the programs listing of a standard install I do not think exists anymore.
Safe mode will start from a command line, (or a shortcut) and in some circumstances you may need to enter the full path name on a command or shortcut detailed instructions are at http://kb.mozillazine.org/Safe_mode
Remember (at least at this stage) do not make changes when you get the options list, just click on the continue button.
If you think that RealPlayer is causing the problem you could uninstall that for now.
Firefox recent versions are 3.6 4.0 (and 5.0 in beta). There is some debate as to whether creating new profiles or re-installing Firefox is the simplest method of troubleshooting and solving some of these problems, personally I use multiple profiles and multiple versions of Firefox, and tend to forget the required procedures are less than straightforward. For now at least try [[safe mode]] again.

Hi mcclausky, you may need to manually remove a policy setting from the registry. You also should scan for malware that might have created this problem.

I have been updating my PSE since 10. Recently I purchased PSE13 as I didn't see an update for my 12. I was changing to a new laptop as my old laptop had been patched and worked and was showing signs of giving out. It was a Window's 7OS. My new one is a Windows 8 OS so I bought the 13 and downloaded it on the new laptop. Our desktop had died so I downloaded the 13 on the new desk computer also. Not thinking I downloaded 13 on my old laptop as I hope to get it patched up enough to be a backup for my photography. When I tried to activate it I realized that I had downloaded it too often. I didn't know you could only use it on two computers. Learn something new every day.. Any way I removed it and now my PSE 12 does not seem to be working. Now it could be something that I did or something that is an issue with the laptop. this laptop has all the previous editions on board as I always tried to update, except for the year I got a really good deal on Black Friday. I also notice that the new laptop has a copy of PSE 12 in the program list. To my knowledge I have never deactivated any of my PSE's except the extra 13 downloaded. Bottom line, do I need to go in and deactivate previous PSE versions and removed them from my computer? I could certainly use the space and secondly, can I deactivate the PSE 12 and then go back and reacitivate it and install it again on the old laptop or the desktop, whichever I deside would be the most appropriate place for the newer program. For the PSE 12 since it is an updater for 11, does the 11 still need to be on the laptop? thanks for anyone who can understand what I am trying to say and can advise me as to my next move. ITunes Update for Windows Vista 64 bit

Does anybody know when this is going to be released. I got an iPhone and can't sync it with the latest version of Windows Vista. The friendly staff at AT&T forgot to tell me that I would not be able to use my iPhone until iTunes came out with an update for Windows Vista.

Click here and follow the instructions. You may need to completely remove and reinstall iTunes and all related components, or run the process multiple times; this won't normally affect its library, but that should be backed up anyway.

Error message after updating for Windows XP

I just tried to do an update for my Windows XP but now it is saying AdiADID_AcquireMatchSlotif Necessary could not be located in the dynamic link library iAdCore.dll?
Has anyone had this message before? I completely uninstalled I-tunes and tried to reinstall but still get this message...also getting "Windows error 127".

Should I install those updates or should I keep the original drivers?

Windows Update has now another update for "Intel Corporation Graphics Adapter WDDM1.1" and still no updates on the Lenovo site.
So I tried the the drivers from Windows Update and it seems that every thing is still working fine.

The same way it was done in every previous version.
Connect the device to the computer.
Right click on the device in iTunes and select Transfer Purchases.
Why would you lose any content by syncing with iTunes?
Is this not the computer that the device is normally synced with?

7.8 - The last update for current windows phones?

As WP8 has been announced, will 7.8 be the last update for the current generation of windows phone?

It has been mentioned that it will have the start screen of WP8. It seems like a consolation for not giving the WP8 update. I understand that the hardware won't support WP8 but it is also natural that their focus will shift to WP8 and which means that there won't be further updates for the current gen.
I'm not upset over something a petty thing like mobile phone but it is sad that the continuous exciting development of WP7 will now stop. It hasn't even been a year since I bought this phone and when I bought this phone, I expected it to be one of nokia's leading handsets competing with androids and iOS. That is why I spent my money while compromising many basic features which I expected to get in further updates.
Nokia is simply asking to BUY new WP8 phones and those who have bought WP7 will obviously feel cheated.
