Windows vista bluescreen message

how to fix an attempt to write to read only memory in vista. i got the blue screen because of this action

Hi @kingpin300800 ,
Thank you for visiting the HP Support Forums and Welcome. I have looked into your issue about your HP G60-125NR Notebook PC and issues with a writing to read only material. It might help to know what you were trying to Write too.
You can do a system restore. System restore will help if something automatically updated and did not go well on the Notebook.
When performing a System restore please note remove any and all USB devices. Disconnect all non-essential devices as they can cause issues.
Thanks.

Try this first. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.

  • Trying to redownload Acrobat 7 Professional on Windows Vista:  error message

The error message reads:  "Error 1304 Error writing to file C\Programs files\ Adobe\ Acrobat 7.0\ Active X\GbDetect.dll.  Verify that you have access to that directory"  Does anyone know how to deal with this message?

Have you checked to see if Acrobat version 7 will even work with Windows Vista?
HOW ADOBE PRODUCTS SUPPORT WINDOWS VISTA
Acrobat 7 will not work with MS Office 2010. If you have MS Office 2010, you can not use any Acrobat product reliably to create PDFs. You will have to wait for the next version of Acrobat.

  • Itunes will not install on windows vista (error message)

I just got an ipod and am new to this kind of device. I tried to download the itunes from the apple ipod start page. The itunes download ok except for the itunes application, in which it says it can't install the itunes application then it ends with "error 50". I would have to attempt to download again to re-read the error message to be exact. Any suggestion will help thanks.

Praise God - I found the solution after hours of work: (1) Uninstall all Apple programs (itunes, Quicktime, Bonjour, .....); (2) Go to "Common Files" and delete all Apple files - this might be difficult for some are locked from you - you may have to change the "Owner" of the file in order to delete it - if that doesn't work "Rename the Apple Follder to something like Apple Old - that's like deleting it.  Then download 10.5 from Apple and away you go - yippee.

  • TS3212 Cannot install iTunes to my PC running Windows Vista. Message "The installer has insufficient privileges to access this directory....Log on as administrator." I am logged on as administrator. I am attempting to install from download by right-clicki

I've had iTunes on my PC forever. Because recent updates have aborted with the message:"The installer has insufficient privileges to access this directory... Log on as administrator," I am now attempting to download a fresh copy from the Apple website. Same message! I am logged on as administrator. I can download, then attempt to run by right-clicking on the installer and selecting, "Run as administrator" but that gets me only to the same point (and message) as attempting to install directly from the internet. I've never seen this message with any other download. What gives?

What's the precise name of the directory being mentioned? (Give the full file path, please.)

  • Adobe Acrobat 5.0 not compatible with Windows Vista

On installing this software on my new Windows Vista, incompatibility message says I need to install kernel-mode print driver. Where can I get this from. No luck with the Adobe website technical support!

Then you will need to purchase an upgrade to the current version 8.1.
Note that Acrobat Standard would be a downgrade; to retain all your
current features you'd need Acrobat Professional.
Note that there was no product called Acrobat Writer, if you want to
be exact. And you would normally have only one of "Acrobat" and
"Acrobat Reader". To make it even more confusing, "Acrobat Reader" was
    renamed "Adobe Reader".

  • Comparing OS X Leopard to Windows Vista...

I saw Windows Vista for the first time this weekend and while the first thing I noticed was that many of the features were taken straight from Mac (ex: Expose or the Apple+Tab feature) there was one thing that I noticed Vista had, that Mac did not - and it surprised me.
    Transparent frames around application windows:
    http://www.microsoft.com/library/media/1033/windows/images/products/windowsvista /features/details/screenshot_windowsflip.jpg
Well... being a visual person, I was quite drawn to this feature - it was pleasing to the eye, and I thought "How cool would my Mac desktop look with this feature!"
So I was wondering - is there anything on the Mac that can set up application windows similarly to the ones on Windows Vista?

LoL - yeah... I'm not sure what caused me to click w/ it so much - I guess just having a frame around the application window made it seem a little cleaner. I also liked how their version of Expose could fan out *shifty eyes*
No worries though - I'm still Mac through and through lol - I enjoy not having to worry too much about viruses or bugs
I have both Leopard and Vista 64-bit Ultimate on this MBP. Both work fine. I tend to see beyond the desktop, being a *nixer at heart, but I have none of the complaints with either OS that many others report. In fact Apple does not yet support the 64-bit Vista, but it runs fine just the same after dl-ing some drivers directly from the manufacturers.

  • Windows Vista, Itunes 10.7, ipod Classic, scan and fix message - why?

I am trying to connect my wife's Ipod Classic to our Windows Vista computer.  I get a Scan and Fix Message for the Ipod from Windows.  I don't let it scan and click continue.  Itunes is frozen and won't recognize the ipod.  This has happened since upgrading to Itunes 10.7.  Also Itunes is choppy in playing all video content since upgrading to Itunes 10.7.
I have checked system requirements and driver upgrades.  So far I have no fix.  One site recommended turning off WiFi sync for all devices in Itunes.  But of course the device must be connected, and mine won't connect.  All my itunes video is languishing.  :-(

Wi-Fi sync won't apply since you have an iPod Classic and it doesn't contain any Wi-Fi hardware.
To get rid of the Scan and Fix error, see this page: http://www.yourlocaltech.com/resolve-vista-scan-and-fix-error-when-plugging-in-i pod-or-other-devices/
    We'll start there for now.

  • ITunes won't install on Windows Vista 64-bit : Error Message

I got my dad an iPod Mini for Christmas. I've been trying to install iTunes onto his computer so that he can download music and all that stuff on his own. It is not downloading for me. Quicktime downloads, but I get an error for iTunes.

  • How can I print emails without losing the right side of message Windows Vista 6.0 Photosmart C6830

When I print email messages, right side of message lines do not print (run out of space) on a Photosmart C6830 using Windows Vista Home Version 6.0.  Have tried highlighting message to print & choosing (selection) in print window - does not solve problem.

The print spooler is a windows service and is required to print. I would hazard a guess you can not print with any application.
What I am saying is I think your windows instalation has a problem, not Thunderbird.
