Windows vista Error response-PLEASE HELP

Recently purchased a new computer w/Vista. Problem is that I couldn't transfer my songs from my old computer, so decided to use IGADGET to transfer from my IPOD. Error:retrieving the COM CLASS FACTORY for component w/CLSID. Please help if you have any idea how I can fix the error. I've installed Itunes 7.11 and reinstalled and it keeps happening.

I don't know about the originator, but I still require assistance. The help link didn't solve my issue, so further help would be welcomed.
I have Vista Ultimate (came with new computer), with the UAC turned off (it was interfering with Microsoft Money). I get the same popup error as noted before, and I've done the regsvr32 on vbscript.dll multiple times. I'm on an admin account, I've used an admin command window, and I've even tried running the iTunes setup as admin, as well as in compatibility mode as XP SP2.
I thought maybe my existing iTunes 7.0 install was interfering, so I tried to remove it via Control Panel, and I got the exact same error. So I can't remove what I have and I can't install the upgrade.
The only good news is that my iPod Photo finally started synching with the computer, if only in manual mode. I can't burn CDs however.

Does sfc repair any files? If so, does your iTunes start launching properly again afterwards?

You asked what I meant about saving the installer on your PC.
When you go to the iTunes download page:

And click on download, you should be offered the choice of running the installer or saving it. You need to click on save and then choose a folder on you PC where you want it saved. But I think you already did that.
After the installer file - iTunessetup.exe - is save on your computer, you double click on it to run it.
It's very odd that the installer fails at different stages. usually when the installation fails, it is at a specific stage and usually generates an error message.
I am afraid I am mystified. Have you had any other problems with your PC which might suggest a general problem not specific to iTunes?
The only other suggestion I have is to download a fresh copy of the installer - in case it got corrupted. You could also try using "run as administrator" to run the installer. It should be an option if you right click on the installer file.
The other thing it might be worth trying is to install it from another account, but you would need to create another administrator account if you don't a;ready have one. Or if you have another account that is not an admin account, you can temporarily promote it from the control panel>>User accounts.

It's not clear initially which is the fundamental error here. But based on the fact that the 8007371b can be fixed by the System Update Readiness Tool, we might try a manual install of that first. There's information on how to do that in the *Information for Advanced Users* section of the following document.

Installing the tool will run the tool.
After the installation of the tool, restart the PC. Then go back to Windows Update, and attempt to stock up again on Windows Updates. Do they download and install correctly? If so, because you might be a reasonable way behind on updates, keep going back to Windows update until it stops offering you new updates.
Once you're stocked up again, restart the PC again, and try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly this time?

My brand new iPod Touch 4th generation will not sync with iTunes on my Windows Vista computer! Please help!

I have tried every trick in the book and read every thread on why my version of Windows Vista will not allow me to get at the iTunes Store. I cannot even get this new iPod Touch to sync with iTunes.
I've rebooted, soft restart, hard restart, removed iTunes and re-installed iTunes. Nada...nothing!
Does anyone else have the same issue and can they offer me a solution?

Trouble installing iTunes to Windows Vista (32 bit) Please help!

My computer recently had some problems a few months back and I had to delete some things and get rid of programs, iTunes being one of them.
I have tried to get it back, and it won't let me. It doesn't even begin installing. It tries to go to the installing screen, but the installer completed sign comes up and says "The installer encountered errors before iTunes could be configured. Your system has not been modified. To retry these operations at a later time, please run the installer again."
I have tried everything in the Apple support area and did all of the troubleshooting problems. I don't know what to do now.
Can someone help me please?

Hmmmm. Unfortunately, most of the helpful documentation and discussion i've seen about the RAID issues has related to the Intel Matrix Storage Manager drivers, and most of the SATA documentation and discussions relates to PCs with nVidia video cards (and/or other nVidia componentry).
I had a quick check at ASUS, and it looks like it might be worth doublechecking to see if your BIOS is up to date. (Some of the BIOS updates they are listing there mention improved SATA compatibility and performance.) But I'm a bit uncomfortable about that advice, since there's a P5SD2-X and a P5SD2-X SE motherborad being listed there.

Window Audio error (someone please help)

my old computer broke down.
So I got one of the ENVY dv4 notebook for win8, and the audio system is beats of course.
but I found out that the audio system of the computer is mess up, or it's "auto fill sound" should i say.
basicly this is what happened: I use my video & music editing software started editing videos, but when i try to edit the audio by lower the volume (on the music file) like this:
the system gave me the same amount of sound when i replay the file, which means i can't tell how much volume did i lower (if it's not understandable, think about putting the sound setting on 50 but still hear the same amount of volume as it on 20) , no matter how I adjust the file if this system setting sound is on 10, it will still give me the same sound as i hear. when the volume of the music is lower than the average (as the music suppose to sound like that) the audio system will auto fill up higher volumes to try make it clear, which ruined the music. and for music editors we can't hear the difference of the sound as we go.

I was having the same issue. About 3 weeks ago I added HBO and Cinemax to my account (already had other existing premium services). A couple of days later I discovered that On demand for HBO and Cinemax wasn't working but was working fine with my pre-existing premium services. Called support to have it fixed and *poof* my HBO and Cinemax services were gone. Made countless calls and sent numerous emails to get my HBO and Cinemax service restored and all I wound up getting was the runaround.
Finally found someone from Verizonsupport on Twitter (JavierC) who did everything in his power to get HBO and Cinemax working on my account again.. tried resetting my boxes, tried reordering the services through my remote, but unfortunately nothing worked and tonight I threw in the towel on hoping I could get those services restored...
Bottom line is I'll have to call billing on Monday to make sure HBO and Cinemax have been removed from my account.

SAPinst is having problems starting up.
Please post the sapinst.log file from C:\Program Files\sapinst_dir
Make sure you do the following.
1.) Turn off Windows Firewall
2.) Turn off UAC (http://www.petri.co.il/disable_uac_in_windows_vista.htm)
3.) Install right version of JRE/JDK (1.4.2 Update 29)
4.) Set the correct User Environment Variables (JAVA_HOME, SAPSYSTEMNAME)
5.) Delete all SAP folders/contents in TEMP folder of your user profile (C:/Users/ULRICH~1.HNP/AppData/Local/Temp/.....).
5.) Delete C:\Program Files\sapinst_dir\ folder. This will be recreated when SAPinst starts again.
Give this a shot and see what happens.

The log file indicates there are permissions issues on a couple of files and they are not being removed. This is preventing the installation of the new version. Please run the uninstaller, posted here Uninstall Flash Player | Windows, and post an updated FlashInstall.log file, and a screenshot of the files remaining in the /Macromed/Flash directory after running the uninstaller. Please only run the uninstaller and do not attempt to re-install at this time.

Hello,
I am trying to get all content area content
to show up inside the folder(or area). When I want to get WebDB reports or external sites
to display within the content area, I get
a utl_http error. Here is what I did:
1. Create a Content Area
2. Create an item or type URL
3. Check the "link displays item in folder area" as the display options attribute.
When I click on the link, webdb reports take
up the entire page, while external url or
external apps (like giving a link to www.oracle.com) ends up giving me a utl_http error.

Seaching this page using the keyword 'utl_http' returned a likely solution:
Cause: This is most likely happening because of a bug in the UTL_HTTP package that shipped with early versions of the Oracle 8.1.6 database on Windows NT.
Solution: You must download and install the 8.1.6.2 patch from http://metalink.oracle.com (click patches, and then select "product: Oracle Server - Enterprise Edition", "platform: MS Windows NT"). You must be registered to use Metalink.
