Windows Vista SP1 and Audigy 4 problem with

After updating to Vista SP the subwoofer and front speakers channels were disabled on Audigy 4. There are no signal from them. Now if I choose 5. option for speakers I have only surround and central speakers working. Tried to reinstall the driver but with no result.
The system was absolutely Okay with the same driver before SP. Help, please!!!
Driver version is 2-2-0002. It is the only thing support page has for Vista.

Do yourself a favor and uninstall that bug infested, intentionally crippled piece of crap driver and install this one,

Vista x64 with an Audigy 4 here and it works and sounds better than it ever did in XP using Daniel's driver package.

  • Windows Vista ULT and Quicktime problem

I apologize if this has been posted already, I did a search and found nothing so here goes...
I just installed Windows Vista Ultimate and wanted to get iTunes and Quicktime running as soon as I could. I installed the latest version found on apple's website but every time I try to start Quicktime up, it does absolutely nothing at all. I try to click on a quicktime file and it does nothing as well. Even stranger, I try to uninstall quicktime and it hangs for a sec and then pretends I never asked it to do anything.
iTunes crashes every time I try to run it but it WILL uninstall.
Anyone know a fix to any of this?

Right, I read that article and did what they asked, but it didn't work and doesn't address the problem I have now.
According to the info Apple provided on that article, it implies that iTunes and Quicktime will work with Vista. I can wait for an update if thats the case, I just want to make sure I'm not doing anything wrong.

  • Windows Vista SP1 and Safari

I have tried out previous versions of Safari for Windows and they seemed to run fine but I have installed SP1 for Vista and now Safari will not connect to any website. It always tells me that it cant connect to the server. I am running version 3.1 of Safari.
Has anybody else had this problem and is there a fix for this?

The final release for Vista Service Pack 1 will not be released until mid-April (http://www.microsoft.com/windows/products/windowsvista/sp1.mspx). That means that you are using the bug and glitch SP1 (either the release candidate, release candidate refresh 1, or release candidate refresh 2). That is why you are having so many problems. Have fun removing which ever release candidate you have installed cause there are many others that are having issues releasing it.

  • T60p & Windows 7 Pro and Bluethoot problem with Access Connections.

    Hi,
I reinstalled Windows 7 Pro (64bit) at my T60p laptop.
I use Access Connections (v. 5.97) manage my wi-fi, lan connections.
(installed with all features lan, wi-fi, modem etc.)
    So here is problem.
When I start Access Connection. Bluethoot goes ON ...
Trying disable Bluetooth via Access connectios (Power Off), but it's still going "ON" and stays "ON"...
Any good solution to keep bluethoot off without disable it at bios?
Earlier version of Access Connections keeps bluetooth OFF...
    /P

If you are not using the Bluetooth and you want to disable it, the easiest way is to disable the device in the Device Manager.
Go into the Device Manager by searching for Device Manager in the start menu, Open the Device Manager and select hardware, choose the Bluetooth device, right click, and finally choose 'disable'. If you want to use the Bluetooth device in the future you will have to return to the Device manager, right click and 'enable' the device.
I hope this information has been helpful, please let me know if you have any further questions.

  • Just purchased Wndows Vista and having problems with the port for Palm 125

Sorry, that didn't work.  I get no drop down menu from the Hot Sync Manager for the Serial Port.  What comes up often is:  "The selected port, COM1, is not available at this time.  Hot Sync Manager will open the port when it becomes available."
Could it be the Norton Antivirus Firewall that is preventing the Hot Sync Manager to open the Serial Port?  Just a thought.  Thanks for your help.

  • Windows Vista, 7 and 8 ISO / Image file Download Links

Series: How to Re-Install Windows when you don't have the Recovery Discs
Intro: What is an ISO? Why is it used?
Step 1 - Get the ISO - ISO Download Links
Step 2 - Burn the ISO to a DVD or USB
Step 3 - What to do with the ISO DVD/USB? Change the Boot Order
Step 4 - What to do After Windows is Installed? How to Get HP Drivers?
Step 1 - Get the ISO - ISO Download Links
First, look at the Product Key label on the bottom of the computer and make sure you can still read it, before proceeding.
How is this legal?   As long as you have the Product Key (from the bottom of a computer you paid for) for the corresponding version of Windows you download, it is perfectly legitimate and legal.
    The ISO Links:
    Windows Vista SP1  32 & 64-bit
*****With that link, you will have to combine the three files into an Image file (aka ISO) first (How to create an image file from files/folders) , using a program like ImgBurn.*****
    Windows 7 32 & 64-bit
    Windows 8 32 & 64-bit
See Step 2 - Burn the ISO to a DVD or USB
If you have any questions, create a new post (How to Create a New Post - Video), copy and paste it's link into a private message to me, and I will respond on your thread

You shouldn't need to edit any of the files. The Windows 7 ISO is a retail, untouched version. It doesn't have a Product Key embedded into it.
You should be able to use a Windows 7 Product Key from the label on the bottom of the computer with no issues. The installation will ask you for a Windows 7 Product Key. The only exception would be if the Product Key were in use on a different computer. From my understanding, as long as it is not already in use, it should activate.
Please let me know if you have any questions on that

  • Right-click with 2 fingers on Windows Vista taskbar and nothing appears

I just updated my Bootcamp to 2.1, I thought it would solve my problem
"Right-click with 2 fingers on Windows Vista taskbar and nothing appears" but I still have this problem, I cannot right-click on my windows vista at all.
though, right-click on the notification area works.
right-click = pressing the trackpad with 2 fingers.

Now I have figured out I have to use 3 fingers instead of 2 fingers.
but in the BootCamp Control Panel there is an option that says
    * Use 2 fingers for right-click

I am using Adobe Reader X on a laptop with Windows Vista OS and Adobe Reader XI on an older laptop with Windows XP OS.  While filling out the same form on each computer, I have found that I can save info on the older laptop, but not on the newer one.  This is a big problem.  I must be able to save on the newer computer.  Do I need to buy a new computer with a more up-to-date OS?  Please help.

Adobe Reader X can only save reader-enabled forms. Adobe Reader XI can save all forms.

  • Why is it that when I connect my iPhone 5S to my Windows Vista computer, the photos made with my iPhone are all of very low quality and most of them are turned upside down?

Why is it that when I connect my iPhone 5S to my Windows Vista computer, the photos made with my iPhone are all of very low quality and most of them are turned upside down?
On another note, the iPhone tells me that it's ''busy'' when opening a photo on the computer.
(I tried restarting my PC, connecting via another USB port, importing using PhotoStream, etc...)

Are you using the front or rear camera? When you say they are low quality, are you referring to file/pixel size, or how the picture looks? As far as upside down, how are you holding the phone? Older versions of Windows have issues reading the Metadata from the pictures and will not display the same.

  • I was recently prompted to update my Itunes player to the latest version. I'm using Windows Vista. I was left with an error message MSVCR80.dll and consequently no new update. I uninstalled the old version and have tried to reinstall manually. No luck

I was recently prompted to update my Itunes player to the latest version. I'm using Windows Vista. I was left with an error message MSVCR80.dll and consequently no new update. I uninstalled the old version and have tried to reinstall manually several times. No luck. Consequently I have no player.
    Any ideas for a fix?

Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
    iTunes
    Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support (if this won't uninstall move on to the next item)
    Bonjour
    Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.
The uninstall and reinstall process will preserve your iTunes library and settings, but ideally you would back up the library and your other important personal documents and data on a regular basis. See this user tip for a suggested technique.
    Please note:
Some users may need to follow all the steps in whichever of the following support documents applies to their system. These include some additional manual file and folder deletions not mentioned above.
