Windows Vista w/ QT: Plays M4V But Not MOV
Any ideas where I can get a new codec driver for Vista?

So it really isn't an issue with Web playback but your camera files are giving you trouble?
The settings from the Movie Info window indicate they are the same codecs used in some (very few) Web based files. Nobody uses A-LAW or u-LAW audio any longer but it will still work in QuickTime. The video codec implies MPEG-4 Video codec.
I can only guess that Vista has installed newer graphic card drivers and maybe they don't like these older (2000) codecs.
The "fix" may be as simple as "Safe mode":
Open the QuickTime Control Panel
Under "Advanced" tab switch to "Safe mode"
Under the Audio tab do the same
Quit and relaunch QuickTime Player
Try the files from your camera again.
If they work as you want you can probably leave safe mode enabled for all QuickTime media you view. If you have issues with newer content you may need to switch back and forth between these two options.

Windows Vista connects to TC/Airport, but not internet
I have long had a Windows Vista notebook (HP Pavilion dv6000) connect well via a Time Capsule to the internet, along with a PowerBook G4. I recently added an iMac (27" 3.06 dual core) and all was well for a few days, but then had to reset the Pavilion's setting and I can now connect it to the TC/Airport network, but not the internet (I get a "Local only" notation). I've confirmed correct network passwords, tried repair mechanisms, and no luck. Anyone else have this problem?
I too have this problem, I see that there is a solution solved notice at the top of the page, but I do not see the solution.

i have installed flash player on my hp laptop windows 7 i am playing games but then all off a sudden it tells me that flash player is not found 11.3.0 version is required but i have this already installed now i cant play my games. I have uninstalled and reinstalled it but it still not working please can any one help.

Trying to install iTunes for Windows Vista. Says "successfully installed," but when I try to open iTunes, I get error messages, "unable to locate componant AVFoundationCF.dll not found," then "Error 7 Windows error 126." I have tryed to reinstall twice with the same result.

hello is there a solution to play some avi formats with quicktime because with all the codec i can play video but not the sound thank you by advance (im on windows 7 so perian cant help me)

No, you should have Restrictions OFF.
Computer's iTunes > Preferences > Parental Preferences > everything should be unchecked.
Are the songs also on computer's iTunes? -
after updating iOS on my iPod touch 4th gen my Philips speaker dock DC290B/37 no longer charges the iPod. It will play music but not charge, is there anyway to find out if Apple is working on an update/fix?
Try:
- Reset the dock
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost

Otherwise you are out of luck. Apple is not making any more update for the 4G.
Also check with Phillips. Maybe they have an firmware update available -

There is no need for anyone to use 32-bit version anymore.
Retail comes with both. Or you can save on just buying 64-bit System Builder disc.
Better support for today's hardware with larger video graphic memory and systems.

How can I force mount a dvd that isn't even seen by Disk Utility? I can see it on the Mac when using my Windows 7 partition via Boot Camp, but not in Lion, which is how I would rather be running.
Well if there is a EFI block, then running a program in OS X isn't going to do a lick of good.
After all EFI was designed for Trusted Computing and Digital Rights Management, to act between the OS and hardware, can read drives, contact the Internet and everything.
Windows doesn't use EFI, will have UEFI in Windows 8 though. -
I tunes won't play a song on my Windows 8 computer. Plays videos but won't play music.

Almost certainly a damaged track, then.
Delete the current copy of the track from your iTunes library, and reimport a fresh copy from the CD. Does that one play properly? -
I have a Imac G5 with a superdrive and if will play DVD but not CD. Anyway i can fix this?
Two ways that might fix it (the superdrive uses different lasers for CDs and DVDs):
1. Clean the superdrive with a proprietary lens cleaner that uses tiny brushes.

IMac will play DVDs but not CDs
My 2009 iMac will play DVDs but not CDs (bought music CDs and burnt CDs). The last time I tried (successfully) was December 2013. Can anyone help?
Start a new topic and don't hijack this one. You're problem is different from the OPs. When you start the new topic give your system version, iMac year and model and what type of CDs you can't read, i.e. commercial or those you created yourself. Also if you can read DVDs.

Superdrive plays cds but not dvds
My mini plays cds but not dvds. Wouldn't this indicate a software, not hardware problem?

Not necessarily, the drive uses a different laser to read DVDs.
1. Reset your Mac's PRAM > Resetting your Mac's PRAM
2. Clean the drive with a DVD lens cleaner?
