Windows Wont Recognize

I'm updating my Dads iPod for him and for the first time ever, Windows/iTunes wont recognize it.
On the iPods display screen it says do not dissconnect so its not my USB ports nor the cable. Any ideas?
BTW, this is the iPod Color U2 version thing

Is the AMDS running?
Does the iPod apear in in My Computer (if PC)?
Have you tried other cables?
Have yu tried another computer to verify yu have a comouter problem?
You do have iTunes versio 10. 6 installed?

Select button unresponsive and Windows wont recognize iPod Nano 2g

My second generation 4GB iPod nano is not being recognized by Windows. I cannot reset it because the center select button is unresponsive. The other buttons and click wheel still work. Also, even when it is unplugged, it has the "Charged" screen, indicating that it does not recognize when it has been unplugged, therefore, it will not even turn off.
Any suggestions?

I have the exact same problem with my second generation ipod mini, whenever i hook it up to my computer it just recharges and the 5r's do nothing for me. I cannot update new songs unto my ipod which really *****..i also cannot find a certain event or problem with my computer that would have instigated this issue?? Is there anyway too fix my mini, i have had for about 2 years now... is it just too old or something??

hold down the menu and the center buutton for about 15 second and that reboots it (dont worry you'll keep all your files and then plug it into the computer again, it should turn on."

Your antivirus may be conflicting.
Post back if you have trouble.
Swapping cables ports and avoiding hubs may also help.

You appear to have a burner recognition problem that is manifesting itself when you try to do the burn to VCD in the Organizer 7 Slideshow Editor.
I will not get into the classical VCD (352 x 240) versus DVD (720 x 480) obvious considerations.
Your issue may go deeper than an Organizer VCD burn feature. Are you sure that you are not dealing with a Windows DVD/CD burner recognition issue rather than Organizer 7 Slideshow Editor VCD not recognizing your burner?
For troubleshooting purposes, can you or have you successfully burned one of your wmv files to DVD-VIDEO on DVD using something like Windows DVD maker on this same computer same burner if you can see the burner? Put another way, if you open to Computer to view your drives, is your DVD/CD drive displayed there?

Do you have the Windows DVD Maker included on your Windows 7 64 bit computer? If you do not know, in Search, please type in Windows DVD Maker and see if it is revealed.

Take a look at this MBP, a refurbished unit. Don't let the late 2011 release date put you off. For about $500 less than an equivalent 'new' one with similar specifications you get a quad core CPU and excellent graphics. As Steve359 mentioned, this can be upgraded if the need arises and has the same warranty as a 'new' one
I would not be surprised that these may actually be 'new' MBPs due to the length of time that they have been replaced by the current generation. I purchased a 17" model about 5 weeks ago, and a serial number check suggests that it is 9 weeks old.

Windows 7 partition corrupted, and wont recognize my repair disk/installer disk, please help?

I tried to make my windows 7 partition bigger but it corrupted the boot bios, but now I cannot get windows to recognize an installer disk or repair disk, (ive tried all related booting commands IE C/alt and some others, will i have to re-install windows?

Nah but I didn't have any important files on there (at all) so I just rebuilt it, took me a while due to some difficulties in the mac OSX disk being scratched but I got there, but thanks anyways .

Same problem. I can see the itunes store so not a problem with windows firewall. The account is active on my iphone so i know i am not locked out. I can connect the PC to my iphone so i know itunes is working ok. It is just logging into itunes on this pc which doesn't work. Only thing I can think of is that the email address I use for my apple id has been offline for a while and is working again now, I'm wondering whether this has been the case for others who are having this issue?

While you're in itunes, with the leftside window open, click on Apps. Then, look across the top middle of your itunes screen. You will see several choices: All, Iphone/iPad Touch, Ipad, Ipod Games, List, and Updates.
Clicking on each of these gives you a different view.
When you select ALL you will see all of your apps. When you select Updates you sill see only the apps that need to be updated. When you are in Updates you will see the Update button in the lower right corner.
