Windows XP magnifier, which I - as a blinkd person - depend on for all of my computer work, does not function in Firefox 5 like it does in my other applications, making work extremely tedious.

My Windows XP machine is set up following the accessibility options in Windows accessories...expanded text...large cursor and the High Contrast theme...with green text...black background...large icons and scrollbars. I use Windows Magnifier at the top of the screen to enlarge what is showing in an application window. Magnifier works well in MS Office, Paint Shop, Notetab, Outlook Express, IE, and Firefox 3.x. Since updating Firefox, first to 4 and now to 5, Magnifier cannot follow my cursor in forms that are contained in web sites. I must write my text or code in a text editor (I use Notetab) and then paste it into forms. I write and post web content for a local pro-life group, and the inability to depend on Magnifier to show me what I am typing into a text area or text box, means I must spend extra time moving back and forth between applications. Set up a Windows XP machine as I have done, and you will see what I mean. Firefox must be set to match the Windows accessibility settings. I do use IE when I absolutely have to, but Firefox is so much more secure.

To Reset Firefox do the following:

The Windows 7 pop up screen at the bottom toolbar does not function with Firefox 4. Instead there are now tabs on top. The Windows 7 feature was handy because one could easily see which pages you're working on. How can I fix this?

One of the Windows 7 features is the pop up box icon at the bottom toolbar which displays which pages are open when scrolling over it. After installing Firefox 4 this function does not work anymore, instead it was replaced by Firefox tabs above.

I believe you are talking about taskbar previews. To enable them you need to change a hidden preference.

I have the same problem, and I also wondered if Google toolbar has anything to do with it. There GMAIL was set as the default mail application at first. I have removed that setting, but Firefox 4.0.1 continues to use GMAIL instead of Outlook which is my selection for mailto handling.

If the user account is associated with an Apple ID, and you know that account password, the Apple ID can be used to reset your user account password.
Otherwise, boot into Recovery by holding down the key combination command-R at startup. Release the keys when you see a gray screen with a spinning dial.

In the Terminal window, type this:
resetpassword
That's one word with no spaces. Then press return. A Reset Password window opens.

Are there photos in the Library? If not then just trash it and launch iphoto. It will make a new one.
If there are pics in it then Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.

I work with an Inventory module software and is responsible for software detection across several computers. Once an updated version comes up, I update our database with latest software details to get it detected if installed on any machines.
The problem tracking updates with Desktop Creative Cloud Software are;
1)We have to have it installed with the CC applications in-order to get the notification of the latest updates and have to check everyday.
2)Only relates to the latest updates, so in-between we may miss a prior update unknowingly.Hence, the remote machines having those updates may not get detected with the software version update which would create problem in reporting.
3)For all CC products, there is no base or previous updates available for installation if we miss one.
I went through the Adobe Products Update pages [Product updates] which holds good when it comes to Acrobat and Reader software which I follow to track down any newer updates but this is inconsistent when it comes to CC products like in After Effects CC, Dreamweaver CC etc...
So overall to be very specific, is there any one channel I can follow to get the notifications only for the updates on CC products and then may be I can rely on Desktop Creative Cloud for installation if not available anywhere like in product update pages of Adobe ?

Just so you'll know, there is no Java on that page. There is, however JavaScript. You should know that those two things are different as night and day.

Laptop Touchscreen does not function Windows 7 64 bit

I have owned several HP laptops over the years yet find HP's lack of support very troubling.
I purchased this laptop brand new in April 2014 and when I called HP Support the tech told me the warranty is expired!
I am currently very frustrated with the touchscreen and the outcome of this issue will make or break my future HP Purchases so I hope this can be resolved without great frustration.
I own an HP Pavilion Touch 14 Notebook PC Model #14-n028La and it came preinstalled with Windows 8. LIke most of the world I hate Windows 8 so I installed Windows 7 Home Premium 64 Bit. Everything worked without an issue EXCEPT for the Touchscreen. At the time there was a help forum article that explained what the issue was and which drivers were needed to resolve the Touchscreen issue and it worked perfectly. I can no longer find that HP Help Article and have recently re-installed Windows 7 64 bit. I have once again lost all Touch Screen functionality.
I need to know how to make the touchscreen work in Windows 7 Home Premium 64 Bit.
