Windows XP not recognizing the iphone still camera
I have been using successfully iphone (2G) with itunes and photoshop. For last 1 week when i updated the itunes to 8 and iphone to 2.0.2, windows does not recognize the digital still camera. Hence photoshop and picassa can't detect iphone and i can't sync photos from iphone to photoshop and vice versa.
It is working perfectly fine on other PCs. I know that there is something wrong with my windows or iphone drives but can't figure out what.
Itunes is able to detect the iphone and can sync seamlessly. Can anyone help whats going wrong.
One thing that might help.
When the iphone is connected to the computer, click on start.
Then right click on My Computer and choose Manage.
In the computer management window, click device manager on the left hand side.
The to right, look to see if there are any items with exclimation marks or red x.
If one is the iphone or under imaging devices, try reloading the driver or delete is.
If you delete it, disconnect the iphone and reconnect.

I found a webpage where a user reported the same issue as me.
He said he determined that "foreign pictures" -- meaning any pictures not taken using the iPhone's camera -- were the cause. Once he deleted the "foreign pictures" -- such as pictures obtained from receiving texts from others which included pictures that he saved onto the iPhone, then iTunes worked.
In my case, the fix was to upgrade the iPhone's OS from 5.1.1 to the latest version.
Now, both issues are solved:
Windows recognizes the iPhone as a storage device.
iTunes can see pictures that I've saved on the iPhone. -

i have tried to update my iphone 4 last night...but there was an error and not my iphone is stuck on the connect to itunes logo...

1. Step 1-turn off the antivirus
2. uninstall the apple mobile device drivers
3. put the mobile in the recovery mode and connect to pc

Computer not recognizing the iphone
The Problem:
All of the sudden, whenever the iphone is plugged into the computer, the computer fails to recognize its presence. However the itunes program recognizes that the phone is plugged and allows syncing, etc...).
The OS:
This is a WINDOWS XP
The Goal: Want it to show up in the camera and scanner wizard so the photos can be transferred on to the computer.
Troubleshooting Done So Far:
- Restarted the iphone. Computer didn't recognize iphone after this.
- Restarted the computer. Computer didn't recognize iphone after this.
- There was an update recently, but it was working fine after the update so this shouldn't be the problem
-Tried plugging into different USB ports (all of which work with other devices). Still not recognized.
- Tried going to "disk management" to disable and enable the iphone option under "portable media". There was no iphone option.
- Tried going to the "control panel" and to "cameras and scanners". There was no iphone option.
Getting Desperate...
- Tried free software called "read disk" or something like that which is a free iphone explorer application. That worked - could find the photos, but they were in a .dth format so they couldn't be retrieved
If you can offer a work around at least so the goal can be achieved that would be very helpful.
Thank you in advance!I had this exact problem it's not your computer it's the software on the phone here's what apple did had me reinstall iTunes 12x then wipe and format my hard drive. They replaced my phone 3x all this started with 3.1 3.1.2 did not fix finally the third phone took and apparently from other post they still have problems if I were you call apple log a case then go into apple store I personally think they eaither don't care or don't know how to fix it. They will have you do every step they have. After you call and log a case try this restore the phone as a new phone not from a back up that has helped some.

IPhone Not Recognizing the iPhone dock
My iPhone has stopped recognizing when it is plugged into the wall or a USB port. It does recognize when it is plug into the lighter in the car with a non-data cable. I have tried a couple of different cables without success. However when I plug it into the dock that came with it I get a message that says it's not a recognized iPhone accessory.
Try completely powering off.
Hold the Sleep/Wake button until you see "Slide to Power Off"
Turn it back on.
If you still have the same results, there may be an issue with the USB connector on the iPhone. -
Windows is not recognizing the ipod
I plugged my Ipod into a friends computer to charge. After which the Ipod gave me the "Do not Disconnect" sign for about an hour. Now, when I plug the ipod back into my computer it does not recognize the Ipod. I have a feeling that it needs to be restored but that cannot happen until the Ipod is recognized as there by the computer. I've tried setting it to disk mode, with no result.
My friend has a video ipod with the latest update software (if that matters) and we are both running Windows XP.

Why is windows 7 not recognizing my iphone? It was working just fine before!
It was working just fine before. Today I plug it in and nothing happens, it doesn't charge from my laptop, or recognize it. At one point it installed the drivers again and it worked for like 2 minutes but then it went back to nothing! It was going to do the update but then it said something about my purchases and transfering first so I cancelled the update and then the iphone stopped working on the laptop.
Tried that already and nothing I'm still looking up solutions but nothing has worked so far. I repaired the latest iTunes installer and nothing.

iphone 4S - Windows Vista - 64 Bit (and photoshop elements 9.0) is not recognizing my iphone as a camera - therefore I cannot download pictures from my iphone. iTunes works fine with the iPhone, but I do not see it in "My Computer" when connected via USB. IPhone 3GS not being recognized as a still camera in Windows
Hi, this is my first post ever!
My problem is that whenever I plug my iPhone 3GS in my PC (running Windows 8 Dev. preview) it isn't recognized as a still camera (or MTP device) so I'm not able to copy photos from the camera roll. The thing is it was working fine until yesterday. Note that iTunes syncing works perfectly. I've tried unistalling the drivers form the Device Manager, I've tried unistalling the USB controllers and then restarting etc. but nothing worked . I really need to fix this problem since I've got a lot of photos to transfer.Connect it to another computer not running a Beta version of Windows, does it work correctly?
If so, the issue is with Windows.
If not, then you might actually have an issue with the device. -
I have Photoshop CS5.1 (bought in 2011). The photoshop Camera Raw plug-in is not recognizing the format of my new Nikon D610. I updated the version of my Camera Raw plug in and am still getting this message when trying to open images in photoshop. Please help.
This link shows that ACR 8.3 supports the Nikon D610 and 6.7.1 was the final version for CS5.

or using the DNG converter, convert your Nikon raw files to dng format to open in CS5.

my iphone 4 wont connect to my laptop (windows 8) via usb but it will however register that it is there via 'photos' im not using the cable that came with my phone, does that affect the connection?

itunes works fine, but I still have this problem. I have a windows vista 64bit PC.Are they consistent (is it always the same files that work properly and the same ones that don't)?
Do analyze them with GSpot and post the images here. That will also answer Bill's question about audio formats.

windows vista not recognizing my iphone4s when i open itunes, keep getting trust / dont trust message on phone and always press trust. Not sure why it's started doing it. Can not synch iphone at all or add new music....as itunes does not pick up the phone I have connected anymore. My ipod synchs fine still and thats over 6 years old!
