Windows XP3 Lacie HD FW 800 frozen

I bought a new HD LaCie d2 Quadra Hard DiskeSATA 3Gbits | USB | FireWire 400 & 800 2TB and i have formatted HFS +, but when I connect it under _Windows XP3_ , it looks for a driver for the blue button which it does not find.
, and Windows remain frozen
the only way to give hand on Windows it's to unplug this HD
searched all the internet and in theKnowledge Base Articles Lacie for a solution but I can't find any.

Hi, I´ve just installed newest version of iTunes and it is not able to connect with my iPhone.
I did some research at google and i found out that there are many people with same problem. It looks like there is some colision between newest iTunes and windows XP3 SP3. I even updated driver or deleted "Lockdown" folder from C:/documents and settings/aa users/application data/Apple according to some artical that I found about this problem. Nothing helped. Can somebody give me some advice or should I just wait for newer version of iTunes and hope that Apple will solve this problem?

Right-click->Run as administrator (even if you're already logged in as administrator). Worked for me after I had this same issue, Best of luck!

I am trying to switch over my work computer from a windows 7 laptop to a new windows 8 laptop so far I have not been able to connect to the VPN on windows 8. The windows 7 connects without an issue and is still connected. The same for my softphone using
the same settings it connects on windows 7 but says account failed to enable on windows 8. I am only using windows defender as I uninstalled the anti virus software that came pre-installed.
Any help on this issue will be greatly appreciated!

Error 800: Unable to establish the VPN connection. The VPN server may be un-reachable, or security parameters may not be configured properly for this connection.
Please temporarily disable Windows firewall and Windows defender to check if that helps.

Slow large file transfer speed with LaCie 1T firewire 800 drives

I am transferring two large files (201gb and 95gb) from one LaCie 1T firewire external drives to another one (using separate connections to a PCI Express firewire 800 card in my Quad G5. The transfer time is incredibly slow – over for hours for the 201gb file and over 2 hours for the 95gb file.
Does anyone have any ideas why this is so slow or what I might try to speed up the transfer rates?

Call new window with the parent to be frozen blur

Windows XP3 Firefox works for one use, not another.

Using windows XP SP3 and latest Firefox. On normal user Fire fox suddenly will not load. Click on Icon and it seems to load but does not appear on desktop. Looking in Windows Task Manager it looks like ti is running. Never appears open on desktop
On user "Admin", it boots and works normally. BOTH Admin and other user are admin security levels.
I have downloaded and installed the latest update but no change.
Thunderbird works normally on all users. There are only two user names on this machine. My problem is with another machine. I have compared some settings from this one to the faulty on and found no noticable differences.

Windows 7 Won't Boot. Frozen no matter what i try.

Hello! My Laptop Is A Toshiba L755D-S5204.
& I'v had problems with it sense i got it 2 yr's ago "Brand new" & contacted before but i recieved no help for the issues i was having. but i'v had to tolerate it the way it was sense i'v been in & out of hospitals. & today it's taken all day to get nowhere.
But today i had a bigger issue, I can't get past the windows screen & a blue screen flashes than it brings me back to the Start Windows Normally Or Start Windows Fix Launch Startup Repair. & When i go into Repair it just shows a mouse & doesn't load anything but a black screen.
When i go to boot into Safe Mode it does the same thing. & I Never even got a Recovery disk for this laptop & it's always had issue's such as the DVD Drive has never worked. So now all i can use is a 8GB USB Stick to try & save this Laptop. Is there any Toshiba Software i can load onto a USB Stick to get WIndows to boot?
Help will be appreciated! I Want to fix this for good & can use any advice towards this model Laptop.
Also could use a bit of help Removing the DVD Drive. I Got a new one but never installed it & not exactly sure if it fit's but it look's like it does & maybe my only hope here. & If i reformat it i don't want to loose some stock Toshiba Software like the mouse functions & FN Key features.

It came with the recovery information on the laptop itself. If you didn't make the backup recovery media yourself, you might still be able to use the recovery utility. Work through the suggestions in this article:

LaCie D2 Firewire 800 drives not mounting.

Hi guys,
After an OS upgrade to 10.5 I can't mount any Firewire drives to desktop. In fact, they're not even listed in System profiler, the message "*Warning:Unable to list FireWire devices*" comes up in Firewire bus section.
They worked fine under 10.4 etc, and still mount on older G4 towers all running Tiger/Panther
Any help appreciated.
System: MacBook, OS X 10.5, LaCie D2 FW800 external drives

Not likely a problem with your LaCie drives, but something related to the FireWire drivers inside your upgraded OS X 10.5 installation.
From your own words, system profiler is reporting that it is unable to list any FireWire devices.
You may want to try resetting your FireWIre bus as a first step:
shutdown your computer, and disconnect drives
remove AC power from your drives as well as your computer for a few minutes; with laptops, also remove the battery
reconnect AC to just your computer; reinstall battery if a laptop
restart computer; confirm that there is no problem in the FireWire section of your Apple System Profiler report
connect power to your FireWire drive, and reconnect to the computer. Confirm that drive is visible to both Apple System Profiler as well as Apple Disk Utility. Apply First Aid to confirm drive is OK.
If drive does not appear, or there is a problem reported with the FireWire bus, then suspect a fauly installation of OS X. Youc an boot from your Leopard OS X DVD, and use Apple Disk Utility and Apple System Profiler while booed from the DVD. This will be a clean version of the OS, and probably overcome any problems with the installed OS X.
If drive appears fine while booted from the DVD, then you will need to reinstall your OS X.

LaCie d2 3T Freezes Mac but works in Windows

I'm hoping someone has seen this and can help me. I have a LaCie d2 3T drive for about a bit over 1 year and is been working fine, one day for no reason and with no changes to my iMac 2013 (max out model) running Maverick (latest update at the time of writing this) it started freezing the machine and then eventually forcing a reboot. As soon as the LaCie is removed or turned off the machine works flawlessly. If I take the same drive into ANY Windows machine it works FLAWLESSLY even the Mac formatted partitions I can see and get to my data from Windows using an HFS explorer app. The drive has run with no issue for an entire day in Windows. LaCie support has no idea what the issue is and want me to send it to them which I'm reluctant as I believe there is no issue with the drive since it works in Windows. Also called Apple Care and they gentlemen on the other end had no idea on how to fix or what can be cause this he just blamed the hard drive as the culprit. Can someone shed some light on this. Greatly appreciated!!!

Which USB port are you connecting it to?
iPhoto will transfer over a USB 1.1 connection, and many hubs are USB 1.1. Try connecting the iPhone directly to the back of the computer.

Videos load the third 2-3 seconds then stop, flash version 11,8,800,94, Windows 8

Every website i browse that used flash, example- youtube, loads the first 2-3 seconds of videos or whatever flash application they use then stops loading the rest.
This all started when i downloaded the latest version that was available for windows 8 version 11,8,800,94, i have tried turning off and on active filtering, i have tried enabling shockwave flash,i had a lengthy discussion with my inter service provider that had me do ping tests to make sure that i was recieveing correct internet broadband and that i was receiving from the websites i went to. i even had to bring my computer to Futureshop to have the tech people look at it.
Software glitch as they put it, they gave it back to me with flash 11.3 installed, then my wife by accident resinstalled 11,8,800,94 and its happening all over again when it was working properly after they reverted it back to 11.3.

I currently run FCP 7 on a brand new MacBook Pro. I use the Thunderbolt port into a Thunderbolt to VGA adapter (third party) to run an external Asis 27" display. It all works quite well. But...
Right now I use a LaCie d2 Firewire 800 external HD as my scratch but would like to upgrade to the new LaCie 2Big Thunderbolt. I want to then run my external display (still using the adapter) off the second Thunderbolt port on the 2Big. Is this possible? My local Apple authorized store was very sceptical although they had never tested it, in fact, they haven't even sold a 2Big yet.
Has anyone done this? Am I going in the right direction. I don't want to pop for the 2Big (+$500) and find out the setup can't be done.

Yes, I've demo'd this a lot. Thunderbolt out of a computer, to the drive, looped to a monitor. AND!! Thunderbolt to an AJA IoXT for broadcast monitoring, back out to the drive, then the drive to a computer display.

After acquiring 2 external Lacie Fire Wire HD's, and wanting to have the ability to connect my Camcorder as well, (without dazzie chaining everything), I decided to get the Lacie 3 Port Fire Wire PCI Card:

You should put the camcorder on your G5 internal FW 400 port
and the drives on the LaCie card (FW 800 card I assume).
This keeps the camera on one bus and the HD Drives on their own bus.
This will prevent getting dropped frames on capture.
This will also enable me to continue the use of the
other 2 Fire Wire Ports built into the rear of the G5
motherboard?
Is there anything else I need to know?
While capturing from your Camcorder, don't have any other firewire devices connected to your G5 ports, either front or rear. (though you have multiple ports, the G5 has only one firwire bus serving all the ports.)
That should cover it.
