It's unbelievable, but I can confirm "KloinerFeigling83" : After replacing the harddisk of a DELL E6400 Notebook and copying the running Vista Business SP2 system by Acronis True Image Home 11, everything seemed to be fine except that Windows Update
quit operating and the UAC said "Unknown Program" all the time. In the Windows update log file I found also "DtaStor FATAL: Failed to initialize datastore, error = 0xC8000247" as mentioned above. Stand alone updates didn't
work either (Error code 0xC8000247)
All the tools which can be found in the Internet failed.
I downloaded the Intel® Rapid-Storage-Technik-Treiber für Intel® PC-Mainboards (STOR_all32_f6flpy_9.6.0.1014_PV.zip) which was not on the Dell support web site . After restarting, this caused heavy hard disk activity that took a while. But after all, Windows
Update worked again and the UAC provides correct displays. It's magic - I think Microsoft - there is some work to do ... we are living in 2013, I cannot imagine that a hard disk driver has an impact on high level software...

Start page says I am not running latest update when I am!
Every time I start Firefox there is a message to say I am not running the latest version and to update now.
However, if I go to the Help tab to check, I am told that I am up to date.

Starting with the Firefox 4 version, Firefox is using a "local" Start Page with the address of '''about:home'''. It looks similar to the old Start Page, but it isn't exactly the same. -
Have downloaded V801 but panel under search bar says I am not running the latest version
I downloaded latest version 801 the first time it loaded it was ok but every time since then the bar under the google search bar say I am not on the latest version with a triangle and ! . I my macbook pro will not recognize my iphone. I had the AppleStore, re-install my original software a month or two ago, but since they did this, my computer cannot recognize my Iphone it is telling me that I also need to download the new version of Itunes, but keeps telling me my system isn't running the correct software. When I go to update my software, it's telling me I'm running the latest version??? HELP!!

Installer says I'm not running 10.6.4
I'm trying to install the Snow Leopard Graphics update. I've already verified everything and installed all the new software, and I know for a solid fact that I am running 10.6.4. I've checked and double-checked that I don't need any other new software, and yet the installer still tells me that I need to be running 10.6.4 in order to install. Even the hover box over the disk in the installer lists it as being the right version, but it still does not let me.
What do I do? I seriously do need this update.I have a brand-new 2010 Mac Pro, purchased just a couple of weeks ago, running 10.6.4. No updates are showing up when I run Software Update.
Also got the message when starting up L4D2 that I needed to install the graphics update. I ran the Snow Leopard Graphics Update, and it also told me I needed to be running 10.6.4 even though I already am. I think there's a glitch in the update... -

Help! When I connect my iphone or ipod touch to my computer, windows recognizes my device but itunes will not. I can still see my songs, videos, and access the itunes store but my phone and itunes store have no connection so it does me no good. I have for 2 days now tried every trouble shooting method posted with no luck. I think I may have finally found a lead. My Apple Mobile Device USB Driver is showing up under portable mobile devices while it is supposed to be showing up under universal serial Bus controllers from my understanding? Also, while running my diagnostic report under itunes it also says itunes is not running in safe mode, it is not showing enabled in windows firewall (which it is checked), and the HDCP is not supported. I don't know what to do? I am in tears here, someone please help!!!

Web links in .pdfs inoperable- "Acrob. could not run the browser"
I keep my Adobe Reader updated often, but I've been experiencing a severe inconsistency with the ability to open a (FFox) web page by clicking a link given by the author of any given .pdf., embedded in it. Sometimes it works and opens up the new FFox page OK. But maybe a little more than half the time I first get a security warning, "The document is trying to connect to (URL). If you trust this site, choose 'Allow'. If you do not trust this site, choose 'Block' ". So, I'll click 'allow' and then I get a window saying, "Acrobat could not run the web browser. Unknown error (740).
I've tried to find out more about an error 740, but there's no relation online between any error w/ that # and Adobe. It reads kind of contradictory anyway, since it says "unknown error" but then gives you an error #. Ideas, anyone? Thanks.

1. Add the site / host to the trusted sites list in Internet explorer. E.G http://hostname or file://hostname or hostname.
2. In Adobe reader or Acrobat go to START>PREFERENCES>JAVA SCRIPT Untick 'enable Acrobat JavaScript'.
3. Create the documents from open office and use the export to PDF option.
The last option seemed to work when adding the hostname to the trusted sites list in IE 8 (IE 6 didn't work)
One thing I noticed when I created PDF's this way is the link was displayed as file://hostname/share/doc.pdf.
When I converted a document from MS Word 2007 and used Acrobat standard to convert the document the link was displayed as file://///host/share.doc.pdf.
I'm not sure why the extra //// were added but it seems that MS word puts the hyperlink in this format.
As I said creating the document in Open Office worked when I added the host in IE 8's trusted site list but this isn't acceptable for me due our SOE restrictions.

I close firefox and when I try to open it later, a pop-up says it is still running and I have to restart my pc? tried closing Firefox down but Task manager says it is NOT running even though the window that pops up says it is still running??
When you go to task manager, go to the "processes" tab, right click on "firefox.exe," and select "end process tree." In the picture I've attached, I'm using windows 8, so the UI is a little different, but I hope it points you in the right direction.

i had database of 9.2.0.1 on windows xp. i am trying to configure EM using OMS. while discovering nodes i am getting error saying intelligent agent not running.
i tried to start that using "agentctl start" but its saying "could not able to contact agent". when i checked in google its saying to have a snmpagent role should be there in dba_roles which i dont have. i even dont have dbsnmp user, for that i executed catsnmp.sql script. now i am having user but no role.
also when i tried to start the service of agent from services of control panel its saying "service is started and stopped on local computer some services will stop automatically if they had no work to do"
what i need to do for getting my agent started and making discovering of nodes?
