WinRM Won't Configure - WSManFault

When trying to configure winrm on an IIS server I'm getting an error that I can't find much info on...
WSManFault
Message = The WinRM client sent a request to an HTTP server and got a response saying the requested HTTP URL was not available. This is usually returned by a HTTP server that does not support the WS-Management protocol.

I have tried to configure winrm with quick configure, a winrm create command, and group policy but nothing works. I want winrm to communicate on port 5985 and none of the sites on the server have any bindings to that port. It is a public facing server in
our DMZ but we have other servers in our DMZ that we have configured winrm with no problems.
I am stumped and would appreciated any help I can get. Thanks.

Please check if configure a listener for the ports that send and receive WS-Management protocol messages using
either HTTP or HTTPS on any IP address. Please refer to the following article. It will help you to configure WinRM.

In addition, Antivirus software may prevent proper WinRM communication. Please temporarily disable antivirus
software and monitor the result.
By the way, you can also check system log if can find some warning or errors (source:
Microsoft-Windows-WinRM).

Windows Vista 64-bit Oracle 11.1.0.7
I am doing a silent creation of the database which creates the database fine but the OEM - Web front end is not created. I have run netca to create a listener before database creation. Here is my exact syntax I am using from the command prompt:
dbca -silent -sysPassword oracle -systemPassword oracle -continueOnNonFatalErrors true -gdbName 11GORA01 -createDatabase -templateName Test11g -emConfiguration LOCAL -dbsnmpPassword oracle -sysmanPassword oracle
If I then use dbca to try & configure the database options there is an error saying there is no appropriate listener found. There is one thing I did notice that when I did lsnrctl status the database name was in lower case and using the dbca the message 'Configure additional components for database "11GORA01" - is in upper case. Not sure if this is the problem.
Any help would be fantastic

Ipod Mini won't configure

Not sure where to post this. I'm at my whit's end and would appreciate some help. I mistakenly configured my ipod to a computer which is in another state and I think it is recognizing it as my "home computer". Today I uninstalled the software on the computer I am using now and tried to reinstall it. (it was connected fine until I messed with it, which I did to reinstall iTunes)Now it won't configure to this computer and I have no access to the other one! It happens to be my mother's house, so I called and had her uninstall all the ipod software on that computer, but I'm sure that isn't going to do anything. I have found it impossible to get help from Apple. Any advice? Thanks!!!

What happens when you try to set up your iPod in your home computer?
Is your iPod configured at your mom's house on a Mac or Windows?

While a Windows formatted iPod may work on a Mac, Apple supports this configuration only with iPod shuffle.

IMAP email won't configure

I'm trying to configure my "g.ucla.edu" email id. As this is through Google Apps, I need to set it up as IMAP. I have followed the google instructions to do so for android, but the phone just won't accept it! My other "gmail.com" email id works just fine. I need this fixed as my school id is very important

Refurbished Mini--Won't Configure

I put in the install disk and stuff and when it gets to the Configuration it won't read it. Whenever I try to turn it on I get the ipod support address.

EMac won't configure LaserWriter 4/600

I had to replace my hard drive last month and since then I can't use my LW 4/600 which I connect via AsanteTalk. I was using it on OS 9.2 before the crash, now the chooser won't let me configure or setup although it does show an icon for both LW and LW 8 printers.
I tried loading the LW 8 driver found on this website and that didn't work.
Then I tried downloading printer drivers for my OS 10.2 from both Gutenprint and Linux but everything goes fine until I have to hit the ADD button which is grayed out.
I have the printer software on 5 old floppies but my eMac will only take a CD.
Both OS X and OS 9.2 have been reloaded, I have tried powering out of the Asante and the printer, I have tried everything I have read to do on this site and nothing works. I really thought the software should have been included in the OS 9.
I have worked literally for days on this problem and I have a terrific headache.
Help would be much appreciated.

Your Asantetalk is a USB to localtalk adapter? Or, are you talking about an ethernet to localtalk connection and not USB?
If it is really ethernet, you are probably losing your IP address when you disconnect from satelite. In OS X Network prefs, create a new "Location" (I'd call it printing or something like that) where you set configure built-in ethernet Manually and enter a local-only IP address like 192.168.1.5, and also turn on appletalk.
Now, when you want to print, go to prefs and change location to "printing."

New Hard Drive Won't Configure

I just bought a new Hard Drive (Crucial 256gb SSD) and physically installed it. However I am having problems configuring it. When I C or option boot and go to Diskutil and erase/partition the drive I get the same error: "POSIX reports: the operation could not be completed. Could not allocate memory. The drive shows up in my Diskutil manager and its S.M.A.R.T. status is verified." I don't know what to do, please help. Thanks

It was not your internal drive that failed or the SSD that has the problem. It is, more then likely, the cable that goes from the drive to the logic board that has failed. Replace that cable and I bet the original drive will work and you will not get that error when you try to configure and install OS X on the SSD.
I bet you have a 2009 model Macbook Pro. Is that correct? Apple used Cheap cables on that year MBP.
If you do a search you will find many have had to replace that cable.

SL3000 + FC-SCSI connection to Solaris 10 x86, Update 6 won't configure

1. New SL3000 installed and configured
2. SL3000 is connected/zoned into FC switches presenting itself over FC-SCSI port to Solaris 10 x86 update 6 (fully patched) hosts
3. Appears on fabric like so:

Ports on FC switch suggest thousands of "invalid transmitted word" errors per hour - and this is just the SCSI-FC robot control port!
Tried:
a) Reboots
b) luxadm probe
c) cfgadm -c configure -o force_update blah
d) checking zoning over and over
e) entire library reboot
f) entire switch reboot
Thoughts/comments/what could be going wrong?

Old Ipod won't configure on computer

I have a great new 80GB ipod that works great. but I also have one of the first models of a 20GB ipod with the 4 buttons below the screen and not on the click wheel that I have been trying to get working again. It was working fine until one day all my music had disappeared off the ipod and when i hooked it up to the computer nothing happened because it wasn't being recognized or something. Having gotten a new ipod I removed all files from the first ipod off my computer. I am now trying to use the software to beable to use it again, except the computer doesn't recognize the device. When the software asks to configure the ipod, i click ok, and it does nothing. It just kind of freezes up. So probably it is in need of repair, but if anyone knows a better solution, i'd love to hear it.

It does sound like your iPod is showing up in iTunes, in which case the above links aren't helpful. Make sure iTunes is up-to-date. Also, what happens if you Cancel the iPod configuration?

Corporate Email won't configure via BIS

I work for HP and am not able to configure my email using BIS via IMAP. I have confirmed the IMAP works on my system, via Outlook Express, but cannot get the BB (Storm) to connect at all.
I am using the settings provided and have talked to Verizon for over an hour with no resolution there either.
The message I get from BIS site is "An Error occurred during email account validation. Please check your information and try again." Others at my company are using their BB, although not Storms, with IMAP and have no issue whatsoever.

Further update: I forwarded the problem email back to my wife's iPad and it now renders fine. Something to do with header on the original mail maybe? It was not corrupt as my wife could view and print it OK on her PC Gmail account.

Intel EtherExpress Pro/10+ ISA finds, but won't configure

Okay, I know that the Intel Ether Express Pro/10+ PCI cards are supported by Sol 8/IA, and I am trying to use an ISA card... is there any way to make it work?
I have done an install with 'no network', done a sys-unconfig, done a reconfig boot -- all like the help instructions say to do if you have an unsupported NIC card, but I still cannot get it to work. It says that it fails to set the IP address (and yes, it is a unique IP).
Any suggestions as to how I can make this card work?
I have also tried 3Com 3C905B PCI and cannot get it to work either. I have no problems with the Intel card working in other O/Ses... but can't seem to get any O/S to like the 3Com card.

Try this workaround for this issue for 3com NIC card.
Step 1.
Create a file /etc/hostname.elxl0
Step 2.
Edit /etc/hostname.elxl0 file and add the hostname entry in to this file
Example:
osiris
Step 3.
Edit /etc/hosts file and add IP address and hostname entry in to this file.
129.158.230.190 osiris
Step 4
Reboot the system with reconfiguration option.
b -r
if it is not successful try for another workaroud.
Step 1. Insert the 3COM NIC card in to the system.
Step 2: prtconf -v | grep pci
Example:
prtconf -v shows:
pci8086,7112
pci8086,7113
pci8086,5345
pci10b7,1000 <- 3com
Step 3. In file /etc/driver_aliases, look for the driver that matched the
chipset
on the card. One of them is elxl for the 3com chipset.
Example:
/etc/driver_aliases:
elx "pci10b7,5900"
elx "pci10b7,5950"
elxl "pci10b7,9000"
elxl "pci10b7,9001"
elxl "pci10b7,9050"
elxl "pci10b7,9055"

Step 5. Add the following lines to support the card in Device Configuration
Assistant:

Add the entries in /boot/solaris/devicedb/master file, under PCI
devices

Step 6. Run "devlinks".
Step 7. Reboot the system with b -r option.

Need help AT-dsp2200 won't configure with 4.9.01f nidaq

Recently tried to up grade to 5.1 labview from 5.0 this cause me
to loose controlle of me AT-dsp 2200 card to make a long story
short I have now gone to back to labview 5.0 with 4.9.0.1F and used the
device manger to install the DSP cca then set the adress to the defaut
140 then go back to the nidaq and try to run the configution test and
at this point I get an error that saids that my cca does not responed
at this adress I Know the cca is good.

Problem solved - in this instance what we needed to do (and not documented ANYWHERE) is to save the configuration prior to attempting to test that configuration. Without doing so, the message one gets is that the card is not responding at that base address setting.
The detail I've provided is minimal, and serves only to act as a reminder should we encounter the problem somewhere down the line...if anyone out there wants more elaborate detail, I'd be happy to provide it...I have email notification set on if someone replies to this message, so I will see the request.

Azure Website domain won't configure

I have tried to setup a custom domain for DNS for an Azure Website running on Shared infrastructure (the one above the Free tier).
I have added a CNAME record 24 hours ago called awverify.mydomain.com and awverify.www.mydomain.com (I did both). I can see it in various MX record lookup tools online, and have been able to see that for about 24 hours. However, when I try to
add the domain into the Custom domains dialog in Azure I see this error:
"The DNS record for 'mydomain.com' that points to 'mydomain.azurewebsites.net' could not be located. If you want to configure and A record, you must first create a CNAME record with your DNS provider for ..."
I keep getting this message, even though it has been a long time (24 hours) in domain terms. Does anyone know why this is? Do I have to wait 48 hours when the CNAME record has already propagated across the web?

So when I understand correctly, you already have a website running at www.yourdomain.com and want to move this existing web site to Azure Web Sites.
You already created the Azure Web Sites name <yourwebsitename>.azurewebsites.net.
And you created a CNAME in your domain from awverify.www to awverify.<yourwebsitename>.azurewebsites.net (Note: the destination does not contain the www part!).

Help - my airport won't configure

I have been using an airport express for a few months now and it has been working fine. Last night it stopped working and I tried to fix it but I think I have made matters worse! It is now telling me that airport is not configured and doesn't even recognise that I have an airport express plugged in in the same room (when I turn on the airport utility it says it can't find any wireless airport devices).
I'm really stuck as to what to do now and was hoping someone could help me as I am relying on being plugged into the ethernet at the moment which is thoroughly annoying!

You need to give us a bit more information.
1. When you fixed it, did you reset it?
2. Does your express "join" your network through another router?
3. When you look for access points broadcasting in your neighbourhood, do you see it?
4. Is the light green on the AX, or is it blinking yellow?
I'm guessing here ...
If you reset the AX, it is probably broadcasting as an independent access point that is separate from your main access point. You will have to connect to your AX through ethernet cable, and reconfigure it to join and existing network (that being the network created by your primary access point.)

Wrt-160n won't configure Wi-Fi protected

I am not able to configure my Wi-Fi protected, just manual is done. I have a wrt-160n v3, and make the update of the router, but that change nothing. Anybody have an idea, why I can not configure Wi-Fi.
