Wintv-hvr850

IM having problems. I'm triing to stream video from my hard drive..I have wintv-hvr850. In encoder i see my devise in the drop menu on encoder but both screens are blank. i think it has something to do with defualt setting on tv tuner like you said to other guy..something about using s cables..but im not even triing to use tv right now..just triing to stream fron hard drive..Is it possible that even though i am playing the video i want to watch on the tv tuner that the encoder is triing to stream a live show from the cable connection instead of the file im playing on the tv tuner?

QUESTION..is it possible to just convert my video's into a flash
format? Then would i be able to just stream them with the Adobe
encoder? I see the sample tab that lets me browse my computer for
files? Some one told me about Avermedia Hybred max tv tuner that i
just went and bought, but still having same problems. This one said it
works with windows 200 but i have a feeling my processor isnt fast
enough. Think i have old pentium 2 processor on my sony laptop, not
the pentium 4 it says system requires so another wasted $80 i guess.
damn this is getting expensive triing to learn this.
What would be my best bet on triing to find a way to do simple
streaming to justin tv/ustream. I guess my comuters are kinda old and
out of date with the speeds so i'm having a hard time finding
compatible stuff to work with the machines i got.My compaq runs off an
AMD processor and my laptop XP 2000 PRO...I dont need the best stuff
just something that works that i can have fun playing around with. I
got some old surf movies i want to stream on justin tv or ustream. I
tries that seetoo program but it has no controls to try and limit the
lagging and other problems and freezes up most the time, problably
because of my internet connection is only a 277kbps up speed

  • Hauppauge WinTV HVR 850 - cannot load module

    Hi,
    I recently got TV and thought i'd give a try to a tuner card and record some stuff on my PC.
    I read on the net, and the cheapest, yet linux-ok was the Hauppauge WinTV HVR 850, so i got that one.
    I read alot on the net about it to make it work. I tried pretty much everything i could, but now i'm giving up.
    I saw it needs the au0828 driver, as you can see in /usr/src/linux-2.6.39-jni/drivers/media/video/au0828/au0828-cards.c
    [AU0828_BOARD_HAUPPAUGE_HVR850] = {
    .name = "Hauppauge HVR850",
    .tuner_type = TUNER_XC5000,
    .tuner_addr = 0x61,
    .i2c_clk_divider = AU0828_I2C_CLK_30KHZ,
    .input = {
    However, when booting, it seems to use cx231xx/cx25840 and those seem to crash miserably.
    here is what i can see in dmesg :

    Here are some more info. I am still totally lost in this though.
    I managed to get rid of the driver issue posted above.
    I plugged in analogic cable and tvtime would show some images, but with no sound (despite me trying every possible channel my alsa has to offer).
    I then tried plugging in the cable directly from the wall, without using the decoder... image went black and i couldn't see a thing (as i thought).
    However, now that i went back to my original setup (simply plug in, plug out and plug back in... simple as that), i no longer have the picture!
    Here are some verbose output from tvtime and xawtv. If someone can understand something out of that, help would be greatly appreciated!

  • Hauppauge WinTV-HVR 95Q TV TUNER not working with windows 8.1 HP TouchSmart 15 Notebook PC

    I've updated all drivers I can find from the manufracturer.  Are there any other HP drivers I need?  This worked fine on Windows 7 without having to update to a 'Pro with Media Center' edition.  I've updated to Windows 8.1 Pro with Media Center.  Another comsumer had their question answered here: http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Desktop-Operating-Systems-Software-Recovery/TV-TUNER-not-working-with-w...
    Was going to ask if there was a driver for the Hauppague tuner there but it wouldn't let me post a question asking if there was one of those drivers for the Hauppauge WinTV-HVR 950Q.

    I updated all drivers to their latest versoins before beginning.  Waiting on response from vendor.

    Hi,
    Have a look here:
    http://www.hauppauge.com/site/support/support_pvrusb2.html
    A valid WinTV application CDROM will be needed to install this WinTV v6 version. Any WinTV-NOVA version 4x, WinTV-PVR, WinTV version 6 or WinTV v7 application CD can be used during the install. If you do not have your original WinTV CD-ROM but would like to update to this WinTV v6 version, you can purchase a new CD on the Hauppauge webstore.
    I don't think HP will provide anything as you said that the desktop is a second hand and the CD should have been provided by the original owner. In case that you don't want to spend much money there is always some torrent servers where the WinTV app CD can be downloaded from.

  • WinTv Tuner Help

    My HP Pavilion has a WinTv-1260 card in it.  The card seems to work fine except I cannot capture video or audio from the front ports of the PC.  I can capture it from the ports on the card itself in the back.  I suspect that HP may have done something wrong with the wires that lead to the front ports.  Any advice on troubleshooting.
    HP chat was no help at all.  PC is still under warrantee (this feature never worked)

    I disabled stereo mix in my sound setting in recording and have only a option to use my hauppauge tv card as line in for sound, but thats impossible for me, and now FMLE 3.2 also freezes a lot and not responding, same is happening when i try using normal stream with manycams and a videofile,no sound ,but good stream, so its the sound problem i cant fix at all here .
    Any good tips would be very appreciate, heck i would even paypal you 20 bucks if you can help me with this .
    Thanks.

    Hello,thanks for your help, yes i understand that by now, i called support.
    So what do you suggest i do,so i can stream from my computer true my tv card and out,is there a 3 part i can use who handle this then use FMLE ?

  • Will eyetv v 7 drive wintv 950q tv tuner on Mac?

  • Hauppuage WinTV...I give up.

    I really liked my WinTV PCI card and its served me well. I LIKE watching tv in a window while I'm surfing and doing stuff on the computer.
    Since upgrading to P4 2.4 with MSI-645 combo mboard my WinTV just won't play ball (freeze and crash) so I'm ditching it and getting something else that will hopefully work. I know its a well known and documented compatibility issue but I've tried everything to get it working properly. Alas, no joy.
    Can people out there recommend a TV tuner card that WILL work properly with my current setup?
    MSI TV@nywhere is currently top of the list since its made by MSI it should work with their own motherboard. I don't care about anything else. I just want to watch tv in a window thats always on top.
    Then there's lifeview FlyTV USB2.0 but its a new product and I'll have to wait till it gets in the shops here. (Melbourne, Australia)
    I was also thinking of a USB option but I really do prefer a PCI tuner. What do people think about going to a USB tv tuner? Does it utilise more CPU time and slow things down?
    Any help, recommendations and product condemnation highly appreciated! :-)

  • IMac and Hauppauge WinTV-HVR900 and eyeTV2

    Dear all,
    I'm from Singapore and this is my virgin post.
    I bought a 24" iMac recently... I connect it to Hauppauge WinTV-HVR900 (a windows product) through USB2 and install eyeTV2... and BINGO! I can watch TV on my iMac in mac OS (able to receive both digital and analogue signals).
    Works great, in fact smooth as butter. The resolution is GOOD even at full screen mode.
    eyeTV2 integrates with FrontRow and compatible with Apple Remote. I'm able to switch channels or to view program listing in full screen mode from a distance from my iMac using the Apple Remote, just like watching normal TV.
    A good alternative to Miglia and Elgato which is very expensive here.
    some pics to show

    Wow, thanks for that, I might consider getting that! :]

  • Creative Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS With WinTV Expr

    Hi,
    I am using a Creative Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS sound card, and I recently purchased a Hauppauge WinTV Express card, I have installed the card with no problems, but it says I have to connect a wire from the Line Out port on the WinTV card into the line In port on my sound card. I cannot find a line in port onm the back of my sound card so I am getting so sound from WinTV. Can anyone please tell me how to set it up correctly?
    Thanks for your help,
    MJJOS.

    The Line In jack is the second jack from the Digital Out jack. If you have problem locating those jack, you can checkup the user guide too.

  • Hauppage WinTV Capture card

    Hello,
    I am trying to use a Hauppauge WinTV/878/9 capture card with
    Flash Media Encoder.
    But every time I do, the input and the output window are just
    blue.
    When I double check with an app such as WinTV2000, I have no
    problem to watch tv shows.
    Is that card deprecated?
    TIA

    Thanks for the quick response and for understanding what i'm
    trying to do. Greatly appreciated.
    What you're saying makes sense..however, I'm completely
    illiterate when it comes to windows.
    If someone could walk me through the steps on how to schedule
    FME in the windows task scheduler, it would be greatly appreciated!
    Of course, if anyone knows if WIN TV can play simultaneously,
    that would alleviate all the woes, b/c they provide an easy
    interface for scheduling.

  • WinTV PVR 250 compatibility ?

    Hello,
    Does anyone know if the PCI card WinTV PVR 250 from Hauppauge is compatible with a SIS 655 chipset based mainboard like the 655 MAX ?
    At this time it is not even recognized by the system, it worked rather fine on a VIA system Abit board.

    I also am having this issue, tried the PVR-250 in different slots, removed each PCI devie and tried.  My system beeps an error code whenever the card is inserted, and never posts. I have the GNB Max MS-6565 Board.  If anyone can figure this out please email me at [email protected]

  • Problem installing wintv-hvr-2200 in my Elite 8300 PCI X1

    Hi all!
    I do have some trouble trying to install my wintv hvr 2200 in my Elite 8300 pci express x1. My computer doesen´t recognize it at all so my best guess would be that drivers is missing. The strange thing is that my grafic-card is installed in another pci-slot(not x1) and does work fine.
    I've tried installing drivers from HP but i'm lost thou i don't really know what drivers i'm looking for.
    Anyway, in BIOS every PCI-slot i enabled and I have tried disable and enable it without any results.
    OS is Windows 7 Proffessional installed last saturday and every Windows update is installed.
    The TV-card doesn't apear in the device manager.
    Any thoughts? what should I do?
    Best regards,
    Timmy

    Is this a new card? I have dealt with Hauppauge via the support page and on the phone. Excellent support.
    What verison of WIN 7?    Windows Media Center is included in Windows 7 Home Premium, Professional, and Ultimate editions.
