Winxp, Any pdf download into Adobe Reader 9.1, do not working...

Hi Everyones,
I have Adobe 9.1, It was working... when I update to adobe 10 was not work and I go back to A. Reader 9.1 not working, darn it... so
I could be wrong, I believe A. R. 10 are not for my Laptop... below.
Dell Inspiron l 1200
Intel (R) Celeron (R) M Processor 1.40 GHz
1.40 Ghz, 1.24 GB of Ram
I delete A.R. 9.1 into recycle bin and delete from ADD/REMOVE under Panel Control then reinstall A.Reader 9.1 and I test one of long letter for .pdf to download, pop up sign and ask me which one, I let them find it for me instead of me choose it. Follow page it said need download for Adobe Reader but I already did twice. It does not working.
I have trouble with Adobe Flash I search Adobe Forum for it and found Google Crome that might help Adobe Player.  I thought Google Chrome will work for all of Adobe Reader and Player... I realized it does not working. What is Best version for my laptop also How can I solves this problem?

I got your email, thank you... and I do not know who can I talk to but here is what I complain about
the forum right after I register, yesterday. I check my email and see if I get any Welcome letter
from Adobe Forum. I was shocked the two stranger member from adobe Forum got my email
address and one of them send me naked picture and another one I was afraid to open it and I delete
both of them and found Welcome letter from Adobe Forum. (thank you)  I check not sure which one
my account or my stuff and I see that my email address is hide and how do both stranger got
my email address?  I want to resign this Adobe Forum and everything that relate to Adobe.
Ok, Pat... I give you more information and there is office 2007 that I do not have.  Maybe you want
to have my information what *exactly* I am doing... see below.
Right after, I delete from Add/Remove under Control Panel, I check recycle bin and "New Briefcase" none
adobe on list then found Adobe icon (Adobe Reader 9.1.1) still there on desktop. I delete it and the pop
up sign said two things like Add/Remove or Shortcut. I choose Shortcut and then check Add/Remove
and program none on list... then I once again check Recycle Bin it was there I delete it... now all done.
But I have not try reinstall it. Kind to help me how to cancellation my Adobe's accounts from this Forum?

  • I can't complete any PDF downloads with Adobe Reader

    I had Adobe Reader X with this problem then uninstalled X, then installed Adobe Reader XI and still I can't complete any PDF file downloads on Explorer with Windows 8 with out the explorer downloader document page crashing. Then some times when I have the option to "save to" the PDF doc to a download file I can open it from there. Most all existing PDF files open fine.

    No more than just one person (thanks) tried to help me out!
    I FIXED IT....
    The problem was you could say a self conflict of Adobe reader. The software would not shut down any instances. It just would not quit, weather I had turned off my PC or otherwise. If I tried to run a instance of Adobe reader then failed, then tried again, the number of times I tried would still continue and would not stop when trying to "End Task" with the "Task Manager" in the "processes" section, then when I did succeeded inaddition to "Processes" was more in the "Details" section of "Task Manager" that would not stop!!
    I down loaded "Acrobat Cleaner" and ran it immediately selecting Adobe Reader to be removed, after startup of my PC and it removed all installations.
    I then proceeded to find all other "Adobe Reader" downloaded files and just dragged them to the Recycle bin.
    That then gave me the chance to do a very clean install, and it worked with out faltering.
    If you are having any major problems, do a clean out of Adobe Reader of all old versions and install the one that suits your computer.
    Acrobat Reader now loads very fast, like I mean very fast!!

    I have copied a table from a web page that has a PDF button, but how do I paste that into Adobe Reader?

    I do not quite understand the "table with a PDF button"; but if this is a linked or embedded PDF file, just download the file and open it with Adobe Reader.
    If it is just a normal (HTML) table, you can copy and paste it into any document editor like Word, etc.

    Any updates to the OP's question? I'm with a large government agency, and we're moving away from GoodReader for reasons I can't go into here, and the ability to add user-defined bookmarks within the app is a mandatory feature for the document reader we select. I have the latest version of Adobe Reader (11.6.1) installed on my government iPad, and the ability to add user-defined bookmarks still seems to be missing. Does Adobe have any plans to add this feature, or is it already present and I'm simply overlooking it?

    If you go to your applications folder (Go>Applications) do you have Adobe Reader in there? If you open Adobe Reader and choose File>Open are you able to open a pdf file?

  • Reflow in Adobe Reader for Android does not work

    The reflow option in my Adobe reader for Android does not work. The PDF book I am trying to read is too wide to be legible when I fit it into the screen (even in landscape), but the reflow button doesn't change that. When I click it, nothing happens. The only thing I know to do is to uninstall and re-install, but that did not work. Any other tips or ideas?

    It does not appear as though the PDF I am trying to read would have an element in it that would block it from reflow, but that is always possible. It’s a textbook, and I understand that toward the end of the book there are some charts and diagrams, but I haven’t gotten to those chapters yet. So far, I’ve just been trying to use the Adobe Reader to read the introduction and first chapter and nothing I have done has made it reflow.
    I’m enclosing a copy of the entire book. Perhaps you can uncover something in it that I didn’t see.

  • Can't print any PDFs after installing adobe Reader x version 10 - help!

    I am using Windows XP professional SP 3 and Google Chrome as a web browser.
    Everything worked OK until the upgrade to Reader 10 - I have removed the Adobe reader and reinstalled and no luck.
    I am not able to print PDF's from the internet nor within other programs.
    What should I do?

    This helped me out, works perfectly now. (using OS 10.8.5)
    Remove from the folder /Library/Internet Plug-Ins:
    1) AdobePDFViewer.plugin
    2) AdobePDFViewerNPAPI.plugin
    backup these plugins - just in case.

    Adobe Reader doesn't support multimedia.
    You need to use a paid PDF reader like PDF Expert.

  • I am trying to download and install adobe reader, but it is not working. Everytime I try, I get the download but when I try to install it, it goes somewhere but not on my screen for me to install. If I try to install again, it says only one copy can be in

    I am trying to download Adobe Reader, I have Windows 7 on my PC. Every time I get the download, I click on it to install the program, and I get the usual messages but I never get the install message. When I try the download again, I get a message telling me only one copy of the program can go on the computer. When I check the program list, it is not there. I have to restore my computer before I can attempt the download and install again. I have tried this at least 6 times but cannot install Adobe Reader. Please help me out with this. I really like this product and prefer to use it. I had o originally delete the program, due to an update conflict.

    You can try using this tool to first remove all traces of Reader from your computer:

    Then, you can download the full offline Reader installer from
    http://get.adobe.com/reader/enterprise/
    After downloading, restart your computer and run the installer before doing anything else.

  • The "portable document format" icon is a Word 2010 icon, so selecting Adobe Reader as action does not work to display the PDF.

    In the Applications tab -- Content Type -- the "portable document format" icon is a Word 2010 icon (not Adobe), so selecting Adobe Reader or preview in Firefox as action does not work to display the PDF. I can see this Applications difference because my other Firefox laptop has the Adobe icon, and I can view PDFs. Essentially, a PDF is coming in as a Word document -- and the computer tries to open it up as a Word file.
    How do I get the correct PDF icon in the Applications list -- the same way it displays (and works) on my other laptop.

    I think you need to add this to the list of applications and the action to take on the type of content. This can also be managed in the about:permissions page. [[Permissions Manager - Give certain websites the ability to store passwords, set cookies and more]]

  • Adobe Read Out Loud feature not working

    Anyone else run into this.  We activate it, it scans the document looking for tags, then does not read it.  Any ideas?

    Just been trying to sort this one out myself, I noticed that you tried re-installing Adobe Reader with the same result.
    Could it be that, when you installed the first time / updated and then re-installed, Adobe Reader Protected Mode was automatically re-applied by default. Read Out Loud will not function while in Protected Mode.
    You must disable it to hear Read Out Loud document reader, it is quite safe to disable this additional security function, and the only way to make it work.
    To disable Adobe Reader XI Protected Mode
    - Open Adobe Reader
    - Click menu item Edit
    - Select Preferences
    - Preference panel opens
    - Select Security (Enhanced) in Categories list
    - Uncheck Enable Protected Mode at Startup
    - Dialog opens Click Yes
    - Close Preferences
    - Close/Restart Adobe Reader
    - Open a document you wish to read
    - Activate Read Out Loud
    - Choose Option to read Page or Whole Document
    - or setup for Reading with the Accessability Assistant.
    Hope this is the answer you are looking for, my Read Out Loud feature is functioning fine now it had me baffled for a while, thought my sound card was malfunctioning.

    I don't want to mess things up even more! Geez--I'm almost 60 years old,
    need to work and this might be costing me a job. I'm not 20 and text and
    e-mail etc every day. I'm just asking for a little help that as I see it ,
    is due to a "glitch" with Adobe's software. They can easily in their
    technological minds put a warning on anything before someone downloads
    anything such as "If you download this and you  have already downloaded
    that,, then it won't work." How tough would that be??? They, like most other
    major corporations, are in it for the money. What has happened to customer

    I need a step by step with my hand held and so it won't screw up things even
    MORE. Adobe...get your customer service and your software together...This is
    draining. I may lose a job over it. I need to have my computer running well
    at this point in time as there is no extra time to spend dealing with
    software issue that are a result of Adobe's software incompatibility.
    I was on the phone for TWO hours last night telling people exactly what was
    going on. I even read the error message word for word. No one would help me
    unless I coughed up the money that I don't have...and in addition I will
    lose a job that might get me some money. This is why I am so upset. Why is
    dealing with Adobe always so difficult??? Of course, I am upset. I'm
    actually a lovely person. It is just that this stuff rattles my nerves.
    Especially when there is a jobwith a raiseinvolved that I may lose as a

    Now I had better get dressed and ready for the job I have now before I am
    late for work and lose that job, too.....
