Winzip Error

Hi Team,
I have downloaded version - sqldeveloper-3.0.03.45.zip but i get the below error -->
WinZip
Cannot open file: it does not appear to be a valid archive.
If you downloaded this file, try downloading the file again.
OK Help
Is this the valid zip file.
I have been using sql developer version - 2.1.1.64.45 from long time now without any much issues.

Winzip error for par file

Hi,
I have downloaded the winzip par file com.sap.portal.support.browse for the mast head and when i try to extract the par.bak file from it i get a winzip error. I am on windows vista with winzip 8.1. Also tried unzipping with winrar but get the same error. Wondering if there is a solution to this problem ? Error is below

Do not extract the com.sap.portal.support.browse, just rename it to the corresponding name with par.bak format.
or
You can directly get the par.bak file using below steps,
System Admin -> Support -> Portal Runtime -> Browse Deployment -> press the link download -> press the button on the window "Open" -> extract the par.bak file

Cannot view swf files

In trying to view an swf in winzip, error message pops up:
"Your system is not configured to properly view this file."
Installed winzip 11.1, latest version of flash and shockwave ,
using Windows XP . Please help.

There is known issue with xcelsius 2008 when exported to PPT..
Check this and do the work around mentioned.. it will work,but very slow.
I don't know its a problem with xcelsius or with my laptop?

9iAS can't be unzip

I have download Oracle 9iAS but I cannot unzip the file.
The WinZips error message is "Cannot open file: it does not appear to be a valid archive. If you downloaded this file, try to download it again". This happen to all the files that I donwload about 9iAS. Can u help me?

I've got the same problem (exact same error) with the 8i Personal Edition zip file. I've downloaded it two different times, and I've tried unzipping on multiple machines.
I finally found the link to this file (thanks to this forum), but now I've got another hurdle. Help!

Installing Oracle Forms Developer 9i

1) I downloaded the trial version (free 30 days) of Oracle Forms Developer 9i and burned the application onto 2 separate disks at my college computer lab. The files were downloaded from the Oracle website as ZIP files.
2) Next, I made a directory (folder) on my desktop entitled:
C:\Documents and Settings\Julie
Harris\Desktop\OracleFormsDev into which I copied the 2 zip files.
3) Finally, I clicked on the first zipped Oracle file and had it extract into a directory that I specified called c:programFiles\OracleFormsDeveloper\
4) The problem is that now I have several (almost 100) files that were extracted from the 2 zip files and don't know which one to click on to install the program in the program files directory on my PC.
During the unzipping process with Winzip, I got a Winzip error that says: " I/O error. Unable to read from zip file." during the time that Winzip was attempting to extract the oembase.jar portion of the Oracle Program.
The Disk 1 files are extracted and I am currently extracting the disk 2 files; however, I don't know what file to click on to install the program once everything is unzipped. I don't see a setup.exe file; however I did notice autorun.exe on the 1st of the 2 CDs. Should I click on autorun.exe to install Oracle Forms Developer?
If I need to learn some other necessary steps to properly install this program, please let me know. I need to use the program do complete my class project.

if you are saying that one of the zip file was corrupted, chances are that you don't have all the files copied. The Developer Suite can be downloaded from OTN.

Cannot unzip Oracle8i Enterprise edition

I am trying to download & install Oracle8i Enterprise; cannot unzip files - get WinZips error message "Cannot open file: it does not appear to be a valid archive. If you downloaded this file, try to download it again". I tried it di not work.

Handango - Any alternatives for software?

Are there any alternatives to Handango for purchasing software for my Curve 8310? Handango stinks.
1. Purchased 2 software titles there today. Downloaded to PC. Went to Unzip and received WinZip error message.. "Cannot open file: it does not appear to be a valid archive".
- Deleted from desktop and tried 2 more times. Same message.
- Tried to Open from the Order form. Same message.
2. Handango's website continually crashes when trying to navigate (Page not found)... forced to keep trying.. sometimes the link goes through.
Couldn't seem to find any forum or support group for Handango.
BTW, I'm using WinZip 9.0 SR-1.
Left an e-mail about this with their Customer Support, but I hate relying on others to get back to me. I will GLADLY PAY for long-distance costs.. just give me a telephone number.
No telephone number to call.. Took some searching to find a telephone number. When you do call their Corporate offices for support, you get a message they're only open 9-5 CST M-Th and 9-12 CST F. Well, duh.. some of us work during the week.

Error opening an uploaded Winzip file

Hi
I have uploaded a zipped file into the portal, but when I click on it, it gives me an error that the file is corrupt. I checked the file, and locally on my harddrive, it opens up perfectly.
I tested it with a couple of files.. and the only ones that opens is zipped text documents.
Anyone have encountered the same problem and maybe know how to resolve it.

Error while importing logon par file

Hi
I have to do logon page customisation for that i have taken com.sap.portal.runtime.logon.par.bak file from basis team and i saved it to my desktop .Now i have renamed it to com.sap.portal.runtime.logon.par and trying to import to my NWDS.
So i opend EP perspective file->import->browsed the par file in place of Archive file name when i click on finish it is showing the error "invalid END header(bad central directory offset).
"The plugin com.sap.portal.plugins.config-archiver"caused an exception during the unpack operation.see log for more details"
Can anybody please let me know the reason for this error .

After renaming com.sap.portal.runtime.logon.par.bak to com.sap.portal.runtime.logon.par. Try opening the file with winrar/winzip to see if you have a right par file structure. On some portal versions, when you open com.sap.portal.runtime.logon.par file, you have again a com.sap.portal.runtime.logon.par file inside it.
So if you find com.sap.portal.runtime.logon.par file inside com.sap.portal.runtime.logon.par. Then just extract it again and try importing it into NWDS.

How do I install Elements for Windows 7 PC with 64 bit? Get error message - file archive part missing

We purchased Elements 12 and Premiere Elements 12 on September 7, 2014 and have tried a variety of things including searching through FAQs on the Adobe site, etc. etc. and cannot get our downloads to work. We are avid computer users and have never had problems downloading software before.
From our account under "orders" - I have tried clicking on the Akamai download manager and the Alternate Download Method on for each application with the same results.
We have a Windows 7 PC with a 64 bit operating system and Internet Explorer 11.
On all attempts we get an Adobe screen with 2 links – 1 for a file ending in .7z and a 2nd file ending in .exe.
I click on the first file and confirm the download completes at 100% (not paused, etc.) and is in the downloads folder for my user name on the PC.
I click on the 2nd link for .exe and I receive the error message below – 2nd screen shot – “file archive is missing” all folders/files must be in same folder.
So I see it’s a winzip file (as a winzip pop up folder had come up also) so I download the free version and unzip the files in the same downloads folder under my user name to try that.
I click on .exe file link again and same message. I tried copying the files directly to the downloads folder (as they all unzipped into a subfolder called PSE 12 and tried clicking on .exe again but get the same message.
For Premiere I tried the same and got same results on the 64 bit version download.
I do not know how to access the software we purchased.
Any help or advice is appreciated.
Also - if anyone knows how I can contact Adobe for a full refund so I can just buy the boxed software instead - that would be helpful as well as that is not easy to find online either.

I get an error message saying that the quicktime installer will only work on 32 bit
The QuickTime player works on 64-bit systems. (It's a 32-bit application, but it should run fine using the standard 32-bit-on-64-bit Windows-on-Windows emulation.)
What's the precise text of your installation error message, dc? (There one or two different ones I can think of that might mention 32-bit)

Pc cannot install purchased photo elements 13. Error message appears: File archive part missing from Adobe Photo Elements 13. You need all parts in the same folder in order to extract Adobe Photoshop 13. please download all parts.

Apologies for your incovinience.
Requesting you to please go to https://www.adobe.com/cfusion/tdrc/index.cfm?product=photoshop_elements&loc=us. When you click on download button (after selecting your OS details), it should open a new browser window (which will launch the Akamai installer automatically). Please cancel any installation or error shown.
The newly opened browser page will look something like this:
As highlighted, please click on these links (one by one) and see if it downloads the required files. The downloaded files will be compressed with 7z format. If you have some extracting tool (like WinZip) try extracting it. If you don't have it, download 7z. Its a free utility from Microsoft. Once downloaded and installed, you will be able to extract file and locate the PSE setup.
Please let me know if you face any issues.

Cannot delete file - tried everything - file in use by Windows Explorer error

Hi - I have tried now for 2-3 hours trying to delete an .mkv file from my "Downloads" folder
It says the file is in use by Windows Explorer and cannot be deleted
I have tried deleting it using Del command prompt as me and as Administrator (I am the Admnistrator, there are no other users) - no luck
I have tried Safe Boot and then deleting - no luck
I have tried rebooting many times and then deleting - no luck
Any ideas? It's driving me nuts

hi to all who have this bug- "file in use by Windows Explorer error"
this is the only way that it works:
1.type cmd in search box
2.go to the drive and the directory the file is in ,for example:
after you type cmd you have a black screen with c:\user\
type in the drive the file is in and hit enter example - d: than hit enter
than you should see d:\>
now click the directory the problem file is in ,for example i will call the directory "movies" type in this- cd movies
now you will see this d:\movies>
to delete the file type this: del filename.mkv (dont forget the .mkv or any other file extension) don't hit enter yet, first open task manager (cntrl+shift+esc) go to process tab than right click on explorer.exe choose and click on end process
now your desktop should disappear. get back to the "cmd" window and hit enter.
now the file is deleted. now go back to the task manager and click on "file" on the upper left corner then on new task then type in "explorer.exe"
and you are done
please note that the file name you choose to delete cant be with spaces between the letters .if so you will need to change it in the same way in the cmd window only the comand will be instead of "del filename.mkv"(for example) after you are in the
right drive and directory:
rename "test space.mkv" testspace.mkv

Instead of running a CMD prompt and typing everything, just start up Winrar or Winzip, kill Explorer, then delete problem MKV files to your hearts content within Winrar or Winzip.
Winrar and Winzip will navigate your folders as well.
After you are done, create a new Explorer task.
or..... if you need to rename MKV files, just rename them within Winrar/Winzip with Explorer not running.
I change the MKV extension to AVI (in Winrar with Explorer killed) in order to avoid Explorer issues, if I ever want to move the files in the future without needing to kill Explorer all the time to do so .
Using WinRAR works for me. Using the cmd function becomes complicated when I cannot rename my file with the rename command".

1) Replace the RFC library
librfc32.dll
on the client PC with a current version.
620: Version >= 6206.6.1938.4727 (620x.x.x.4727).
640: Version >= 6400.3.79.4740 (640x.x.x.4740).
There is a version of the 620 and 640 librfc32.dll in the attachments: and we recommend that you use Version 640 (compatible with SAPGUI 620) (see below).
620 Version: Download librfc32.rar. Rename it librfc32.exe. This file extracts itself automatically.
640 Version: Download librfc32.zip. You can use WinZip to extract this file.
Note:
It seems that newer (delivered) versions of 6.20 librfc32.dll do not contain this fix. In this case, you can also use the 6.40 librfc32.dll. For reasons of compatibility, you should use the following Microsoft DLLs that are available on the PC for this: msvcr71.dll and to be msvcp71.dll (see Note 684106).

I am trying to create a new dev environment and I'm using VMware Player running Windows Server 2008R2 SP1. I am able to run through the setup checks but when I hit "Next" I receive the error above. Also, I am able to install this on my personal
computer - just not in my VM. Any way to solve this?

Edit: Just to clarify some things.
1) I am trying to install SQL Server 2012 Enterprise Edition.
2) I downloaded the .ISO file using my MSDN License and when I downloaded the file the text boxt next to it said that a product key was not required.
3) I went inside the setup directory and found the DefaultSetup.ini and there was a product key inside that has been confirmed by a rep to be a valid product key.

Try using WinRAR to unzip the ISO file to a local drive and install from there. Please do not use WinZIP.

Error while importing the epa file..help needed urgently..

I am facing a severe problem, I have developed a portal application, designed the pages, iViews roles etc and exported to a file and later downloaded the epa file.
For testing purpose, I deleted my content folder of the pages and iViews from the content administration. But when i tried to import the file, I am getting an error message
" Error extracting the package file. Check the log files for details. "
When i lokked the log file, i found the exception as

Well, I have solved the problem. But I don't know whether it will be the correct technical way.. Because i have to solve the same under a very little time constraint. The solution is given below,
I unzipped the epa file which i have downloaded using winzip. inside the extracted file, i found a zip file with the same file name and extension. when i uploaded that file, it worked fine with out any problem. I tried the same many times. and each time i got the same results.
Please try this if you are still facing the problem..
