WIP FOR REPETITIVE MANUFACTURING WITH VALUATED SALES ORDER

Dear All,
We are in the process of implementing Repetitive manufacturing with valuated sales order(MTO). I want to clarify whether in this scenario WIP will be generated.
Since, at the time of final backflushing, what ever GR done for finished goods, the GI for its components will be done automatically. The components will be issued based on the BOM. I think in this scenario WIP will not be there.
Please tell me whether i am correct.
regards
ranga

Thanks. I have another scenario. My client wants to transfer all cost of HR,Admin, finance etc and other indirect production cost center cost to production cost center. I mean they want to charge on the product. I have to production cost center. Client will give me the basis for allocating the cost. I have to do assessment and distribution for cost allocation
But, I want to clarify how do i include the admin, hr or finance and indirect production cost center cost in cost component structure if i do the above process.
How to do the cost splitting.

  • Third party process with Valuated sales order stock

    Hi All,
We have third party sales order process with valuated sales order stock. The problem is that in the theird party PR which is triggered directly from the sales order it determines a stock account which is assigned to the BSX key in OBYC.
But since this is third party processing as per my understanding a consumption account assigned to key GBB-VAX (since account assignmnt category is X) should get determined, so that when the GR is done against the PO a consumption posting is done in the background.
I am not able to understand if the system is determining the stock account due to the fact that it is valuated sales order stock and if so, what should happen after GR. Should we have a stock created for the material which is physically directly delivered to the customer?
    Regards,
    V S

    Hi,
Check GBB-VKA which is defined in OME9 for your ''E'' Account Assignment Category that SAP will debit upon GR posting
Also check "X" GBB-VAX and the G/L account assignment in OBYC
The posting on GR should be debit KBS -Credit GR-IR

  • ECC ehp4 A&D Subcontracting in combination with valuated sales order stock

    Hello Experts,
a customer's Equipment (serialized material) is received in a valuated sales order stock (special stock E) and must be delivered to a third party service provider in subcontracting, with relevant spare parts (special stock O). The proces is originated in the Customer Service module where a "Returns and Repair" scenario supports the material return (inbound delivery) from Sales order type RAS Repairs / Service, on the plant, in a valuated sales order stock. Based on a repair procedure a Service order is created from the Repair order to track repair activities which are mainly executed at the workshop (planning plant). Our customer needs to deliver the component to an external service provider. Service order and Repair order have both a PS WBS account assignment.
Tracking of vendor's stocks levels with related deliveries and outputs is a must for the customer. Main Equipment to be repaired is stored in the sales order stock A. Components are stored in a different plant, in (valuated) project stock.
We activated the relevant business functions for Maintenance and Service processing in the Aerospace & Defense industry (MRO) including LOG_EAM_ROTSUB, A&D Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul AD_MRO_CI_1, Material Exchange with ATP Check AD_MRO_CI_2, Rotables/Sharing of Spare Parts, Subcontracting Improvements AD_MRO_CI_3 with exclusion of LOG_EAM_ROTSUB_2 for which EHP5 would be required.
The result is an error (AD_SUBCON094) that occurs when you try to create the subcontracting purchase requisition stating "You are using Subcontracting for MRO processes. During maintenance of the purchase requisition item or purchase order item, you set the account assignment to a PM/CS order. If you are additionally using a valuated project or sales order you would have two real accounting objects, therefore this combination of account assignment and special stock is not allowed.
Choose a different account assignment or a non-valuated special stock."
I'm also investigating on note 863154 - A&D subcontracting components from special stock. This note states that components must be on the same special stock which seems preventing again the above mentioned scenario. Please advise if you already implemented a similar process and if you have any way to support the same.
    Thanks,
    Stefano

    Stefano,
Do you have a solution for this?

  • Product cost by sales order with Valuated Sales order stock

    Hi Gurus,
I am working on Poduct cost by Sales Order with Valuated stock. but i have doubt ragarding to Cost estimation.
1.In sales order scenario also Standard Cost estiamtion (CK11n and CK24) and Marking, Releasing is Mandatory? if not how can we estimate the cost?
    2. If we are estimating the cost by using Standard Cost estimate, when can we estimate the cost?
can anybody please give me the steps which we are following in Poduct cost by Sales Order with Valuated stock from starting to end Settlement
    Thanks&Regards
    Prasad

    Hi,
there are 3 types of scenarios in MTO.
In Two scenarios Sale Order would be cost object - (Non-Valuated Sale orders stock and Valuated Sale Order stock with Sale order being Cost Object)
In third scenario (Valuated Sale Order Stock without Sale Order controlling), Only Production Order is the Cost Object.
In all the cases wherever the Sale Order is the cost object, Sale Order is the final Receiver.  Only the difference is that in valuated sale order stock, stock entries would be passed to FI and in non-valuated sale order, no goods movement for FG will be there.
Please let me know if you need further details in this regard

  • Valuated Sales Order stock for Semi-Finished Products

    Dear Gurus,
One of my client faced the issue that the semi-finished products is valuated-sales order.  We are in Mill Industries, downstream (steel processing).  The situation is:
    1.  We use configuration material for both finished and semi-finished products. Both are valuated at standard costs with valuated sales order stock.
    2.  Once the sales order is created, the cost estimates are created for both Finished, and semi-finished products.
    3.  The production orders is created for the semi-finished products.  During production, several semi-fg and fg can be manufactured at the same time.   We are using the co-products feature to cover that.
    4.  During the goods receipt of semi-finished products, instead of using the standard costs in sales order cost estimate, it use the planned costs in production orders which against our design.
I tried to use the user exit COPC002 and influence the standard costs.  But it seems that the routine is not called for semi-fg at all.  Anyone has any light on this?

  • Valuated sales order stock for configured material

    Hi All!
I have a small problem   : I created a new type of material (OMS2) - a configurable one, managed on quantity and value basis. I work with valuated sales order stock for configurable materials but the account in the purchase requisition is determined by means of event key GBB insted of event key BSX.
    Where is my error?
    Any idea would be appreciated.

  • Make-to-order: COPS for  KMAT materials (Non-valuated sales stock)

    Hello,
We are working with KMAT configurable material (i.e. non valuated sales order stock).
The client is requiring that inventory of these KMAT material should be shown in the financial accounting;however as we work with KMAT, this seems not possible.
    The whole process is:
    - taking of the sales order with the configuration
    - MRP and Production order Execution
    - Settlement of the PO to the sales order
    - Settlement of the Sales orden to a given account in FI (just like "stock for customer order") - inventory.
The problem we are facing now is how to make the compensation of this account once the product is delivered.
It seems the sales order's default settlement receiver is only the PSG. can we have to use the result analysis key to calculate the cost of sales, and which valuation method can we use if I only want to settle the actual cost that settled from the production order.
By the way, I have search for the notes:Note 26459  it seems we have to run the sales cost estimate first for the KMAT.
    Summary
    Symptom
It is not possible to perform results analysis on sales order items with materials of material type KMAT.
    Additional key words
    Transactions KKA3, KKAK
    Cause and prerequisites
In make-to-order production, the inventory and the cost of sales are not posted through goods movements because the materials are managed in a non-valuated sales order stock. The only way to create postings in FI is to use results analysis (see Note 26456). If the sales order item consists of a material of material type KMAT, results analysis is not possible because no cost estimate exists for this material.
    Solution
Results analysis must be performed with a valuation method that uses profit basis C. With this profit basis, the system uses the planned costs of the production orders for the sales order instead of a cost estimate for the KMAT material.
In Release 2.2 a modification is needed for this which is described in Note 25772. In Release 3.0 this function is provided as standard.
From 3.0C onwards the planned costs of the sales order can also be calculated in a product cost estimate for the sales order. You should use profit basis E in this case.
However, if you are using assembly processing with production orders, you can only use profit basis C.
Hope the scenario is clear. Perhaps you have a different approach to work with KMAT materials.

Can you please provide the solution for my problem and its slight urgent.

  • MM Account determination with valuated/non valuated sales order stock!

    Hi All,
I have been trying to set up MM account determination in our project for sales order assigned POs.What I have observed is that when I have a PO with sales order assignment and according to requirement class (coming through reqt type) in sales order it is valuated sales order stock then in the PO we get the stock account determined through BSX key. But when it is non valuated sales order stock we get a different account assigned through GBB-VKA key. In both the cases the account assignment category in the PO is "E".
Can someone please explain what is the connection between valuated/non valuated sales order stock and MM account determination and if what is happening is right from account determination point of view?
    Regards,
    V S

    These are two different postings:
    BSX: stock posting
GBB: Offsetting entry for stock posting
    Stock posting (BSX)
This transaction is used for all postings to stock accounts. Such
    postings are effected, for example:
    -   In inventory management in the case of goods receipts to own
stock and goods issues from own stock
    -   In invoice verification, if price differences occur in
connection with incoming invoices for materials valuated at
moving average price and there is adequate stock coverage
    -   In order settlement, if the order is assigned to a material with
moving average price and the actual costs at the time of
settlement vary from the actual costs at the time of goods
        receipt
Offsetting entry for stock posting (GBB)
Offsetting entries for stock postings are used in Inventory
Management. They are dependent on the account grouping to which each
movement type is assigned. The following account groupings are
    defined in the standard system:
    -   VKA:     for sales order account assignment
(for example, for individual purchase order)

  • Material Ledger Functionality with Non Valuated Sales Order Stock

We are in the process of setting up Make To Order (MTO) with Non Valuated Sales Order Stock. We currently use the Material Ledger in our other businesses that use Process Orders.
Does the Material Ledger functionality support MTO with Non Valuated Sales Order Stock? I have been testing this and have not yet figured out how to get ML postings. We are using production orders that settle to sales orders. We do not bring this into inventory, the costs reside on the sales order.
If this functionality does exist, I would assume I need to configure the Material Update Structure but I cannot find any documentation on this.
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Regards,
    Greg

    Hi Greg,
no, material ledger will not be able to calculate and allocate actual costs for the sales order in the scenario you describe. It would of course, if you used the valuated sales order stock.
Generally SAP sees in the valuated sales order stocks (avaliable since 3,1 or something) a great improvement and no real reason to use still the non-valuated scenario.
    best regards,

  • External Procurement with a Valuated Sales Order Stock

    Hi Experts,
I read the following in SAP Help,
For external procurement with a Valuated Sales Order Stock, system generates a purchase requisition from the sales order.
If you are using a valuated sales order stock, the externally procured material is assigned to inventory at the time of the goods receipt. If the sales order item is flagged as carrying costs and revenues, then when the goods issue for delivery to the customer takes place, the sales order item is debited with the costs of the externally procured material.
My question is - it says costs of external procurement is debited to sales order item when " goods issue for delivery to the customer takes place"
           - but in my case, when I made the GR for purchase order (created automatically by sales order), system directly posted the procurement cost as actual costs to the sales order item. There is no delivery for sales order done still.
So actually, when should the external procurement cost be debited to sales order item -- when GR for purchase order is done (or) when  goods issue for delivery to the customer takes place?
    Thanks,
    GAN

    Hi Rafi,
Thanks for your reply. I understand the problem now.
Material which comes from prod order is posted statistically (value type 11) to sales order when GR for prod order is done.
Here, the issue is about a GR for purchase order (assigned to sales order). This material purchased is not used in any production process. Its a material which is supplied to customer along with main material produced in house.
In purchase order, I have given the consumption account (which is cost element 1). Entry was Consumption Dr and GR/IR Cr. So, this posted as actual cost to sales order.
I should have given inventory account in purchase order (with cost element 90).
Its a mistake of using consumption account in purchase order.
    Thanks.
    GAN.

  • Valuated Sales order stock with CO Production Order

    Dear All,
Our clinet is manifatcuring cables and having  2 plants, for one plant we have configured PP module so we are arriving valuated sales order stock, for another plant we didnt configured PP module so we planned CO production order, but where as we are not meeting our ultimate goal i.e; valuated sales order stock.
So please guide me how to arrive valuated sales order stock  with CO Production Order.
    Thanks & Regards
    Narasimham T

Valuated sales order stock is not dependent on PP, so you should be able to still to use it.  The requirements class associated with the sales order item determines whether the item is valuated sales order stock and it also determines the valuation method.  If you do not have Boms and routings in this plant you can still value the line item based on the material valuation in the material master. You can also value it based on a unit cost estimate that can be created seperately for the sales order item.  Justt make the desired settings in the requirement class.
    thanks,

  • Question - SD user exit for Billing with multiple sales orders

We have a situation where we are summarizing Accounting Billing document updates via OBCY, transaction type VBRK .
We will also have multiple sales orders per billing document.
One of our accounts is a COGS- clearing account which will post for both delivery and billing documents.
Our goal will be to clear the COGS-clearing account after the delivery and billing has occurred.
One alternative being evaluated is to update the assignment field ( bseg -zuonr) for the sales order.
To do this, one of the SD user exits , perhaps SDVFX008, would be necessary to update the sales order from vbrp-vbel2 to bseg-zuonr.
    I am concerned about
    1) will the update work
    2) what will be the effect on summarization
If we try to implement the user exit , would we be successful to just update the assignment field for just the COGS accruall account.   _Therefore the next effect is that AR,Rev, etc, would summarize , but the COGS clearing would break out due to the update to the assignment field..
Does anyone have any experience similar to this situation.
    Thank you,
    Jeff

    Hi
You can use SDVFX008 or FI Substitution exit RGGBS000 (Form U100)
You can very well update the required GL (COGS Clearing) with the Sales order No... However, how exactly it would behave upon summarization, I am not sure about that.. you need to develop that and see
In the COGS account during PGI, Sales Order No is populated always in the field "Sales Order"... In your case, the COGS clearing account should be having sales order no populated...
So, if you are successful to populate Sales Order No during billing in the "Sale Order" Field for the COGS clearing account, that should also suffice...
or See if you can have relevant sort key in FS00 for the COGS clearing account so that Sales order no is always populated..

  • Non Valuated sales order RA Analysis...

    Hi Experts-
    Please clear my confusion regarding...
1.My scenario is salea order is a cost objective with non valuated stock....In this STANDARD COST ESTIMATION IS REQUIRED OR NOT FOR FInished produsts.
2.If I settele the Production order to my sales order item, At the month end i will run RA key for sales order level in that time what are the entries will pass?
3.In My RA analysis Actual costs are different from working progress.
    Please give u r suggestions.....
Please some one tell month end flow of values in MTO Non valuated stock
    Thanks
    Chandu

    Hi-
Below are my answers to some of your questions:
    1. No need to run STD cost for FG? in case of non-valuated stock?
Answer is NO. You dont have to run STD cost for FG in case of non-valuated sales order stock.
4.It is possible to settele the Variance to sales order in non-valuted scenario?
There will be no variances in MTO. With a non valuated sales order stock, the system does not report all costs of multilevel BOMs on a manufacturing order in which individual requirements semifinished products or raw materials are used. Variance calculation is therefore unreliable and unsupported.
3.Please tell me month end process of MTO scenario
    Production order wip calculation (kkao)
    Production order settlements (co88)
    Sales order wip calculation (kkak)
    Sales order settlements (va88)
i would suggest reading sap documentation on make to order environment as that answers most of your questions.
    hope this helps.
