PURPOSE
WIP Mass Load를 이용한 Discrete Job생성 방법을
기술하고자 한다.
Explanation
(1) Interface Table 정보
WIP_JOB_SCHEDULE_INTERFACE (Header level)
WIP_JOB_DTLS_INTERFACE (Line Level)
WIP_INTERFACE_ERRORS (WIP Mass Load의 Error발생시 참조)
(2) 방법
step1> 위에 언급한 Table에 정보를 Insert한다.
step2> WIP Mass Load Program을 수행한다.
WIP Mass Load 를 실행하면 , Interface table로부터 WIP Job을
생성하게 된다.
만약, 기존의 WIP Job에 대해 Detail한 사항을 수정하고자 할 경우,
wip_job_schdeule_interface와 wip_job_dtls_interface를 모두
작성해주어야 한다.
이 때, wip_job_shedule_interface와 wip_job_dtls_interface는
group_id, header_id가 동일하여야 한다.

WIP Mass Load - Update BOMs and Routings on Unreleased Jobs

I would like to be able to refresh the BOMs and Routings that are used by Discrete Jobs that are currently in status Unreleased. I would like to do this before I run MRP to ensure that any jobs marked as released during planning process have the most update to date BOM and Routing attached.
I have tried to use the WIP Mass Load to do this by updating the Bom Revision Date and Routing Revision Date. Although this works in the Forms, when this Revision Date is updated via the WIP Mass Load,the BOM and Routing information remains the same.
do I need to do something to trigger the change to BOMs and Routings on this Jobs via WIP Mass Load?
I would appreciate any help on this subject.

I think you may be able to use the Engineering Change order (ECO) functionality of the Engineering module to accomplish this. Even the BOM module contains some of the functionality.

Error When Submitting WIP Mass load Concurrent Program (Work in Process)

Hi,
I am submitting WIP Mass Load concurrent program to get the data from WIP_JOB_SCHEDULE_INTERFACE table in to base tables.
The concurrent program is completed with Warning status.
My Package inserts the data into wip_job_schedule_interface table to create a WIP Job. After inserting the data in to wip_job_schedule_interface table, it submits a concurrent program (WIP Mass Load) (Standard concurrent program) to create a WIP job automatically from the data inserted into wip_job_schedule_interface table.
This concurrent is errored out with the following warning message:

WIP MASS LOAD

Hi,
I am working on Discrete Jobs Open interface (WIP MASS LOAD).
How to associate Sales to a Discrete Job using Discrete Job Open Interface. I am able to create jobs by loading information into WIP_JOB_SCHEDULE_INTERFACE table. But, i want to associate the job created to a Sales Order. How to do this. Is it possible.

Use inv_reservation_pub.create_reservation to link the sales order line to the work order.

ERROR: Wip Mass Load-----WIP_ML_ORA_ERROR

When I import Job order from MES system,I get an Error after request the "WIP Mass Load".The error message is like that :
Error: WIP_ML_ORA_ERROR ( ERROR_CODE=-1653)
And the Process_Status is updated to WARNIING,the Job Order which is request in this program can't be add to WORKING IN PROCESS.
What is the reason and how can I avord it?

WIP mass load being launched instead ,Feedback suggestions from APS to OPM'

Hi,
I am trying to run an ASCP plan in the vision instance. I have created a new operating unit and associated plants and warehouses in addition to the PRU operating unit and company. For the seeded PR1 plant it launches the correct Feedback sugestion. But for the new plant that i have created it launches WIP mass load which errors out.
Any ideas to correct this problem?????

This is not an anwser to your question but you may have an answer to my question:
I am also trying to run ASCP in Vision. I'd like to run it in the same database instance as Vision (it appears possible in the user's guide). Is this the setup you are using?
My problem is, the default instance is TST, and although I tried adding VIS in the Instances window, it didn't accept the record (link already exists error). When I run Data Collection, the processes fail (can't write to the file).
Any help will be appreciated,

ESYU: Canceled 상태의 WIP Work order나 Discrete job을 purge 할 수 있는 방법

Purpose
Oracle Work in Process - Version: 11.5.2 to 11.5.10
WIP 사용자 중 Canceled status의 Discrete Jobs이나 WIP Work Orders를 purge
하길 원하는 user가 있다.
하지만 standard form은 closed discrete jobs만을 purge 할 수 있다.
WIP user manual에 따르면 현재 closed 된 accounting period 안에서 closed 된
discrete jobs에 대한 정보만을 purge 할 수 있다고 되어 있다.
다음은 이에 대한 work around 이다.
Solution
Work Around:
1. WIP: Discrete> Close Discrete Jobs> Close Discrete Jobs(Form)으로 이동한다.
2. Find Discrete Jobs parameter에 아래와 같이 입력한다.
From Job = Close를 원하는 Job
To Job = Close를 원하는 Job
Status = Canceled
3. Tools menu에서 Close 1을 선택한다.
Close 1을 선택하면 canceled Discrete Job이 closed 가 된다.
이 때 job number를 기억하고 note 해 둔다.
4. GL과 Inventory Accounting periods가 close가 될 때, canceled discrete jobs
(현재는 closed 상태)를 Purge Job form을 이용하여 purge 할 수 있다.
WIP: Discrete> Purge Discrete Jobs> Purge Discrete Josb from or SRS

Material shortage for Planned Order (Discrete Job) in PWB

Client has planned orders on planner workbench (PWB) ready to release as Discrete Jobs but, because they have frequent revisions, they waits till all components (required to build job) are onhand before releasing from PWB.
They would like an easy way to either check or be notified when the last component required for job is received into inventory so they can release from PWB. They cannot use the standard "Discrete Job Shortage Report" as the job is not created yet. And they don't want to release from PWB till ALL material is onhand
Could we create a custom report perhaps (using same logic as "WIP Mass Load" to determine all component required versus onhand), but does anyone have a better solution how we can solve this?

1) Why would you check for components of subassemblies? e.g. Say your BOM looks like this.
FG1 is made up of SA1 and SA2 and COMP1.
SA1 is made up of COMP2 and COMP3.
Say you are releasing planned order for FG1. As long as the planned order is pegged to onhand for SA1, SA2 and COMP1, you are good. Right?
2) If you have to add custom logic, I would do it using a when-validate-record personalization on the PWB. The personalization will call a function that accepts order number ; does all pegging checks and returns true or false. If it returns false, then the personalization returns error and does not allow release of the planned order. The function will have to be an interative program that traverses the pegging loop to ensure that all lowest level demands are pegged to onhand.

Serial control in wip discrete jobs

Hi gurus,
i had created a discrete job with serial control enabled for components.
but when trying to query for job im unable to get it.
so whats the mistake i did?
when going thru oracle white papers they mentioned to change profile option
TP:WIP Operation backflush setup to online processing mode.(for having serial control in job)
but i cant able to get the profile option in wip responsibilty.
will u pls guide what are mandatory steps for building discrete jobs with serial control and to perfor move transactions?

This functionality provides support for standard discrete jobs with or without a routing.
The User Interface for this functionality is via Mobile Applications
Serialization can be activated within a job...this can be for entire job or beginning at
a specified operation.This new feature is optional. It is defaulted by org parameter and controlled at the job level. The user will need to define the default to steps for the moves.
When turned on, then when Jobs are created automatically ...via CTO or Planning, the serial will be turned on.
The current functionality of serial number generation and uniqueness is used. Auto-generation and association at the time of job creation via Mass Load is added with this functionality. Also import of serials from 3rd party systems is supported.
The serial association can occur anytime during or after job creation. Users can use pre-generated or on-the-fly serial numbers. This association is also not tied to job quantity and is changeable until assigned to a specific unit.
Once the job is 'Serialized', you cannot transact this job through any of the Desktop forms. A new Menu structure is added in the Mobile Applications called 'Serialized Assembly and Material Transaction'.
Users utilize the mobile pages under this menu to perform serialized move or completiontransactions.
These assembly items for which the serial numbers are associated at the time of creating the wip job itself can be transacted only through Mobile Supply Chain Applications (MSCA) .

How to create a discrete job on condition that build-in-wip attribute is No.

two or three times a year, jobs are created in the Discrete Job form although build in wip attribute is No. (never created from MRP)
i have no idea how the job could be created... i tried several times at same condition, but i couldn't.
does anyone experience like this??

Serialization Control in WIP Discrete JOB

Hi everybody,
I want perform a Discrete job which consists of 7 operations.10, 30, 50 and 70 are with Count Point & Auto Charge options and the 20, 40, 60 operations are without Count Point and without Auto Charge. In the 30th operation the Serial Numbers will be generated for the Final assembly.
In routings i have specified the operating sequnce number i.e 30 in routing details window.
If we specify any Item as under Serial Control (Predefined) in Inventory then Serial Numbers button will be enabled in the WIP Discrete JOBS window. There we can assign the Serial Numbers to the JOB quantity.
But I am not able to perform neither Move Transactions nor Material Transactions in WIP even though my job is in Released status.My JOB name is not available in Move Transactions window.
Please help me to solve this problem.

user guide says you can perform serialized move trans through oracle mobile supply chain applications using a mobile device,for further details you can refer metalink Is Serial Number Association Functionality Only Available Using Supply Chain Mobile Applications? doc:-note:265512.1,if you want to track serial numbers thro desktop appl then you will have have start serial tracking from the first operation itself but in your case it doesn't happen like that so i think you will have to use mobile device,once the serialization start operation number appears when you release a discrete job ,you cannot transct thro desktop appl,hope you are clear,post your feedback

WIP Discrete Job status

Is it possible to add a custom Discrete job status? We would like to use it to mass

Right now users are manually updating the status to Complete(irrespective of quantity complete of not). They want this process to be automated for the jobs after three days from scheduled start date, since they have so many in a day. For automation is there any available functionality or If write a custom program to update the status what other tables do i have to update other than wip_discrete_jobs?
Any ideas, appereciate your help.
