ITunes Set-up wizard whenever opening...have to wipe iPhone to sync

Ever since I recently got the new iTunes 10.1.1 everytime I open itunes I have to go through the set-up wizard, this seems to make iTunes no longer recognise my iPhone and thus I ahve to wipe my iPhone everytime I want to add another track or app or whatever. Anyway to fix this?

Just upgraded to an iPhone 4 and will pass my iPhone 3G onto a new owner - but first want to wipe all the data - how is this best accomplished?
Oh and incase anyone is interested - the iPhone 3G was purchased in Belgium and is thus unlocked as Belgium has laws prohibiting cell phone service providers from teaming up with cell phone makers and locking out the competition - so no AT&T like arrangements - and thus the phone is sold at full price and unlocked.

How to wipe iphone clean remotely if lost/stolen?

How do you wipe (destroy) all content on your iphone if it is lost/stolen? I haven't lost my iphone, but I want to know how if it is lost or stolen.
I know this is possible because I watched the keynote address of Steve Jobs and he explained that since the iphone has the capabilities of syncing with your computer remotely, you have the power to completely wipe your iphone clean if it is lost/stolen, yet I have not seen any information anywhere on how to do this. Obviously I can't plug it into my computer to wipe it clean if it is lost/stolen, so how do you do it remotely?

Just restore the phone in iTunes and set it up as a new phone.
is there any way to keep the apps I have bought on there?
They will sync back as they are store in iTunes.

Find My Phone requires iOS 5.0 or higher & an iCloud account, neither of which are supported on an iPhone 3G. Thus, the answer to your question is no.
On some iPhone 3G's, that migrated from MobileMe to iCloud, Apple has stated that Find My Phone "may" work. However, Apple does not support this & recommends you not rely on this.

Cancel pending wipe iphone 4s while offline

Hello,
Have the situation, accidently pressed Wipe button on icloud, the phone was abroad in the other country and icloud could not track it (showed me offline). The message "wipe out is pending..." has appered in the place where my phone is listed. I have deleted iphone from my devices, and icloud shows "No Devices". Question is - while wipe command was pending, did I cancel that command by removing my phone from the list?

Got the iPad back.... the guy would not take a reward.....
I deleted the device, like the tip given above, .... and I performed a backup to my desktop computer. I turned off my home WiFi router, then turned on the iPad. In the iPad I turned off "Location Services" and "Find my iPad"..... then turned on the WiFi router. The iPad connected, and did NOT do a wipe of anything...... I then did a backup to icloud.
When I use the Find my iPhone app on the iPad, it works. When I use my desktop to try to Find my iPad (iPhone) it does NOT work.... and I still have no Devices listed. I changed my password to icloud on both the desktop and iPad.... and that did not help.
So... my only issue now, is figuring out how to add the iPad back to "My Devices", when connected to icloud, via my desktop. (if I'm say that clearly).....
it is giving me a headache.... so, I'll look into this tomorrow..... I'm "good to go", as long as I don't lose my iPad again. (cause I won't be able to find it, via my desktop..... apparently. )

Wipe iPhone 3G

I have an iPhone 3G which will be replaced by an iPhone 5 soon (iOS 4.2).
I know that the best way to wipe the old phone (before I put it up for sale on eBay) is to use the Restore function in iTunes.
If I do not want to use the Restore function (I do not want to restore the iPhone to its original state), what is the next best way to remove all of my personal information from this iPhone?

Restoring would actually reinstall iOS, whereas Erase All Content and Settings would not. However, either option would remove your personal information.

Update has wipe iPhone & restore is failing

I finally updated my iPhone 5 from ios7 to the latest version via itunes
Before the update I installed the latest version of iTunes & fully backed up my iPhone, however not on iCloud
The update restored my phone to factory settings. But when I then tried to restore from backup I'm getting a message that 'failed to restore from backup, session failed'
There's no error code to refer to. I can see the backup folder on my laptops drive (I'm on windows 7)
What can I do. Terrified I've lost lots of pictures in my folder & photo vault app

Wipe iPhone for sale

I did a 'reset all content and settings' on one of my iPhones and sold it online. Before I sent the iPhone, I turned it on, and it was showing the 'Welcome' screen, get started etc. The buyer who received the iPhone says that the iPhone is still linked to my iCloud account and is asking for the password so he can reset the phone. This isn't right is it?

Settings > Messages > iMessage > Off
Settings > FaceTime > Off
Settings > iCloud > (scroll down) Delete Accout (this only unregisters and deletes it off the device)

Hard drive crashed on macbook pro. now i want to recover all my photos on my iPhone (iPhone photos, favorites, stream, etc..) w/ out loosing. do i simply sync my iPhone? paranoid i will wipe iPhone photos when synching to new hard drive image and new iTunes image.
In addition, i lost all of my music when hard drive crashed (time machine backup was corrupted also), is there anyway to recover iTunes music. Music was a combination of purchased, CD's burned, diverse music library, etc.....
