  • I downloaded itunes to a new computer and it wiped everything off my ipod touch???

I got a laptop because my tower computer was ruined except for my drivers. I installed itunes on the laptop and connected my ipod touch and it wiped everything off. I beleive the backup never finished before it erased everything. Is there any way to retrieve my music pics and such now that they are gone and do not even exist on the new laptop?????

I they are not on your new computer they are gone.  If you can't get them from your old computer they are gone forever.
You can only sync an iPod to one iTunes library/computer.  When you change libriares/computer iTunes will erase you iPoa\d and replace its contents with what is in the iTunes library of the hew computer.
You can redownload app and maybe music.  from Itunes.  See:

  • The update wiped everything off my phone.

The update wiped everything off my phone. It was updating fine, and I came back to the dreadful "plug into itunes" symbol.
Can someone please let me know why it did this? I updated to the iOS 7 without any problems like this. It's the iOS 7.0.2 that really effed me over.
I am truly devastated. All the pictures of my family are lost because I didn't think that this would wipe out my phone. If I had known, I would have backed it up.

No device in the world is perfect, and if those photos were so important,
they SHOULD have been backed up in the first place, regardless of what
    device they were on.

  • Bootcamp and WIndows have wiped everything off my HD!!!??

    HELP!!!!
I was installing Windows XP professional onto my macbook last night (granted it was a copy of a friends original version) using the downloaded bootcamp program but half ways through it told me the disk required more information and to insert the required disk or to cancel.....I cancelled out of the opertation and restarted my macbook but to my horror it seems that the entire hardrive and MacOSX has been cleared as now when I start up I get a message on a black screen telling me that there is 'No bootable device -- insert boot disk and press any key'........does this mean that I'm going to have to install macOSX onto the computer again and start from scratch, does anyone know of a way to fix this problem, or have I just successfully and irrepairably broken my macbook>??!?!!
    PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!!!!!!
    Mcbook   Mac OS X (10.4.8)

This seems to be a common problem when installing Bootcamp/Windows. If you don't select the correct partition, it will overwrite the OSX. I think you'll have to reinstall OSX. You might want to check the Bootcamp discussion to see if anyone has a way to recover the OSX partition.

You did not make a backup of your computer before you erased it?

  • Stopping itunes wiping everything off

I had to recently install itunes and im planning on putting some more music on my ipod. However i previously wiped off all the music in my itunes libary because i needed the space. How can i connect my ipod without itunes wiping off all my music on my ipod?

Hello and Welcome to Apple Discussions.
10tozover would be foolish to sell you the disc and it could be of no use to you whatsoever unless you check exactly which version of the iMac G4 10tozover has. For example the discs for a 700MHz iMac plain won't work on the later models.
I'd advise you to contact the seller from your auction and ask them to send you the disc; it's of no use to them.
Failing that simply purchase a brand new version on Mac OS X from Apple. It's going to be much more up-to-date and capable but won't include some of the free software that came with the iMac.

  • Why has my mac wiped everything off my account?

I was aiming to delete some accounts that were not needed and were taking up space. Without realising I started to remove the account with everything I use on it. After I clicked cancel, my account still remains but everything on it has been reset. My pictures, documents, itunes etc.
Does that mean they are permanently deleted? Is there any way I can get them back?

You should be able to restore everything from your most recent backup.

  • If you install the Mountian Lion will it delete everything off your computer

If you install the new Mountain Lion software for Mac will it wipe your computer

No, but you shouldn't be installing it. Right now the only kind you can download are illegal versions and even if the installer doesn't wipe it that doesn't mean there isn't something hidden inside it that will.

  • Computer askinf for bootable device

I started my computer today and it wouldn't start. A black screen shows up with the following messages:
For Atheros PCIE Ethernet Controller v2.0.1.9(12/15/09)
    Check Cable connection!
    PXE-MOF:Exiting Intel PXE ROM
No bootable device -- insert boot disk and press any key
Can anybody tell me what i should do.
    Toksica

Seeing this means that your computer is unable to find a boot device. Either the boot settings were changed or, assuming you were booting Windows off your hard drive like most users are, there is a problem with your hard drive.
Before that message is displayed, enter the boot menu that gives you chocies as to from what device you want to boot (hard drive, optical disc, LAN, etc.) and select hard drive.
If that still doesn't work, it might be time to attempt to restore your computer to factory default conditions. Instructions on how to do this can be found in your laptop's user's guide. Note that this will delete all of your data, but it also quickly determines whether it was a software issue or if there was something wrong with your computer's hardware. If it works after this, great! If it doesn't, it's time to contact to support.

  • I have an old ipod and want to know how to get everything off it and into my iTunes library.  My old computer died and the original library was lost, so don't have any of the content saved anywhere else.

I have an old ipod (it's the very thin oblong one in purple, the one before the one that does video) and want to know how to get everything off it and into my iTunes library.  My old computer died and the original library was lost, so don't have any of the content saved anywhere else.  I now have an iPhone 5S and listen to music on that, so want to be able to listen to things from the old ipod too.
    Can anyone help please?
    Thanks very much

Apple normally does not get involved in handling lost objects like this.  Since a real name is not installed it will be much more difficult.
You can try contacting Apple support at the US number, assume you are US going to BWI from the listing: http://support.apple.com/kb/HE57 and explain the situation and see if they offer any suggestions.
