"Wireless association failed due to unknown reason"

I am running Vista home (manufacture installed on new laptop) and am trying to connect to internet through new router WRT150N. The network is created fine (my other laptop can access it) excellent signal etc, but I keep getting the message "Wireless association failed due to unknown reason". I have tried every different security setting including no security at all and still cannot connect. I am, however, able to connect to the router with a wired connection. I would prefer to not have to chuck this thing out the window but it is becoming increasingly likely.

hi there;
considering the scenario you've got on your network, that there are other wireless pc connecting to the router, then there is nothing wrong with the router itself. all the settings on it maybe correct. just to isolate the problem try to contact microsoft so as to clarify with them on securities and wireless settings of the vista laptop you've got there, so as you won't get frustrated thinking about your immediate problem.
i have a friend who uses the same brand and model # as yourself, and he does not have any issues with his win vista connecting to the router.
give microsoft a call, just to clarify things.

That is indeed the weird thing but to me this seems also the reason to first look at you OS system itself because it is almost impossible that both CS4 and CS5 have same fault behavior in one day I would think.
Make sure you have sufficient disk space and also double check if you have read and write permissions for the disk and folder you are trying to save the PDF files to (choose folder in finder and the hit cmd + i or get info from menu file) and at the bottom of the window check the permission settings.
Also run Apple Disk Utility to check and repair permissions.

EAP-TLS or PEAP authentication failed due to unknown CA certificate during SSL handshake

             I am trying to test EAP_TLS authentication on acs 4.2.1.15 running on Appliance 1120 , I have installed my server certficate along with CA certficate on my appliance box , I have enabled features of EAP_TLS under golbal authentication setup .
             I have downloaded client supplicant certficate file for my windows XP machine .
When i tried to authenticated i am finding following error message under failed attempts(EAP-TLS or PEAP authentication failed due to unknown CA certificate during SSL handshake) on my acs appliance box .
Under certficate revocation list , I have forced my CA as CRL in use . Attached snap shot of all .
Suggest me whether i need to enable all corresponding CA certficate undercertficate trust list , Kindly let me know were i am doing wrong on this ..

I am NO expert on certificates but I have seen your error dozens of times from wireless clients on my Cisco ACS 4.2 Radius server.
Through trial and error I wrote up this procedure for our Helpdesk for installing certs in Windows XP and Windows 7. These steps haven't failed me yet and the Helpdesk doesn't bother me as much anymore so see if this helps you:
-          Manually install the Global CA under BOTH Trusted Root Certification Authorities\Certificates AND Intermediate Certification                      Authorities\Certificates
-          Manually install the Intermediate CA under JUST the Intermediate Certification Authorities\Certificates
-          Delete the wireless network from the computer
-          REBOOT!!
-          Open the Microsoft Management Console, “mmc”.
-          Go FILE\Add Remove SnapIn. Select Certificates ..
-          If promoted, do it for “My User Account”.
-          Make sure the certificates are where you put them.
-          If you see any of these exact certificates out of place in either Trusted Root Certification Authorities\Certificates or Intermediate Certification                      Authorities\Certificates, remove them.
-          Redo wireless network setup again

Laptop Toshiba P50-A-K9M often freezes due to unknown reason

Hi,
My Toshiba P50-A-K9M constantly freezes due to unknown reason. My OS is Windows 7 64-bit.
Initially I thought that it was due to overheating. However, when I enabled CPU temperature monitor I noticed that freezes happen even if the temperature is relatively low (39%).
My second guess was about memory. But Windows memory diagnostics passed without any problems.
I can't confirm it but I've a feeling that it happens on CPU intensive tasks but it's not linked to particular program.
I had freezes while compiling an Android application, other times it was during browsing in Google Chrome... I even had a freeze when only File Explorer and Image VIewer were running in foreground.
Could you help me with this problem?

Try removing one of your memory sticks and run it that way. Try one at a time and in different memory slots to fully test your memory.
Run a boot time virus scan
Run a full disk check to test the hard drive.

When attempting to burn an audio cd from my playlist, I get an error message that says, burn failed due to unknown error (4280). It has been working fine for months...any solutions?

I have the exact same problem.
Been searching through this site to try and find an answer but still not come up with anything.
The wierd thing is that a couple of days ago it was working fine, and suddenly overnight it's stopped working.
The only solution i've found is that you need to have administrator rights as it says in the posts on the site below:

Noticed by the diagnostic in your post that you dont have admin rights like me so that mite be the problem. Not sure if this is the right solution though.

Application is failed. due to some reason

Please find below the error shown in tomcat logs. Please note that it doesn't display the name of the class, that it is not able to find. Generally, along with java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError , the class that it is not able to find is also shown. This error comes while running same application under tomcat at different levels. One application is under webapps directly and copy of this application is kept under 1.0 folder. This error comes only after sometime of starting the tomcat. On restarting the tomcat, the error doesn't occur again and everything is fine. It pops up again after sometime. This behaviour is seen on UNIX only. This setup works well on window.

Software update always fails due to "unknown error"

When I attempt to install software updates on my Macbook Air the process always fails with an error message that says "unable to install due to unexpected error" (or something like that). Any ideas how to fix this problem? I've found some references to this problem in the discussions but the proposed fix didn't work for me.

OutOfMemory Error due to unknown reasons

HI ALL
In my application iam reading an audio File nearly of size 55, 100MB etc and the graphical display
of the audio file is shown.Recently we have included the feature of opening multiple audio files
using JInternal Frames. Now when i try to open the above said size file OutOfMemory Error is thrown.
Iam not able to find the reason as iam cooly able to open the file in single JFrame.
I even tried to create only single JInternalFrame to open the 100MB file only but even then OutOfMemory Error is thrown
The code for drawing the graph is:

I thought to increase the Ram Size with command java -Xxm.... but i heard that the appl will become
slow and has many draw backs so i want display the graph without increasing the heap size.
Any Ideas /Suggesstions will be greatfully thanked.

Sorry - part of it is I'm not sure what logs to post. I've tried downgrading the kernel from 2.6.39 to 2.6.38 (seemed to start after the kernel upgrade), switching from Wicd to NetworkManager (couldn't even get NetworkManager to work) and looked through the various logs in /var/log, and none of them seem to have any errors - heck, the pm-suspend log claims that the suspends are a success. If I run pm-suspend in a terminal, it seems to do nothing and if I kill it it does a wonky suspend that pretty much renders the computer unuseable afterwards. (With a nice graphcal distortion.)
Kernel logs don't report errors either, and the problems occur if I suspend from the XFCE menu as well.
Also, my wireless card shows up as: Atheros Communications Inc. AR9285 Wireless Network Adapter. I also tried removing the logmein-hamachi daemon I installed recently.

CCMS_BI_SETUP fails due to unknown system

I am having to re-run CCMS_BI_SETUP and it is failing because on an unknown system. This system has been decommissioned and I have removed it from everywhere I know to (LMDB, SLD, DBACOCKPIT, etc.) but the job is still looking for it. Where do I remove the entries for this system so this job will run. Thanks in advance.

CCMS BI SETUP preps up solman for BW usage, it is an internal job specific to solman, it has no connection with the any satellite system. Therefore, I suspect it has something with Setup BW step in the Autimatic Configuration in solman_setup. Would you check the RSA1 txn in solman and look for the entries in BW source system field on the left side of the screen? Is it mentioned correctly?

HT204032 This update keeps failing due to "unknown error"

I have tried using the app update, downloading the update from website but both get to the restart pop up then says "unknown error, unable to install" then the screen goes dark grey with just a cursor, I left it like that for two hours before holding the power key to force shut down.

When I try to export my digital certificate (make a backup copy), firefox says that backup PKCS # 12 could not be done due to unknown causes.

I obtained new digital certificate, which is working without any problems. When I try to export backup copy of new or already existing certificate, I get response window that exportation failed due to unknown reason. I use Firefox 3.6.14

The same problem occured with FF in Linux. The solution found there was to uninstall Torbutton, restart FF and try again. In my case I had to try twice. There may of course be other plugins that cause problems ...

Master Data Process chains failing due to special charecters?

we have done all the master data(FI,SD,LO,QM,PM,MM,PP,PS) and created process chains and transported into production system.
when we run the process chains we are facing lot of issues regarding special charecters.
for example. 0MAT_VEND_ATTR Data source.
MATERIAL VENDOR (field - IDNLF).

I don't think its a global setting problem.
Permit the char in RSKC...
Check with the functional team why they are getting Special char values in the loads. ask them to rectify the special char so that you can extract the same to BW side.

RESTORE failure: "due to unknown error"

ITunes prompted me to install latest update. Install failed and IPhone locked. Got message that indicated IPhone was in recovery mode and needed to be restored. Have attempted restore several times, which always fails with a message that says, "Restore failed due to unknown error." Any suggestions as to how to proceed? Thanks.

exact same thing happened to me when updating to the 2.02 software, error code 2005. i realized that i was using the cable from my originial iphone. it works to charge the 3G iphone and sync, but apparently not to update software. and they are almost impossible to tell apart.
switched to the 3G cable and all was updated and restored. you would think they would either make the cables compatible or clearly identify them as different.

I previously was able to wirelessly ePrint to my HP Photosmart Plus e-All-In-One B210a using both my iPad & iPhone (both run IOS 5.1). For some unknown reason neither one can now print. I keep getting a message that the printer is no longer available. My MacBook continues to print ok. Any ideas?

Reboot everything. Router, printer and pad. If it used to work, it will again. It just lost itself somewhere.
