Wireless camera wvc200 can't locate on network
when i try to install the software that came with it i get to step 5 searching for camera and it cannot locate camera on network. but the power light is on and the ethernet light is on and it shows a ip address in the window.also i have it pluged in to my wireless router model no: wrt310n
If you have an IP (not 192.168.1.115 or 192.168.1.99), you should be able to go to your Browser and connect right to it, why use the Wizard? Which firmware are you using? If it is 1.2.1 then you'll need the new Wizard on the Support site and not what comes on the CD (if you want to use the Wizard).

Hi everyone! WE just got an ipod touch 8G. We do have wireless internet, but can't join the network with the ipod touch. Message comes up.."unable to join the network".....very frustrating! Wireless not working - can't locate servers on more than one network
I am having a really strange problem with my wireless on my iBook that I'm hoping someone out there has had before, or has ideas for fixing.
This began a few days ago. My computer could get on wireless networks, but when I tried to use my web browser, it couldn't locate any servers. I at first suspected it was the network that I was using that was the problem, but I've since gone to several cafes and my university to try to use their internet. I get this problem about 50% of the time, despite the fact that others are using the same networks with no problems. Sometimes a network will work on and off (ie it will work fine at first, then not be able to locate servers) and sometimes they never work at all.
I'm wondering if there's any kind of reinstallation or resetting of settings that I can do short of reinstalling OS X (or if a reinstall would even work). Does anyone have a suggestion for me? Again, I have already determined that it's not the networks I'm using that are the problem (and I don't have my own internet, and can't go fiddling with router settings at the cafes around me!).

Is the AirPort Express (AX) the only router you have? If so, you need to make sure that it is configured to "share a single IP address". -

MY HP Laserjet Pro 400 Color MFP M475dw (9 months old) no longer finds any wireless network in my home. It worked fine then stopped for no reason I can determine. Nor will it print via USB cable direct from my PC. I opened a case with HP on 9/1/14 for this issue (Case [Edited for Personal Information]) but have only received emails from HP asking for a valid phone number and the address of the printer location, all of which has been provided several times. The first email from HP gave me a phone number to contact HP but that number was missing a digit (1-890-946-500). Please help! How can I set up an AirPort wirelessly in client mode on a roaming network?
I recently set up a roaming network within my office using a RADIUS server for access control. I have multiple airports connected to our broadband via ethernetcable providing a seamless network over a large space. It works great.
However, now that I've done this, I can't get one of my airort expresses to work as a wireless music box with speakers plugged in. This airport is in a location that has no ethernet nearby, which is fine because I just want to use it to play music, not extend the network. It's MAC address is configured in the RADIUS server as an authorized device.
I've tried this "client mode" setup, and a variety of other combinations of settings like making it part of the roaming network as an extender, with no avail:

Everything I've tried gives me the "AirPort Utility was unable to find your AirPort wireless device after restarting" message, and my AirPort has only a yellow light.
It seems the AirPort Express is totally incompatible with a roaming network. Is there any way to make this work?

RobBefore we get into details here, do you understand that the Express will not be be able to "extend" the Xfinity wireless network wirelessly?
The Express can only extend a network wirelessly from another Apple AirPort router. Another way of saying the same thing is that if you want to "extend" wirelessly, you will need two Apple AirPort routers.
The Express will need to be permanently connected to the modem/router using an Ethernet cable if you want it to extend the Xfinity network. -
Original Airport Cart can;t locate network? Help!!!!
I have a 2002 quicksilver g4 with the original airport card installed. It had been working flawlessly up until recently when it can;t locate the wireless netowrk in my home. I know it it's recognizing the card because it doesnt say "no airport card installed". I also know the nework is working because the two ither computers in my home locate the network and connect no problem. Any possible solutions?

I'm a big fan of just "starting over." Somehow, a glitch got introduced. Rather than digging around and trying to find the glitch, and possibly introducing more in the process, why not start over? (If you like figuring glitches out, ignore the following...)
Turn off airport on your g4. Delete references to your network in "Network Preferences" and in Keychain access in utilities. Reconfigure your wireless router to factory defaults. Restart your wireless configuration. Once all computers are up and running wirelessly, reintroduce wireless security.

Extend Wireless Network using a Telstra technicolor Gateway wireless Router to Airpot extreme but Airport will only except "join a wireless network (which it does) not "extend a wireless network" (Led turns yellow and I can not get a network working on the Airpor Extreme ethernet ports but can ping Airport extreme from Technicolor Router.
Airport gets it address DHCP.Funny how I can ping the Extreme but the Hard Ethernet ports dont seem to work correctly.
When the AirPort Extreme is configured to "Join" a wireless network, the Ethernet ports are not enabled.
Oddly, the AirPort Express has a special feature that will allow it to to "Join" virtually any wireless network.....and the Ethernet port can be enabled. So, an Express would work for your purpose to provide an Ethernet connection to the media player. This assumes that the Express is located where it can receive a strong wireless signal from your main router.
Note that the Express will not provide any additional wireless coverage when it "Joins". -

I would like to use this wireless router with WEP so I can access the camera wirelessly (camera only does WEP encryption).
The camera should be the only device allowed to connect to this router wirelessly.
I can dedicate channel 11 so only this wireless router uses it
I know WEP can be cracked but I'm thinking maybe I can setup the router so it doesn't matter, i.e.,
so only the camera can be accessed through this particular router
so my questions are:
1. can I setup the router so only outgoing local LAN http requests are allowed?
2. any other suggestions on router setup that will prevent access to my network?
(using MAC address filtering (for camera mac address only) is worth doing but I guess MAC address can be spoofed so not a complete solution)

Just updated our iPad2 to iOS 7, and all my photos in camera rolls are gone, can't locate them anywhere. Were they just deleted, or is there a way to find them? Did not have iCloud account, so not backed-up there.
We're you backing up to a computer using iTunes? If so, restore the backup from there.

Can you change the frequenices settings on the time capsule and the mac pro to receive it? Because it is causing errors with other wireless cameras that cannot be changed.

Well here is the issue, as I said, my husband is deployed and he is the one that will be trying to access it. I have the mac book here with me. He has an iphone,ipad, and a windows based laptop with him... Is there a way for him to access it with these devices, to include the windows laptop?
If all of this works can I load pics and movies on it and him be able to access them and then watch the movies?

did update to iOS 7 now I can't access FaceTime , says can connect to network , I am connected to wifi can only see my Ipad on find my iPhone can't locate my iPhone 5 though?

This may be related to a new feature embedded in iOS7 that shows all purchased music by default. Go to Settings > Music, then turn off Show All Music. See if the issue ceases once the feature has been disabled. This information is located on page 63 of the user guide below.

No. Find My Phone is the only way to locate any lost iPhone. However, this requires that Find My Phone be turned on/activated before the phone was lost, and the phone must have an Internet connection. If your phone is turned off, does not have an Internet connection, or has been restored, there is no way to locate it.

Can anyone help please? I am trying to connect my remote speakers to my i-tunes library using Airport Express. Everything is connected and working using mt OS device (Ipod Touch 5th Generation) that works fine. I have tuned on home sharing and it says in itunes preferences that I am paired but according to the light on the airport express base station I am not connected to my existing wi-fi network. I cannot find the itune airplay icon anywhere in itunes nor can I find the network link by hovering my pointer of the network connections as suggested in the instructions that came with airport express. Would apprecaite some help please you can give. - thank you.

i'm not trying to get rid of you here, but it might be worth also checking-in/reposting over at the Airport for Windows forum. when Airtunes things get sticky, i generally defer to iFelix or RJ in WI, and they spend a lot more time over there than they do here.
(traffic is so heavy in here at the moment that this thread might be buried out of sight before an AirTunes guru gets to see you.)

Itunes 11 "add to library" not working (drag and drop too)
I just updated to itunes 11 and the add to library function is not working both manually and drag and drop. I used to be able to add a video to the itunes media file, click add to library, click the file and it would pull it in to itunes. None of t
