Wireless Charging Stand NFC Not Working

I am trying to figure out how to configure the NFC for the DT-910 Wireless Charging Stand for my Nokia Lumia 920. It charges fine, but I cannot figure out how to get the NFC to work. When I go to the Accessories Settings, nothing is listed. Do I need to manually download something to do the configuration?

Ok, through trial and search I found the solution!
In the nokia forums, look at this post:
http://discussions.nokia.com/t5/Pool-of-Knowledge/Nokia-Windows-Phone-8-App-Updates/m-p/1640082#M242
install the lumia pusher
open the new app
select the “accessories” app and let it install (note the 928 isn’t listed, but it works)
now go to your normal “settings” and scroll down to the bottom and you’ll see “accessories nokia accessories settings”
tap your phone on the base of the stand and it will ask you to run the app (approve). You can make settings changes now for weather, clock, calendar, etc.

My wireless charging stand NFC enabled app loads slowly on my Lumia 920.  It takes over 15 seconds to load the app that was initiated by NFC on my wireless charging stand.  The app takes under a second to load if I load if from my start screen.
How do I fix this slow app loading through NFC on my wireless charging stand?
    -Paul

    SvenJ,
I just went into Settings: System: Accessories: Charging Stand: (and waited a little while for it to load before I could open "Charging Stand" and change the settings.
That is where I set the app I wanted to open.  You can also leave feedback there for the charging stand.  It worked right away but it is really slow to load the app you choose.

I am using chat-r wireless and facetime is not working but when i put rogers fido or any other carrier sim in it work. Anyone know what the problem?

I'm guessing it's a compatibility problem similar to that that T-Mobile in the US has. I'm not familiar with chat-r wireless, but I'm guessing it's not a supported carrier for the iPhone. If they can't tell you how to fix it, I'm guessing it's just plain not going to work.

  • X100e - Wireless is on and not working

    Hi guys,
I am completely new to the forums and to thinkpads. I have had my think pad for 2 months. Till yesterday everything was working well, until I decided to update the drivers. After it the wireless stoped working. Problem is exactly the same as:
    http://forums.lenovo.com/t5/ThinkPad-Edge/Wireless-apparently-active-but-not-working/m-p/280548
However, the solution does not work for me. All my drivers are up to date. I did reinstall the Realtek driver, access connections and updated bios without any luck. Clicking repair does not solve the problem. The wireless is not shut off in the BIOS. Do you guys have anything in mind?

    Hello,
A couple of things to try:
Toggle the Wi-Fi radio on and off by pressing the Fn+F5 key combination.
Open the Device Manager (filename: DEVMGMT.MSC), remove the wireless adapter, then reboot and let Windows re-detect it.
Let us know the results of the above, and we can proceed from there.

As for your non-working keys, perhaps debris somehow got beneath the keys.  Especially if you were eating while using your computer.  Spilled anything on the keys lately or previously?
How to remove and clean your Macbook Pro Keyboard
Cleaning Macbook keys after a spill
If none of the above applies to you, you could have a hardware issue.  If you have Apple Care, call them and get a case number.  Otherwise, take the computer to an Apple store or an AASP.  Whichever is more convenient for you.
Liquid damage is not covered under Apple's standard 1 year warranty or Apple Care.
NOTE:  If you are out of warranty and purchased the computer with a credit card, discuss the warranty issue with the credit card company which you purchased the computer with.   They are the only ones who can at this point cover the computer after it goes out of warranty with the manufacturer (Apple).
If you have Homeowners insurance, place a claim with them.

  • How do I fix my computer charger if its not working?

I've been trying to find a way to get my charger to work but I still don't see any light. Nothing is showing to indicate that something is broken. It just doesn't want to work for me right now. I need help, if someone has already fixed this problem a solution would be much appreciated. Thanks

    kaycface,
do you know whether it’s the charger that’s not working, or your MacBook Pro that isn’t charging?
Do you have access to another MacBook Pro? If so, you could try your charger with that other MacBook Pro, to see if it charges that. If it does charge the other MacBook Pro, then the problem lies with your MacBook Pro; if it doesn’t charge the other one, then the problem lies with your charger.

  • Ultraslim wireless keyboard and mouse not working

Hi ,  I purchased the Lenovo Ultraslim Wireless Keyboard & Mouse (pn: 57Y4700) about 4 months ago for use with my T60 laptop (which i use with a docking station and large lenovo monitor at work).
Everything was woking fine until last Monday when I can into work after the weekend and neither the mouse or keyboard worked. I replaced the batteries in both, rebooted the machine several time, switch the USB ports for the nano receiver, but nothing seems to have worked.
I looked online for troubleshooting options, but did not find anything.
The mouse and keyboard don't seem to have a "sych" button - if I recall correctly everything worked right out of the box.
My theory is that the nano reciever was damaged (not sure how) -- but don't know how to proceed:
    can the nano reciever be replaced;
    any other options to troubleshoot;
any chance that this could be a software problem
    Thanks

  • Nokia Charging Stand NFC does not work on 920

I just received my Nokia Charging Stand DT-910 to go with my ATT Nokia 920.
    1) I ordered the black stand.  The stand and proprietary cord are black, but that huge AC charger is actually white.  I can't believe that they didn't match the color on such an expensive accessory.
    2) The actual NFC functionality does not work for me on the 920.  Yes, when I tap the 920 to the base of the stand, I correctly get the NFC popup, and when I accept it takes me to what is obviously the Nokia software.  The screen is titled "Charging Stand", and it starts on the Set Up page.  It shows a diagram of the charging stand.  The problem is that this app hangs.  The progress dots on the top of the screen never stop moving.  And the list where I am supposed to choose the application to open stays greyed out and never responds.  It just continues hung like this forever, or on one occasion the phone rebooted itself.
Is there a fix for this?  The software hang is making my stand useless in terms of it's NFC functionality....

You can actually get to more support options from that link, like here, http://www.nokia.com/us-en/support/contact/ which offers chat and phone numbers. Not sure what could happen in this case though, as there just seems to be some issues in the NFC implementation. Seems it varies a bit between devices, but overall has some issues. I would guess the number of folks with a wireless charge capability, that also know about this forum is probably small, but I'm sure the issue will gain some visibility as more folks give it a try. As I said I got it past the streaming dots and selected an app to launch, but now I have the interminably slow app launch. The same app that springs up instantaneously from the start or program menu, takes 5-10 minutes to launch when initiated via the NFC tap. I've just turned this off for now, as I expect some software update at some point. I have done some other NFC stuff with marginal success. Tapping the charging base to start an app is not a make or break feature for me. If it is for you, contact Nokia directly, rather than through this user forum.

  • DT-910 Wireless Charging Stand + Lumia Cyan/WP8.1

Device Hub replaces accessories from WP8.0 but the Weather & Calendar "screensaver" has been removed from the list off apps for the NFC tag to launch. This feature was rather nifty as it showed the time, calendar and weather in useful way.
The NFC functionality for the DT-910 is now almost useless, the stand just props the phone up. If you pair up with a Lumia 930 which does not have glance, the experience gets worst as the phone just charges. Why did we have to pay a premium for the stand with it's functionality crippled ?
Please fix the device hub to have feature parity with accessories. Also the system app is noticebly slower than accessories.

Agreed.  Weather & Calendar was a great little app and proved very useful to me. Now, I use nothing when I am connected to the charger stand. I just received the latest Denim update for my Lumia 830 and the first thing that I did was to reconnect to the DT-910 but, unfortunately, Microsoft have still not included this great app wihin the OS.

Sad that the Calendar/Weather app was dropped from the DT-910.  Hopefully someone from Microsoft can address this and get it resolved.

  • Apple Wireless Keyboard 'o' key not working

I have recently acquired a pre-owned wireless keyboard which was working fine until a few days ago. Now the 'o' key has stopped working and some keys do not work with the left shift key - they work fine with the right-shift key and other keys work with left-shift.
I have checked the key using the keyboard viewer and the 'o' is not highlighted highlighted when the key is pressed. I can type 'o' characters using the keyboard viewer.
I have tried pairing the keyboard with another mac and it has the same symptoms on that machine so I don't think it is a software problem or a problem with SVC, PRAM or Bluetooth on the mac ( late-2012 Mac Mini).
I have tried to look for solutions here and in other forums but none of the suggested solutions seem to work.
    Any suggestions?

I would reset the PRAM. If that does not work, I suspect it is failing and/or failed.
I agree, it is not a Bluetooth problem.
