Wireless connection error for HP 7520

I have been trying to scan a document and send to email but all of a sudden I've been getting a " server connection error".  This just started happening yesterday.  In the past, I've been able to scan a document and send as an email attachment right from my HP 7520 printer. I uninstalled and reinstalled my printer but continue to get the same error message!  I have a Mac laptop.  Any idea how to remedy this problem?

Hey , Welcome to the HP forums! I hope you enjoy your stay here. I see that you are experiencing a Server Connection Error on your 7520 when you try to Scan to Email. I can help you with that. To start, I'd like you to turn the printer off. While it is off we're going to unplug your router for one minute and plug it back in. Once your internet connection has returned we'll turn the printer on and try scanning again. If you are still unable to scan then we'll need to do the following:On the printer click on the icon in the top left of the display that looks like a tablet with a phone beside it.Click on Settings.Click on Remove Web Services.From the main screen click on the icon in the top left again.Click on Accept.Click on Yes.Try scanning again.Let me know if this helps. If it does then also let others know by clicking on Accept as Solution below my post.
I hope this helps and I hope you have a great evening!

  • Cannot enable ePrint Web Services - get internet connection error for HP LaserJet 1102W

    I have a HP laptop running Windows 7 Professional 64 bit.  We just changed over to Comcast internet service from AT&T where my HP LaserJet 1102W was set up for ePrint.  After several hours, I was finally able to add the 1102W printer to the Comcast network, access the Embedded Web Server tool and print wirelessly but I cannot set up ePrint.  I have deleted the printer but cannot get it to connect to Web Services.  I keep on getting:  Connection Error. Check Internet Connection but again, I can print wirelessly successfully to the printer but would like to be able to set it back up for ePrint.  My Comcast router is an Arris TG862.
    I have updated the firmware and used the HP Print and Scan Doctor tool but still am not able to get the ePrint Web Services to connect.  Here is the information from the Networking page of the EWS:

    Hi Surf1981,
    I understand that you're not able to enable web services on your printer.  I would try steps listed below.
    1. Open an internet browser type printer's IP address.
    2. Should bring you to the printer's status page.
    3. Select networking tab at the top.
    4. Left hand side select Network Identification.
    5. Under DNS address Configuration select Manual DNS Server.
    6. For Preferred enter 8.8.8.8
    7. For Alternate enter 8.8.4.4
    8. Select apply. You might get a warning saying this could interrupt connection that's fine.
    9. Turn printer off for about 30 seconds then try again.

  • Scan to email server connection error for HP Envy 5530

    Hi, Everyone!
    I LOVE my printer.  But, I had to add another laptop (both WIndows) - and then had to add a couple of monitors to that laptop (and a docking statiion) and now it doesn't want to scan to my emails any longer after working like gangbusters for months.
    I am connected just fine with an excellent signal - but now when I try the Scan to Email feature - a RED X immediately shows up on the right of the control pad and the message says: Server Connection Error. EVEN though I am wirelessly connected just dandy.
    I am not a technical person in the least.  I have no idea what to do.  I tried all the turn off, turn on stuff.  Nothing is working.
    Thanks for our help!

    Hello MisoSilly,
    Welcome to the HP Forums!
    I understand when you scan to email, you're receiving a message stating server connection error using the Envy 5530. I will do my best to assist you! Follow this entire thread on: Re: server connection error.
    Please post your results, as I will be looking forward to hearing from you.

  • Wireless Connection Problems for Home Hub 3 and Vi...

    We have upgraded from BT Home Hub 2 to version 3 and had a BT man (engineer) visit to set it up. He did so with no problems on our PC (wired, runnning XP) and installed all relevant software on the PC and this is connected which so far has been fast (enough - as expected) and reliable. Once the 'main' computer in the house was connected we then tried to connect other things to the internet using this BT Hub 3.
    However when attempting to connect our family laptop (running Vista) we hit trouble. Initially I tried to use the icon in the tray (bottom right of the screen) by clicking on connect to a network, then selecting our hub, then inputting the wireless key and going through the menus correctly. It would only connect 'locally' and not recognise the hub. It says identifying then says unidentified (public network BT Hub 3) and only 'local' access which I then change to private network. With my preivious internet I was able to set it up as Home network - now I can only choose between public or private BUT NOT Home, Work or Public.
    So I then tried the BT disc that comes with the hub into the laptop. I go through the menus - it asks is the broadband light steady blue? Yes. Click next to continue wireless set up. So I press continue. It then asks for the wireless network/SSID BTHub3- numbers and letters and the wireless key. So I put that in correctly (double checking) and click next. It then says Connecting to your Hub which then gets ticked but then the checking wireless key doesn't tick - it crosses, and says failed. It asks me to check I typed the numbers and letters correctly (I am sure of that) and It goes to Manuel set up. Where I select my hub and again type in the wireless key and click next. But the same thing happens - connecting to your hub gets ticked but checking wireless key fails.
    I then get a message that says i should do a wired set up, which I can do and works but on the laptop wired solutions is just not satisfactory - laptops need wireless connectivity. Is this a problem with my laptop, Vista or the hub/modem or a combination.
    I also have been able to connect other things to the internet such as a netbook (running Windows 7) and a games console. Please comment if anthing needs explaining or more detail. Your help will be much appreciated. Thank you in advance.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    John46: I uninstalled the Hub programmes you said to. I then tried to connect to a network (wirelessly - accessed either by going to Start - Connect to or from the icon in the tray (bottom right). I selected my hub and clicked connect. It does its thing and says 'successfully connected to...' I close that and go onto Network and Sharing Center and it shows its trying to identify the network and wait a few seconds it then shows 'unidentified network (public network)...' and that I have only got local access and so cannot surf the web.
    As I mentioned in my earlier post:
    With my previous Internet I was able to set it up as Home network - now I can only choose between public or private BUT not got the choice between Home, Work or Public.
    Hope I've explained myself.

  • Is the iPad wireless connection safe for someone with a pacemaker?

    A friend of mine wants to purchase an iPad, but is worried that the wireless connection might interfere with her heart pacemaker.
    Normally, with other devices,  she disables their wireless interface and uses a wired connection instead, to avoid the risk.
    As I understand it, the iPad cannot be connected to the internet with a wire, only via a wireless link. Is that so?
    If a wireless connection must be used, do you have any recommendations for users with pacemakers, please?
    Many thanks.

    KC7GNM wrote:
    I believe you can connect it to a mac via usb and use the internet through the usb cable. That would defeat the purpose of it being mobile though. Like the others said I would consult a doctor and see if the wifi signals will have any effect. If she uses a cell phone those put out way more power than a typical wifi connection. That is why wifi uses less battery power than 3G
    No, actually you can't. The iPad is a mobile,device with no way to connect via USB other than to synch to iTunes.
    As previously suggested, the OP should advise the friend to consult her physician or the pacemaker manufacturer. However, considering that encountering radio waves of the type used for wireless network connections is COMPLETELY unavoidable is the friend has any mobility at all, I have difficulty thinking it would be an issue or a needed precaution. A quick Google search indicates a pacemaker is NOT adversely affected by wireless networks.

  • AppleTV2 - Wireless Connection Error (0)

    My current setup consists of the following:
    Netgear Sky Wireless Router (RT01) - 192.168.0.1
    Netgear Access Point - (AP01) - 192.168.0.253
    Apple Time Capsule - (TC01) - 192.168.0.254
    Apple Airport Express - (AE01) -192.168.0.252
    All of the above are configured on the range of 192.168.0.* with RT01 configured to be the main gateway for the network with an SSID of RT01.
    AP01 is configured with an SSID of AP01. TC01 is configured with its own SSID of TC01 with the AE01 device configured to extend this network so it has the same SSID as TC01.
    My problem is that the Apple TV 2 will refuse to connect to AP01 or TC01 with any level of encryption at all, it will only connect to RT01 when it's within 10 feet of the device.
    When connecting to the TC01 SSID with WPA encryption or any encryption, I get error (0) and the same with AP01, exactly the same issues.
    I've tried removing encryption on AP01 and the Apple TV connects!! But I do NOT want to leave it like this. I don't think encryption is the problem though as the RT01 is using WPA2.
    RT01 has the TC01 device plugged directly into it with all of the other devices plugged into TC01.
    Can anyone shed any light on is because as far as I can see, there is no logical reason why this refuses to connect to any of the other networks in the house.

  • Wireless connection speed for J2ME app on Palm VIIx device

    I have just developed a J2ME app on Palm VIIx device. Everything works exactly as what I have designed, except that the wireless communication to send and receive infomation is painfully slow. It takes about 1 min. to send and receive 300 charactors on the Palm VIIx device. As for comparisons, it only takes few seconds on the simulator(connected through LAN/WAN) for the same application. And for other defaultly installed non-J2ME wireless applications on the Palm VIIx device, e.x., ABC News, Amazon, etc., it also only takes few seconds to retrieve 500~600 characters.
    Does anybody know why the J2ME wireless communication on Palm VIIx device is so slow? Any solutions?
    My code is like in the following:
    private String getWirelessQueryResult(String urlStr) {
    StringBuffer sb = new StringBuffer();
    InputStream is = null;
    StreamConnection c = null;
    try {
    c = (StreamConnection)connector.open
    (urlStr,Connector.READ_WRITE);
    is = c.openInputStream();
    int ch;
    while((ch = is.read()) != -1) {
    sb.append((char)ch);
    } catch (IOException e) { sb = new StringBuffer("error"); }
    finally {
    try
    if(is != null) { is.close(); }
    if(c != null) { c.close();}
    catch (IOException e) {}
    return sb.toString();

    You've done nothing wrong with your code that I can see. I have run into the same problem on both the Kyocera and the Samsung palm OS phones. If you take the same code you have written here and put it on a motorola phone you will see a huge difference.
    I can only suspect it has to do with the single threaded nature of the palm OS itself. Luck.

  • WPA/WPA2 secured wireless connection fails for two minurtes for every hour of use.

    Hello.
    I have a brand new ThinkPad T500 2055-A16 with Windows Vista Business. I have a WiFi connection problem. It is not a signal strength problem, as it doesn't work even if I place the computer right next to the access point with no other wireless equipment near by.
    None of my other computers experience this problem. I even bought another ThinkPad T500 2055-A16 at the same time as this one, and that does not have the problem either. The problem is when I connect to a network using WPA2-PSK or WPA-PSK. The connection works fine for half an hour, an hour or two hours, but then without warning, the connection is lost and it is not possible to reconnect for half a minute, a minute or two minutes. The exact times vary. When I switch the network to use WEP or no encryption, everything works fine. But I don't like to use no encryption and I cannot use WEP because I have other computers in my home which does not support WEP.
    I had this problem right from the beginning the first time I used the computer. I have tried many things like disabling power management or IPv6 and other things suggested by my ISP, but it did not change anything, so I switched them back to their default value. I have also tried to update the driver for the Intel(R) WiFi Link 5100 AGN card, but that didn't help the problem. The problem became slightly less annoying when I uninstalled Access Connections, because Vista would then reconnect as soon as it could, whereas I in Access Connections would have to continuously press the connect button until it succeeded. But the problem is still a real pain.
    Some pieces from the Windows Event Viewer, which I think looks interesting (these occur regularly at exactly the same timestamps as when the connection is lost):
     Profile match: Success
     Pre-Association: Success
     Association: Success
     Security and Authentication: Fail
    0x00048005 and 0x0003800b
    Result of diagnosis: Problem found
     Issue referred to: L2Sec Helper Class
    I also see the following message on my access point's log, which also occur at exactly the times when the connection is lost:
    1x:00216b4d7ee6:logout
    (The number match the MAC address of my computer)
    The only other message which is logged on my Access Point when all log options are enabled is "Time initialized by NTP server".
    How can I solve this problem so that I can have undisrupted wireless Internet access?

    Edit: Actually my other ThinkPad T500 2055-A16 also fails in the same way, but my ThinkPad SL500 2746-9BG and my Medion laptops works fine, also running Vista.

  • Wireless connection error on MacBook Pro

    MacBookPro, retina display, OS10.8.5 -
    When opened, the CC desktop app reports there is no network connection when there is a good solid wireless network connection. Bizarzarely the Creative Cloud app updated itself over the same network, but CCD will not recognize that the computer has a strong network connection. This is only for downloading and updating apps. I can sync files with CCD. What to do?

    Yes, this has been happening for several days, so I tried another network and it still happened. More bizarre was that today, about 30 minutes after posting to the forum, a CC dialog popped up saying there were updates for CC installed apps. I proceeded and the updates went normally. So then I tried to install Lightroom5 as a test, and that worked fine too. Quite odd.

  • Wireless connection Q for C410a

    Is it possible to connect my HP Photosmart Premium C410a to my computer wirelessly without a router? I have Wi-Fi on my computer.
    This question was solved.
    View Solution.

    With the ad hoc connection, you would have 2 devices on your network. They would be your computer and printer, neither of which can access the internet without the introduction of more hardware to your network.
    With the ethernet connection, you'll have internet between your computer and modem but no connection to the printer because the ad hoc connection is a different network.
    Your printer and computer must be on the same network to communicate and this is why the router is neccessary.
    If I have solved your issue, please feel free to provide kudos and make sure you mark this thread as solution provided!
    Although I work for HP, my posts and replies are my own opinion and not those of HP.

    When trying to run the installer for 8i on Red Hat 6.2, I receive an error statig can't connect to X11 window server using ':0.0" as the value of the display variable. As a newbie to Linux, how do I change the display variable? Also, X windows works fine. All of the java stuff is installed also.

    If you run X from your 'oracle' shell, then ran the OUI from an X terminal, then you do not need to export DISPLAY and xhost, because they have been set.
    You need to export DISPLAY if you want the output of the OUI displayed 'elsewhere' .... either on the same host but on a different login session (say you already ran X from your 'normal' login account) ... or on a different host which has X running ..... Then on that session running X, you do 'xhost +yourip' to allow the output to be displayed on X.

  • Service Connection error for ePrint -- needs web proxy & web port

    I'm trying to set up the ePrinter and rec'd an error message "The printer was unable to connect to the server.  Check the internet connection and try again or enter a proxy address" I am connected to the internet and have no idea what a web proxy address or port is.  Can someone help this dummy?

    I finally got this working.   I ended up buying a new router, but I was ready to upgrade anyway.  It works fine with this new router (D-Link DIR-860L).
    Before I had an ASUS RT-N16 router running DD-WRT, but I loaded the latest ASUS firmware when I couldn't get that to work.  It didn't matter.  The router seemed to lock up after registering the printer with either firmware, so I decided it was the router along with the HP support line.
    Now everything works as documented.
