Wireless download upgrade

Currently have a iPhone 4 running on iOS 4.3.3 would like to download to get iOS 6 thru wireless.

No. There is only one way to update that device, and that is updating it directly to iOS 6.0.1 from iTunes on a computer.
You need to free up enough space on the computer to perform the update. If desired, move some of your files to an external drive.

  • Wireless downloads slower with BT Infinity

I recently upgraded from BT Broadband (ADSL2+ with BT Home Hub 1.0) to BT Infinity. I installed and switched over to the new BT Home Hub 3 before the BT Openreach engineer came, as I was worried about how wireless networking would work as the Hub had to be in a different location from the previous one.
I then ran some Broadband performance tests http://speedtester.bt.com/ to see how well the new arrangements worked. The upload speeds from my main PC (with a wireless N adapter) were in the previous range of 700 – 800 Kbps. The download speeds on average seemed a little slower than before at the 5 – 7 Mbps range, although I did achieve a new peak of 11 Mbps in the late evening.
After the switchover to BT Infinity, I ran the tests again. The upload speeds were very consistent and in the 7 – 8 Mbps range. The download speeds were in the 3 – 7 Mbps range, with most towards the lower end of this range.
I also ran a test late in the evening using a Netbook with an Ethernet connection to the Hub. This slightly exceeded the expected speeds for the BT Infinity service, with over 8 Mbps for uploads and over 35 Mbps for downloads.  On the old Hub with the Netbook and Ethernet connection I had got 670 Kbps for the upload speed and over 12 Mbps for the downloads.
Does anybody know why the wireless download speeds reduced after the switchover to BT Infinity? Is it a settings issue, a software bug, some other fault, or a feature of Home Hub 3 and BT Infinity? It does seem very strange that the upload speed over a wireless connection is faster than the download speed, as well as being much more consistent.

Dont know about that, but I have had my Infinity for a year now, and  the guy who set it up said, that if I go wireless, then my speed will drop.

  • Wireless Download speed much slower than it should be

Wireless Download speed on Belkin N300 is only 1.5 mps and hard wired speed is 50 mps.  Firmware is up to date, what else can I do??  What is the Wireless Router that Comcast recomends??

A Verizon Tech support employee helped solve the issue. Apparrently we still had the same plan when we started and were only getting 768 kbps download and were paying like $21 dollar for it. So we are going to upgrade and get the starter plan and pay $20 a month and get 1 MB download. I might even get the 3 MB download plan.

  • Can I wirelessly download pictures to TC from my iPhone?

Can I wirelessly download pictures to TC from my iPhone?

Yes, that should be possible.. you will need a file app for iOS.
The phone normally has no connection to the TC.. there are a number of file apps, but I am ipadless and iphoneless although my daughter might give me her iphone 4 when she upgrades to 5. So you will need to google for the best file app.
And you will need to setup the TC with a separate folder for the photos,, not iPhoto library.

  • Wireless download 5Meg/sec  but ethernet only 20Meg/sec

I just installed Fios internet using a Verizon modem/wireless router. Other iMac gets wireless download speed of 20meg/sec, but my Powerbook G4 gets only 5meg wirelessly but 20meg with ethernet. Is there anything I can do to improve the wireless speed of the Powerbook?

A recent firmware upgrade has upset the internal configuration, try resetting the home hub to factory default, and it  may sort the problem out.
There is an existing thread about this issue.

  • HP Wireless Printing Upgrade Kit and MacBook

    Hi,
I've bought the HP Wireless Printing Upgrade Kit to connect my printer at the wireless network. That printer is HP Color Laserjet CM1312 MFP. I've set the a static IP on the router settings and for the Windows PC, that are in my wireless network at my home, everything works well.
The problem is about the connection with the MacBook (10.6.8) because there aren't some driver or solution to obtain the access to that printer from a user that isn't on a windows.
Do you have some ideas to help me?
    Best,
    Matteo

  • Restore question and 10.3.9 download upgrade

I can't get my computer (g4 iBook) to successfully complete a download upgrade of 10.3.9 from 10.3.2. It always freezes in the optimization mode and then I have to reinstall 10.3.2 (an archive install) all over again. What is weird is I can't even get my computer to archive install completely without freezing up on it's own. I have to install from another computer via firewire target disc mode. And I don't think I can use disc mode to download the 10.3.9. Right?
    Any ideas?
I thought of doing a complete restore but I have never done that before. And I am not sure what the restore mode is exactly. It sounds like when I restore I wipe the computer clean and then have to reinstall 10.3.2.
Any help here would be greatly appreciated.
    R

Mr. Rodney, have you run "Repair Disk" and what does it report?
    Steps for using Disk Utility
    1. Insert your Mac OS X CD-ROM disc or Restore DVD disc, then restart the computer while holding the C key until you see the spinning gear..
    2. Once started up from CD or DVD, choose Disk Utility from the Installer menu.
Important: Do not click Continue in the first screen of the Installer. If you do, you must restart from disc to access Disk Utility.
    3. Click the First Aid tab.
    4. Click the disclosure triangle to the left of the hard drive icon to display the names of your hard disk volumes and partitions.
    5. Select your Mac OS X volume, if necessary.
    6. Click Repair.
If you repair errors run it until no errors found.

  • Will Wireless Printing Upgrade Kit support All-in-one Printer F4235?

I have not found this information in the forum, I hope someone will be able to help me.
I purchased a Wireless Printing Upgrade Kit and I'm not sure if it is compatible with my printer. I have an all-in-one F4235. The list on the box does not list this model but it says also works with most other HP printers and all-in-ones. I have checked the website and it lists the same printer so I don't know if the list just has not be updated.
I don't want to open the package until I know if it is compatible.

Yes, the HP Deskjet F4235 (F4200 series) All-in-one supports the Wireless Upgrade kit.

  • Why slow wireless download Macbook Pro Bootcamp Xp Leopard

Problem: wireless download speed is much slower running windows Xp on a macbook pro (bootcamp) than when running OS X. Example OS X = 1,164 KB/sec download, 496 upload vs Xp = 265 KB/sec download, 940 KB/sec upload.
I have a Macbook Pro Duo Core running OS X 10.5 with the newest Boot camp drivers for windows installed. Test was done using Speakeasy speed test, Safari/Explorer 7.
funny how only the download speed is slow under Xp, not the upload speed.
    thanks for any help,
    Paul

Here's a solution that worked for me, my chipset is a Broadcom 802.11n (4328). It's a 24" iMac (Pre Alu).
Hopefully it helps others. Broadcom have updated WHQL drivers (picked mine up from here, they have Vista versions on there too) and it was just a case of installing those and changing 2 settings.
Changing IBSS mode to 802.11a/b/g/n Auto:

Setting the Rate (802.11b/g) to 54:

Now my speed is on par with Leopard

  • I downloaded upgrade for LR. After installation, ALL my pictures were gone!!!!! What the hell??? HELP, please.

I downloaded upgrade for LR 5 on my MAC. After installation, I opened LR and all my pictures were gone??? What has happened?  Thanks.

If problem not due to opening wrong catalog, then there is likely some other simple explanation, like you are looking in the wrong place or have a filter set wrong or something.
If you don't figure it out soon, consider posting back with more details and maybe a screenshot or two..

  • Wireless Printing Upgrade Kit and Laserjet P1006

    Hello,
I am just wondering if the HP Wireless Printing Upgrade Kit is compatible with the HP Laserjet P1006 printer. It is not listed on the compatibility list but I have read several accounts of people who claim to be using them together. I have also read posts that state they are not compatible. Either way, they will not work together for me so I am trying to figure out if it is something I am doing wrong in the setup or if the two pieces of hardware are simply not compatible. If anyone has any suggestions I would greatly appreciate it.
    Thanks,
    Lauren
P.S. I am using a Dell XPS M1310 Notebook with Vista.

    Hi,
    I guess that would help:

In turn, I was wandering if one could get away without the PC dongle to avoid the PC looking like a porcupine and rely on the PC's bluetooth or Wi-Fi adapters.

  • How to Install CS2 Downloaded Upgrade on New Win7 Machine

Hi, I have a purchased and downloaded version of CS2 I want to install on my new Win7 computer.  However I do not see an installer in the package.
    How do I install this?

    There is no setup.exe.
In the original downloaded upgrade to CS2 from CS1, there are live applications that can be launched.  However, I'm afraid at this point I may have some value in the registry that will not allow me to continue.  I have no idea why.
Like I said before, when I try to launch CS2, I get the error that my "user name, organization or serial number is invalid.  The application cannot continue and must exit."  I am not given an opportunity to input this information.
I have even installed this as recently as last year on a laptop from the same media with no problems, however I must have done something differently this time and it isn't working.
I'm afraid at this point I am either going to have to start from scratch and re-install Windows, or fork out for the upgrade to CS5, which I don't really need.
That is unless I can locate whatever registry file it is that needs to be modified...   I am not trying to do anything nefarious, only trying to use the software I bought and paid for.
