Wireless Headphones - Will they work with iPods

I am thinking about getting a pair of wireless headphones, but before I invest in them, I want to make sure that they will work with the iPod nano 2nd generation if I get a pair that is not bluetooth. The cord will tend to get in the way while I'm working, which is why I'm thinking about wireless. I asked this before but didn't get any responses.

No ipod has wireless technology built in so wireless headphones are only going to work if the ones you get have a device that connects directly with the ipod to transmit the signal.

  • Headphones don't work with iPod Shuffle

I was using my iPod Shuffle today, and I realized that the sound was not playing L+R sides, but the Right side only worked. I tried using my headphones with my walkman, and they worked perfectly, so now I wonder if anyone else has experienced this, and does it need to be serviced?
if so, does anyone know if this is covered in the 1 yr warranty? if not covered, how much would it cost me to get it serviced? Thanks

You didn't say that you've tried using another sst of headphones with the Shuffle... IF they too lack left channel that would be supporting the conclusion you've already come to.

  • Tavo Gloves: will they work with iPhone?

I am assuming that the Tavo gloves and other gloves made to be able to control the iPods click wheel will work with the iPhone - am I correct in this assumption?

The iPhone, from what I've read, senses the pressure exerted from the skin.
No, the iPhone's screen does not use heat or pressure.
    It's a capacitive touch screen.
An evenly charged electrical field (the capacitance) is generated across the screen. When your finger gets near it, some of the charge is drawn off to you. This current drop (or in the case of multi-touch, possibly drops) is/are measured and located.

  • Boot camp will not recognize wireless keyboard/mouse - will they work with a 32bit version of Windows?

I have a new iMac 21.5" - 4GB ram, 3.60 GZ processor.  Installed bootcamp partition with Win 7 Pro 64 bit - it was sealed box.  Could not get it to recognize the bluetooth keyboard/mouse that came with the unit last Thursday.
From page 5 of the instructions, "What You Need" - The Keyboard and mouse or trackpad that came with your computer. (if they are not available use a USB keyboard and mouse.)
I did follow all the instructions for getting the drivers installed.  Went to all sources of info on the subject from Apple support, internet discussions and forums.  It seems that it is a common and seemingly unsolveable problem that Apple does not yet have a solution for.
The question - will the 32 bit Windows 7 Pro have the same problem?
    BruceM

You need 3.1 or better yet the drivers from Lion and Boot Camp 4.0
BC 2.x was only for Vista and XP
You don't actually "run" Boot Camp 2.x as much as partition with the Assistant, and install motherboard support drivers to Windows.
"I am USING Boot Camp 2.x"
    You're running Windows -- natively.

  • Purchased games will not work with iPod Classic 160GB

I purchased the original seven games (Bejeweled, Cubis 2, Mahjong, PAC-MAN, Tetris, Vortex, Zuma) offered by Apple when they were released for the 5th generation video iPod. That iPod has since died and been replaced by a iPod 160GB Classic. Like all of my purchased songs, I expected my purchased games to be compatible with my iPod. The games in iTunes are only listed as compatible with 5th generation iPod. I was happy to discover that there is a Check for Updates button at the bottom of iTunes so I assumed that all that I needed to do to be compatible with my new iPod is click on that button. Nothing seems to happen though. With the exception of Vortex which seems to no longer be available, all of the other games currently posted in the iTunes store show that they are compatible with the iPod Classic. It would seem evident that the Check for Updates button would address this issue. Why don't I see anything happening when I click on the button? I know that I must be doing something wrong since all of my purchased songs did not need to be repurchased to be compatible. I am guessing that I could repurchase all of these applications to make it work but I do not think that would be fair nor does it sound correct.

in another discussion I read that you are supposed to rebuy the games from itunes store
I am having the same problem with my new 120gig classic

  • EQ Settings - Do they work with iPod mini?

i have an ipod mini and was looking over some reviews for the Griffin EarJams. It said they definatly increase the bass and volume, but decreases the treble.
So if i got these for iPod mini, would i be able to increase treble? Does iPod mini even have EQ options?
    please help, thanks!
P.S. - which in ear add on/headphones do you think are best?

Yes there is EQ on the iPod under the 'settings' menu. One of them is 'treble boost' if you should need it.
    See this.
    About the iPod EQ.
Sennheiser PX100's if you don't ming over the head type phones. Light fold away open backed types with a great bass and treble response. I use these and find I don't need eq (which I hate anyway).

  • X41, X61 will they work with Teamviewer if used as a tablet only?

Hi, Can a PC remote access and control a X41 or X61 Tablet when its off the keyboard base using Teamviewer? Do they operate on special XP tablet editions or XP normal version? Is there a way to get them to work just by touch only? Thank you in advance. regards
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

I have used this machine, a non tablet SL510 running Windows 7 to remote control an X200T running Windows 8.1 with the screen folded down to cover the keyboard. It works fine using Teamviewer. I haven't tried the other way round.
I could possibly test later with an X60T, if that would help, but I don't have one running XP - they are on Linux or W7 or 8.
I don't know about the X41T, but my understanding is that the X60/61T 's came with either XP tablet edition or Vista Business. I have seen some X60T's with Vista Basic stickers, and know of one running Vista Business that has the Basic sticker on the top. Unfortunately, the description part of the COA sticker is totally unreadable, so don't know what version that indicates.

  • Portable stero and ipod doc will it work with ipod touch?

Just going to get a second hand ipod touch, a 2nd generation and I have a couple of queries. First I wanted to know if I could use my old portable stero that was designed for the older generation ipods. I was using the 5th generation ipod in it. It does come with different adapters that allow it to fit other ipods. I hope that I will be abal to fit the ipod touch in one of the adapters. But what I want to know has it got the same connection as the 5th gen ipod and will it be OK to use it in my portable stereo? Cant remember the make of it, it was just a cheap one but I don’t really want to get another one.
Also I have a apple doc that’s connected to my imac which I used for the 5th gen ipod if I can get it to fit, is it OK to use that on the ipod touch?
    Thanks for any help

    Thanks for the reply
Bit worried just to try it as I am worried that it might break pod. Do you know if this would be a prob, or should I just try it when I get it? Still gone cost me a bit. Cant really afford it, but killed my fith gen pod in the washer machine. Forgot to check pockets and I cant do with out my pod I love them. listen to a lot of music you see.
    Thanks again

  • Will Lion work with older programs

I have lots of older programs including Adobe CS, Adobe CS3, Eudora 6.2, etc. that work fine on my iMac running 10.6.8 with i3 processor, will they work with Lion if I upgrade? Just checking before I download the update. Thanks for any info.

CS3 runs but reportedly has issues. Adobe CS, the original version, will not work, nor will any application that is PowerPC only, since Lion no longer supports PowerPC applications. If you don't know what apps are PowerPC only, Get Info on the app, and in the Kind section, it will say. Apps that say either "Intel" or "Universal" at least have the potential to run, though there are other factors involved in Lion compatibility. The RoaringApps site is a useful resource:
    http://roaringapps.com/apps:table
though the most definitive method of confirming compatibility is to check with the developer.

  • Is there a way to use my iPod Nano to listen to a radio frequency with wireless headphones.  It tells me that I have to plug in my headphones to receive the stations and when I do, the wireless headphones don't work!

Is there a way to use my iPod Nano to listen to a radio frequency with wireless headphones.  It tells me that I have to plug in my headphones to receive the stations and when I do, the wireless headphones don't work!

No. I'm sorry. But, i think it uses the headphones as an antenna so it has to be plugged in to headphones in order to make it work. but, it burns the battery down so i don't use the radio function that much.
